negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Im honestly so unsure what to say about this.. i liked the concept and some parts are good but the controls are not accurate and the game is buggy as hell.. i got stuck many times and the tutorial was really bad.. i spend 10 mins trying to work out what to do, your honestly better off just going into the game itself.. you can tell the devs worked hard on this game but there are so many things that need work. i also feel really sick after playing this because the game is laggy and the motion…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What do I say about this game? I don't even know. Hell i'm having difficulty trying to figure out whether it should be a thumbs up or a thumbs down. So I guess I'll give it a thumbs up just because I'm not returning it. Look the game has 3 strong points and 3 weak points: Strong Points -The Price is awesome, maybe a bit underpriced for everything you're getting here. -The games mechanics and overall gameplay are on point. Everything works well, feels appropriate and really helps to immerse…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can tell when a game has received a level of love and care in its development. ...I cannot tell that with this one. This game taught me how bundles are used (IMO) by publishers to offload and make what money they can on a game they must already know is/will be a poor seller. (Click on the Developer link and look at the games list, you'll see what I mean) Though the 1 game of my 2-game bundle is played for under 2 hours, there is no option to return the 1 game and refund the amount it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I played the game for the first time, I didn't quite manage to make a sword, and this was at the very beginning of the game during the tutorial! Watch a short gameplay session here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxnTxNcj5I8 You get text-based directions from a character standing in the room with you, but it's up to you to figure it out and find what you need to take the necessary steps. Anyway, I understand that we should not always get the porridge in our mouths, but it is also not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls are rather unprecise. Good idea, but average execution.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute trash. Tutorial is HORRENDOUS! Priced at 5.99 because it is junk and save our soul donation. This is POORLY developed, and after two setbacks from 2020, they still released a pile of sh*t, which if the producer was paying attention, should not have happened. Great idea... incompetently done. Feel bad for the producer, who is obviously trying to recover two years of payroll spent on these horrible developers. Below are some pretty HUGE reasons as why this is a enormous f*cking…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →okay so wow, i was very hyped for this game thinking it was a rough gem in its demo state however the game is still more like a lump of coal that has yet to do anything but dirty my hands. sadly its not fun, the tedious task of heating forging has made the crafting overshadowed by the dullness, the unfun mini games of hammering to the god awful pouring into the mold, all of which was very buggy, i had finally lost my patience when i tryed to pour a second time after realizing the molten ore…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →... technically this is my dream game. Love smithing in video games and it's a feature that automatically draws me in a game. When I saw "medieval simulator" I impulse purchased it. Right now it's at 0.90 $ (-90%) and even now, I cant recommend it. ´ It's an unfinished game that was made probably for a money grab, with free 3d assets and 3 weeks of code. There's like...4? different things you can do in the game, full of bugs and weird "stories" where the characters seem to be making fun of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute garbage...being sold as a full game - it's a prologue. This feels like nothing more than a con job. Run away from this as fast your legs will carry you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My little blacksmith shop. Buy that instead. This game shows every possible sign of being an abandoned project. Sad Really. I don't often return games I got on sale, but I'm getting my 3 bucks back.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"EDIT: This game is abandoned by the devs and wont receive some much needed fixes/improvements. How ever I have decided to leave my review as positive for the following reasons: 1. I dont want to deter/discourage other devs that attempt to make a game like this to feel there is no community for this. 2. Despite the game being a buggy mess here and there, I still had my fun with it 3. I still think you can have fun with the game if you can se past the issues and pick it up with a steep…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if you want an actually good blacksmithing simulator you can find 1 here. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2313270/Blightlands_Blacksmith/
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's terrible to see a dev give up on a game they worked so long on. Sure it had flaws, bugs, and a not so great launch but not every game is gonna have great launches and all. When I first saw this game on the store I wishlisted it and couldn't wait for it to come out. It had kinks and stuff to work out when I first played it but I wasn't gonna review until I saw that the dev just walked away from what could've been an amazing project. I'm sorry to give a Not Recommended review but if there's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tutorial is pretty limited for sure. Ive had this on my wish list for years waiting for a cool concept. Fell thru pretty bad. Its just a puzzle game with a couple interesting things to do. I got it on sale for 3.99 so i guess for what I got no skin off my back. I do hope its is overhauled but not holding my breath.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like games in the simulator genre. And to be honest, I was waiting for the release of this game. To say that I'm disappointed is to say nothing. The game lacks quality in all aspects. The graphics in it even on ultra looks very bad. REALLY BAD. The quests are raw, the controls are terrible and there is simply no interest in playing it. It could be a really high-quality and good project, but no. I was unlucky There are niche games for those who like something unusual. These are interesting…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a let down. DO NOT BUY THIS. I have reported this title twice already. After many years of release dates and pulling less then a day before many times over......they finally released a prologue 2yrs ago. 2yrs later they come out of the blue and release this under a guise that it had been developed since then. It wasn't. This was abandoned after the prologue and they just tried to cash out on the project. The game is a mess and clearly unfinished. They already admitted on discord that its…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is not finished. Very buggy and not a lot of direction given as to what to do. When directions are given they are all over the place. Sounded like a fun concept and the videos looked great but not well done at all. Stay away until it is finished.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to love this game but I can't. I have gotten to the executioner quest 3 times now and each time it kills my game (locks up) and I have to alt-f4 out. At that point, all my saves are corrupted and the game goes to 1 FPS. Cons: #1 - Save/Load doesn't work well - you will lose any quests you have grabbed except the story line #2 - Badly placed hammer targets - some of the areas you are supposed to hit to work the blade you have to "hunt" for - hitting the marked area doesn't…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wwll, it's fun, kinda. Let's explain a bit, I've been wanting this game for a LONG time it's been on my #1 wishlist for ages, however it isn't what I was expecting. Don't take this game seriously for real blacksmithing. I have done real blacksmithing for a few years and its not even close to what this game represents. It's a game, that has a story and some fun quests. That's it. Don't look for next gen anything. It's a relaxing take a break from reality fr a bit type game. I hope they add mod…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have waited a long time for this game. At it's current state I wish Steam had a "neutral" button. It's not bad by any means, but it is a mixed bag. As many others have stated, the tutorial is not the best, but with a bit of thinking you can figure out the mechanics pretty easy. Many have complained about the controls, but I think they are fine. The graphics are okay, the music is nice, but there are only some sound effects which doesn't help the immersion. The smithing itself is kinda…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are thinking of playing this game because you think it's an actual blacksmithing game, you're wrong. This game is not what the video advertisement makes it out to be. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!!!!! What little blacksmithing is in this game is crude and simple. It is a waste. So again, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS!!!!!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had high hopes for this game. I enjoyed fantasy blacksmith, despite it's bugs and flaws. I was hoping this would be a step up from that game, and in one aspects it was. The open world element, allowing you to walk around the towns you're working in, speaking to the people you're doing work for, is a nice touch. This game is worse in all other aspects. I lost about an hour of work at one point due to the game crashing and no autosave feature. And at one point I could not progress further…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is incredibly clunky, underdeveloped and a little bit on the ugly side. The main part of the game, the smithing, doesn't feel particularly satisfying or fun. The extra parts, the RPG stuff, is half voice acted but lots of environments are missing sound effects. It all feels like an overambitious project was worked on for a long time by devs that need a lot more practice. The nice thing is that it is cheap but I still wouldn't recommend it. https://youtu.be/wCsCJjV2Ugs
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandoned project.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its broken, bad and really ugly..... this is no where near early access and im holding steam accountable for allowing this crap on here in this state! i have heard better audio coming out of a Nokia 5110 then this ♥♥♥♥♥!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is not finished and there are some game breaking bugs once you get to the big town. Blank quests that point to nothing. Which means you cannot make money. Main Quest to make a weapon that you don't have parts for. Really bad economy. You can mine and make you own iron ingots, but it costs you 15 gold to make an ingot that you can buy for 5 gold. The devs have given up on the game so there won't be a patches either. Sadly I didn't get these game breaking bug until 4 hours of playing so…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Become a real master of iron! Be a blacksmith, not a dumb jock who spends time in the gym with a semblance of iron! Only with strong hands will you find a girlfriend and a job. Forge the iron!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →**UPDATE CREATOR ABANDONED THIS GAME! EVEN SAID IT IN THERE DISCORD!** old review down below I'm well....shocked to see how buggy this game is. I looked on the steam page and it dose not say its early access or anything. It feels like an alpha with all the visual glitches. The do have a solid feel of making a blade but that is only real thing they have. Story is flat, levels look awful in dozen places and most quests don't really matter if you make a blade well or fail at every step. Side…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[I got 5 hours under my belt and I reach the middle of the siege part at the moment of review] Well, this game really disappointed me, and as I double checked, it's not early access, so I will not be lenient. I'd say that this game couldn't be called simulation game. Even if you know next to nothing about metallurgy and smithing, you still gonna feel disappointed. Watching Forged in Fire is wayyyyy better at this point. [Graphic & Performance] Well, I do not expect much of the graphic since…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolut rubibish. Game is not pretty or well designed. But worst of all, the developer doesn't know how a sword is forged... in a game about sword forging.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is broken and no one is going to fix it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →you will need to watch youtube videos or learn by you self game doesnt teach you most of the things
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm sorry. I liked the idea. I thought it would have developed from the alpha. But alas. It's still misses the target. Today checking up how forging blades is made is not hard. But this... You. Do. Not. Cast. Blades. Not since the bronze age. And you do not place your anvil further from the furnace that you can just turn to start forging.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thought I'd give it a try. It's extremely janky, bland, boring and most detrimentally buggy. The last straw was when I got stuck some how in my shop. My legs would move but I was going nowhere... Saw in another review that that happened to them, so wasn't surprised when it happened. I gave it a shot, but it is a hard no. I'd recommend folks steer clear of it. Hopefully the refund goes through...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →some small bugs nothing super bad.. but fun for $10 I have spent more on a crapy movie.. who knows they might have some updates down the road to clean it up a bit. Good game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Googleplay store 0.1/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: nice concept, nice price Cons: Buggy as hell, the motion blur is killing your eye (you can't turn it off), and missing mechanics, mistypes, low quality sound records on the NPCs. The Developer abandoned the project, so no future updates for it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bugs omg What a total let down, DONT BUY IT.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is super unfinished! The graphics are alright but need some work, the floor in certain areas looks horribly low res even with maxed out settings, the animations are pretty bad and the "voice acting" is very low quality, sounds like one of those weird voice overs hacks for Mortal Kombat (if you know, you know). On the plus side though the actual core mechanic of smithing is well done, it's pretty relaxing to just melt and bonk metal and make the weapons themselves, although a bit slow…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was optimistic when I first got the game as I was really excited by the great concept the developers came up with as it's something I myself haven't seen before in the simulation genre. The pro's I can honestly say about this game are that the concept is brilliant and running my own medieval forge is a great idea and fun once you get into the process of forging the blades from melted ingots to smashing away with your hammer to shape it into what you need it to be. Also it has great potential…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →what a huge let down :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →worst mechanics in a game i've ever seen
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ironsmith Medieval Simulator, developed by The EpicLore and published by SIG Publishing, is a medieval crafting and life simulation game built around a compelling premise: step into the soot-covered boots of a blacksmith and forge your way to prosperity in a gritty medieval town. The concept is immediately appealing, especially for players who enjoy hands-on crafting systems and profession-focused simulators. Instead of commanding armies or ruling kingdoms, you take on a grounded, labor-driven…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Graphics are absolute ♥♥♥♥♥. Also Game Developers are no longer updating this game. so it will never get fixed in anyway. not worth the $1.14 i paid for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this could be a good game, if the dev gave it attention and "fixed" (replaced) half of the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate to give a bad review for some mechanics I have wanted to see in a game for a long time. Some have gotten close, but this one hits the nail on the head. The actual crafting in this game is amazing. If they had just left it at that, I probably would give this a thumbs up, bugs and all. If this game was released in early access, I would give it a thumbs up. However, the developers are silent. Are they done with the game, or will updates come? Who knows? What is here is very incomplete, or…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game needs some serous work on the ai along with the save system, a lot of the times when I log out my items get deleted... also its so hard to figure out how to buy things like bluprints without knowing were to go to get them... another negative is the fact you move towns like 3 times... I just wanna stay in one place. The only good thing is I guess its fun making swords in the game.. also fix the vr problem it shouldn't open steam vr every time I launch the game.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →sorry guy i wish i could give you a positive review but you gave me this game so i wont give a negative one. i feel the same way about this game than i feel about wish website, you see a beautifull picture and when it get home you open the package to realize that it is what you ordered but 10 time cheaper.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately, I don't enjoy writing reviews such as this. This has been on my Steam wishlist for a long time and when I saw that it was finally released on sale for only $5, I purchased it on the first day. I was in the midst of other stuff so had to wait until the next day to play it. To say that I was disappointed is a major understatement. First off (as of this review), no where does it state on the store page that this is early access. If it did and the devs stated that they were still…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got it for free and I am not impressed. Its basically same as every other sim game, poorly conceived, poorly constructed, not a lot else to say.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know what the fuss is about, it's 5 euro, it's fun, it has more content than a lot of 10x pricier games...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't generally leave reviews, but I have to say this is, unfortunately, a negative one. Great concept and was keen to try it out, but I failed two quests due to the bugs and couldn't complete another. I see what the devs were going for here, but a lot of work needs to be done to get there. Will be uninstalling, but hoping this gets the TLC it needs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game for like $.70 with a bundle...I LOVE simulators, and I really want ed this to be good because there aren't many good ones for blacksmithing. But this is literally unplayable! I tried the tutorial first. But i removed my sword mold from the spot and it wouldn't let me mount it back to finish the tutorial. Frustrated, I moved to the real game figuring I'd just ran into a bug and learned enough to start. But BAM another bug as I cannot chose making nails! That is the first…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible UI and UX. Game had potential, it just fails to make the user want to keep playing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game has a potential to be really good but the fact that it is underdeveloped left with multiple glitches such as when starting o conversation instead of getting a speech from npc you get a broken convo that wasn't created thus cant start mission. Getting paid is unbalanced, randomly getting stuck cant move. i hope developers come back to this game and refurbish it it was nice to play it even with glitches would be even better to play it with out
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good idea but poorly implemented. This is a bunch of minigames, this won't give you new experience. The best part of the game is its teaser.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →where is the dev?
