60 of 179 · most liked firstI'm a depressed 28-year-old dude who's lost a lot of interest in most aspects of life, including even video games, unfortunately. I just can't get into long, complex strategy games or RPGs anymore. I don't have the mental energy to do it. I just don't care. Nowadays I'd rather fire up something simpler that gives me quick bursts of joy. Like racing games. Anything that just lets me hop into a cool car or truck, and makes me feel like I'm really driving it. It appeals to my inner 5-year-old and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All monster truck fans should get this game. Anyone who grew up playing Monster Truck Madness should get a kick out of this game. People who liked Monster Jam Steel Titans but wanted more of a real feel and less arcade, will get a kick out of this game. Racing fans looking for something challenging and new will dig this. On easy and medium the game is fun for all ages and challenging at times, higher than medium and the game gets very realistic and hard. The trucks actually feel like you're…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a shame. I was hoping this game would be better than Rainbow Studio's Steel Titans Monster Jam games, but this is just poor. The big killer is its physics. This game is a 'simulation' in everything but its physics. The monster trucks slide around like they are driving on ice. The suspension is not bouncy at all and just will be stiff and soft at the same time. The trucks float around like they have reduced gravity. I tried different tuning settings yet nothing could fix the total jankiness…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nowhere Near A Simulator I have been a fan of monster trucks my whole life. I follow the sport religiously, and have attended dozens of events, so I'm pretty familiar with it. I purchased this game not at all expecting it to be a simulator, but rather an arcade style game, and while I think there is a good game to be had here, I think it needs to be tuned before it gets there. By far my biggest gripe is with the physics. The trucks don't feel like they have any weight to them, and everywhere…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game Is by far the best Monster Truck game we have had on PC for quite a long time! I remember Monster Truck Madness back In 99 and It was great! Monster Jam Steel Titians Is the OFFICIAL Monster Jam game and Its fun...but this Is a sim and It nails It! The Physics In this game are even better than Steel Titans!! Now Its not perfect but when you get on 2 wheels on the rear you cant go In reverse and back out of It...Its like the truck doesnt have rear wheel drive so gotta reset. Other thing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is it fun yes? Does it feel like you are driving a monster truck? Not really. Driving is very stiff, once you end up on the rear wheels it's a 90% chance of being stuck in that position and not being able to do anything. Score counting is also not very accurate. There are a lot of things that doesn't give you the feel of a monster truck. So that's why it's a thumbs down. Game is at least an enjoyment for time savers.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks like an arcade game but once you play it...OMG! Physics are top notch. Control is spot on. UI, vehicle and steering wheel settings are impeccable. Loads of extra features & upgrades to unlock. Racing, Drag Racing and Destruction events keep you on your toes. Don't be fooled, this game is not as easy as it looks but feels very, very rewarding. Most of all its maxed out non-stop fun! I was mind blown! I still have to check out multiplayer though. Servers were empty before game's launch.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game, The idea is golden but the execution is flawed. For a game with surprising depth in the event types, customization, setups, sounds, and graphics there is just one elephant sitting in the room. The trucks are just awful to control. It's a game that sells its self as "A true Monster Truck simulation" but the truth is it's MUCH more arcade then sim. My first complaint about the trucks is that the starter truck is a four-speed. Almost all MT's are two speed…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The potential is there, physics are good and fun. Problem is the game is dragged down by dumb and un challenging ai and poor tracks. Also the freestyle and destruction mode can be really frustrating
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finished Monster Truck Championship today. An old game but pretty fun. Pretty unique feel to the way they handle since they have front and rear steering. Races are the highlight, but even the freestyle stuff is pretty fun. Almost made me wanna shout "yeehaw" and fuck my cousin! 😋
unlabelledView post →Great game! Works well with the Logitech G920 Steering wheel too :-D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To be clear I was sent a key for the developers for this game My first look and gameplay can be seen here https://youtu.be/RWauLSFIDz4 I was pleasantly surprised when playing Monster Truck Championship. To be clear I know very little about the sport other than the odd video I have seen on youtube or sporting programs. Monster Trucks are not really mainstream in the UK. With that said the game was fun to pick up and play. There isn’t too much to learn to play, but I get the feeling to master…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was a lot of fun for the most part, but they abandoned it and it really isnt up to its full potential. Its very unfortunate
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I purchased this on sale for about $7. Reviews made me think I wouldnt like it. Color me shocked when I found out this game is a hidden gem. This game is setup like older NASCAR games, or DIRT 4, etc where you build your vehicles, team, sponsors etc. Except its done with monster trucks. Theres a ton of variety in how to play, its not completely linear so you dont feel railroaded (think GT4). Lots of options for how to build your trucks. Bodies, paint, engines, and details like painting…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game promised 25 stadiums but it only has 8.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The core gameplay is fun. I mean, you're driving a monster truck. How can it not be fun? The trucks feel appropriately weighty and bouncy, and you actually have full control over both axles for steering (monster trucks have 4-wheel steering) so you can turn the rear wheels independently of the front wheels, which both helps you maneuver the truck in tight spaces, but also allows you to pull off some pretty cool stunts. And the trucks sound appropriately meaty as well. Graphically I have to say…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is EFFING awesome. Now, 2 weeks ago I saw YouTuber, SlapTrain, get early access to try out the game. INSTANTLY SOLD! The closest game of monster truck simulation you can get is BeamNG. Cool and the destruction you can do to your vehicle is insane, but this takes it up an notch because it feels like you are purely in control and not just trying to control a vehicle to make it respond like a monster truck. THIS IS THE MONSTER JAM FEELING MILLIONS HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR AND FINALLY THE…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bland as heck. Despite having expanded control over your monster truck and an alright variety of modes, it's quite phoned in and the physics are very wonky. This makes everything you do in the game more of a struggle and kills a lot of the fun. Normally a fan of Teyon, but this ain't it. Maybe on a deep, deep discount if you're curious.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels like the truck has balloons tied to it at all times and is very easy to get stuck like a turtle. Overall Disappointing. Has great potential if the physics are tweaked.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It took 7 minutes for me to decide this game was crap.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doesnt work with Moza wheels
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is terribly bad and the physics, what the hell is with these physics??... So wrong..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Graphics are pretty good, the controls feel more arcade-like, but still acceptable. Tuning is also possible, there are different models to unlock or buy, as well as decals. Training mode and a handful of challenges. However, I would only buy it on sale. Thanks for the gift @Roan MacLeod
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a huge Monster truck fan, I do not recommend this. If you want to game after a long day at work, this game will get you more frustrated due to poor driving controls. I tried making changes within settings in both game and control, nothing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the driving is horrible most of the game is junk
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Game is Terrible i wish I had not bought it, the controls don't work I have a G29 wheel and have to use the keyboard to navaigate .Driving the truck with my triple screen is messed up I got the correct resolution but the truck is to close and wont go out The Truck drives way to sensitive has no in truck view and Microsoft Monster Truck Madness 2 (1997 - PC was a better game and the gameplay is just no much fun at all
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a great game but i bought a multiplayer monster truck game so i could do the destruction/freestyle part with my friends, the game does not let you do this. it only allows for racing and drag racing with friends. its not even an option to freestyle against a friend separately. pretty much kills it for me. ill gladly change my review if this feature is added
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has it where it counts--the truck physics are great, and it's tons of fun to perform stunts. All of the freestyle tricks are fairly easy to learn, and a joy to pull off. Everything you see on actual Monster Jam can be done here. The gameplay loop is short and simple: win races, do stunts, get money, upgrade truck, repeat. That's it. But that's okay. I wasn't expecting some robust, open world to lose myself in for hundreds or thousands of hours, and neither should you. This…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic monster truck game. Would classify it as a forgiving sim, rather than an over-the-top arcade. The physics are fine idk what other reviewers are on about.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to love this simulation and this is supposed to be a monster truck simulation, but the physics need a lot of work. The truck doesn't bounce accurately when landing big jumps. It's not satisfying. I think the main reason is that tire deformation physics is not implemented. The tire traction physics is also off. It doesn't feel like the tires are digging into the ground. The suspension doesn't squat realistically when accelerating. Is first gear really that short in monster…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is no replay system... games a masterpiece..... well out of the monster truck games ive seen. playing with G923. cockpit view. ♥♥♥♥ me its funnnnn BUT THEN I WANNA WATCH IT FROM THE SPECTATOR VIEW PLEASSSEEEEEEEE, a better paint shop and more customizablilty w3ould be cool, but like not nearly as cool as simple replay system, feels like your codes copied from wreckfest partly anyway so just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ copy theirs!! (wreckfest 1) but i wanna watch my replays :/
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →besides the monster jam series being great for what it is and also the latest iteration - showdown being okey, monster truck championship gives me that feel i have missed before. you really feel the trucks and you feel how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ heavy they are. on higher difficulty and full damage type, one lil mistake ♥♥♥♥♥ you up completely and that is how it should be. for freestyle mode you actually need to practice more than i imagined to get some points but it is tons of fun to get the hang of it. also…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is more realistic than most. you feel the power and GRACE of these trucks. it's really cool when it comes together in this package. I don't know why reviews FROM YOUTUBE didn't like this game. it's solid
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly better than the current Monster Truck Games today. Such a realistic monster truck game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent monster truck sim. Works fantastic with my Thrustmaster ferarri GT experience gear, a $50 wheel and pedals.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent racing game but would be nice to have more race tracks, career is finished in 7 to 8 hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really surprisingly good monster truck game. Fun to play. The physics feel pretty nice and no glaring issues. Would recommend if you can get it for the discounted price of like 3.99 or cheaper.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a Hidden Gem on STEAM imo...it's pretty much exactly what you'd be looking for in a monster truck game and it runs really well. 11/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun, arcadey monster truck game. Don't go in with the expectation of it being a simulator, because it's not. imagine a 1500 horsepower version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, not SKATE. What IS cool is the ability to independently control each axle's steering simultaneously. It really makes you feel in control of the trucks. It's just disappointing how unrealistic the physics are. I'm hoping for a sequel with more realistic gameplay!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow. These guys made a really fun game. It's not pointlessly or arbitrarily hard, it just let's you simulate driving a monster truck. Because monster trucks are fun, and games are supposed to be fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best Monster truck game out rn. I found the driving to be a little slick but it was a good challenge. Surprisingly enjoyed the sponsor challenges and the range of tuning options for the trucks. Kept things fresh all the way through the campaign.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Updated review: Multiplayer is fixed it seems. Had no issues now playing with a friend. Now the issue is the game itself. Physics are just bad. Tires feel like they are overinflated. The suspension doesn't travel and cushion like it should. All the tracks feel the same slimy feel to them. Like you are trying to drive on a slip n slide. Also whatever you do, don't bump into a NPC truck, or you'll get tossed like a ragdoll. Original review below: Mostly got this for multiplayer. Come to find…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the driving around is fun and that is about it. me and a friend tried to play multiplayer and we would load up and i get booted back to the main menu saying connections lost... the driving is about the only plus side as i dont have to use the controls for the back wheels at all if i dont want to(which is a godsend because that setup is just horrible and i get confused on which side controls which set of wheels at times when i was doing the races) the physics just suck and overall its just not a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game seems great, especially for monster truck fans. But if you're on pc and have no wheel or controller it is impossible to play this. The control mapping is not optimized to any pc play nowadays, without editing its sensitivity is high and does not have any bindings for the mouse. I could not bind my mouse to any control making this game more of a typing class than a race game. Only other criticism would be I wanted a more freestyle monster truck game and this game only offers…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really good. I've been waiting for this game for a very long time. It controls good once you get used to the truck, it looks beautiful when it's on epic graphics sadly my PC can't really handle it but it still looks great when it's on low and game play it's fun but i do have to admit there are some problems with the game i ran into when i was playing. For example, Florida stadium is kinda broken, the invisible wall messes me up when I go up on the big hill for a jump. I ran into an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't follow monster trucking , but with that said , I do like the genre of racing in general . Overall very well done , and should please about anyone who thinks they might like this . It's more nuanced and sim than what I was expecting . Highly recommended .
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →actually is a decent game for $40 even tho i bought the $50 game with the dlc. hope they allow mods and steam workshop. and hope they do updates on a regular because the game is fun game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2026 REVIEW, GENUINE REVIEW: As a big Monster Jam fan, I know there isn’t a huge market for modern monster truck games, so I’m always glad to see new ones. I’d give it around a 7 out of 10. One of my favourite things is the truck sounds. They sound great. The game doesn’t have any of the real life licensed trucks, but honestly I didn’t mind. The customization makes up for it. There’s a lot you can do with the trucks and I really enjoyed that. The tuning system is another plus. It’s simple but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels unfinished. Not worth the 4€ I paid for it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this game for 2$, pretty good monster truck game, but not as good as monster jam series. Atleast this game always remind me Monster Jam Path of Destruction. Because you can customize your truck and location for circuit racing is in stadium just like Path of Destruction. I give this 7.5/10, because it has nostalgic feeling.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game should say playable game for the steam deck ive had no issues on the deck so far if i see one ill edit my review i have not had to edit any setting to play this on the deck so far great realistic game must play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't understand how you're supposed to control this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well... It could have been great. All the ideas are there, including a "simulation" approach, a decent career mode and decent presentation. But the physics and ai are both ABYSMAL. The trucks feel like they have NO weight sometimes and sometimes (landing a jump) they feel like a dropping solid concrete slab. Vehicle simulation is not the forte here, for sure. And the ai will sometimes just meander in your way and blocking while being 50% slower and sometimes go into rage mode and sudenly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →truck handles like something from an 2003 ps1 game, and I really think it shouldn't. I know that monster trucks are hard to handle irl, but it's not pleasantly tricky in a semi simulational way, it's just kinda weird. also, the number of livery designs is limited to like 8, so you are bound to feel like all the trucks look the same after 3 games. It kinda makes the experience out to be very limited, not immersive at all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It crashes every now and then, one of the crashes even deleted my career progress. Other than that, it's a nice Wreckfest/Flatout with the Monster Truck theme. It's obviously not a sim but it's got very logical physics. As a sim racer I find it rather easy even on the highest difficulty, especially once you upgrade your truck and get good staff in your team. The career can be completed in less than 10h but for the price I got it, it is more than enough. I have not tried the multiplayer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a decent game really, physics seem better than monster jam, but this is heavily focused on Arenas. Works great on Linux though so grab the kids and have some fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I forget what I paid for this game, but if it was more than $10, it wasn't worth it. Granted I only have half an hour registered on Steam, I did put in a couple hours on my friends console. Did the first event and a bit of training, couldn't get anywhere near the amount of points required on Hard difficulty (2 of 4) freestyle, due in part to combos expiring in what feels like a second or 2, not even enough time to get half way across the arena to another obstacle, I tried to do the wheelie…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have been to a real monster truck event, and everything I saw on the event was very similar to what you can find playing the game. This game is more for casual players, if you are a casual player, you will really enjoy this one and it is a very fun game, everyone can play it!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No. Got this via a Humble key so at least it was cheap (2.85$). Performance is extremely poor, rtx2080 and even on low sub 60fps in the first race. The handling seems to be fun but I just can't play this like this. Would absolutely NEVER buy anything above 5$. Edit: also no propper 21:9 / 32:9 support. Just zoomed.
