  Does not work sadly. I tried so hard and got so far but in the end the game didnt even try launching. Just silently fails. I am devastated can't scratch that good old harry potter itch in lego form. If anyone reads this please thumb me.

  This game is very fun, i LOVED, great Lego game. BUT, the savegame randomly deletes itself and the developers do nothing to fix it. After 3 hours of gameplay and puzzles, you really don't want to redo them, and that is exactly what I did on the Switch, where the savedata hasn't been deleted once yet.   The Lego games are as usual charming, very funny and best enjoyed in Co-Op. I don't know about the new-gen Lego games, but Lego Harry Potter was made in the Golden Age.   One of the top LEGO games ever. Although, given its 'abandoned' and older state, as well as the additional features, bug fixes, stability fixes, QOL, and visual updates, I highly-highly recommend the LEGO HP Collection instead. If youre thinking of buying LEGO HP, you should instead by the new LHP Collection game instead, it might be a bit more expensive but I'd say the updates warrant the price (ONLY EVER buy any of these games on sale).

  fun cute game that sticks to the main events of the books. Lego games are always fun. Controls and camera are a bit jerky but it's still a game I'd recommend. Only crashed once with me, which for such an old game is quite impressive

  So i know the Collection exists, but there is a charm to this version of the game being only years 1-4. i played this orignally on Wii when it came out and now 100% again on pc is a nostalgia trip. and still as frustratic and funny as it was back then

  LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 is easily one of the best LEGO games out there, back then, LEGO games didn't have voice acting, so they told the story with these really funny visual gags. It totally worked! It's still a fantastic game.

  JK Rowling sucks and so do the old LEGO games when you replay them as an adult. Play it on Dolphin or somethin if you really wanna experience the deep inner machinations of LEGO Harry Potter. Don't let my 49 hours logged fool you, I was drinking heavily and going through a wave of nostalgia for the Harry Potter franchise when I logged all those hours.

  I think this used to work fine, but now it doesn't load properly on Steam Deck. Just a black screen. I tried a few different Proton versions, but they were all the same. There's audio and a few sprites, but far from playable.

  One of the worst lego games in history for bugs, corruption and crashes. I wouldn't recommend playing this even for nostalgia sake. I had to download a 100% save file because mine bugged out with the final student in peril. I'm extremely annoyed, but it is what is. I made it all the way to 98.8%. If you need to download a save file, make sure it says: "GAME1.LEGO®_Harry_Potter™SaveGameData" otherwise it will not work.

  Nice little retelling of the first four HP books or movies without words. Also, as grown man, failing at riddles made for literal primary school children is very funny. Lego games were much better when the characters didn't talk, because then the developers had to find creative ways to still convey the story.

  Do not play this game if you wanted to complete it 100%. Got stuck at 199/200 golden bricks. The last one, from the clock tower is bugged and if you aren't aware of it, will permanently not be counted for your save file. Apparently instead of trying to fix it, wbgames gives you a code for the missing brick. Just play Lego Harry Potter Collection instead. It's newer and probably doesn't brick your save file.

  Probably one of the best atmospheres of any LEGO game. The open world is not too big (unlike with LEGO Batman 2, I feel), and the charm is here in droves. Up there with LEGO Star Wars: TCS and LEGO Batman as one of the great LEGO games.

  100% complete in about 35 hours. Super fun classic lego game. I would recommend clearing each free roam area of collectibles at the same time so you dont get to the end and spend hours looking for something you missed. Great game other than that!

  It's a fun, cute game but quite buggy. Nice for a nostalgia trip but you WILL run into bugs that softlock you and force you to spend 20 minutes jankily jumping around hoping one of your followers high jumps up a cliff twice their height. It is fun overall though.

  First out of two Lego Harry Potter games and it is magnificent. Great transition from movie to a Lego game, which tell the same story, but with a new coat of classic Lego humor. Gameplay is solid, progression seems fair, but the cast is, while massive, really lacks in diversity. But overall great experience and lots of fun. - 9/10. Fun for the whole family.

  I can't play this on geforce now... it tells me to buy the bundle. And I supposed I've bought the years separately. This game has been unplayable on every other computer I've tried playing.
