Having spent so many hours playing this game, I felt like it was about time I wrote a review. I'm always interested in games which you can play from the 'opposite point of view'. Games like Evil Genius, or Stubbs the Zombie, or Dungeon Keeper, where you can take on the role of the traditional 'bad guy'. This game lets you take control of a city wrecking Kaiju in your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Introduction Kaiju-A-GoGo is a game where you take your Kaiju (Giant Robot Monster) to destroy different cities around the world and take their resources to upgrade your Kaiju/base. I am not going to lie and say that this game is perfect. Actually, it has plenty of problems, but the fun gameplay and the potential Kaiju-A-GoGo has greatly improves this games “awesomeness”. At times Kaiju-A-GoGo is very grindy and the base building has some glaring problems with it, but since it is…

Indeed the game was in a rough shape on the launch, with crashes and bugs, but it's perfectly fine right now and being updated with frequency! The devs are very attentive and quick to act about any problems that show up! From the creators of a marvelous game that I love too (Swords of the Stars: The Pit), this gem is perfect for those who…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great potential but the difficulty kills it. For perspective, I beat Xcom Terror from the Deep and that is a challenging, but fun game. I found this game difficulty to be unfair. Examples of this include spawning in cities surrounded by enemies that force me to run immediately or when in the process of running have numerous enemies spawn around me that drop my health to zero quickly. I get that enemies need to spawn in the city but having over a dozen laser tanks suddenly appear in my…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →X-COM like base management, but instead of squads, you send out a giant monster to punch cities in the face in real time. But don't expect the people of Earth to lay down, as you grow in power, so does their military prowess. So what might have been machine guns and local police, will soon become laser tanks and bombers and even worse. It's a lot of fun, it's cheap, and there's really no other game like it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This seems to have basically entered the realm of Abandon-Ware. There's been no updates in a very long time and the last thing they foisted out was a DLC Monster with an ability that crashes the game. You can check the bug section and see that somebody posted about the problem back in December, and there has been no fix yet six months later. So far as I can tell they haven't even acknowledged it. All indications are that they have abandoned this game completely and moved on to other projects so…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm going to keep on playing this a bit more and edit this as needed, but here's my current feel for the game. It needs ...more... They have a good game foundation built (other than some bugs that can be annoying but not game breaking), but I can see it getting old fairly fast. After a bunch of runs in to destroy cities, usually about 3-4 per city so far to conquer it all the way, it does gets a little old hat doing the same routine each time. Especially the early game. Stomping around in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Prior to the recent popularity of crowdunded games, this game is what a publisher would call "a loser". Many of us who grew up in the games world of the late 80's and 90's miss the days when a neat concept game would hit the shelves and surprise with something new. For the decade prior, a new game was the latest FPS, RPG or MMO whos distinguishing feature would be how much sharper the graphics are THIS time. Far from perfect, but a lot of fun, Kaiju-A-GoGo is essentially a unique strategy and…

It is a subgenre of tokusatsu (special effects-based) entertainment." (Source: Wikipedia) Kaiju-A-GoGo is an action strategy game made by Kerberos Productions (Sword of the Stars: The Pit). negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I was younger. I played a game with my brother. It was called Rampage. I have fond memories of that game, smashing buildings and general chaos. Alas I grew up and those games seemingly have been forgotten by time. This genre needs to make a come back and Kaiju-A-GoGo may be the start of it. The goal is simple, world domination. Is it easy? No. Is it fun? Yes. Is it repetitious? Sadly, yes. Kaiju-A-GoGo is a sound video game on paper. Kaiju attacks city, gets resources, takes said…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome strategy game! I really enjoyed stomping the crap out of cities with my own kaiju. In this you can do just that with plenty of powers and stuff to unlock. Everything is destructible and the art style is neat. It's a great game for killing time while killing entire cities!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The concept is quite interesting, but the game was abandoned way before it reached an acceptable level of polish and content. By now Kerberos has established a habit of abandoning games (check Sword of the Stars 2), this shouldn't be encouraged.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lets get the bad things out of the way so we can get to the fun stuff. 1) There are some glitches, a few maps have terraquatic battleships for instance. 2) It can be a little bit difficult to auto target aircraft. That's it. Seriously, that's all I can complain about. The first thing is actually hilarious to watch in action, and the second is easily solved by manually right clicking on an enemy and using an ability. So the good stuff: This game is hilarious. You get to play a Kaiju, an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What is this game about? Destroying all! Switching between evil lair management and rampage destruction, fun varies a lot, but it's still a fun little game to kill time... You have lots of active and passive skills to learn and use in battle, and you get one of the 3 amongst a beast, a dinobot or a plant. Lots of fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A deceptively simple interface (point and click to devastate everything in your path, half a dozen hotkeys to unleash nuclear fires, deathrays or other monstrocities of super-science) hides a steady stream of tactical decisions. Chase down those fleeing civilians to crush your enemies will to resist your power? Crush that annoying APC that's been plinking away at your health all the way through suburban Seattle? Chase down that helicopter that keeps buzzing you and watch it crash into an office…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredibly fun, exactly how a 'kaiju' game should be. It starts very slow, and may seem abit boring, but eventually you'll be dropping tac nukes, calling in drones, and generally obliterating huge areas in true 'kaiju' style, eventually when the other two kaiju get released there'll be more options, but even for now we have a huge variety in a single character. Just thinking about what I have unlocked in my current game is quite significant, 3 tier 1 abilities, followed by 9 out of 9 tier 2,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is just good fun. It's very, very hard to resist the urge to laugh evilly when you start playing this game. There's something utterly satisfying about being a savage destruction monster (and the evil genius who built it). Smash buildings, stomp on fleeing civilians, crush infantry, vomit plasma on jeeps, shoot down helicopters with laser eyes, dodge bombs dropped by bombers, shoot death rays at tanks...and revel in the glory when yet another city capitulates to your might. It's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game had soooo much wasted potential. At first glance, a strategy game where you pit one giant monster against the whole world sounds rad as hell, but game-breaking glitches and excruciatingly slow monster training sessions both work together to make this game a no-buy. The game-breaking glitches are just that -- make it impossible to finish the game. Myself and others have noticed that attempting to enter some of the larger cities will result in the game simply crashing, and you must…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great game in the spirit of King of Monsters and others of that genre of which there are few too many - aka stomping around like Godzilla murdering cities. It does have some balance issues and other minor quibbles (I feel like there are far too many active abilities for example) but the gameplay is good, the Halloween skins are cool (really enjoying my pumpkin shrubby). The Developers are active on the Steam forums. Pros: + Gameplay is good, it can be a little frustrating trying to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thus far, I've been having quite an enjoyable time with this game. One of the main reasons I first became interested was due to the look. Immediately I was struck by how similar it was to an old game I enjoyed (also a monster destroying the city type game), The Movie Monster Game (C64). the only difference being you directly controlled the monster in the C64 title, while in Kiaju-A-Go Go you have basic control over direction and what building to attack, but not true direct 1:1 control.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm really loving this kind of game. It's has an x-com styled strategy map with a completely new kind of game during battles. Your Kaiju really feels like it should; It smashes a path towards its destination, it'll completely miss aircrafts with its missiles causing a portion of the city to go up in smoke. There will be moments in the game where the entire map is just in flames. It won't happen often but when it happens it's awesome

Congrats, here you go! Concept wise, this game is cool. In fact I like it a bit more than other games by the company. The RPG aspects, while grindy are pretty neat. The monsters are diverse and each play's very differently. As you conquer cities, you start to feel like a serious threat, as you gain abilities that destroy whole city blocks, the kaiju…

I honestly think that there is a good game here ONCE, and only ONCE, you've built up enough resources in game to get the Advanced Training Center up and running. You see, after those first three upgrades you can get with the Basic you are stuck. You will not have the power to take out any city without lots of time wasting back and forth and you can't build that ATC without…

The concept of this game is really great , and I got so excited by the demo video that I didn't even bother to check that the game does not support a controller. I would have been a big hint for what I consider to be the game worst problem: the battle system. The battles are extremely disapointing , as all you do is click on the direction you want your Kaiju to go , and it automatically destroys everything on its path to the way point. There are ranged…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The idea of this game is pretty cool - be a mad scientist, build a giant monster, use it to smash cities, profit. The execution though is pretty meh. The base building is thin, smashing the cities isn't as fun as is should be, though it definately takes a good bit of strategy, grinding up the right abilities, etc. It plays more like a mobile game than a pc one, basic graphics, basic gameplay revolving largely around grinding. I can see it being a game you can lose hours in, grinding your kaiju…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL DR version; About as good as Super Godzilla on the snes, except a hell of a lot more grindier. I played this through all the way to the finish for a very underwhelming game ending. There weren't even any credits! I dug around in the files and found some cool unused music in the soundtrack which left me dissappointed as it would of made the end game sound a lot more fun. Especially when you start to actually fight things that are your size (which is both boring and a bit more tedious…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, why negative review? First you can spend a minute and check "most helpful positive" ones, they all were written at 2015 right after release of this "game". Me personally was impressed by devs' previous title (The Pit) so I bought this one without hesitation. The concept seemed nice, the gameplay at start was nice too. And that's it. After initial couple of hours the game turns repetitive as hell and its main aspect is grind. Also after few starting maps-cities the game features the SUDDEN…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good fun for the first couple of hours, but once you've tired of attacking the same cities with the same incremental improvement each time it's clear just how shallow this game really is. I also have to question just how fair the game is to the player when your secret base is eventually discovered and attacked. Even when cheating in an attempt to squeeze more replayability from this game (by giving myself infinite resources) I was shocked to find my top-tier base defences completely…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's something special about guiding a mechanical monster through a city, setting fire to whole neighbourhoods and reducing landmarks to rubble. Especially in your hometown. The premise of the game is pure over-the-top grandeur, and conveyed comic-book style with tongue-deeply-planted-in-cheek. You are a socially-challenged scientist with a secret island facility, where resides your ultimate robotic creation, basically Heavy Metal Godzilla. Your goal is to demoralize the citizens of the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is entertaining and I could forgive the bad controls, but there are serious technical issue that plague this game. I can barely make two attacks without the game to crash, making the whole experience terrible. I do not recommend this game. After the crashes are fixed the review will change, but for now it is crash simulator 2016.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is something about this game that is instantly addicting, satisfying, and actually fun. If you enjoy just wrecking stuff with a giant monster this is the only game to play. Also who can say no to Eye lasers that can deep fry tanks, helicopters, and everything else? It does need a few fixs, some bugs like patrol boats gliding around on solid…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →F*** Yeah. This game has a lot going for it. There is something primal and satisfying about laying the smack down on an entire city and watching it react to your engine of destruction. This game is a great buy as is, but with an active dev tweaking the game on a regular basis, Kaiju-A-GoGo is going well on the path to being an epic standalone in a genre I will coin S.O.S. or strategic overlord simulator. This is an early access review...yada yada yada, followed by yada. Interface Currently…

It's riddled with balancing and bug issues, including outright progression-ending crash bugs and memory leaks. The system specifications quoted provided on the Store page are an outright lie - you will need at least twice as much RAM as stated to avoid getting out-of-memory issues when more than 3 enemy super-units share a map with you; as they will on most Tier-4 and all Tier-5 cities. On the forum you can find information that company is now involved in some other project.. So game had great potential but from my perspective, developers lost interest after ppl purchased it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is Rampage! the RPG. Maybe a touch repetitive, and base building isn't explained all that well which can lead to a stalemate in the mid to late game. If you like shooting radiation beams out of your eyes and squashing fleeing civilians (and who doesn't) it is quite enjoyable, just don't expect all that much of a challenge once you figure out how the game systems work.

You have multiple currencies (cash, fuel, flesh, purple stuff, tech) with which you have to buld a secret base...balancing production and storage of EVERYTHING with defense measures.
