50 of 50 · most liked firstIntroduction Jet Set Knights is an old-school, arcade action platformer which is currently available through Steam Early Access and is developed by FobTi Interactive. You’re a knight (well duh) and as a knight it is your job to free the realm from evil! Over the course of six different levels you’ll take on several different kinds of enemies as well as a boss fight for each level. The levels are small and often have environmental dangers meaning enemies aren’t the only things you need to be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NOTE: While you may see my name on the 'Thank you' screen in the credits, or you may see an item, or an achievement with my name in it, I am not an employee of FobTi Interactive. I have just been friendly with the developer Tibor since he made Obludia, and he has thanked me for the support by making items, or achievements named after me in the game. :) That said, I am a bit more friendly with the developer than most of the players that will buy this game so I will try to be more critical of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Local multiplayer fun, reminding me of a) cool Amiga platformers from the 90s b) Towerfall Ascension Both are positive things to think of. Still early access, but seems to run fine for me (Windows 8.1). XBox 360 controller supported. Difficulty level: high (in single player). I died a lot. Fun level in 4 player mode: extremely high. Recommended for 4 players + 1 large TV gaming fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Incrase Maximum HP" pretty much sums up the game. They didn't put in enough effort or competency to polish this game at all. Bugs everywhere, no in-game explanation as to what you are doing. Somewhat misleading in the description. Extremely short on content, I beat all the bosses in 30 minutes. Very easy game that gets boring quickly. Anyway, tower defense game with no strategy. Says Survival but more of a Tower Defense. If the maiden at the bottom gets hit it's game over. Took me a while to…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not only can you not redefine the keys but the game doesn't tell you what they are AND 'z' is used to select menu items instead of LMB, enter or space. Game designers really need to get their **** together.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If at first you don’t succeed then try, try again. This is one of the many lessons that FobTi Interactive have learned from their debut Steam game, Obludia, which received only mixed reviews. Jet Set Knights marks their second attempt on Steam and thus far I have nothing but good things to say about it. Thus far Steamified have been fortunate, to the point of being blessed, to have been able to cover some of the best games in Steam’s early access program. More often than not these have been…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really well done retro game, and that is a underwhelming statement. The creator was absolutely aware of his design choices and implemented them in a really professional style. The art & design is in line with 8 to 16bit legends. On the other hand, the gameplay was extended in many ways modern games offer. The game itself is a mix of super Mario Bros. the original arcade game, and classic jump and runners. Simple, but fun. 9/10. (not a 10, this would require the implementation of a online…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I totally like what I see so far with Jet Set Knights, I'd highly encourage you to wait to purchase until there is more content. What content is there right now is really awesome, though. The game is very similar to Super Crate Box and the original single-screen Mario Bros.. What makes this wayyy more awesome is that there is going to be four player local involved. Hopefully soon, too. Pros: +Its difficult, in a good way +Artwork and sound is really good +There are multiple levels, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish I could give this a thumbs up. There is a major problem with the collision detection where you can be hit by objects that are nowhere near you. I am tired of dying this way, and playing this simple game has become a complete chore as a result. If they fixed the wonky hitbox/collision problem I would happily recommend but I just can't. If you see my play time more than an hour it's because I'm card idling.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Picture this: you're scooping up items and power-ups, suddenly finding yourself as the chief architect of defenses and towers, constructing a quirky garden to shield a "princess" chilling at the bottom. And after bravely tackling waves of enemies, who barges in? The boss! It's like staring down a colossal rubber chicken post-surviving a pillow fight. Oh, and your hero isn't stuck in a loop either. They're leveling up, beefing up stats like they're gearing up for a comedy marathon. Take my word…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another game for my 'Co-Op with son favorites'. Even though it's in Early Access, it already offers a lot of fun for two. The game is basically the Towerfall with a twist: has base defense aspect (protect the princess, build a wall) and interesting skill progression and pickup items. The only thing I don't like is that you can't revive or get back (after level complete) fallen mate - it's not fun playing alone, so having a revival would satisfy my cravings for slightly less difficult Towerfall.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Towerfall Ascention, except 2 play instead of 4 but the trade-off is that you get character progression.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: -Awesome Art -Great Music -Fun twist on a classic genre -Replayable if you don't get frustrated and give up (much like a rogue lite) Cons: -Have to learn controls on the fly -Only a few maps -Maps don't differ too much other than themes -REALLY hard to get coins from maps and treasure from gambling hard This game has proven to be undeniably difficult, but in no way does that retract from the enjoyment of playability. The creator has set the date of release to 1-2 months, but as it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have had lots of fun playing this in co-op mode with my daughter. It is perfect as a co-op game although I hate being yelled at. I am always on the look out for fun co-op games and this definitely gets a big tick from me. The graphics are great like all of the developers games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didn't care much about Towerfall Ascension but this one i play (?) I suppose it's because the game is well made for short sessions when you got an extra 15+ minutes to spare. Not sure about the 9.99e price though but if you can get this on a sale it can be a surprisingly good time waster or a more serious game to dig into if you are into that. Of course it's no competitor for TA but it shares many of it's genes and re-arranges them well for a quick romp in a one room dungeon defending the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Look out princess there's a _ ugh dang she gone It's game over when an enemy so much as touches her sprite. Well that's how my first 2 hours were like till I got the hang of protecting my maiden. You gotta remember this is a tower defense or should I say princess defense. You'll be running around the stage collecting chests that contain arrows, wood or metal blocks to build blockades and turrets. All the while, enemies will be streaming out of 2 portals over head slowly clambering down to you.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[Please note that this game was provided to me free of cost to review.] https://youtu.be/qGge-L9RrHY Jet Set Knights is a 2D arcade platformer with retro pixel graphics. It is developed and produced by FobTi Interactive and is currently in early access. Your goal in the missions is to survive waves of enemies while collecting treasure chests to unlock more weapons. There are seemingly random quests that are given in each level that provide a token upon completion to use at the slot machine…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →meh, don't see why you play this in 2020
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tags: Casual - Twitch & Arcade Note: Steam Refund TLDR: This is similar to the original Mario Bros/Donkey Kong game. Simple platforms. Simple foes. But adds tower defense, and some zelda-like rpg elements such as hearts. The jump animation is a bit too exagerated and some attack animations are annoying in their implementation but at least they behave always the same way in a predictable manner and the arenas are small and simple. Matches are often short lived and you are often funnelled in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a pretty fun game to kill five or ten minutes with. The promo video showcases the basic gameplay, which doesn't change dramatically, like a classic arcade platformer. A couple of levels and a couple of characters keep things lively and interesting!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very good game already and has lots of potential to become awesome. The game is actively improved on (look at the game's news) The dev does a good job and reads what players say (: -------------------- TL;DR; Below is a list of ALREADY FIXED stuff I mentioned in my reviews 1st version. Again, ALREADY FIXED ;) * PLEASE(!!!!) pause the game while any pop-ups is taking sight OR player-controll is disabled. This makes the game's first hour really frustrating. I lost a lot of healtch…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seriously underrated. Arcade to the bone and plays great on a cabinet.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall, a diamond in the rough that is definitely worth your time if you like this style of classic arcade games. The controls are very well tuned and the challenge is decent. PROS: + Simply, a ton of fun (although there is room for improvement... which leads me to the next point). + The dev seems great. They are responsive and seem to be continuing to fine tune and expand things. NEUTRAL: / At first it can be a bit difficult to see what's going on and learn the various ways you can die.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love it! As a fan of Super Crate Box, you'll feel right at home here. I like building walls to prevent enemies from getting to your princess, and the various weapons and state upgrades you get within a run. Great little game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is,, for such a dilapidated monkey as me as hard as it gets but the gameplay is smooth and DELIGHTFUL!!!. Broken MATT HARDY and BTOERH NERO would certainly endorse this creation. I've had that PREMONITION.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a bit different from what I expected and no there's no online multiplayer but just local, kinda bummed about that
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an odd hybrid. It looks, sounds and plays (superficially) like an 80's platformer. It really nails the retro look and feel, better than many more popular games that aim to achieve the same thing. But the game itself is really a tower defense game, just rendered as a 2D platformer. I think it all comes together well. Deserves more love than it's received so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its honestly horrible when you go up through a platform and expect to beable to go back down you are left dissapointing and it feels a bit too much liek yo uare a rock with the gravity in this game and seeing as the main way of attack is jumping on enemies for a 1 hit kill and soem 3 hit or shoot a crap ton of arrows and hope of hitting or cut em a bunch with a sword. It may just be that this is just not the game for m. Im a bit used to being floaty .
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a lot of content right now but the game is fun just hard in its current state since I can't even beat the first boss.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mario-like. In a good sense, I mean.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →awesome single screen platformer, perfect for 2 players
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like arcadey games, like I do, then this game is perfect for you. I had a great time playing and will probably keep coming back to beat my hi-scores. Fun power-ups and fun bosses. Overall a very fun experience. Only not so fun thing is that some on some levels, the platform placement is a little bit annoying for that great flow of movement, or maybe I'm playing it wrong.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the mood and the concept of this game, also it supports co-op so is a good fit to play with my wife. I can't ask for more, really.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun, maybe add some scrolling platformer levels?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →an unexpectedly great retro style arcade game. similar to the original mario bros but with a whole lot more going on. sadly, no plumbers.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple arcady fun. I liked it! Them 16bit sound effects are choice :) Get it on discount, its worth it when its a cheapy. FUN!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool little arcade style game. Similar to Mario Bros. but with more depth.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Challenging, addicting and fun! Blends together tons of old games and has the option to make it look like an old arcade screen!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best platformer I've played in years! Was pretty surprised to be honest. I purchased first becaues it was only a couple of quid, and the graphics looks splendid, but the game had me 1.3 hours first QUICK go, when I had stuff to do. It's like discovering a new Bubble Bobble type Mame game. Totally worth more than the sale price!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is awesome and I hope the devs continue to add stuff to it! It definitely has a lot of potential.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Caught this game on sale for 60% off and was worth every penny. Well-made, lots of replay value, and is tons of fun. I found myself wishing this were a fullscale game. If you've got a few dollars extra and want to enjoy something different, I'd recommend picking this up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really cute game. I think I would enjoy it more if we could use the money we get for a bit more. It would make the game seem a little less repetitive. (Which isn't bad, because I LIKE THIS GAME.)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great! Great music, addicting gameplay loop, stuff to collect. Simple but awesome!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great fun and addictive. Good mix of modern and retro feel ...cant wait to play multiplayer with my nephew. Prob if youre a fan of tower fall, youll like this. also a bit of super crate box. too :) Buy it! :)

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing. Launched it a few times and they just keep updating it with new stuff.
