Note that you can change mouse sensitivity in the settings - the default was completely unplayable for me. My experience with the game varied depending on which stage I was playing, partially because some of the early levels lacked in variety, and the soundtrack was hit-and-miss. When you get toward the second half, the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I presume the addition of coop to an already enjoyable formula is only for the improvement of the experience since it's an optional one at that. Get javelinin'!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would call my aim cancer but cancer would actually kill somebody so I'm just going to call it bad.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ENG: We throw spears against waves of enemies, simple gameplay, with abilities upgrades and stuff, it has cooperative via remote-play and above all a very german aesthetic, buy it now or go home to eat Strudel. ESP: Tiramos lanzas a oleadas de enemigos, simple, con algunas mejoras de habilidades y esas cosas, tiene cooperativo vía remote-play y sobretodo una estética muy alemana, cómpralo o ándate a tu casa a comer Strudel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: -Funny neon style -Good comical german voice -Throwing laser spears -Decapitating monsters to rack up combo meter Cons: -Too repetitive -Lacks any coherent story to get me interested -Gamepad controls were glitched; had to use mouse -Music is kinda lame and also repetitive -Better things to spend your time on Conclusion : It's ok I guess.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lichtspeer has something but the ludicrous neon-Viking setting with pseudo-Germanisms is only fun for a short while. It plays like a flash game centered around a single mechanic turned up to eleven. The game is well made but lacks polish and there is not much off it. The trailer reveals nearly everything the game has to offer. Overall, I don't think this is a total failure, the rage quite difficulty padding cannot keep me engaged. 2.5/5

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a very very good flash game. It's fun for couple of hours and has interesting playstyle but the at the core , its a spear throw mechanic that should be a part of a bigger game . Its not bad its just not a full fledged game. Still if you have couple of hours that you'd like to throw on something new try it out. Personally I'd rather some 15-20 hours worth games with story rather than a short mini game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →seemed interesting at the start, but the gameplay became really repetitive really quick.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lichtspeer is a solid arcade like game where you throw spears at enemies coming to your direction. You’re not allowed to move but you can use three skills that need time to recharge for use again. You can upgrade these skills or buy new ones with the currency you earn from performing well. Performance is improved through factors like headshots and speed. There are 13 levels, 2 difficulty modes, new game plus and 2 characters to pick from. Each level usually has 5 waves with some of them ending…

The gameplay is simple, yet sehr entertaining (a "bit" pain in the arsch later on), I like these kinda games. And the humor, the visuals, the whole design throw it on a whole new level of awesomeness. I absolutely LOVE it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not great, not terrible.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I ... like this game which kind of surprised me since I didn't like it at first. It is relatively simple, yet as the game goes on offers a good challenge and has some fun upgrades. This is a good game when you only have a few minutes to play because you can make progress both in terms of levels beaten and earning money for upgrades.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR: Simple fast-paced physics-based arcade set up in crazy Nordic universe. Not too much to add to this TL;DR, honestly. The game is very simple, to a point of being too repetitive sometimes. Lacks polish here and there -- don't get me started on controls on serpent boss level; if you're using not native resolution, you won't be able to complete the level, as rotating and pulling spear up is nearly impossible. All in all, it's absolutely worth the asking price, especially in co-op mode.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →funny little game about throwing laser spears
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very simple gameplay but surprisingly fun when you manage to finish a level
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great, difficult game and really fun in co-op. Really satisfying throwing spears through everything, especially when you get the hang of it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this a lot on XBOX and there's not much of a change for the PC edition. The trailer does a good job of showing you exactly what you'll be playing. You aim and shoot while using up to 3 special powers. The levels have a graphical change after every 3rd level or so, but there isn't much of a change in level design other than that. The music is fun, and the graphics are good. It's enjoyable solo, but you'll have far more fun playing this with a friend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very good game where you throw speers german style towards waves of giants and zombies and warlocks too some warlocks have a shield which gives you a fun challenge
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Stunning Track & Field like cosmic WTF did I just play game. HIGHLY recommended, you must get this
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lichtspeer: Double Speer Edition is a fiercely stylized arcade action game that revels in excess, absurdity, and mechanical purity. Developed by Lichthund and published by Crunching Koalas alongside the original creators, it delivers an experience that is intentionally loud, strange, and uncompromising. The game drops players into a surreal “ancient Germanic future,” a world where mythology, science fiction, and parody collide, and where a capricious god hands you a glowing spear of light and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun game but badly optimised, multiplayer is the most interesting part for me but trying to use other mechanics than the speer is not working properly. Weird animation prompts and the cooldown timer starts without anything happening which makes this game very frustrating...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very cool game and premise that ultimately fails to actually be enjoyable. It starts out fun and interesting, but very quickly devolves into horrid boss design with buggy hitboxes and no indicators of weak points in the later bosses. This becomes especially obnoxious as later bosses have multiple phases that don't save progress, and take many many hits to actually go down. Be prepared to spend 20+ minutes redoing bosses and levels that you can easily beat just to have an attempt at a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game to kill a few minutes
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For the first hour it was quite fun. After that it just gets worse and worse, starting to feel like a chore. It may look decent but the core gameplay is poorly executed. It honestly feels like it was made by 9-year-old Timmy. The more you play, the more you notice the low quality. I finished my playthrough just for the sake of seeing the end credits, but I know I’m never coming back to this game. It's bad!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →challenging but not tediously so. awesome technicolour neon-spear-throwing madness. know that you'll die. a lot. know that itll be worth it. this game deserves more attention than its getting and i've only played for twenty minutes so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a fun 2d spear throwing game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun for coop. Worth the price!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While it starts off as a fun flash-game style silly start and goes about as far as it can with it's mechanics about halfway through the game the boss fights become tedious rather than fun. The "difficulty" is purely in knowing when the devs have decided you can damage the boss, or perfectly parrying every shot they do. Once it reaches this point it starts adding "be perfect or die" attacks from the environment that feel less like they're testing my skill and more like they're doing their…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I saw this game for the first time I wondered: "How long will it take for this mechanic to get obnoxious?". Well, about half the time it takes to beat this game. The controls for this game simply don't work with a mouse. Between your character unpredictably rotating from one side to another, getting misses when you clearly killed the opponent, pointer changing its position after getting stunned from missing 3 times in a row and the "variety" that's added from one stage to another, it all…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Based on the trailers amd images the game seems like it may be fun. However, really unfortunate that the game just does not function properly. I am unable to aim using the left joystick. The left stick just does not function neither on my wireless xbox elite controller nor on the Steam deck. Also, this issue has been brought up on the discussion forum by other playsers, but no fix has been implemented.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →aH yves, dis game iz koool, with tha shooting of spears, and the little hond too, co-op playing is the title champion fun, and not too bothersome into my responsibility hours, a little here a little there, and sometimes, mega focus villain spear pain!, dis game is great! yes?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The crew behind the game is cool (watched "We are alright" today and liked it to the point of buying this game). The game itself isn't bad and sometimes even good - definitely worth of money spent.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A rather simple game. You stand around and shoot spears at enemies. The art style and sound is alright and there isnt really a story outside a silly concept about retro futuristic 70s Germans fighting some weird alien Gods. Now the main thing to keep you here is the gameplay. Some people complain that its too simple, but it generally works. You have a host of enemies with different attributes that you need to overcome and the way they come at you forces you to think how to tackle them. It…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd say this is as bad as the original Lichtspeer, but it's arguably worse. Putting out an updated game without fixing any of the issues? No bueno.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game it was fun as hell.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun game to pass the time with. Kinda strange it doesn't have a bigger following. It's difficult, kinda like Dark Souls-ish. Honestly though it's a little frustrating at times to fight the bosses because sometimes the mechanics is not very clear and you have to spend quite a lot time figuring out what is happening.
