It feels like it is missing a third of the game because... well... it is. If I had known this beforehand it might not have been an issue but it's not something any other Lego games have suffered from so it took my unawares. Over all it is still a great game with lots of content and extras to explore but you really do need…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imagine buying “The Hobbit” and getting two chapters plus a shrug. This game proudly calls itself LEGO The Hobbit… then stops right before the entire third movie. Credits roll, story ends, and you’re left wondering if your game glitched or if someone at WB just went home early. The best part? They originally announced the missing final act as paid DLC: because nothing says “epic fantasy adventure” like selling the ending separately. Then they didn’t even release it. So yes, this is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a really charming LEGO game with a lot of humor, fun puzzles, and a great Middle-earth atmosphere. The co-op is especially enjoyable, and exploring the world feels surprisingly relaxing. It does end a bit abruptly since it only covers the first two Hobbit movies, but overall it’s still a fun adventure for LEGO and Tolkien fans.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hell yeah I love when my video games that are based around a trilogy are missing **30%** of the story. Love it even more when the publisher doesn't bother to disclose that fact, while at the same time bragging about it being their most expansive at the time. MY BROTHER IN CHRIST you're missing a THIRD of the story, arguably the best part of it. THIS IS WHY MOM DOESN'T ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LOVE YOU
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my modest review for a kids game in the big 2026 At first I really liked this game, and I do. However the long walks to get to places ruin it. Also you screen is so minimized in this game. They have never fixed this problem and never will. That being said I have never played lotr lego and no idea what to expect. BUT THE BIG PROBLEM THEY NEVER FINISHED THE GAME, It just goes into the first and the second movie and then stops. there is no DLC no nothing. I want to 100% it so bad but im…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bugs where character gets stuck, it crashes often AND it doesn't have the last movie in it. Big disappointment.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So this game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess. I hated it from start to finish. There wasn’t a single point where I actually enjoyed myself—literally none. I first played it back in April 2022. I hadn’t watched *The Hobbit* movies (or even *Lord of the Rings*), but that’s never stopped me with LEGO games before. My goal was simple: 100% all LEGO games. I finished the story, saw the open world, saw the material and crafting systems, and immediately thought “♥♥♥♥ that, not today.” I dropped the game for three…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately it is incomplete. End credits roll after Smaug flies out of Erebor towards laketown
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I generally like the LEGO games. This was not one of them. Pros: - Journey back through Middle Earth with a new crew of characters. Cons: - The game follows the first two Hobbit movies. It has no DLC for the third movie nor anything from the Lord of the Rings, not even little call backs. - There was A LOT of running back and forth to things in order to get all the collectables. It sucks. - At some point the game would glitch and not allow you to either, accept a quest or turn in a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A SCAM by definition! Another case of the developers NEVER testing nor playing their own game before selling it at full price. There are 2 categories of scam in here: -You only get 1/3 of the game. -The number of bugs that will either brake your game or lose your hours of progress. 1.Let's talk about the first scam. Indeed contrary to any other LEGO game before, it is either base on a single movie or a trilogy. This is even more emphasize by the previous LEGO Lord of the Rings following this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Among all the Lego games, Lego The Hobbit is definitely within the lower echelon. It adheres to the Lego format fine, and it's a welcome addition to any Lego fan's library. But outside this niche crowd, I can hardly recommend this game, and would suggest checking out other renowned Lego titles. My biggest gripe with this game is it's incomplete. You only get to play through the first two movies, and it upsets me that I paid for an unfinished product which lacks any plan for completion. Perhaps…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After multiple game breaking bugs, and crashes galore, I cannot recommend this game. It also only includes 2 of the 3 stories. So you're entirely missing out on the ending of the hobbit. No Idea why they never finished this. Even as a avid lord of the rings fan its sad to see the lack of effort. You spend endless hours after beating the main story just trying to 100% the game, and you gotta pray the game doesn't bug your save and have you missing one item. Not enjoyable for achievement…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't buy this game. It is unfinished, it only contains the 1st and 2nd movies, the 3rd was a planned DLC that was never released. So the game ends endruptly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still better than the Rings of Power The game uses voice tracks and songs from the movies which is nice. However, I should note that this game only encompasses two of the movies, an Unexpected Journey & Desolation of Smaug, the Battle for the Five Armies is not included. They were going to make it as DLC and never did. Therefore there is a lot of levels with no enemies in it at all compared to the Lord of the Rings game. This game does have Lord of the Rings characters in that include (Bilbo…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →missing the third movie is cooked considering its a Trilogy like LOTR can tell its corporate greed when they rush to push a game before trilogy is complete then completely neglect to even include it as DLC good game = bad review as im dissapointed as a fan

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is mostly fun, but the amount of bugs is mind-boggling. Some missions in free play are straight-up unfinishable due to freezing or black screening. It’s less “adventure” and more “will the game crash this time?” The loot mechanic exists purely to keep you busy like jangling keys in front of a toddler. Tons of collectibles, zero satisfaction. You grind, you unlock stuff, and then you ask yourself why you’re doing any of this as your character clips into the floor for the third time.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The LEGO loot system is dumb. Thankfully, it can be avoided with red bricks. Go play LEGO Lord of the Rings instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If on sale or for someone who just wants to complete collection games this is a good choice. But it is very aged, incompatable with newer systems, and missing most of the third movie. This game def launched before they knew how it would end. for those that care about a lego game story this one ends prematurely
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →excellent game mechanics and graphics too bad it didn't have the 3rd film in it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game only covers 2 of the 3 movies leaving you with an unfinished story. In my 40 hour gameplay I had many crashes and I needed to use a glitch to be able to 100% the game. This is only recomended if you really like LEGO games and the Peter Jackson movies
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They really took everything from the sequel and made it ten times worse, even the intro to this game sucks ass, are we base building or actually doing something ?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I hate that I am giving this a thumbs down. I have played this game twice on PC and Playstation. There are SO MANY bugs and glitches it is infuriating. I love the Lego games! They are some of my all time favorite games, but they did this one dirty. My game crashed multiple times, it didn't save when I went the save route, hints wouldn't show up when they were supposed to so I had to go online to see what random things people did to get the game to correct itself. I fell through holes in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lego has seriously improved gameplay even better than some of the old classics. This game was so fun that it made me even more upset to discover they never finished it. It leaves off on a very dissatisfying cliffhanger and has none of the Battle of the Five Armies, which I was looking forward to the most.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The only thing I disliked about this game is that it doesn't complete the story. The gameplay, characters, side quests, etc were all as high quality as I've come to expect from Lego games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The third movie is missing from the game. Sometimes it was frustrating, mainly the camera angles in small spaces, bugged quests, and the navigation not navigating. Some cutscenes, like fast travel, or changing the day/night are non-skippable, which towards the end of the game gets pretty boring. Overall I enjoyed playing it. Reached perfection under 50 hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best lego game and one of the greatest games set in the world of the lord of the rings.i have been playing this game since i was a kid,and i love it.i highly recommend it to play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Easily the most disappointing game of the Lego franchise. The story was never finished so it ends abruptly after the first two movies, and after finishing the main campaign the game becomes almost unplayable with the amount of times it freezes or crashes. Trying to replay levels in free play ends in crashing halfway or most of the way through the level 8 out of 10 times. Overworld missions are very buggy, switches become untargetable randomly, characters phase through the ground or get stuck…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buggy as heck. Crashed my GPU at the very start, and when I was able to get into the game I immediately got stuck because one character got trapped into a puzzle element. Not gonna bother with this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Perfect Game 46 (Lego The Hobbit) Play Time 20hrs (7/10) This is a Lego game, you have fun doing the main levels and then you're real journey through hell begins. Getting the 100% was not easy to do but I did it and I had to turn down all of the graphics settings and play at the smallest resolution possible just for the quests to register me doing them but I did it. It's a funny game and good to play but I wish the devs gave it some sort of patch to help it cope with higher equipment and rigs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, it's a kids game, and I am not going to judge it based on the gameplay being basic and repetitive. Biggest problems are randomly wasting time and crashes during the fast traveling. Still a fun game with some decent funny scenes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imagine shipping an unfinished game. Played through this with a friend on another platform and we were both incredibly disappointed by the absolute butchering of an ending. No closure, no fun final act, nothing - the game just boots you back to the map. There is no Battle of The Five Armies and the game doesn't even try to end on a good note. Honestly a huge disappointment given the new features added in the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am giving this a positive review because ultimately it is a solid, fun Lego game. That being said, why does it only contain two thirds of the story of the Hobbit? It suddenly cuts off without any explanation, I was genuinely questioning my sanity for a minute while trying to remember how the story plays out in the book and movies. I feel like the incompleteness of the game should at least be mentioned on the store page!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incomplete + buggy. Lazy crash grab game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sadly the 3rd film isn't in the game, but LEGOOOOS. Fun game, get it on a sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Massive bummer that this only includes 2 out of the 3 Hobbit stories, but still fun as always.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lego The Hobbit may not be as good as The Lord of the Rings. But much like the movies this has promise. If you want a ton of easy fun gameplay The Hobbit has you covered.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got the game since it's a LEGO game but was very dissapointed with the amout of bugs and freezes that occured doring my gamelpay as i had to constantly restart. The game only encompasses the first two movies as the third was ment as a DLC but got scrapped in 2015 My overall experience was dissapointing 3/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An absolute blast, and a huge game considering it doesn't even cover the whole trilogy. If you like LEGO, and you like The Hobbit, then I think the chances of you enjoying this are very high. A game I really enjoyed and one I can easily recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NEED TO PLAY IN YOUR LIFETIME ~~ 10/10 Flamingo Score This is my first LEGO game I have played and got me into LEGO games as a whole. I didn't like the style at first but it set in and i'm in love with it. Hours on hours of gameplay that will not be spent wasted. Although it doesn't have the final movie in it, it does have the Smaug fight which, when I was a kid, was absolutely scared of and couldn't complete it. However, I have stumbled upon this on steam and immediately bought it,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It feels way more polished than [url=store.steampowered.com/app/214510/LEGO_The_Lord_of_the_Rings/] LEGO The Lord of the Rings. However it still has its bugs. Even though the bugs are few they have forced me to restart the game multiple times... I mostly recommend this game for its story mode and the nostalgia for LEGO games. Playing through story mode was fun, though lacking the third and final part sucks (I think it was because of licensing issues...). It feels like LEGO The Hobbit has…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the better games in the Lego catalog. This games improves upon the previous lego lord of the rings game which was already amazing. Lots of great characters and tons of quests and collectibles to keep you entertained for hours, if not days. Highly recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is missing the last third of the story, but stays true to the Lego style of replaying the same levels several times to unlock everything
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →absolutely amazing game, one of the best lego games i have played
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They never finished the game, it ends where the second movie ended.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →LEGO® Bob™ Official Review: This game was such a let down. WB pulled the plug on this game, so you only get to play the first two movies. This was a copy/paste of LOTR with some named locations removed and some locations redesigned. I am not a fan of having to collect treasures in each level, especially when the red bricks tied to helping you locate the collectibles in each level are tied to - you guessed it - the treasure you need to find. ALL of the side quests were fetch quests or…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a LEGO game what else i can say, pretty good but i expected to see the second movie of the Hobbit to be here in the game but it was cancelled
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Compared to LORTR this game is VERY bad and confusing. You'll spend more time cycling through characters trying to find the right one than playing. It's horribly bugged and you'll spend more time going to camp fires to switch back to day than to actually play. I had frustrations with LOTR but omg that one is a purge, the dev clearly did not care about making a game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lovingly crafted (all puns intended) retelling of the Hobbit. My 4.5 year old son is having an absolute blast playing through this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game for gooning, higly reconmend installing the hobbits underwear mod
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having (endured through the pain) completing the game finally. I gotta say, it's really just not engaging. Where-as the Lotr lego game was buggy as all hell and softlocked me a few times. This game just isn't fun. It's a slog to even get through, so much QOL is removed for 'thematic reasons', puzzles are unfun and overdone. I can't say positive things about this title. It's largely the same as Lego Lotr. Open world, similar character types and abilities. I respect them trying to experiment and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why they hell did they not finish this game??? I was happy and excited to complete Bilbo's adventure, then they decide to strap on a dildo and ♥♥♥♥ me in the ass with that cliffhanger!!! WTH!?!?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incomplete game, does not include part 3: The battle of the Five Armies which will lead to a negative review. This title fair for it's playability though there are endless 'hint stones' placed everywhere, dialogue of no-named characters that cannot be skipped, ENDLESS crossdresser jokes/visuals to no end; simply just a bad joke told over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and... From beginning to incomplete end. Overused and unimaginative cells used for any…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a really fun lego game. But it's only 2/3 of the film. Ends as Smaug flys over the city of Dale. Very dissapointed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it was fun, not as good as LOTR and its missing the last movie, which honestly incomplete.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great and goofy look into the world of Tolkien. Took about 37 hours to 100% the game (both in game and all achievements) and I had an absolute blast doing it. This Lego game features one of the best, most "open worlds" I have seen in any Lego game. You can literally explore everywhere from Hobbiton all the way to the Lonely Mountain! There are tons of quests, characters and items to unlock along the way, making it a great time running from area to area.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THIS IS AN UNFINISHED GAME. I completed Lego Lord of The Rings and enjoyed it quite a lot, so I decided to play The Hobbit next. I watched Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit back to back so I could play the games along side the movies. While The Lord of The Rings game follows the movies pretty faithfully, this game, The Hobbit, does NOT. Not only does this game only loosely follow The Hobbit movies, but they decided to only base it off the first two, and skip the entire 3rd movie. So this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great game from my childhood, with a cool storyline and an open world. It's worth noting that there's co-op, though it's a shame it's not network-based. The main drawback of this game is that it's made up of two parts instead of three, meaning the story is essentially unfinished. My rating: ✭✭✭✭✰
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, has good gameplay and multiple good mechanics that aren't in the other good LEGO games. this game is good and compares to the goodness of other good LEGO games including the good LEGO starwars the complete saga.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THAT'S IT! I HAVE HAD IT! Played this back to back with Lego Lord of the Rings to try them out and hunt them afterwards and it was nothing but a nightmare and chore. The lego games are boring, busted, and broken games that shouldn't be available for purchase to anyone. I could see these kinds of games appealing to children in some ways maybe but come on these games are just boring. Every character for the most part is essentially the same and nothing ever really changes or improves. This…
