Mail Mole has been such a charming experience, I loved every bit of it. The characters are lovely, the levels aren't too challenging and they are visually delightful. There are more than 30 levels, 8 races and a lot of character customization. The controls feel tight, and they invite you to tackle the time challenges and the races against the "mecha-moles", robotic versions of yourself Overall it's such a wholesome experience, enjoyable for both children and adults

Dear speedrunners, this one might be for you, but I absolutely hate this game! Everything from the controls to the childish story is bad. I can't for the life of me figure out which age group this game is for. It seems extremely childish, in the worst way possible, but yet the time challenges are brutal when combined with the horrid controls. I was hoping for a game somewhat like Super Luckys Tale, with the borrowing and all, but I got an unbalanced mess of a game with total useless prizes in…

Okay, so, let me start this by saying there's nothing really wrong with this game in terms of its raw gameplay. Levels are designed fine, controls work very well and there's no glitches at least as far as I know. But this game just feels so half-baked that I can't recommend it. In short: It's a low-budget Super Mario 3D World that encourages speedrunning or at least getting the best time score in its short 21 levels. This is great, if you like speedrunning that is. If you're like me and find…

A 3D platformer that stands out above all for its fantastic level design. There are 8 worlds and in each one there is at least some aspect that differentiates it from the rest. Within each world, there are also 4 different levels between them, with a well scaled difficulty. The first world introduces you to the controls of Molty, although the second world is when things get interesting, introducing the rotating platforms. My favorite world is definitely the snowy one, where there is already…

I was enjoying this game at the start, it's a neat idea for a platformer where you're digging around rather than walking. But for me the character just wasn't really fun to control by the end and that's pretty important for a platformer. It's hard to tell where Molty is when you're moving save for a trail, the skateboard-style "hold jump to jump" just didn't feel good (especially in later stages when you have shockwaves combined with platforms that appear and disappear whenever you jump), and…

I'm a huge fan of 3D platformers in general but this one just doesn't work for a few reasons. Two big issues I noticed right away are that mole moves too slowly and the base jump is pitiful. You have to hold the jump button to charge a super jump, but there is no reason you'd ever want to not jump as high as possible so you constantly have to hold the jump button after every jump. It really throws off the flow of the game. They need to just eliminate that and make him jump higher. He also moves…

Unfortunately a damaged package I unfortunately can't say I recommend this one even though I feel a bit mixed about it, and I feel bad because this is a very underground game with not a lot of attention, and clearly there's a few people that did see something I didn't. I think the main problem is that Mail Mole is fundamentally pretty flawed. The whole concept of playing a 3D platformer as a mole spending most of its time underground, not visible save for jumping or dirt graphics just doesn't…

Target Audience: More Laid Back Platforming Fans Summary: Mail Mole is worth the price of admission, although it's one of those games that's focusing on a sub-set of the platforming lovers of the world. Taking strong influence from games such as Super Mario Sunshine, it's unique underground movement mechanic provides a solid basis for a game that focuses on more straight forward trap avoidance and speed (at times) more then exploration or combat. Level design may be simple, but it…

The main issue with this game is that the most basic and fundamental mechanic of any platformer (the jump) directly conflicts with the mechanic that makes this game unique (the dash). There are two jump heights: a very short jump that is really only helpful for traversing nearby platforms of equal (or very slightly higher) height and chaining dashes, and a high jump. Because jump height can't be fine tuned, some platforms are too high for a short jump but much shorter than a high jump,…

I thought this game was pretty good! Overall, I loved the different aesthetics that the game showed: The Farm, Beach, Temple and… well, I don’t want to spoil the whole game ;) Also, I found really interesting the speedrun sections on which you race against some Mecha Moltys. They were quite challenging but very entertaining! Overall, I recommend this game to any fan of 3D platformers that are looking for a relaxing and happy-go-lucky experience :)

Very satisfying platforming, fun level mechanics and aesthetics, with speedrunning challenges and collectibles to grab as well for added replayability. Small pain points with things like boxes not breaking or some camera oddness, but the experience is still a lot of fun regardless!

Well, this was a pleasant surprise. Mail Mole is an odd 3d platformer with no enemies besides the occasional boss fight and a timer. And occasionally races against doppelgangers, which are easy to beat as they don't take obvious shortcuts. I'm only up to world 4 of what seems like 8, been having fun with it, with a few caveats. The music works hard to disguise its loops, but it will become obvious that it's the same song when going for time trials or hunting for the secret fruit things. The…

I was surprised, it is truly a wonderful game! I think the adjective CHARMY es the best description! I'm not a 3D platform player but it's easy to start collecting carrots, the movements and controls are smooth (with the controller, but keyboard is supported, too). The performance it's fine and all the details are important. It's a MUST indie game for the entire family <3

Awesome 3D platformer that's also very, very charming. In the game you play as Molty, a Mail Mole (shocking given the title, I know!) that has to deliver letters to get the power back on Carrotland. The story is simple, but like in the old 3D platformers, it's an excuse to go from world to world, and everything is quite charming in the process, so that's a plus! The game controls a bit differently than other platformers, since you must charge the jump by holding the jump button. This is used…

Just a very muddled experience. Some of the models are cartoony and rounded, some are flat shaded and look to be attempting a low-poly look (poorly). The levels have collectables scattered around them, but the game has a strict time limit for golden medals, encouraging you to skip exploration. The game features unlockable cosmetic items, but because you spend the majority of the time underground, you'll never really get to see them. It's like the game is just made up of all these…

It's a cute platformer with an interesting enough gimmick to stand out from the games it tries to emulate (A Hat in Time, Super Mario Galaxy, etc.) The "race" style levels were definitely my favorite and are reminiscent of the tongue surfing from SpongeBob: Battle for Bikini Bottom. Mail Mole himself is really cute, so it's unfortunate that most of the time he's on screen he's underground and not actually readily visible. The inclusion of un-skippable cutscenes and having the game force you…

A fun take on 3D platformers mixing speed and momentum based mechanics into the levels. Starts out simple enough but if you're looking to 100% the game expect a decent challenge. A loose story holds together what is really just an excuse to visit new locales but it serves it purpose. The real meat of the game is going to be collecting the hidden coins and speedrunning the levels. It's perfect playable as a casual platformer/collector game but if you want to try and improve you level times then…

This has been a ride since the developers talked about the game the first time. They've put so much hard work on it and it has payed off tenfold. The game looks amazing and the response of the controls feels real good. The levels are so well designed, they aren't nor too easy nor insanely tricky. Literally nothing bad to say about it. A simple platformer, not extraordinary, not very long, but quite decent overall, even if the difficulty is handled in a rather odd way. The game features 8 different worlds, each with its own theme, music, and some different gameplay elements. There are around sixty levels in total. Mail Mole (9/10) When you play plataformes, you want absolutely top and responsive controls. I played Mail Mole with a gamepad and so far so good. The way you jump is a little different from other platformers and I can see why some people don't like that. But please, don't be too traditional! The characters are cute and it is a charming game, but the fact that you are always underground makes it hard to tell where your hitbox is, and you can get hit with flying projectiles that really look like they should've missed you. On top of that, the jump feels pretty awkward. It's not unplayable, it works just fine, but it just feels awkward. Great visually, but extremely uninteresting platforming mechanics and level design. ------------------------------------------- The base movement speed is way too slow and the sprint button literally only increases your speed by like 20%. Mail Mole may seem like another good-looking 3D Platformer at first glance, but the truth is that its underground movement and charged-jump mechanic provides a very different gameplay experience: instead of jumping higher by pressing longer the button, you have to charge the jump underground and release the button.
