But it's INSANELY short! It has 4 maps (+ a tutorial). That's it. The average kingdom rush game consists of like 20-30 maps, this has 4. I mean, even if there were 3 times as many maps, I'd go like 'wow, that was quite short', but come on, 4? I hardly got into the game and just started exploring its logic and tactics, and it's over already.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This has immediately put me off and irritated me, i'd be refunding it if i'd gotten it separately and not in a bundle. It has <expletive>d me off enough to look at Ironhide as a company in a new negative light. Unlike the Tower Defence (and even Iron Marines) ports, this does not feel PC native at all - the awkward constant double clicking interface *screams* touch-design. Fine I figure, maybe it'll be a rare case of something I prefer on my phone - but no, there it's apple only and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't even think buying that. Repetitive, unbalanced, random, boring and dull dogwater. Don't even get it on sale or for free, it's not worth your time
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yall should update this game, some more characters and a new campaign would be nice
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ironhide should stick to TD.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't think anything is more representative of the state of Ironhide than a tedious chore of a game like this. A small handful of areas all painfully similar to each other, poor balance, an illusion of choice via randomness and slow, repetitive gameplay. If this is the best choice the team can make, it should probably just disband sooner or later.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I give them credit for trying something new but it sucked. I love all their other Kingdom Rush games but this one you can skip. Very slow paced and boring to me. Not a whole of strategy imo.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Most of the negative reviews are mad that this isn't another tower defense game. If you're looking for a tower defense game, this obviously isn't one. It's a pretty good Tactics/roguelite game. Pretty much all of the available party members are capable of standing out in combat, and the combat encounters in every zone are different enough to keep things from getting repetitive, but I wish it was longer. There are also a lot of situations where a single bad dice roll or damage RNG can ruin the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great Idea, solid attempt however incredibly unpolished execution. Before you read this review, please understand the context. 1. This game was designed for mobile under a subscription based gaming model for non-gamers (Apple Arcade) thus has a wide audience target. 2. Ironhide is an indie company with scarce manpower and cannot keep updating an old game while also pumping out new games (there is another live service as well). Legends of KR was Ironhide's attempt at a turnbased roguelites…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Most of the negative reviews complaining about apparent unfair moments/encounters are frankly just about being bad at the game. I played & completed many runs and winning is pretty consistent if you know what you're doing, even with a bit of bad luck along the way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the Kingdom Rush tower defense games, but this turn-based spin-off sadly isn't as good. For me, there are two major problems with this game. First of all, there are too many enemies on the small maps. While it's fun to experiment with different combinations of characters, you'll always end up defending your starting position because you're always outnumbered and all enemies are coming straight towards you. Staggering most enemies while killing the closest one is the only effective way of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i don't regret this purchase and it will stay installed simply because i really love Kingdom Rush. overall for my genuine review, the gameplay is pretty fun, but the game majorly lacks the level of content i'd want out of a Kingdom Rush spinoff of this nature. The number of heroes is a bit too low and it's the same for companions, i'd be satisfied if the roster was maybe doubled, and the number of characters would'nt be this big an issue if the whole game wasn't only 3 short adventures with one…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the gameplay and to this day am still playing the arena challenges however, I cannot fully recommend the game due to the unfortunate lack of content as the game feels a little pricey for the actual content so therefore do not purchase unless you are a diehard kingdom rush or tile combat fan
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like losing to bad rng, this is the game for you. Clever strategy can exist if you force it to.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everything feels pretty well-balanced overall until the Wild Moon adventure. You don't get enough time to level up your heroes, and the map is extremely unforgiving. Sometimes, you can die in the first encounter just because the enemies casually outnumber you. Or you die repeatedly at the boss, because who thought it was a good idea to put a melee, ranged, and summoner boss on the same map while it's slowly being covered in minions? Want to kill the minions first? You die because the bosses…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →That's... it? The game has 4 maps + tutorial. It's incredible short. If I hadn't AFKed and repeated a map, I would have beaten it in 3h or so. It has a bunch of characters and heroes you can unlock, but nothing to throw them against unless you replay the little content that exists. The "campaign" is so ridiculously short it might as well be an extended demo. The gameplay is fun, but missing a bunch of QOL features. Why can't I see the range of enemies? Why can't I see all hexes targeted…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Painfully basic, forgettable, and uninspired.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's very overhated, you still get a lot of content for the price even if it took some time to release, I have no idea why people call it unbalanced, it took mi maximum of 4 tries to beat each campaign on itself. Even tho it was created for mobile players, it still is a very good port and works and looks great on pc. I wish Ironhide would make more games like this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is very unbalanced and shallow. For example, you'll encounter wolves that will freeze your characters when they hit it a normal attack. So your tank get basically frozen for the entire battle so you end up with 2 characters fighting 6 monster.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everything about this game is entertaining, from the cute graphics to the silly story and the quick to finish battles.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's got real potential for fun, but really needs to be fleshed out. It seems that so much is missing. I'd say it's only 25% of what the full game should be in terms of content and mechanics. Real shame, as what there is is really fun to play. It's a hex based strategy game, with RPG elements. You choose a party of characters with different abilities then progress through a range of challenges, where you level up your party and receive bonuses or debilitations through a choice of events…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Waste of money, you do the same and the same again and again, so boring. One of the worst games in this franchise!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →7.6/10 I actually think this is a good attempt by Ironhide. While Legends has quite a few flaws and shortcomings compared to other, more superior wargames, and I got the impression during my playthrough that a lot of it wasn't terribly well-designed, at least it has something to offer. But the deadliest problem is that there isn't enough content in the game, and it lacks the incentive for players to play it over and over again; you can get through everything in 6 hours if you're quicker, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not worth the money. Worth maybe 5 dollars. I got it because I enjoyed the Kingdom Rush Tower defense, but this game is janky. Unclear rules in combat. There are many annoying animations and cutscenes that look like a kid created it. It was obviously made to nostalgia bait people into buying the powers needed to play the game. I still somewhat enjoy it, but this is a stain on the Kingdom Rush franchise.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoy the normal Kingdom Rush games. I like the style of gameplay they were going for with this. this is almost a yes but basically I cannot recommend overall. The game is pretty slow paced and some units really arent that good. your characters are slow to level and when you get new ones they feel very under powered. You can play on easy to level your character then move up in difficulty if your having trouble but replaying the same areas and the same combat isnt fun for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unquestionably this is Ironhide Game Studio's worst project. Heavily, heavily RNG based. Do not recommend. Stick to their other titles.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good idea, bad execution. Needs polishing and more content but it is playable. Kind of forgettable if you are not a Kingdom Rush fan. Grab it on a sale
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has a bug that was reported a couple of years before I purchased the game. I am having problems with this bug that was reported on 2022
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very Fun Gameplay However, I think this game needs more updates, such as new campaign, PvP, or even a Sandbox mode if possible, as I love Sandbox games (Maybe a Level Workshop where you can play levels made by the community)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 Exactly what I was looking for! +Casual enough you can get in and out of the game without a huge time (or brainpower) commitment. +Deep enough to keep coming back to try new characters/abilities/tactics. +Random enough to provide excellent replay value. +Runs like a champ on my MacBook Pro! Try the demo ... right now ... I dare you! I bought Slay the Spire and refunded it an hour later. The art was a little too "cartoony" ... the monsters were a little too "fantastical" ... and the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite all the hate this game has been getting I personally love it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So unbalanced and no system build at all
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Fun Spin-Off That I Ended Up Enjoying More Than Expected ⚔️🛡️ As a fan of the Kingdom Rush series, I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the switch from tower defense to turn-based combat, but Legends of Kingdom Rush ended up being a really enjoyable experience. Building a team, combining abilities, and planning battles was surprisingly fun, especially in the more difficult encounters where strategy actually mattered. The characters also have a lot of personality, and the humor and art style…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very simply roguelite. Feels like a mobile game, I'm surprised there aren't MTX for premium currency (honestly expected there to be after my first half hour of playing). I don't really see any reason to play this to be honest, there are much better turn based tactics options out there. Pass.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is pretty good, I've played all the previous Ironhide games and this one holds up pretty well. It has a good bit of lore every level but it's a little short. I hope they add some more DLC or a higher difficulty because the game isn't that hard. I only lost once during the entire campaign and bonus stage. It's kind of like a RPG but with some roguelite elements. It has good replayablity because of the RNG with the encounters, you can only pick 3 heros for your party, and you get to add…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surely the best game in this genre, and one of the best games in the KR-series. Cool graphics, pretty balanced, good boss fights, lore, recurring heroes, and so on
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More content pls
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been stuck on the 2nd adventure at casual difficulty for more than 4 hours!!!I have played other tactical games but this one is really unfair!!! Your money is best spent on other turn based combat games such as XCOM 2 or Enemy Unknown which have the same price tag as this!! Not recommended!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tip: Right click on an ability or character to find out more information about it/them, including enemies. The concept and mechanics seem pretty simple at first, but the strategies and synergies possible are honestly much more interesting than at first glance. Many of the RNG mechanics can be planned around and don't feel super unfair in my opinion. This game is also quite well balanced in terms of its characters, each having their own uses and combos. Normal difficulty is pretty fair and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why have you started poking your noses into other genres? Your USP is tower defense; stick to it. This game is boring and punishing, without any logic. The achievements were designed in a way to make the user do unnecessary, repetitive nonsense. I will be careful with my next purchases from you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is definitely not the same as the other Kingdom Rush games, but I think it's still quite a decent game. You'll run through the entire game fairly quickly, but the ability to make multiple combinations of your team and the map that changes every time you play makes the game have some replayability. Achievements are okay. Most of them are fun and a good extra challenge that makes the game exciting. Others can be a pain in the ass since some of them are entirely based on RNG. The price…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The recommend is very lukewarm. The game plays like a tabletop game with the Kingdom Rush look. There is nothing above and beyond what you would expect and the leveling is less than average for current standards. 6/10 seems about right with might not be a real recommend but I love all the other Kingdom Rush games. Buy them first and play them first. Then buy the DLC for those games. Then buy Iron Marines and the squel. Then buy this game if you like the developers and want more...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this nothing like any other Kingdom Rush game. I don't understand the point of it, but it's just terrible. If you're a KR devotee or like Tower Defence games, this is not for you. Avoid
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My favorite of the Kingdom Rush games. Emergent behavior appears from simple rules interactions. Scratches my tactical gaming itch.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It isn't perfect and will freeze from time to time when playing on a Mac but the simple tactics are fulfilling and my biggest complaint is that there isn't enough content. Good game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First rogue-like game I can genuinely say I enjoyed. The fact that its Kingdom Rush makes it all the better
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While it may feel repetitive, the world itself is amazingly built throughout the Kingdom Rush franchise. Along with that, LoKR is a fun experience itself.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game as always, i played every kingdom rush on my mobile, first i played my first kingdom rush in my childhood, i can't believe Ironhide studio made this soo far, i would reccomand this game to everyone to play this game, LOVE YOU IRONHIDE TEAM!!!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →semi-finished ♥♥♥♥
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best turn rpg i´ve ever played. Pros: Roguelike sistem: Every adventure your heroes restart. But you can unlock new skills for next matches. Amazing battles and strategy. Lots of heroes and options. Con: I LOVE the tower defenses from kindgom rush. This game is NOTHING like the tower defense series. So, don´t expect the same. This is a full diferent game. Few heroes are trash and need a buff , or turn game to easy to be able to use them and survive.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Whitout any doubts one of the best games Ironhide made in his history, if not the best. There's so many things i can say about this game, but I'm gonna start with the only bad thing I can say: and it's the lack of content in terms of adventures, which is resonable, due to the poor support this game have on it's early days, so it's not something you can criticize that much. but excluding that, this game is perfect. I'll start with the fact that I absolute love the adventure's aesthetic…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game deserved better.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was my first turn-based strategy game, and it made me appreciate that style of play. The gameplay is really solid, and I had a blast the first time I played through. It has a lot of replayability as well, and I only wish there was more comment to play. It's probably my favorite Kingdom Rush game, due to how much effort went into the details. This is the most "lore-intensive" game, and it makes an effort to do so. Absolute recommendation, and I want more of this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay is very basic and the game boards are just a few (only four) while 1 is just a tutorial, which should be enough for about 8 hours of playtime for the whole game. The game could have been developed much more further. It looks unfinished, or there is a DLC incoming. If you get this game for 1$, then I'd say it might be worth checking out for those who like the Kingdom Rush universe. It's a simple causal game. But play on normal just to give yourself a tad of thinking. There are going…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is absolutely good and it's very, very underrated. It's a shame that the reviews are neutral; "the game is too hard / unbalanced" lower the difficulty to casual, or learn how to play "the game lacks content" this one's a *bit* true, but actually no. This game relies heavily on replayability, with each adventure being different, even though they're on the same path, with different encounters, different random events (which are amazing and the variety show how much the devs cared),…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I understand that y'all don’t like this game because it change to RNG turn-based instead of TD as usual but the negative reviews sound so ridiculous like: -“Game is RNG, it ruin the tradition, nostalgia and the core of the franchise”. Sure it may ruin the tradition, but it called “Kingdom Rush” not “Kingdom Rush Tower Defense Simulator”, it can be whatever it want not always stay with TD gameplay. -“Heroes got reset after completed a campaign”. You literally have to play 26 levels in the first…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lovely game, utterly lacking in content. It's quite unfortunate really. While it's fine enough replayed, this isn't what you really want for your money, and it doesn't feel good either with such a short run time. I had fun, but It lasted under six hours to complete the "campaign". I think all it needs are some updates, but until then, despite my enjoyment, I'd caution you to hold off. At least until some stuff is added, though I fear if that may never happen.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good battle gameplay brought low by RNG between fights. Arena mode is the peak: single fights with many heroes / enemies where you can get straight into it with all skills unlocked. The game isn't that hard overall, but can be made much easier / harder by which random events you get, and which dice challenges you get -- even beyond "do I have the right characters", some events give bonus attack or armor or invigorate units, all of which are vast bonuses compared to the normal XP. And the game…
