positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recently started playing the game, but I quickly realized it's not really for me. The premise begins with us as a slave to an Amazonian warrior, who has a massive ego. That part is actually fine—I can understand why she's that way, given her lack of experience with the outside world. However, what I can’t wrap my head around is why the game dictates how our character feels and seems to enjoy being in this slave role. After a while, our character and the Amazonian start traveling alone, and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In short: get it on a high-discount sale if you're a big VN fan and like solid characters and can forgive a weak plot and grinding combat. The characters are the strongest point of the game, maybe the ONLY strong point. The story itself is weak and jumps from point to point without any real sense of justification or getting you emotionally involved. When characters speak, they're believable and consistent, and I swear I laugh out loud every time Draco talks (he's definitely my favorite). But…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There might be a decent story here but to be honest the battle system seemed too basic and boring even compared to older mobile RPG battle systems. The game play was much too boring to bear through the story and decision making bits.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Since I bought this game on a different website for a much cheaper price, it's hard to say if this game was worth it or not. However, I have been playing this for 10 hours; So I can answer if this game is good or not. The pros and cons of this game are mixed together. What makes this game good, also makes the game bad. The combat system is unique. Never seen anything like it. It can be fun with the many various spells and skills you can use, but can get rather tedious very quickly. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I saw some reviews saying this is similar to Dragon Age Origins, so I decided to try it out. This is as similar to DA:O as a 5 year old's scribbles would be similar to an engineering thesis. Nothing more than fantasy junk food. You will enjoy it while it lasts, but later question whether you really needed to have it. The answer will most likely be 'not really'. Still giving it a thumbs up because its not a bad game per se. Just meh.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this a lot longer than I thought I would at first glance. The story isn't mind-blowing, but it's decent. The characters are enjoyable and the ending options are great. The RPG/turn based combat isn't bad and at times it could be challenging. There are plenty of semi-unhealthy relationships, but some decent ones. Depending on what you choose to do you may find some characters are deeper than they first present Rei ended up pretty decent! ===[ ❤ Audience: ]=== ☐ Kids ☐ Everyone ☑…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To be honest, I really just need to stop giving Winter Wolves games a try. They always look interesting, but I always end up finding them rather bland, and when I do finish them, like I did this one, they usually leave me feeling like I just wasted a lot of time. For this one, neither the combat aspects or the storyline were what I would consider all that good; characters were very flat, and the interactions between them formulaic. The big bad guy was a generic big bad guy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hey, remember those old-style games we played because little else existed, where you had to repeat literally the exact same battles over and over again to level up, and the presentation was stiff and difficult to get sucked in to? Someone decided to deliberately recreate that. I'm fine with nostalgia, with old-style graphics, with throw-back systems, but you're supposed to dump the bad parts that were forced on us from lack of budget or memory or technology.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I gave this an honest go after seeing Northernlion play it and seeing some posts/comments stating it is one of the best VN's on Steam. I just can't get into it. The story is cliche and derivative with less than stellar writing and player agency impacted by obfuscated dialog options. I don't enjoy the art style, lack of variety, or lack of animations. Sure, the combat system might be good for a VN, but I guess that's the issue, it's only good for a VN, it's not good for a RPG which this attempts…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loren does a great job of mixing turn based combat with a typical visual novel. In fact I would say that out of all of the visual novels I have played where they tried to add in some form of game play Loren did it far better than any other. It was actually well thought out and fun. It’s simple to get used to but has lots of options when you look at the RPG mechanics as well. You have lots of different attacks you can learn for the various characters that will suit a lot of different play…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bland story, bleak skills, unbalanced character abilities, awkward item management, boring combat system - a total failure. I regret NOT giving up on it quickly, because now I cannot refund it. Will not buy anything from the developer again.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfriendly UI, forgettable characters, generic story, unconvincing world-building, lacks immersion In the main game(not the DLC), there are choices you can pick that result in different fights, but they do not affect the story. It would be better it's just one story with all the paths merged. The narrator also gives false foreshadowing. There are very few artworks, the creators tried to add immersion by giving minor changes to facial expression, but since there is no voice acting and the text…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok, so the game is not a total fail. It does several things well, but the negative review is due to several factors that I cannot overlook, which I will explain here. It starts off promising, with customization of stats, distinct NPCs and a nicely stylized art. The story starts off a bit cheesy and cliche, but it does several things well - you are not the main hero but their sidekick, which is immediately nicely refreshing; it boldly tackles the topics of misandry and racism; choices alter the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really liked this game. It's a fantastic mix of visual novel and RPG, and it has a deceptively deep amount of mechanics for the format. It's clear that a hell of a lot of love went into this title. It plays very old school, which is great if you are looking for a wordy adventure with a wealth of deeper mechanics. Combat is fairly straightforward, but very in-depth with many different skills and strategies. The script is very well written and engaging as all heck. You really get a feel for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not sure how to rate this game. I found the story line to be juvenile and somewhat predictable. Though the game allows LGB relationships, somewhat touch on male/female gender bias, along with having female protagonist... at time I get a sense this game perpetuate these bias instead of the other way around. It's almost like they let LGB relationships and choose female protagonist for the sake of expanding their audience while also insert insult along the way. In the other hand it seems like…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was not expecting to love this game as much as I do, I thought it'd be a fun little rpg game to kill time, but I was pleasantly surprised with an invigorating plotline and relateable charcters. The romances and different options allow for replyability without getting bored. This is a game I defintely recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Eh... The romance stuff didn't do anything for me. The art style is pretty good. The RPG elements are satisfying, and the writing is... ok. I don't know.. It's a hard one to recommend. There's a ton of skill put into the game, a lot of moments that are very good, but those are mostly hidden away from moments that are more lackluster in nature. Still, I think it does more good than bad - so it's worth it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Utterly *amazing* and fully-fledged CRPG. Make no mistakes, this is a REAL CRPG! It has all the fixins', all the stats, resistances, elements of magic, combat, LOOT, leveling-up, choices & CONSEQUENCES (!!) & SO much more. On top of it all it has a prominent and killer, and I mean killer story and lore. Exquisitely done all around - 10/10. Hope you enjoy!! :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun combat based mainly on Initiative, stamina management and elemental resistances/damages. The light character progression and itemization help shape up your party. While you battle with a maximum of six units, your full roster is put to use on some occasions and i really enjoyed that. The story offers a few enjoyable twists and some decisions do change your party composition and the ending.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The writing is amature, as well as immature; neither are good traits for a visual novel to have, not even long-winded smut visual novels like this one. Refunded.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels like a dollar store Dragon Age: Origins if they made it into a visual novel. If that sounds interesting to you I recommend it for ~$5. $20 is a bit steep for a game with no animation other than subtle facial changes and blinking. I don't recommend this game to rpg players or achievement hunters unless you really dig visual novels and dating sims. Combat is a very archaic/bland turn-base and "normal" is pretty difficult but there are tons of characters to unlock and each of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is mechanically clunky and definitely look rough around the edges, but it has a surprising amount of content and depth to it. Especially with the DLC, the number on paths you can take in the story, including romance options, is massive and for the most part, the quality of the writing and the world it builds is very satisfying. It’s clear that devs were very serious about world-building and making a mature story, with some serious impact to your choices and life-and-death situations…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A story that feels like a D&D campaign as told by an above-average GM. A solidly constructed, if not horribly original, turn-based combat system. A large party with plenty of character customization options. Romance and dialogue choices that are sort of Bioware-lite. A story where choices matter, set in a pretty stereotypical fantasy realm. Put it all together, and you have a very enjoyable game. Not one of the great RPGs, by any means, but if you really like story-driven RPGs (as I do),…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For me the deverloper WInter Wolves is mostly known for it's Heileen series that were okayish VN games but nothing special to really remember in the longer run. Now this game is also a VN game and feels familiar right of the bat compared to these earlier games but expanded and fleshed out to a proper RPG and wow what a game it is! First of all the idea of player character not being the 'main hero'... now how many games does that? Gives unique viewpoint to the story as the player is a lowly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this week I have discounted on Steam two of my most popular VN/RPG, Loren the Amazon Princess and Cursed Lands. If you're not familiar with my world, you should try Cursed Lands first since it's Loren's prequel. Plus, it has sexy nagas romance! 😱 store.steampowered.com/app/758320/C...
unlabelledView post →I can clearly see the passion and ambition that went into making this. Loren the Amazon Princess feels like what Dragon Age might have been like if it were made in the mid-90s. There is a fairly large cast of party members to whom you can speak with at your camp. The characters are pretty well written - they have different backgrounds, different morals, and it is interesting to see the characters conflict with each other. The characters' faces are very expressive. The character art is pretty…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to say I hate this game. I really do. There is so much about it that makes me cringe. You've got forced dialogue options. You'll be given the opportunity to be forceful, for example, and when you do choose it, your character immediately follows it up by back peddling, apologizing, and becoming meek and submissive. Character names and concepts are so stupidly tropish they are also cringe worthy. Yes Draco, the flamboyant failure of a burn wizard, I am talking about you. And then I look…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I finished the game, but unfortunately cannot recommend. Although the story and options at the start seemed to lead you into an interesting adventure, I found the story overall very lackluster and this was not saved by the gameplay for me. Also there is romance (which I like in games), but it is cut very short.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All right, I'll say it. Loren the Amazon Princess is my game. I've been thinking for so many years that I was "just" the writer, but I poured so much work into it. I was handed a story outline, char PSDs and romance CGs and I had to just make it work, then I did PR.
unlabelledView post →It is a fun game, but it has it's issues. My main problems with the game: - playing as a slave. Yes, I know it serves as a character progression point for Loren, but it's still weird. Especially how loyal MC is. Slave from the birth/childhood, no freedom in anything, treated worse than an animal - still unquestionably loyal to the their slavers. And it's not like Loren treats them kindly in the beginning, yet MC is ready to die for her already. - everyone is bigoted against everyone.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is basically a turn-based RPG and a visual novel combined. It has sweet characters that have more depth than a puddle and are all likable. The story is classic fantasy stuff and fairly predictable but it's world is charming. The Amazons are a unique culture of people and explores sexism. (Against men) You can choose the protagonist you play as, (male human or female elf) and there are tons of characters to smooch. (And yes you don't have to be straight) The music is great. The visuals…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game +++
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1. The history is bland and weak, I'm still ate the beginning and A LOT could be more polished; 2. The allies are shoehorned into the party; 3. The female MC has some severe inconssitencies (she's a gullible assassin, like WTF); 4. Would be good to change your subclass, YOU are not the hero; 5. Joking, Friendly and Fierce does NOT tell me ♥♥♥♥ on what I want the MC to say; 6. The game was planned with DLC characters in mind too. BUT, it's good... kinda
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →(Another backlog review, since I played this one at least two years ago, so my memories are vague.) Fairly solid but somewhat short (10-14 hours, but with alternate paths for replay value if you like that) RPG focusing on interacting with (and/or dating) a cast of memorable characters who join your party. Fairly good combat system as well, dragged down slightly by relatively extreme differences in combat effectiveness between your potential party members - any party without Loren, Draco, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was kind of enjoying the game, without it being anything more then somewhat entertaining. Until it forced me to get in a fight solo with my main character which is a healer against a warrior that does so much damage that the only option I had was to heal or die, that is until i ran out of mana and the only option left was to die. You have to get past that fight to move on with the main story and since there is NO way to win it. I'm left grinding doing super generic fight until my healer is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What is it? Loren the Amazon Princess is a epic fantasy visual novel action RPG with resource management, relationship building, plenty of combat, character customisation and development. What was good? I absolutely loved this game even though I'm not a big fan of visual novels. I loved the story, the characters, the combat, the artwork, the setting, the mechanics and pretty much every aspect of this game. What could be improved? Personally, I would have liked a skip button for dialogue…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommend this game. There is combat, plot, pretty art, a lot of romance options, a protagonist of choice out of two. I enjoyed the gameplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was my gateway drug into VN style games, though part of why this hooked me is because it's not a pure VN and has a robust rpg system. Plot and characters also hooked me in quite nicely, was fun playing the protagonist chosen one's sidekick.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great! I haven't played many visual novels, but after the strong recommendation of a friend I gave Loren a try. It's been more fun than I expected, I've gifted it to a couple friends hoping they enjoy it, too. The blending of RPG and visual novel is really well done, and the pacing is such that you can decide how much you want to do and when. In fact, this is one of the things I like about it the most--once you get rolling, you can take it in bite-sized pieces, or sit down for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →loved the story line and the characters. Game play was what I wanted. I liked the uncensored version not that it was overly revealing. I see a new version of this game is out and I'll be playing it when I finish this one
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ren'Py you utter piece of trash... Ruining my Ending Achievements on what was otherwise a pretty decent game... and I do mean Decent. However, since the Built-In Cheat Mode only skips story battles and gives potentially infinite gold, and doesn't, say... level your characters so you can actually experiment in second and thirds playthroughs, I wouldn't really say it's worth it to play again. For a fun 9-ish hour distraction it wasn't too bad... but there's better out there. Also, whoever wrote…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having played Cursed lands before this made me appreciate seeing past characters in this like the Wizard. For context i played as Elenor. I really disliked Loren at first and how her culture treated men but seeing her evolve throughout the game and how my choices affected what she did at the end made me like her as and how she grew as a better character. she was sheltered from childhood and only fed what her culture taught her so. i really love Amukiki<3 he was called and tough on outside but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Winter Wolves RPG. Actually, I think this might be the most well-known of their products. Anyway, you play as a slave. Doesn’t sound appealing? Well, Princess Loren wants to search for her mother, but leaving the Amazon Citadel means that she cannot use any of its resources, by tradition. However, they offer the use of one slave to accompany her. Quite possibly the best slave they have. Character creation begins with choosing whether to be the male or female PC, then warrior or thief, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hello Steam user who is wondering if this amazing visual novel is worth their time. I tell you right now that it absolutely is and to be frank here, I consider Loren: The Amazon Princess as Winter Wolves magnum opus (And apparently they do to considering how many spinoffs/prequels they've tried and sort of succeeded in producing but that's not a topic for this particular review). Anyway after going two months straight reviewing crap I decided to review an old classic that I dearly beloved…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loren, The Amazon Princess From Cursed Lands is all grown up and is VERY Beautiful and has No Idea about the real world. She would Fight Anyone who crossed her But Elenor Calms her down EVERY time,, Thats who I played as. You can play as a Human Male or an Elf Female.. You get hate from the Humans at the start as an elf and you probably get the same on the other character from Elves. A Wonderful game.. Humour, battles or even No Battles.. Meet the Vampires that helped you in the 1st game,,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why did I buy this?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a game that seems to want to bank on anime style boob art where even the male characters wear midriff exposing plate armor and that features a character named "Queen Karen," this turned out to be surprisingly good. The combat is as good as any of the card game style conversions that are all over Steam right now, and this one actually has interesting characters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The concept is cool but good god is it stupid the character designs are just down right terrible the story is stupid and the character you have to play as is down right boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a boring rpg the main character only can choose between warrior or rogue i wish we could choose mage because loren is already a warrior and thief is boring and weak and gets outclassed by mage aoe fast
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DEFINATELY AN ALL CONSUMING GAME OF AMAZONIAN GLORY. Full of romance, strategy and intrigue!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Story: So far quite boring and bland. Doesn't really grip me. Forced myself to play this far. Characters: Oh my. More stereotypes could NOT exist. Sexy Amazon princess, "wise" slave girl/boy, old wizard, snarky dwarf rogue, aggressive dwarf, smooth wizard, sworn protector, seductive succubus, wily goblin and a cliché demon lord. Meh. Ok, but nothing to write home about or be proud of to be honest. Gameplay: This is my biggest gripe. Actions happen so fast that you can barely decipher what the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loren is an entertaining little game. Compared to most RPGs, it plays quickly, which is to its advantage since the combat is bland. On the positive side, however, there are very few pointless fights with underlings. You usually can face the boss in 1-2 battles, moving on to the next part of the story. The tale is written well enough, with a high level of replayablity. The player character will have different reactions based on being male and human or female and elf, obviously, but will also…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, I'm not sure I'll every find a visual novel RPG game I enjoy. This one was as tedious and repetitive as the rest.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's been a while since I played VNs but I hear good things about Date Everything and Slay the Princess. I like the Fate series (e.g. Fate Stay Night), Hakuoki, and Wolf Among Us. Older, lesser known indie game that could be of interest: Loren the Amazon Princess.

The battle system is nice and the Dating is simple enough so that I was able to collect all the available lovers without having to look for a walkthrough first. Also the first Dating Sim where I did not end up Single in the first play-through. I like ^^
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is quite a fun visual novel, it has a lot of interesting characters and is a reasonable RPG for a small team developer.. The romance paths are all interesting and you can probably do a few playthroughs to try the different romance options. The RPG battle elements are good for a visual novel, lots of different character combinations and skills to experiment with. I went through on hardest difficulty and found it about right. music and sound are decent.
