unlabelledView post →Great game night! Elysium, Bomb Bisters, Isle of Skye, and Subjective were all really fun and it was an interesting mix of lighter games.
unlabelledView post →Nucleum and Isle of Skye made an awesome game session today.
unlabelledView post →First play of Isle of Skye. I also did badly in this game 🤣 #boardgames
unlabelledView post →Roughing out a new building for my game based on the Isle of Skye. Wouldn't be complete without a distillery! I think this one is going to start out occupied by gnomes and one of the quests will be to clear them out and get it running again... #gamedev #indiedev #godot #blender
unlabelledView post →It's #PitchYaGame time. My [Untitled] adventure game is about travelling between worlds via mirrors and is set on an island loosely based on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. It's got Clyde Puffer boats, distilleries, and mischievous Fae to contend with.
unlabelledView post →Day 2 of #SpielMas is Isle of Skye from Mayfair Games & Lookout Games 🐑🌊 Tile placement, players set tile prices, new scoring goal combo each round. A bit like Carcassonne but building your own map & buying each tile. One of the first hobby games added to our collection. Still fun 10+ years later!
unlabelledView post →This was game night. Tower Up is a new OG game, recommended! Mandala has become a permanent favorite. Hues & Cues surprisingly fun, but wants more than 3 players (plays up to 10!). Whereas Isle of Skye was better with that smaller number (I’m still lukewarm on it, tho—a pain to look across table).
unlabelledView post →It was comfort food at game night last night. Isle of Skye, Knarr, and Space Explorers. Three of my all time favorites. #BoardGames
unlabelledView post →Isle of Skye. Won by tiebreaker! I was "in the lead" for the whole game from regular round scoring, so the others were getting more bonus money - but I had a lot of passive income in my tableau to keep up. The person who tied with me did it by surrounding end-game scroll scoring conditions.
unlabelledView post →I've always enjoyed a good Pfister, but I hadn't ever tried Isle of Skye. I feel like I might not have pegged it as a Pfister game if it wasn't written, though. It feels like an upgraded Carcassonne + auction. I think I prefer my favs, Oh My Goods & GWT styled Pfisters. #boardgames #boardgamesky
unlabelledView post →Isle of Skye. Tile placement game where you put up tiles for sale. You set the price; if nobody buys it, you buy it. Very cool mechanic, but otherwise the game plays like most tile placement games with a variety of scoring conditions. ⭐⭐⭐
unlabelledView post →On the off-chance that you don't know this, Isle of Skye is also a tile placement board game that's rather a lot of fun.

unlabelledView post →3) Isle of Skye; "I cut you choose" is a super-interactive play mechanic, and this game has lots of strategy and play-to-play variance without being super-long or dense
unlabelledView post →There are so many better boardgames. There’s been a revolution over the last 40 years or so: Stone Age, Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, Isle of Skye, Wingspan, Pandemic… This site covers them all. However much time you have, however weighty you want a game, it’s got you covered.

unlabelledView post →Victorian Market, Inverness #Scotland Anyone can get Isle of Skye tartan keychains or wooden ornaments. But *I* found a Still Game coaster that said "Two Pints, Prick!" and was absolutely delighted.
unlabelledView post →So, what #boardgames did you play over the Thanksgiving (US) weekend? The wife and I played: Harmonies 7 Wonders Duel Isle of Skye w/ Druids expansion Ticket to Ride: The Card Game Railroad Ink Dorf Romantik: Sakura
unlabelledView post →I also got to play Isle of Skye this weekend. We finished within 7 points of each other ina 5p game. very close. the table behind us was playing Dungeon Petz and so we kept hearing about their poop maintenance issues.
unlabelledView post →Offering fees for other players' dice feels like a mechanic that is yearning for a game that fully exploits it. Isle of Skye & Castles of Mad King Ludwig both let you set prices & run little markets, but this is different because you make offers not knowing what dice will be available.
unlabelledView post →Gonna miss the cup game, unless it’s moved to 9th, driving to Isle of Skye on 10th
unlabelledView post →Next game, Isle of Skye! guest starring a bag of awesome dark chocolate kitkats
unlabelledView post →I am not really a BG Player, so Isle of Skye was my first Lookout game. Love it so much. And Forrest Shuffle of course
unlabelledView post →Isle of Skye is one of my favourite board games. I love how the tactics change with each game due to some very different scoring methods. #boardgames
unlabelledView post →A most excellent game night! On the tables were The Wolves, Forbidden Desert, Daybreak, Challengers, Knarr, and Isle of Skye. Quality games all around. I was especially excited to play Daybreak at four players. I had only solo’ed it before tonight.
unlabelledView post →Was thinking wow, these look like the island in the Hebrides in the game Dear Esther and then I looked up where Isle of Skye is. 😆
unlabelledView post →There are definitely similarities for Isle of Skye. Clans of Caledonia is a different kind of game.
unlabelledView post →Suna Valo is maybe the perfect spouse-game (if you have a spouse that can handle a bunch of rules, but aren’t very fond of aggressive interaction). Happy merge of mechanisms and feel from 7 Wonders Duel, Deus and Isle of Skye. 2 player only and very, very cozy!
unlabelledView post →3 of 4 You could have a three hour game. Think American Football and their inordinate numbers of stoppages to eat hot-dogs the size of the Isle of Skye. Think of the amount of time the ball is in motion, compared to the Scottish Association game.
unlabelledView post →There isn't a game that triggers memories of a specific trip, but I do bring games on vacation for quiet time at our hotel. We played a bunch of Azul during this year's Japan trip. (Terrible placement pictured, by the way ... 😜). I did bring an Isle of Skye Shetland cow tile to said place, however.
unlabelledView post →It’s ridiculously huge with all the DLC that adds France, Ireland, The Isle of Skye, and Svarthalfheim. I can’t even remember if Asgard was part of the base game or if that was DLC too. Blurred lines around all the content.
unlabelledView post →The last 4 games I've played on pc - Isle of Skye, Cat Goes Fishing, Super Auto Pets & Carcassonne. Bonus: Viridi, a free succulent growing idle game.
unlabelledView post →Is there an Isle of Skye game??? Sounds intriguing
unlabelledView post →Game five Isle of Skye
unlabelledView post →29. Isle of Skye Remember that one game where you bid on bits to improve your area? I'm two drinks into my flight so neither do I, lol. Anyway, in Isle of Skye you set prices for others (or yourself) to buy tiles to add to your kingdom. Combo scoring objectives and build a handsome fief!
unlabelledView post →For auction games, Ra is definitely a great one to try, but for me the best game you'll likely find at PAXU is Isle of Skye! Bid on land tiles to score the most points at the end. The auction aspect is a little strange but easy enough to pick up!
unlabelledView post →Windmill Valley (1st time) - 126, 2nd of 4 - went windmill-heavy, almost worked - this is a good game with lots of moving pieces (literally) Just One - 9/13 - got some easy ones on my part Isle of Skye - 47 - 3rd of 5 - I'm not good at anticipating future rounds
unlabelledView post →Vikings is the first game that I bought because I was enjoying the online implementation of it so much. We ended up playing Wandering Towers, Isle of Skye, and Cat in the Box. All great games!
unlabelledView post →Great Western Trail is great! I really like Isle of Skye for a light medium gateway level game. one of my favorites to introduce people to the hobby with if we have 4 players.
unlabelledView post →I played a game of Isle of Skye recently, and that game is so, SO good. Carcassonne with a market for which you stock, simultaneous play, personal maps? It's SO smooth, and the twist to the formula only makes the game intriguing, not rules heavy. So. Good.

unlabelledView post →Had fun playing Isle of Skye tonight, during our bi-weekly gaming night. And short enough to fit in two games.
unlabelledView post →I just read this article about Scottish culture in board games: bylines.scot/lifestyle/cl... I get their (valid!) point about stereotypes, but they also claim that Isle of Skye is the only game with a Scottish theme in the BGG Top 2,000. What about Clans of Caledonia and Glen More II Chronicles?
unlabelledView post →Driving the single-lane road to Elgol on the Isle of Skye is like playing a game of high-speed chicken whilst blindfolded.
unlabelledView post →Your weekly “What #boardgames did you play this weekend?” post: We had a busy weekend, but we managed to get in games of Arboretum, Cartographers, and Isle of Skye.
