It has a well-designed "purchase" system, and by adding the actions of returns and the "help me" feature, it makes everything a bit more chaotic and less monotonous than usual for the genre. It also seems like a lot of fun to play with friends over Discord or even a LAN
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a librarian. I don't remember coming across many videogames about libraries or being a librarian. Libritopia really caught my intetest. I tried this on an early-access-version. This game presents very well the spirit of being a librarian. Yes, you do acquire more and more book to the collection and put them on shelves, checkout and return books and help customers with their questions. Also yes, sometimes there come crazily busy days and you need to prioritize task. But it's also rewarding…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually like this game, and had a fun time with it, but it has one major flaw that leads me to leave a negative review. I will change it to positive if they ever alleviate the issue. I find it more engaging than most of the simulator games out there, and the gameplay is fine. The major issue is that once you "lose" your entire save is gone. Instead of actually building a library and having it grow as you play, it is all gone. There is no real reason to ever play this game again past your…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even though it's still in Early Access, I had no issues playing it on my Steam Deck, which is very impressive! This is probably going to be my go-to game on this device! No adjustments were needed; all buttons were mapped automatically at startup. The game is running smoothly with no hiccups whatsoever. I'm almost finishing day one and I can see myself sinking countless hours maxing out my library. I wonder how many books I can actually stack. Can’t wait to find out! 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Found this one on Discovery Queue and seemed like an interesting and fun co-op sim to me. Sadly, I'm really missing a real management aspect in the game. You don't earn any money and therefore can't really decide on which furniture to buy or which books to order. I'd love to be able to decide for myself right from the start which shelves I wanna use instead of being given level-up rewards with some choices from Day 3 onwards. It feels like you don't manage and control things yourself. Some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I believe that this game has so much potential! Currently it needs a bit of love when it comes to optimization! But being able to help customers, sort books, I have played about 3 hours and it was perfect! cozy and lovely! I can't wait to see the future of this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We finally have a game about being a librarian and managing bookshelves—and it’s actually really fun! There are so few games in this theme, so LIBRITOPIA already wins points for existing. 😊 I’d love to see even more cozy or creative book-themed games like this on Steam! The devs clearly care about the project—since I got it (thanks to my friend who gifted it to me <3), there’ve been at least 4 solid updates. It’s really encouraging to see how active the development is. The gameplay loop is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a librarian you'd think the last think I'd want to do is play a game about work. You'd be wrong. Now I have all the power. I can organize the books however I want and there's nothing any of you can do about it. Melvil Dewey can stare up from Hell as he watches me destroy his prescious decimal system.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game only going to day 15 then wiping every thing away so you have to start again is really disappointing as i was loving the game, until this changes i would not recommend this game i am sorry to say !!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game as a gift from my BF as I am actually studying to BE a Librarian. This game is wonderful, I've had a lot of fun so far, however, there are also some concerns I've had since getting further and further into the game... 1. I dislike how you either play till you lose, or till day 15... Those are the two modes I am offered and honestly, that's just stressful to me being restricted with how long i can enjoy the same save for?? I have not made it to day 15, but if you can go after,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the game, only downside is the time of day is going way too fast, please slow this down
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to love this game but unfortunately i just didn't. I couldn't even complete a full day without it completely freezing and closing the game. This tended to mostly happen when i interacted with the computer to either checkout or return books. I tried many different times and in the end just had to get the game refunded.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In Libritopia, players take on the role of a librarian tasked with curating and organizing the greatest classics of world literature, offering an exciting opportunity to interact with timeless works from authors like Shakespeare, Flaubert, Jules Verne, and Machado de Assis. The game allows you to receive, sort, and arrange these iconic books in any way you see fit, providing a highly customizable experience for those who enjoy managing and building their ideal library. Customization is a key…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Over all, I loved the concept of this game. I played the full 'demo' and I found I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Just writing some points to help with development. - Auto counters seem to take a long time to process books. - Could there be a handheld tablet for looking up books for customers etc?, instead of having to run back to the PC. - Deleting items that you no long need would be useful. - Love organising the space with furniture and stocking shelves. Maybe accessorises…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really love games where you can sort and organize things in your own way, in a way that feels logical and satisfying to you. I also love books so this game has been a lot of fun for me so far! I do have to admit though, that the art style doesn’t appeal to me that much. In my opinion, this doesn’t affect the gameplay itself, but of course that’s a matter of personal taste. I'm also not too fond of the sound design, but I usually listen to my own music, podcasts, or movies in the background…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A charming and relaxing sim that’s more addictive than you'd expect! https://youtu.be/Ug4Q_O8yFBs 📚 LIBRITOPIA captures the peaceful joy of organizing books, helping patrons, and slowly upgrading your cozy library. The gameplay is easy to pick up but surprisingly satisfying, especially once you unlock new shelves and decor. It’s perfect for fans of chill management games who love that “everything in its place” feeling. Highly recommend for a wholesome, low-stress experience!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →#MalaHype #Streaming #Libritopia This game feels right up my alley; an indie librarian simulator! I know almost nothing about it, besides that the game is still in alpha with many updates to come. store.steampowered.com/app/3372420/... Gaming | Mic [On] | Audio [On] picarto.tv/Malachyte

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wishlisted this game because I was curious about the concept and bought it because it was for sale. I haven't put more hours into it because I have a job. It's very fun to play. Obviously, it has not nearly enough mechanics to keep play for too much longer, but the potential is there. In case you are still updating it and taking suggestions, it would be interesting to see some different cover layouts (to complicate devolution mechanic), I guess you're probably working on an economic system…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is absolutely amazing Super Addictive! i love almost everything about it ! if i had to give some feedback though.. i would say maybe have a trade in or sell shop for the items you receive when leveling up like i have like 6 reading tables and 4 check outs that i dont need and would LOVE to be able to trade them in for shelfs i would actually use! plus i think there should be a bit more storage in your office/back room. and maybe some weather besides that addicting and love it !!! 9/10…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At the time of writing this I have played about 16 hours (Around day 33 in relax mode). While I have enjoyed the experience up until now and think I have definitely got my money's worth, I am not sure how much longer I will play without updates. My game preference is relax mode, but it has just become too repetitive. I think because the game was initially written as a challenge mode, the relax mode has not been thought through. At Day 34, I have books all over the floor that I have no place…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has a lot of promise but I can't recommend it in the early stage. I will be coming back at a later date hoping they have added more player choice and interactivity. Hopefully by then the game will have more features to convince my friends to play something longer-term with me in the game. The game has a solid enough gameplay loop but the issue is that the game front-loads the management. You will receive fixed parts/shelving per level, you cannot buy more, cannot redesign a large amount of it,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really fun experience. SPECIALLY if you play it online with friends. The fact that you get to see dozens of real life literary works is super cool - you will be saying stuff like "omg I read this one already!" every five minutes. Excited to see future updates!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far I have really enjoyed this game. I have not played the survivor mode yet, but was disappointed to find that the slower mode ends at day 15. Hopefully this is extended in a future update. I like the slower mode because half the fun for me is getting to reorganize my library and fuss with my books. I watch Kanz play the endless mode on stream and only having 7 minutes to fuss the with library doesn't seem as much fun. That being said I am going to try the endless mode, and I am also…

Libritopia: Librarian Simulator sees you playing as a librarian! It's in Early Access and Bex has written up a preview! www.gamegrin.com/previews/lib...
unlabelledView post →This has great potential. Speaking as a public librarian, I am eager to see how this game grows and adapts to better represent the typical library experience. As of now, it's fairly bare bones and feels repetitive relatively quickly. If you're apprehensive about the price, I encourage wish-listing and keeping an eye on future development. One point I'd highly encourage is build in character customization ASAP. Simply being able to alter your playable character to reflect your unique vibe…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fantastic game to get lost into, simple but good. Really enjoyed the score mode hoping theres more to levels
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’ve started to get bored of simulator games but I’m loving this so far!! I think it’s definitely worth the price. I haven’t played the harder difficulty yet but i’m really enjoying the slower mode. I came across a small bug(?) where there was an empty shelf but I couldn’t place a book there. I also hope there will be a way to get rid of objects such as the non automatic check out desk. Loved this so far though will definitely be playing more! :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a huge book lover so I love reading as a hobby. I always loved spending in the public library most of times before Kindle became a thing. Something about libraries feel so cozy and I could stay in the chair all day reading whatever book that caught my eye. I have played this game ever since its release which was just few days ago. It is still in early access so I can see I cannot go far. I expanded my library only twice and I saw that I cannot expand further until later updates. I love it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After falling in love with Tiny Bookshop, I decided to google if there were any other bookshop adjacent games. I found this, and honestly I love it. It seems to have everything you'd see in a real life library, including very dumb patrons. For instance, there is a registration station, in which your patrons can fill out info to get their library cards, and it’s mostly automatic although occasionally filling out name, today's date and getting their picture taken is just beyond their…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeaaaa, this game is gonna be a problem for me considering I have already sunk 6 hours without stopping. As someone that is a former library aide and in college for my MLIS, this game is a little too up my alley lololol. It certainly isn't perfect; I do have one or two issues with it, but for an early access of the game this is pretty solid. So very excited to see what is to come in its future. And I'm already recommending it to all of my library friends.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I know the thought of running a library doesn't fill many people with joy, but I'm a weirdo, so this suits me down to the ground. It's a slow, relaxed game about ordering books, putting books on shelves, tidying books, repairing books and answering requests for books. In other words, this is a game that revolves around books. I like books and I like putting things in order. I can spend ages arranging what goes where and what order everything should be in. Order by name, by title, or by…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have been playing this game so much. It's such a good game to be playing on the side if you're doing something else as well. Sorting books, placing books, finding books. Very addicting
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly addictive. Relax mode is a great way to unwind.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a huge fan of simulator games, and in Libritopia you run a library! I do like that there are 3 different modes you can play, but Survival Mode is too stressful because if you get 3 dissatisfied customers, you lose the game. In Score Mode, the game ends after 15 days. In comparison, Relax Mode is endless, and you do not have to worry about satisfaction. I do like that you can place furniture in the library and organize the books however you want. That said, the gameplay is quite repetitive.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Immediately among my friends in the librarian community this game made several sales just via word of mouth. It is a really, really good time. Character customization, decorating your library, shhh-ing loud NPCs. Survival mode has excellent pacing in solo player. It starts out easy enough and escalates with experience and unlocks just like something like that should. Relaxed mode? Chill af. Being able to just sit and reorganize before starting the day is so nice. It is mildly jarring the way…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One part customer rush, one part organizer, Libritopia combines the frantic co-op fun of something like Overcooked with free form organization to create a deeply satisfying, if basic, job simulator. While everything is quite basic (screenshots do indeed do this game justice), everything that is here is adequately implemented and tuned. Still needs optimization, as later game libraries start to hitch pretty bad during busy times. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've basically only been playing the endless mode and I'm almost out of space for books, which is sad. Not sure what I'll do once I no longer have any room for books. It's a good simulator game, there aren't a ton of decorative or shelving options, and the system for obtaining new shelves is unique due to the game not having a currency, which meant starting out I didn't have enough shelves to organise the books I had the way I wanted, but that didn't last long. Things that could be…

But the Late Returning Damaged Books and Library Cards update has me hooked, you've got elements of Papers Please! or Contraband Police with matching the library card and issue/return information, damaged or not, which is another really nice interactivity feature. As a library assistant, I'm a big fan of what this game has to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun to manage and expand your own library. Got a lot of really great classics on the shelves! Can either choose a relax mode and do things at your own pace or a more challenging mode.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't wait to play this more! I played for a bit and had issues with the book return. The author, genre, and title boxes kept moving around making it unavailble to select and return the book. Great game so far though! That's the only issue I have encountered so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is with great pleasure that I extend my thoughts on this exquisite library simulator. What initially appears as a humble endeavor to organize books and tend to patrons reveals itself to be a richly layered and masterfully crafted experience. The attention to detail is nothing short of remarkable. From the nuanced interactions with a diverse array of patrons to the dynamic and oft-unpredictable events, one finds oneself thoroughly engrossed in the delicate art of library management. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has some problems, imo. Between the slow walking and the only holding one book (unless I'm doing it wrong) it's a slow and frustrating start. Why do the checkout and the return programs need to close on the pc's on the checkout and return desks? I'll continue playing it with decent updates but for now I've seen enough. Also the timer to open or finish is a little frustrating, one or the other I could understand so you could use one of them to finish up tasks/clean up or organisation.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm glad I decided to check the game again. Really loved the idea of managing a library, but in the beginning, there wasn't a Relaxed version, and I'm awful with names in general - book names included, so naturally it was more stress than fun, because it was too chaotic for my liking. Now, after 11+ hours of playing the Relaxed version of it, I can say that I love it. I didn't encounter any problems with the game other than customers getting stuck near some objects - such as flower pots, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cute game. Would recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I will admit as fun as playing this game was, having it crash on me drew the line. Otherwise it was worth the money and playing it. I love how you can play as a librarian and it worked wonders for my neurodivergent brain. Great game, but you might have some unexpected crashes here or there.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute little library simulator. Very fast paced though. Did struggle to keep up. Lots of cool features in the game. Product recieved for free!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. A little addictive
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game for those who like organization and satisfying game play, all the sounds are lovely and this is a one of a kind game, you can't find many others like it. The only thing I would recommend is adding a scanner to check in/check out books where you have to put a bar code on them when they arrive. Also maybe add to where you can start selling library cards and maybe add where they can buy the books.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🌟 STREAM ENDED 🌟 Otsu for Libritopia, had my fun in becoming a librarian. 📖 The game is fine, pace is acceptable, tho it's better to play it in co-op rather than solo as the task can be overwhelming. Shout out to Aiyra and Little Giants for sponsoring us with the game key

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love books and libraries so I was very excited to try this game! It has an easy tutorial, and everything is easy to understand. It's very calming and relaxing to play. I like the new Relax mode to relax and not feel pressured.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've got a fairly low bar for job-sim games when the mood takes me, but this just seems like an incoherent mess. There's little to no gameplay, each mechanic seems completely incoherent (why do I have to use a database for checkouts but play clicker on returns?), the sound engineering is all over the place (I had to stop after the 'idiot' noises at the helpdesk) and it's just not fun in any way, shape or form, with books being practically interchangeable and just a widget to pass from person…

unlabelledView post →To be honest, simulation games are not my favorites. However, I decided to give it a chance. The game really lives up to the screenshots/trailers, do what it promises, it runs well on Steam Deck (typing requires you to open the screen keyboard manually pressing Steam+X) and it is really easy to understand the mechanics. The only problem, for me, is to feel like I'm working when I'm playing a video game; I feel like this problem is especially present in this game, though experience it with the…
