Players control one of an assortment of motor vehicles and drive across terrain in locations on most continents of the world, participating in off-road races or completing objectives in one of nine other game modes, such as Capture the… From Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0)

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a total perversion of the 1nSANE franchise. The original was a pioneer of off-road demo-derby racing that gave the player a feature-rich depth of control like having to customize your suspension and gear ratios to suit the environment and type of competition your next game would be in, and the procedual damage that would sometimes smash your car into a twisted mess- but perhaps just not enough to prevent you from limping across the finish-line for the win. This is more like mario…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The developers chose the perfect title for a good reason. Though, I have no idea about first game of the series , as the name says, Insane 2, so yeah, it must be a sequel. First thing, I love racing games because that rush my adrenaline when I just drive the cars. However, I am still not good in controls and winning a race. So, every other racing game comes with a difficulty adjustment settings, that I always tune down to rookie or easy or simple as eating a toffee. But if you really want to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The closest thing we will get to Motorstorm on PC! Great fun gameplay, loose drifty controls, physics are great and online is kick ass with friends. Boost till you blow up 10/10 will race again!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →bad sequel for the first 1nsane. almost unrelated. missing basic features like control options and camera view change. would not recommend
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Insane 2 is a racing game, where you have to go on terrain racing in different game modes. Some game modes like Jamboree or Greed has some good idea. Few music tracks of the game is fitting and likeable. You can play this game easily, either with controller or keyboard. And basically this is every positive aspects of this game. There is no motivation basically to play the game, because there is no story, basic gameplay is soulless, the game looks ugly, the AI sometimes doing okay, but mostly…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you came here from the original 1nsane (3D * 4WD * 56K), you're going to be sorely disappointed with this one. Far from the original benchmark offroad racer, In2ane is a Motorstorm clone with surprisingly high production values but just sub-par gameplay. Handling is floaty, the camera swing and shake is too artificial to let the game shine, and while the original game modes and classic wrap-around-maps are back in abundance, the vehicle physics are just too half-baked even compared to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Two thoughts on the nuggets game: 1. It is WILD how close so many NBA games are. Across skill levels in basketball its so rare for a game to come down to a possession and it happens in the NBA all the time. Insane 2. Jamal Murray has been dominant this yr and im not mad that last shot didnt go in
unlabelledView post →Good game but my one problem is it feels more arcady than first game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is hard to recommend this game, while people compare it to Motorstorm I can honestly say this is then the poor mans version. It is really quite boring and only holds interest for about five minutes at a time. Music is generic, boring and honestly sounds like the crap you find on royalty free websites. Graphics ok, but not particularly interesting. Overall avery meh game. I really wish someone would do a game like Motorstorm Apocalypse because that was great.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe this is just me, but I feel that while this is a just fine arcade-y racer (which is what I typically look for in racing games, ala FlatOut, Burnout, etc and various Kart Racers.) I feel like the bots are just a bit cheap for my taste. Plus, the controls being THIS simplistic don't really mesh with the environments to me like FlatOut does. Not sure I like the boost system either, although with the lack of stuff to run into in In2ane I don't really blame the devs for not using something…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not going to say that this game is bad; it isn't, it's a perfectly fine arcade off-road racing game. My issue is that the career mode jams too many event types down my throat that I would consider party game nonsense. All I'm here for is to prove that I'm the fastest racer out there, and instead the game would rather me do all these wacky things like chasing the spotlight beam of a helicopter or hunting down randomly dropped packages that parachute onto the map. The driving itself is…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short version: Insane 2 is the best game i've played in a long time, but it's not without stupid easily-fixed flaws. It could have been perfect and recommendable to anyone were it not for these issues. As it is it's fantastic but beware of control/viewpoint frustrations. Longer version: It's amazing but annoying at the same time. Obviously a lot of effort has gone into making the game not only fun but also faithful to the predecessor and the developers have succeeded on both counts. Yet there…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are looking for the original Insane Style, this is not your game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really awesome game! <3 Great successor for the 1nsane 1 with same map logic yet improved game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is no key binding or I can't find it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even though Insane 2 is a racing game, “a race mode” is the last you want to re-play. Generally your car is indestructible, gets unlimited nitro for no reasons, with you being able to outdrive the opponents even with the basic chosen wheels. Most of those race tracks are doable at the first try. Thanks to the Elder Gods, a “casual race mode” is the only major drawback. There is ““Capture the Flag”, where you may kiss enemy's back and escape with its flag, hoping you won't flip over (but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The RACING is okay... it -looks- wonderful... but theres not even close to enough of it.. at all! 80% of the maps are a Scramble-around driving to random waypoints that change while your driving, -Constantly-. so its utterly Luck of the draw as to weather you win a match. your better off just sitting by one gate and waiting for it to cycle back to your gate to drive through. no wait it wont ever do that because it doesn't pick any gates near -players!- the AI precalculates (path finds) the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You know what? This game is kinda sick. First as a disclosure, I got this in a bundle for $3.50cad that I mainly bought for a steam version of FlatOut 2. If anything, I kinda got this game for free. It's a racing game that takes place in multiple open-world locations where you checkpoint race, hold the flag for a bit, claim as many gates as possible, run over the airdrop packages, stay in the helicopter searchlight, as well as problably more gimmicky gametypes (since the further I progress in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game but the bots are heavily programmed to "cheat" i.e. they just disappear and spawn closer to the targets constantly. Worth it in a bundle only due to this. No gamer likes feeling cheated.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We have Motorstorm at home
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →real old arcade, do not die until you try it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I miss the old days of the good and simple racing games, had a blast with this 37 hours is all it took to finish all the content, going extremely casual
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Going through my backlog of games and found this. Basically budget Motor Storm with some games thrown in like scramble and capture the flag. Cars are upgradable which is cool too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An okay arcade racing game. Rough around the edges but still fun for few hours. It has decent map and game-mode variety.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Holy crap, this game is so much fun! I have to agree with others in here that the game modes can be frustrating and hard, but once you get the hang of it all, you'll be nailing every kind of event in no time! I didn't think Codemasters worked on this as well. *Insane* sense of speed, absolutely ridiculous hard AI, horrendous amounts of airtime & boosting till you become an aircraft...I am so recommending this game to anyone who enjoys racing, especially in online...this game would be a blast…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a pretty fun racing game. Positives: The maps are by far the best offroad maps I've seen. In most games, there's only one way to race through a map. But not in this. The seamless looping and tons of passageways make the maps feel like they are raceable in infinite ways. One level feels like 30 others combined into one. And let's not forget the soundtrack. I love it. It's not too obnoxious, not too distracting, not too lackluster, and it's very fitting. Most of the gamemodes are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good old fashioned racing fun. A variety of game modes mixes things up nicely. Equally a variety of vehicles keeps things interesting, even if some options are just for fun. The single player holds up okay, but it's the multiplayer carnage that is the ticket. A LAN Party classic.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice maps and cars. Variety of game modes. Non-existing physics. Terrible AI - overwhalming rubberbanding. Dead multiplayer. If you want some arcade fun in single player in off-road setting - give it a try. Otherwise avoid.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the overrated game is too expensive for its graphics and theme
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a bad off road racer but not a good one, graphics are very good and sound, but the physics are pants, steering terrible, anoying Ai, anoying metal bulls that just stop you dead( WTF?) anoying fences or other items that will stop you dead, anoying and becomes frustrating quickly.Gameplay might keep you interested for 5 minutes.Does not come close to Insane 1 for gameplay, no replay modes, no free roam, I only bought this because I loved Insane 1 but sadly this feels like a cheap bad copy…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Enjoyable arcade offroad racing game. Decent physics, great sounds, interesting cars, cool tracks and unique game modes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am quite loving this game. Simple and dirrect, I was looking for something that didn't require hours and hours of playing time to be satisfying. After work, I play half an hour, have some adrenalinic fun, win or lose a couple of races. Visuals are very good, gameplay is simple but absolutely spot on, controls idem. Customization of the cars is "advanced" enough to be catchy while staying simple. There is plenty of different tracks and gaming modes, so definitely a game i recommend for some…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is a total hoot .. fun and interesting too play i thought it would be boring and cheap looking but i am really enjoying it especially the capture the flag and the rain weather is amazing i give this little game 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just started playing. Does not look too bad maxed out and so far fun to play. No way to get the online achievements as online is dead. Utter ripoff price on steam but if you can get in bundle for $1, like I did, then well worth it :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate to give this game a negative review, because the actual racing part of the game is pretty good except for collision physics that makes vehicles stick together. The main thing that brings this game down are the too frequent non-racing parts of the career mode, such as capture the flag, and modes where you have to race to capture randomly placed checkpoints, and a strange mode where you have to stay within a spotlight projected by a helicopter. Who wants to play a career mode where you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Insane 2 (In2ane?) is a basic offroad racer where the entire gimmick is having unique game modes. There isn't much else worth talking about here. I finished the career mode because I am a racing game masochist not because the game is enjoyable. **Offroad Race, Knockout** Racing game staples. Rubber-banding is super aggressive but turns off in the last lap. I don't really have anything else to say about these ones. Yes these are the best game modes. **Gate Hunt, Pathfinder** Both of these…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I still have the original one 1nsane (2000) on cd and played it back then sometimes but I was not so impressed by the gameplay like the graphics (that was very good) it had also multiplayer features but not everyone had that luxury ;) This next Insane is a little bit better because there's the championship, with all the diffrent styles we all know of the 2000 game. Graphics are ok and gameplay is also ok but nothing more than that. Buy this during a sale and if you want some minutes of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →never played insane 2 but i like it so far - good oldschool racer back when games actually were fun. i loved to play the first game on my buddies PC because he had 128mb RAM and i only had 32mb. the physics were something special back then but the game never really had that much attention, which is sad. pro tip - to change settings like audio or game mode, u need to shift left or right within the certain bar. and to change ur resolution, go into the cfg file within ur documents folder.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really dumb, sad this is the closest thing to motorstorm we'll ever get on pc.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game does not live up to the first one at all. This just feels like a way too simple, arcade-like Motorstorm wannabe. I grew up with the first game, and I couldn't wait to check this one out! But it just felt like a waste of time. Go play 1nsane (The first game) instead. You won't regret it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you know 1nsane? It was the most fun action racer ever! Many cool game modes like gate racing, next-gate racing, last out kills and the absolutely hilarious "capture the flag" hunt. And In2ane ist just the same with modern graphics (e.g. dark rainy thunder) and additional modes like loot racing and copter chasing. Even if it is also quite old now, the fun stays the same. Too bad, that multiplayer does not work (anymore). But it runs great with Steam Play Proton on Linux, Fun racing with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great arcade fun. The tracks must be in another dimension the way that they constantly go round and round. One you are driving downhill constantly for 3 laps and you wonder at what point you warped back to the top of the hill for the next lap.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its not often that you come across an unexpected gem BUT this time I DID. GREAT game, Controller support (even though it doesnt say it in store), split screen local multi and to top it off, I found this on Sale for less than $1!!! One of the BEST purchases Ive made!!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun with friends
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good Single player game, Thumbs up from me
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although the graphics didn't age well, its still a fun racing game. The fact that you can loose the race if your car gets destroyed adds a bit of realism to the game. The races are fast and fun and some off road race tracks are easy to crash on a lot your first time through so it requires you to build a strategy and get good. The online scene is dead, even if you have a bunch of steam friends like me good luck convincing somebody to play this ancient dead racing game. Get this game only for the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not as good as Motorstorm but almost so best off-road racing game for PC yet and really fun to play, wish there did come more of them
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If they removed or let you skip the chasing a helicopter parts I would change my review.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Insane 2 for the insane price of 15€. The game has many flaws and bad design decisions. Plus the screenshots in the Steam store are fake.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Motorstorm: The Clone Version Yes, this is basically the copy of Motorstorm or if you will, an off-road version of Burnout. Now I know what you think - those are some big names you are dropping - and I am, this game undeniably has that moment-to-moment "fun" factor of the aftermentioned games. You have the boost meter, ramps to catch big air, and glorious crashes. Also, ignore the negative reviews that are complaining how this isn't the same game as the first 1NSANE game, that game was more a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fairly good driving game but this has nothing to do with the first Insane. Cars don't get wrecked the same way and the funniest game mode is missing (I mean the one where you had to roll and crash other cars). Graphics look good though. But if you're looking something similar to the first Insane, this isn't it. In my opinion they shouldn't have used the Insane name at all. It is misleading.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been finding it harder and harder to find a game that I get into. Insane2 has been surprisingly fun and it's the game I've been playing most lately. Thumbs up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played the original 1nsane. I played the demo I'd gotten on a CD with a magazine, and then I played the full game as soon as I found it. I loved 1nsane. I played the hell out of 1nsane. This, sir, is not 1nsane. It's not bad, but Insane 2 isn't as good as the original. But it is a fun little off-road, open-arena racer. Jamboree, Off-Road Racing and Capture the Flag are still around, and they're mostly good (though the cars seem to roll over way to easily with the flag than in the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →How do I convince you that this is worth $15? Well, think about what else that money will pay for. You could get a medium pizza, or buy the attentions of a woman-of-negotiable-virtue. Except both of those are risks to your health, and you can't really enjoy those things more than once. Not without paying for more. But they're cheap and easy, and satisfy a craving. That's this game. Except it's not gross or crawling with bugs. In either the literal or figurative sense.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favorite racing games PERIOD.
