For this challenge, I picked Gakushin from Koihime Enbu, the only hand-to-hand fighter in a game full of weapon users, and avoided anything with a kick animation. I might've fudged the definition a bit, but I really didn't wanna fall back on boxer characters.

unlabelledView post →Remembered the discussion in stread chat about Koihime Enbu having a really questionable character design in DLC and made myself laugh imagining a guy playing the newer Melty Blood going "at least there's nothing unsavory going on in THIS fighting game!"
unlabelledView post →One more: Koihime Enbu. This is THE game if you are new. Any veteran in the know will agree. I simply don't have enough words to go over why, but it is the perfect game to instill good habits and "teach" you without a real tutorial. Banger ass music too. Pick it up and play with other noob friends!

unlabelledView post →Koihime Enbu really is the ground based footsies game people imagine Super Turbo or SamSho to be. The subtle interplay between the frame data and the hougeki system allows for a gameplay experience where you can never turn your brain off because every interaction matters, and you should play it toni

unlabelledView post →Oh I'm on board, just that I wouldn't call Z-A a capital F Fighting Game when you don't have direct control and therefore don't have foozies. Also, the theoretical accessible fighting game exists, it's called Koihime Enbu and it's hard as shit because you *have* to play the fighting game.
unlabelledView post →It's also why you get offshoots like Koihime Enbu. Someone *felt* something enough to make this doujin fighting game based on an isekai eroge because, quite frankly, after playing some chunk of Koihime Musou I see why you want to build a system to have these characters fight.
unlabelledView post →20. Koihime Enbu RyoRaiRai This fighting game is actually one of the best but artstyle + characters seems to filter out majority of players when trying to get them to at least try this game. I really love different kind of characters as they are really unique and mechanics of this game
unlabelledView post →Koihime Enbu RyoRaiRai! for the little time that I've put into it, the game ROCKS. it's entirely made up of women who are wearing very little clothes and doing the most insane shit you've ever seen in a fighting game. it's tough to find matches, but god I think i would love to learn it for real

unlabelledView post →I haven't played this game in a long time on the PS3. I want to say the game closest to this (sorta) is Koihime Enbu RyoRaiRai but I still prefer Aquapazza. I still think this game should've been released on PS4 the same year the PS3 version came out. Cool to see it on Steam, hopefully consoles.
