In real life you are allowed to arrest someone when they commit a crime especially when he tells you exactly when and where he will be committing it! It can’t be easier honestly!

unlabelledView post →I mean, it’s an above-average action movie but “scam callers” are the best movie villains since Lethal Weapon 2 took on apartheid-era South Africans
unlabelledView post →Now (re)watching: LETHAL WEAPON 2 (1989) #filmsky
unlabelledView post →watching Lethal Weapon 2 and you could NOT make this movie today (anti-aparteid, insensitive to south africans)
unlabelledView post →Shoutout to Lethal Weapon 2 for being an explicitly anti-Apartheid movie by the way (the regime was on its last legs by late 1989, so we can’t credit the movie with the end of Apartheid but the film depicted them as The Bad Guys with no quarter given)
unlabelledView post →The party that wants to stop the flow of immigrants into this country sure seems to have no problem with a white South African immigrant billionaire imposing his will on our government and telling us how to run our agencies. I liked this movie better when it was called Lethal Weapon 2.
unlabelledView post →Honestly, it’s the best new choice for action movie villains since Lethal Weapon 2 targeted apartheid era South Africans
unlabelledView post →Best choice for action film villains since Lethal Weapon 2 targeted white South African politicians
unlabelledView post →Watched LETHAL WEAPON 2 last night for a thing. How mad would Elon be at the end of that movie? “But he had diplomatic immunity!”
unlabelledView post →He appeared in more than 130 film/TV roles. His glistening career includes an onstage stint alongside stars like Dame Maggie Smith, Dame Judi Dench & Tom Courtenay He also appeared with Alec Guinness in TV serial Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy & films The Sicilian, Lethal Weapon 2 & Hunt for Red October

unlabelledView post →I recently rewatched Lethal Weapon 2 and had the same thought. The villains are racist South African diplomats and the movie has several explicitly anti-apartheid bits. If it was released today the right would probably call it “woke DEI.”
unlabelledView post →He's literally working with a guy who's a Nazi's kid in the comics and is portrayed as an *Afrikaner arms dealer* in the movie! I have seen Lethal Weapon 2 I know what that means! (only kinda tongue in cheek there)

unlabelledView post →LETHAL WEAPON 2. Wild movie. Wants you to buy a cop played by Mel Gibson hates white supremacists, nobody involved knows how diplomatic immunity works, a scene with an exploding toilet is a surprisingly touching moment of friendship and loyalty and guy gets decapitated by a surfboard.

unlabelledView post →I am not really subject to nostalgia in almost any case, especially when a fun but terrible movie is involved. That said, LETHAL WEAPON 2 is my favorite movie whenever I am watching it.
unlabelledView post →‘Lethal Weapon 2’ must have been on TV again because that’s more or less the plot of that film.
unlabelledView post →On this night (8th September) in 1990, the Scala Cinema was showing Lethal Weapon (1987), Tango & Cash (1989), Lethal Weapon 2 (1989) and Deadly Pursuit (1988) as ‘Fair Cop’ All-nighter.
unlabelledView post →Thinking about movie franchises in which the sequels were the only movies I saw in the theater. In some cases, before seeing the originals. ALIEN 3 LETHAL WEAPON 2 GREMLINS 2 INDIANA JONES AND THE KNGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL THE TWO TOWERS and RETURN OF THE KING STAR TREK II, IV, V, and VI
unlabelledView post →Dad's watching LETHAL WEAPON 2 in the other room...a fantasy film where Mel Gibson fights against white supremacists.
unlabelledView post →Shitty Movie Details Lethal Weapon 2 had to use Apartheid South Africans as villains because it's one of the few groups more recognisably racist than US police
unlabelledView post →Godfather II was superior to the original & everyone knows this. Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade was the best film in the series & Lethal Weapon 2 is fun even though Mel Gibson is scum.
unlabelledView post →Well the orginal guy saying that. Obviously Lethal Weapon 2 isn’t the first film
unlabelledView post →First R rated movie I saw in theaters was LETHAL WEAPON 2 (I was 12). First one I saw that I can remember was probably PURPLE RAIN. But, my dad let us watch R- rated movies a lot, even PORKY’S. Also, that was the same man who let me watch XXX pornography at 11. No wonder I’m screwed up.
unlabelledView post →So I noticed that the subtitles for LETHAL WEAPON 2 on the digital version are clearly for the edited version of the movie. None of this film's many swears appear in the subtitles. "Hello, asshole" is "Hello, airhead" and "Leo, shut the fuck up" becomes "Shut your mouth," etc

Dude gave me that LETHAL WEAPON 2 look: Guy: I won't listen to your friend here! You can't possibly be writing for The Boston Globe! Me: Why not? Guy: Because you're BLICK!
unlabelledView post →“’Lethal Weapon 2’ is both a doubling-down on a few chosen dynamics from the first film that worked well, and a knowing expansion of those dynamics into something new, without trying too hard or going too far.” crimereads.com/chekhovs-nai...
unlabelledView post →My take is - if I owned it before I learned the person was evil then continuing to interact with it isn’t going to help them in any way. Like if I pop in my ancient Lethal Weapon 2 dvd that doesn’t benefit Mell Gibson, but if I stream the movie it does. But also lots of good folks are impacted too

unlabelledView post →Apropos of zero current events, Lethal Weapon 2 is a cool movie. Here's Danny Glover being awesome.
unlabelledView post →Time to revisit Lethal Weapon 2. The Riggs comment at the end of the movie sums up Elon and X. " Who's the ........... now?" Bluesky will more than compete with X, and he knows it.

unlabelledView post →Joss Ackland just died aged 95. Three roles are his for me: DeNomolos in @ed_solomon's "Bogus Journey"; the Russian Ambassador in "Hunt For Red October"...and the South African monster with a very memorable line in "Lethal Weapon 2". Sad to see him go. www.theguardian.com/film/2023/no...
unlabelledView post →He grew his own Kong beard. (GODZILLA VS. KONG is still my favorite film of his, especially with the LETHAL WEAPON 2 reference)
unlabelledView post →Lethal Weapon 2: The script doesn't quite have that Shane Black sparkle but that aside this is very nearly the equal of the first film. The budget matches the sheer scope (the stilted house, the toilet scene) and it's a masterstroke to have apartheid era white South Africans as villains. So good.
unlabelledView post →Kamen played with it in the first LETHAL WEAPON, too, though that movie isn't exactly trying to be sophisticated. By the time LETHAL WEAPON 2 came along it was fully a cartoon, complete with a Carl Stalling-esque opening theme!
unlabelledView post →I remember our film buyer having to overbid for Lethal Weapon 2 and us playing it wayyyyyyyyyyy past when interest had died down in desperation to cover his bid. I do miss word of mouth, discount houses, etc.
unlabelledView post →I didn’t know there was a Lethal Weapon 2. I assume, having seen neither, that the first movie reveals the eponymous “lethal weapon” is his fist, and in the sequel, “lethal weapon 2” is revealed to be his other fist.
unlabelledView post →I’m pretty sure the first one I saw in the theater was LETHAL WEAPON 2 when I was 9. I recall being hypnotized by the ads and my mom forcing my dad to take me. He didn’t like going to movies and fell asleep in the theater and I had to keep waking him up because he snored so loud. I love that movie.
unlabelledView post →Haha, it's like the hallways from that movie that everyone is talking about, Lethal Weapon 2
