Its adorable graphics, uncomplicated story, and relatively unintimidating learning curve make it a must-have for RTS veterans who wish to get back in the saddle. I feel it would be perfect for newcomers to RTS as well. Follow [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/44352372/] Volcanic Reviews for more fun, informative reads! positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't get me wrong. I had fun with this game. But when it comes to whether I'd recommend it, hard no. It is buggy to all hell. This game is more strategic than the first, but the first is actually properly made for the most part Minor nitpick, no volume slider The things that scream unfinished: Melee units in this game are almost completely bugged (literally cannot hit anything and just moonwalks back and forth doing nothing) or otherwise just bad. Keep in mind that this game is a mobile…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a neutral comment: I don't recommend this game, but it's not a bad game. Iron Marine 1 is way better than this sequel. Pros: - game doesn't crash - in-game wiki is added Cons: - very bad control on PC -> e.g. select the ultimate ability by left clicking, then you can't cancel it by right clicking or ESC. - melee units have difficulties to find target - difficult to select units in order to change shape - missions are shorter and boring with respect to Iron Marine 1 - Maps are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Meh, Ironhide has really dropped its standards and quality with each game release. Don't get me wrong, it's still fun but... Sorry not sorry, this game isn't even worth that small price tag. Bonus: It also comes with bugs!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoyed the original Iron Marines, you’ll surely enjoy Invasion. Don’t expect large changes however, as it’s more of the same. I’d even go as far as saying it’s not up to the standard of other tiles from Ironhide Studios. Category Rating Description 🎮 Gameplay 6 Not as polished as other titles from Ironhide Studios with some movement and targetting issues present, but other than that, everything from the original is present 📷 Graphics 7 In line with all…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd rather give this game a 'mixed' review. Iron Marines is one of my favourite Ironhide games made, so I was really exited for this this sequel. Sadly this game was quite the disappointment for me, if I have to rank it, it will be my least favourite Ironhide game today. This game felt more like an update for the Iron Marines than a sequel, where they introduced a daily mode. The levels a very short and to easy (I completed every level first try in veteran difficulty with only sniper units).…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played and loved the original Iron Marines. This one felt lackluster in comparison. The campaign in the original kept me engaged. This one felt repetitive at times. The Spec-ops in the original were unique and interesting. The ones here are generic fetch and defend quests. And heros leveling is sooooo slooooow I gave up on maxing them out. It is clear this one was not focused on, and probably low budget, so keep expectations low when playing it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another 'banger' from Ironhide! I owned all the previous Ironhide steam games, and If you like tower defense style games, this is for you. Progression is great and amping up the difficulty makes it even more challenging. I love the little Easter eggs in the games too. Tons of replay value trying out different troop/tower combos. Personally I like the way the story line is presented in an old school comic book format too. Pew pew!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let me just say that I have played the first iron marines game and have gotten all the achivments for it. This is a pretty fun game and I haven't had any issues, until I got the the last mission. The mission starts as normal, I fight the first and second phase, but when I'm done with the second phase my game goes into a forever loop and I can't keep playing. This is a bug that had has been there for months and the devs haven't done anything. So I can't recommend you play this until they fix it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok so I am writing this review while Im fighthing the last boss. This is a HONEST review, where i'll talk mostly about the bad stuff. THE BOSSFIGHTS ARE BORING ASFFFF, every bossfight just feels sooo lamee, please I hoped the last BOSSFIGHT IS GONNA BE AMAZING!!! but its not.. u just have your units, split them, remove your hands from the keyboard and mouse and just watch. its very lame. instead i thought its gonna be smth like every race has its own base controlled by ai and we are all…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game sucks. It's not even the worst of the Ironhide games, It's just a bad game by itself. The map design is really unimaginative and enemies use cheap tactics. I'm really disappointed considering Ironhide usually makes some of my favorite tower defense strategy games. When I played the previous iron marines I really enjoyed it, but they took out all of the aspects of the previous that made it good. I liked that it was essentially a more simplistic star craft with more freedom to position…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Many glitches, massive problem commanding units. I am on 15th mission and will not play more till they fix ti literately get annoyed when units don't follow commands.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Compared to the first part, this one is like undercooked. And there is a very bad balance. I played it on the easiest level and it felt like I was playing on a medium or more difficult level, different from the previous level, and the side levels seemed to have their own level of difficulty. They are just a grind and get repetitive quickly. You also can't understand what exactly changes if you change the level because you only see the enemy's blood, which is the same but is still more durable…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice gameplay! And love the very extensive array of planets. I've played the 1st game, and this feels so good, or even better! Great artwork, and the music is so good. Keep going down this path Ironhide!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I went through the first game 2 or 3 times, here, I gave up on the fourth mission, it doesn’t drag on, you don’t feel the plot, the design of the maps is weak and the missions are not interesting, in general it looks like they released the game in a hurry because there were developments. Guys, just do more tower defenses, we are ready to play them forever!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is far from perfect, but the mix of Hero Progression, towerdefense and RTS with its cute art style got me hooked. The game is very simple but with a surprisingly big campaign with a total of 26 missions. My life is complicated enough, I was looking for a game like this and it was very worth my time. More like this please.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game's great so far! Art style is stellar as usual, controls are a massive improvement in comparison to the last game, and the number of factions interests me a lot. Only complaint so far is for some reason I don't have 1920x1080 as a choice for resolution, otherwise the game is great, I'm happy to know that Ironhide genuinely works on improving their games when they make sequels :D P.S. The soundtracks for these games have always been great but I'd like to note that they seemed to have been…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →RTS + heroes + factions = Select your hero and team for each mission. Level up tech/heroes. Choose missions to go on for xp/loot. Unlock achieves/bounties for $$. Sleek colorful graphics. [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35180752-3-point-play/] Follow our curator for similar games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has graphics with the charming style that is already characteristic of ironhide, but the music is not very impressive and does not contribute to the immersion in the scenes and the gameplay itself is not as fun and dynamic as the games in the Kingdom Rush series. There are serious problems in the controls and movement commands of the troops, which simply don't move or attack (I even just lost the mission to protect the feel cocoons because two of my troops were stuck in one place on…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The original Iron Marines was released about four years ago on Steam. The present game is the next one in what may become, a series. It doesn't disappoint. From the superb graphics to the challenging game play, it is a polished and entertaining product as video games should be. None of this half baked "Early Access" nonsense. You will get your money's worth in entertainment, instead of schooling the developers in how to make a game. For those who are looking at reviews to decide…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Immensely fun, with lots of replay value! :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game, is not finished in my opinion it has many buggs, champion powers do not work many times, they just randomly do not activate gameplay is not the best either, spec ops missions are joke, tbh they put a lot more effort into these in first game spec ops just tend to be more and more ♥♥♥♥ after u finish like 10 of them, which sucks because in first game you had very different type of mission, and those were scripted, which was nice another ♥♥♥♥ thing is music, its just boring because you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a lot more copy'n'paste than the first. The missions don't feel nearly as well balanced or compelling. They did more of a quantity over quality take here and it doesn't feel great. Missions get really grindy fast and to get a couple heroes high enough level to participate you end up doing bonus missions that are careless rehashes of the missions you already played. Squad counts stay lower and the unit types are a bit silly - particularly in terms of balance; since your number of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Returned:> Has no Volume Controls. I value my hearing and don't want to have to lower system settings because the developer is too lazy to put in controls.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am really enjoying the game, I hope other units will be added in the future! For people that are expierincing issues with graphics, set the resolution to the right one for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Way worse than the first one. Bad controls, way too boring and repetitive missions and awful balanced. I'm sorry Ironhide but this is staight up garbage compared to your other titles.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mobile: 8/10 ; PC: 6.5/10 A successful expansion outward, but at the cost of depth—and with even more bugs than its predecessor. Your experience with Iron Marines: Invasion depends heavily on what kind of game you expect it to be. If you're looking for “a lightweight, mobile-scale RTS with a distinctive Ironhide style,” then there's no question that it succeeds. But if you approach it strictly as “a smooth, strategically rigorous RTS designed for PC,” a number of problems quickly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is fun i must say, definitely an improvement from the first game. Hovever i'd wait for a discount if you want to buy this game. But other than that this game is fine.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was a huge supporter of Ironhide since the first Steam release and never thought Ironhide would cause such disappointment. The quality of the game has dropped to the maximum; it's bad even for mobile devices.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I WILL SHOW YOU MY STATS!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The original Iron Marines was phenomenal, Invasion on the other hand, despite being developed as a sequel, is worse in almost every aspect - The graphics is worse (resolution and art style), sound fx is worse (VA and mixing), UI as a whole is way worse (unresponsive with clunky animation). Mission design is downright lazy, not terrible but definitely boring to some extend. The addition of cutscenes is mostly consisted of awkward and low framerate animations, having comics instead would have…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first Iron Marines is already pretty flawed, but it managed to be a good game in spite of itself. Iron Marines Invasion is just broken. Units ignore orders for long period before finally following them, melee units just kinda get confused sometimes, it's impossible to intentionally target enemies for no reason sometimes (the final boss is a big offender here), the aggro range on your units is so short they just stand around a lot of the time... The game isn't split into campaigns like the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyed completing this game 100%,,, as much as iron marines
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm sorry Ironhide, but I just cannot in good faith recommend it. It looks great and plays well but it's just so flawed. I could not care less about the story, though maybe that's just me. The Spec Ops are total arse; just total nothing burgers that are a chore to play. Fortunately, they're optional. You spend so many levels just walking from A to B to C and doing basically nothing in between. You're units are usually completely capable of handling themselves without any input from you.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic sequel to a fantastic Small unit tactics game, the new units are fun and creative
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a very good sequel to the original one!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Great sequel to iron Marines enough said
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you liked Iron Marines, You're gonna like Invasion.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →absolutely compelling and even more varieties than in the previous version
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great sequel to a great game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good work like always IronHide!! I wish you all the best and keep doing all of these funny games that we love so much!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! It's more of a small tactical units game than a classic RTS. Its visuals are great and the narrative is very complex. It requires paying close attention and recapping at times to get the full picture. Kudos for the team!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like RTS games then this is the game for you. The story continues from Iron Marines. If you have played IR then this is the upgraded version. Not too easy and not too hard when it comes to achievements. You will have a lot of troops that can be transferred between planets. Have fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →有優化一些!! 終於看的到角色血條了 如果顯示在角色頭上個人覺得會更好 有時候還是會點不到敵人xd
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The great sequel of the original Iron Marines, a great mix of RTS and TD elements in one game, allowing (and demanding) to juggle between different tactics thanks to the option to rapidly switch each unit to another type of the same faction. The game is well balanced, accessible for players either looking for a chill playthrough while keeping it simple, or looking for a hard, punishing challenge. This game greatly improves many aspects from it's predecessor, adding endless sidequests as you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plz make a Kingdom Rush RTS version next. I hope thats what the ending hinted at. Overall this game was very fun and enjoyable for me. I only wished they improved the heroes' abilities more. Having only 2 abilities in a game like this is not fun. We need at least 3-5 abilities(not including ultimate). Hopefully in Iron Marines 3 they flesh out the tech tree more and include units in the tech tree.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Again, a sequel to a game that is a bit of a sideways move from IronHide Studios normal bread and butter, but its good fun. Again, the game is more micro intensive than their Tower games. I'm not as much a fan of all the different 'factions' you can use, as I feel that came at the cost of much of the upgrade system the original game had.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is good. Improved on the first title in many ways.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Free heroes and units are better than DLCs. (from mobile player)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ironhide always delivers, eventually.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed and liked previous IronHide games but this one has some problems for me. It has ui, performance (aspecially on map screen) and control issues. Maps are blank and not so thought of or enjoyable. If you want to play, wait for the discount.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After many years, new IM is released...it is still very good game, even tho I must admit, lots of things are worse compare to the first game. I still recommend this game to everyone who liked first IM!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →damn good sequel for the normal iron marines, nice idea of having different factions to chose betwen as our units and a really good upgrade system, i really hope for new heroes, missions and units in the future updates
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fine. Lightweight, but pleasant enough, with nicely cartoony visuals. Could stand a minimap or some other method of getting the camera around faster but, honestly, it's fine. Doesn't do anything new, but does what it does well enough.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good strategy game. Even though it is linear, the story is nice, the heroes and races that can be played are diverse. Fun for hours. The drawings used are nice. Always playing mission after mission, unlocking traits and other heroes and races. In addition to the main story missions, there are also side missions that can be replayed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I initially had an issue with leveling up heroes because I was going about it through grinding the randomized Spec Ops missions which I believe they made worse from the previous game; however, I found just sticking to the campaign to make the game more enjoyable. I dislike the route Ironhide is taking with "replayable" or randomized game loops starting with Legends of Kingdom Rush and now the Spec Ops missions in this game. I don't think they're pulling it off properly and the randomly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →yeah i mean this format is great for story telling but i dont really enjoy it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Full disclosure, I had the privilege of receiving 'Iron Marines Invasion' for early access and review purposes, courtesy of the developer. However, I want to emphasize that my thoughts and opinions shared in this review are entirely honest and reflect my genuine experience with the game. I've played through it twice, once on normal difficulty and once on impossible difficulty. Iron Marines Invasion by Ironhide Studios is an exhilarating game that manages to strike a balance between…
