60 of 313 · most liked firstForced tutorial at the beginning. It asked me to sign into a third-party account at startup, then covered the screen with an advertisement for DLC that, when I tried to close it, attempted to automatically buy the DLC through Steam. Luckily there was some kind of error so it did not go through. Total garbage.

The builder AI just got a revamp, and thank goodness, because those dudes are dumber than rocks. Literally must be, to hit a hammer on a tree and expect it to fall down. My mom was really excited for this game to come out and actively played New Lands often. We were so looking forward to Two crowns coming out because it meant she and I could play together. Sadly she didn't live to see…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Actually a fun game, but giving it a negative review because they make you create an account and give your email, etc. to them before you can "unlock" otherwise free steam cloud saves. Also they aggressively push DLCs every time you login to the game, just like Ubisoft does with its booster packs. Just feels bad to know you bought a game and then are pushed all this nonsense so you can get the "full" game and features. Note to other game companies, don't do this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not worth your time. After 10 years it still has the same game breaking bug of letting the boat sail off without you. This means your campaign progress is now corrupted and you have to start all over. Starting over can be fun, but i'd like to finish the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game first.

You can see my Art & Animation in games like Wargroove, Starbound, Kingdom Two Crowns, Witchbrook and more! I'm now working on my own game, Loco Motive - where you have to solve a murder aboard a steam train! #gamedev #pixelart

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🌿 Oldie but Kingdom Two Crowns has me in its grips lately😅 i love this game
unlabelledView post →This game is OK for the first couple hours, but once you've figured out the mechanics it's literally the exact same thing on every single island. You don't get to decide where to build things, the spots and buildings are pre-defined. You go from one island to another and fight the exact same enemy over and over. It's quite boring once you've destroyed the first few islands.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →PROS + Beautiful pixel art and atmospheric environments. + Satisfying kingdom-building and resource management. + Great variety of mounts, units, and unlockable abilities. + Strong sense of progression as your kingdom develops. + Co-op adds a fun strategic layer. + Excellent atmosphere with fitting music and sound design. CONS - Some mechanics are poorly explained and difficult to understand. - Progression can feel slow at times. - Backtracking between areas can become tedious. -…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game should be studied. It's a time machine, I swear. It's the kind of game you can quickly boot up when you wanna chill for half an hour before you do your chores. Next thing you know, it's dark outside, your eyes are stinging from lack of blinking and you have to do your chores quietly, in the middle of the night.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Extremely simplistic game, not unlike what you'd find in the good old browser / flash games, but It's amusing enough until the excessive repetition kicks in. • The very buggy and unreliable AI, seemingly a staple of the Kingdom franchise, makes a comeback of course. It really does make me wonder what the devs do when developing these games considering how simplistic they are and how much asset reuse there is. A couple standouts among the general clunk: - There's a mechanic where a stray dog…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →★★★★★ After 500+ hours, I can honestly say that Kingdom Two Crowns is one of my favorite games of all time. I've been coming back to it for years, and it never gets old. Every DLC is fantastic in its own way and adds something special to the experience. The atmosphere, music, art style, exploration, and gameplay all come together perfectly. It's the perfect game when you want to relax, especially in co-op. Few games have kept me entertained for this long while still making me excited to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is truly a fun game but as others have noted, there is a game breaking constant loading bug that pops up and it finally hit mine. After 20ish hours of work now I would have to start all over to continue.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game probably doesn't need another positive review, but here I go anyway. It is simple and repetitive. Some mechanics are completely unclear unless you just try stuff, and some mechanics are unclear even if you try stuff or try stuff at a wrong time. I wasn't sure how some things work until I've read it in a guide (when I was just looking for an easier way to customize your heraldry). You can't really lose, not for good anyway. But none of it matters, it's a joy to play. I'm in my 3rd…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love Kingdom Two Crowns and I have had hours of mostly chill fun with this. The DLC's and challenge modes offer beautiful twists and aesthetics to the game. Every version of the game, from the original all the way to Call of Olympus, offers different mechanics, puzzles, mounts, and Greed varieties to discover. Call of Olympus really impressed me, and playing each DLC up to Call of Olympus really let me see how the dev team incrementally implemented different aspects of the gameplay into a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. Some suggestions: (1) Add a difficulty scaling option. Once mid game is reached the game becomes really easy. (2) More enemy siege units types (like long range units), at the moment greeds just smash their heads into the wall. (3) Give more control on which towers should be manned. When a wall falls the inner towers have no defenders since they all died on the frontlines. (4) There should be unique units (like an engineer hermit) that allows us to build a wall or a tower anywhere…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kingdom Two Crowns is the kind of game I expected to get bored of, but never did. It's quite specific. It's a mixture of three styles: Roguelike games, resource management, and tower defense. It's a weird combination, but it works superbly well. It's been described as 'feast or famine', which is about right, as you will either be managing a successful kingdom or fighting for your very survival. But the game never punishes you. You punish yourself, via your poor planning or sub-par resource…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →💬Let’s upgrade our monarch’s crown,’ they said. ’It’ll make things easier,’ they said. Cue Greed invasion. 🎮It's hard to believe Kingdom Two Crowns is not a platformer, let alone an action game. The side-view camera isn't reserved for strategy games, and the game under review easily qualifies as such. For those familiar with the previous installments in the Kingdom series, Classic and New Lands, this is rather obvious, but those eager to pick up Kingdom Two Crowns may be in for a surprise.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GAME 👑 A pixel art addiction (that explains absolutely nothing) Kingdom Two Crowns looks like a walk in the park, but behind its peaceful atmosphere lies a pretty tough survival strategy game. It relies on very few button inputs, offers zero tutorial, and leaves you to figure everything out on your own. Here are the essential tips from one player to another. ◆ The Objective: Repair the Boat and Free the Islands Your main goal is to travel across 5 islands to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After clearing third island I can't play this anymore, it's too repetitive, everything takes forever and some mechanics are quite frustrating. The basic concept is nice and simple but many other things is not explained at all and one should read a manual to grasp what's happening. I feel like I'm working, not having fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →idk man, its cookie clicker. No tower defense in sight, decision space is microscopic

There's nothing I can praise this game for that other reviewers haven't done so already, but, I DO feel the need to disagree with one of the negative reviews I've seen, that almost prevented me from purchasing this game. It claimed that DLC is shoved down your throat, and that you need to login/provide your email to their services to enable Steam's cloud save features. After playing, I inherently disagree. The…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After having finished Olympus and Norse Lands, I would say I am in a position to write a review. And to put it simply, Kingdom Two Crowns is one of my favourite easy-going 2-button indie pixel-art builders. I think you can call it like this. In 2026, the series is a classic and worth every penny. Make sure to get all of the DLCs as well. Maybe start with Olympus, which is the latest DLC and offers the most sophisticated gameplay. The idea behind the series is so simple and genius. Yes, I am…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Started up Kingdom: Two Crowns which has been sitting unplayed on my Switch for quite a while. Oddly addicting game. Wish the start was a bit quicker but once you get into to chill vibe it hypnotizes you lol. Beautiful art direction is probably a big reason. #Blutoid #VideoGames 🎮 #Gaming
unlabelledView post →My only problem with this otherwise charming, pretty chill game, is that I wish that they would do more with it. Not a lot has changed across versions beyond some basic tweaks to the formula and even the more structured Olympian campaign didn't change things wildly. Would just be nice to have more of the game to play.

Each DLC is just a reskin with a new coat of paint. However, the problems that plague the original base game, still exist in the following DLCS. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have a love/hate relationship with this game. It's easily one of my favorites both as a solo and multiplayer experience (it is much easier playing with a friend) but it is a flawed title that can lead to situations of failure that feel preventable. Kingdom: Two Crowns is the third entry in the Kingdom series but really it's basically a beefed up two-player version of the first two so you can start here especially since it's the only version that's still receiving content updates of which…

unlabelledView post →So I don't know how this round up on my list, as I don't typically play Tower defense or co-op for that matter. It is arguably an excellent iteration of that concept, or both of them. The pixelation in the background is rich, and although there is no true speech there are character interactions like little salutes and movements that indicate how a character or towns person is feeling. If there is an overarching plot beyond building a world against something called greed with the nominal goal of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kingdom Two Crowns is an absolutely beautiful game that I feel everyone should try. The atmosphere is amazing, and the true sense of discovery is uncontested. My best experience came from treating the game like an unfolding story, not being too concerned about mastery or loss. If you go in blind, you will stumble and it will cost you, but in a way that feel authentic to the experience, rather than frustrating. But if mastery of the game is your goal, then there is plenty of depth, challenge…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have been unable to open the game for nearly a year, despite putting more effort into it than I would put into any other game, including reaching out to support and prompting every couple of months to try and get a response or help from the devs(After trying everything else). With that in mind, I would still highly recommend it. I played every day for a while, and probably would have continued to do so. It's a supremely cozy game that is amazing with a friend. There's enough work to do that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the best game in the franchise, however there are many improvements there are still many gripes. The hermit hides and the interaction sometimes he gets priority and you waste a coin. Then he hops off the horse when he wants and it's always the worst timing. He gets kidnapped. Builders build when we are being attacked. Say the new wall finishes when the moon comes, and then the units move toward the wall as it is being demolished by the greed. It is so frustrating beyond relief. I love…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nice pixel art, nice simple controls (it just uses left, right, the a button for resource management, and a sprint button). its a nice easy cozy game that doesnt require lots of quick reflex button pressing. altho i did use cheats to give myself stamina and super sprint, since the mounts seemed annoying to use otherwise. if i can ever get the dlcs for cheap, i'd like to try them.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everyone blame @cassterix.bsky.social who's got me rehooked on Kingdom: Two Crowns 👑 Inject this game into my veins, the grip it has 😌
unlabelledView post →Barely explains anything. If you die you'll get sent back to island 1 which will have long-since decayed and you'll basically get stuck rebuilding for 40+ minutes before you can get back to where you were at. Game has zero respect for the player's time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →**Not for those who value their time.** The core gameplay is basically walking left to right, waiting, walking some more, and waiting again. There is a *lot* of downtime, and unfortunately there is no speed-up button. This is something it shares with Bad North, which I actually had a fairly pleasant experience with, and that was a big reason I decided to give this one a try. I was so disappointed. But man, the lack of a 2x or 3x speed option really hurts here. Sit. Wait. Walk. Wait some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun chill game but unfortunately just not for me. Game is incredibly repetitive and very slow going. If slow and relaxing games are your thing, look into getting while on sale as the $20USD price tag is just too much in my opinion. UPDATE: After a few more hours of gameplay, I have lost my campaign due to what I assume to be a bug spawning what I assume to be a boss wave INSIDE my kingdom and killing me within ~3 seconds of starting the game before the screen even faded into gameplay. I will…
