Not just the hunting, gathering, and basic survival, but also witnessing the birth of language itself. The dream state sequences are visually stunning, and the soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous. If you’re after something non-violent and quietly spiritual (more human than heroic) I highly recommend it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I Mother is one of the most unique survival experiences I’ve played in a long time. You play as a Neanderthal woman trying to find her tribe, lost in translation and without a map. Everything is communicated through symbols, gestures, and intuition, and you have to take your time to get to know the environment and its meaning. It’s warm, relaxing, meditative, and sometimes frustrating, but that’s the point. It really makes you feel what it’s like to survive in an unknown world where you…

It's a welcome change from the hectic grind of most exploration games.

Didn’t sing even one chorus of his biggest 3 songs — that was the crowd’s job, apparently. He seemed like he didn’t want to be there.

It wasn't an overly difficult game to follow but still had it's challenges when it came to navigating the puzzles. I also enjoyed seeing the character evolve through each level. It took me about 5 hours to complete, but could probably take more or less time depending on how much you want to explore each level. Disliked: I did still run…

At first, the lack of instructions and anything verbal was different, but you got used to it and enjoyed not having it as you could try to sense and feel what to do next. The progression was achievable Disliked : The camera angle malfunctioned a few times. It was hard to figure out how to run embarressingly but that is probably my fault!
