negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun arcade racer for racists.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Used to work on Steam Deck, recent update adding Easy Anticheat broke it. Steam deck compatibility is completely gone, and it does not run anymore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doesn't run without Kernel level easy anti-cheat. Not even mentioned on store page
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game used to launch on Steam Deck, now it's always "Unexpected Error" when getting into the game. Unable to play. The children aren't happy, which in turn makes me unhappy. Fix would be appreciated. UPDATE: I followed some instructions on a post on the discussions board by The Evilbruger in Nov. 2024 which stated: Game Not Launching at all To anyone experiencing problems with the game saying its running but not launching. Try this. Go to Manage>Browse Local Files>open the 1KB…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't buy even when on sale. First of all, the easy AI is way too easy and medium is way too hard. Second, the Legendary Edition comes with a lot of cars but once you actually look through them all there is not much to choose from. If your looking to throw $50 out the window this is great, maybe buy if its $5 or less.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was initially very excited for this game after the first game was surprisingly fun to play and featured more Acceleracers representation than we've seen in years. However despite the trailers being very promising, the game itself is a pretty typical example of AAA slop. Pointless microtransactions. Long loading screens. More focus on polish than on anything I was actually interested in seeing. The game still features a pretty tight but also weirdly difficult to master driving style, that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Similar to the first game, it scratches that racing itch, the graphics look clean, the sound design is good, but I am experiencing the same issue many others state - if you so much as touch the keyboard, the mouse, the volume control on your headset - anything that signals to the game you are playing on PC and the whole game has a stronk - not even task manager get's me around this. I am writing this after having to do a hard shut down. All this aside, I am enjoying the game immensely otherwise…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The kids attempt to play it on the steam deck. It fails to launch about 50% of the time. Actual gameplay is good on the deck. But the failure to launch half the time for "Unexpected Error" is BS. It has happened enough times that I expect it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have a lot of hours in this game, arguably far far more than I should've which might imply I really enjoyed the game so why the negative review? It boils down to a few key issues that simply prevent the game from actually being good past the surface level upgrades that Milestone added from the first game. For the pros and upgrades from HWU, we get a roster of generally more desirable cars especially on the side of the fantasy castings, many more Acceleracers cars and some Highway 35 cars…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If it's on sale this is a good one. I wouldn't do full price, there just doesn't seem to be enough content. The gameplay though is great. The graphics are good. Performance is good. The custom community tracks get wild and that's a whole other part of the game. Career mode is nice. Just wouldn't do full price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Perfect arcade racing game that you can chill and jam to music while playing ~
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I picked up the original HWU game on the Epic store when it was free a few months ago. It ended up becoming one of my favourite games in a long time. Used to play racing games back in the day but always avoided them as an adult. This game is so much fun to play...accessible with a plenty of room for skill and bettering yourself as you progress. By the time you've put a few days in you'll be so confident with the driving it begins to feel like a new experience again as you fly around the track…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: - Added more tracks - DLC's are better than first - Jump mechanic offers movement and obstacles to make races more accelerating - Perk systems that actually help the cars to be more effective - Brand new modes - Bruh they added motorcycles do I need to say more Cons: - Shove mechanic is absolutely horrendous. Doesn't let me shove in the right direction when I use it - Not all DLC cars and tracks didn't make to this one. The DC, Street Fighter, Looney Tunes, and even Mystery Machine…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have been having such a great time with this Hot Wheels game. I enjoyed the first one but this one has so much more to offer with the track builder and the full cross-play. Also so so many more cars in this one as well
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →EasyAntiCheat + EpicOnlineServices + even more boring than the 1st one. if given a choice to buy or not to buy it again - I'd skip it completely.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone who's not a big racing game enjoyer besides the occasional mario kart with friends; I enjoyed this game overall. The cars are fun to drive and the mechanics are fun. Though the races do get repetitive over time while playing through the campaign and free DLC's. I played it excusivly on my steam deck and it worked great on it. It was enjoyable having my kid sit next to me and pick which car I would use for each race. Overall a great and fun game. But I would wait till it's on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged because I really enjoyed the first game. Overall, the second game is much easier compared to the first one (including achievements). This time, they've added jumping, ramming (pushing other cars), and a skill system. I really liked the new skills for example, you can turn a grippy car into a drifty one, increase your nitro capacity, or make your car more stable. These features didn’t exist in the first game, where you could only upgrade your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first game is more fun. The addition of a jump button has made the tracks much more annoying to play. I prefer to focus on driving than worrying about gimmicks that require me to jump over them.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game doesn't launch, black screen after initial Milestone and Unreal, xloc splash screens. Same problem a lot of people have. From what I gather the publisher doesn't give a damn when people contact them for support. It's too bad, it's a fun game, an improvement on the original. Stopped working a few months ago, I've barely bought a game on Steam since it stopped working. Have tried everything under the sun to get it to work, every graphics configuration option in Nvidia app and Control…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like being a kid again playing with your toy cars. The racing is actually really tight, I love the way each of the cars feels. It's not realistic racing, rather, it's like how you'd play with the cars as toys. I did originally get this game just for the Highway 35: World Race and AcceleRacers cars, but this game overall is very fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →None of the online features work, even after going through multiple troubleshooting guides, I'm unable to use half of the game, like customization or online racing. Otherwise great game with fun racing, but cannot recommend until they fix the online.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Lesser Sequel Key features Clumsy story, Amazing toy-ish graphics, Cricket sound in online Simplified I played first HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED and I liked it a lot. Compared to it, strictly compared to it, HWU2 feels smaller and easier. In HWU1 I recall replaying time attack modes multiple times, finding shortcuts and perfecting cornering just to get a second advantage to earn that Unleashed time goal. In HWU2 you just arrive with 5-10secs spare. Obstacles tracks! There were many in HWU1.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Undisclosed Easy Anti Cheat. Undisclosed Epic Services. Those two things aren't the biggest deal breakers admittedly, I just find it frustrating they don't disclose this. EAC in general is one of the worst anti cheats of all time in terms of effecting a games performance, look at elden ring for a sad example of that. Some of the worst rubber-banding I have ever seen in a racing game however is a huge deal breaker. Only took one race to see just how bad the rubber-banding is.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →my son likes this. recommended to all dads out there.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Keeps changing my input to keyboard and mouse mid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ race and I have to close the game to get it to reset to my controller. I can't even play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tutorial race.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →30 GB Install space required, can play offline, chillen.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is now unplayable on the Steam Deck since they added EasyAntiCheat from EpicGames. Edit: Works after update The game was great overall and worked well on the Steam Deck 9/10 gameplay & graphics 69/10 Steam Deck Comptability
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good baby's first arcade racer (im baby) Could've used more music variety in races
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Came here for the Acceleracers DLCs and I was a fan of unleashed 1 but this whole game feels kind of lacking in terms of new things as a sequel. It feels like its just more of unleashed 1 but with some extra stuff on top of it. the best things to do in this game is customize your cars and make tracks, gameply is *fine* and it works as a simple racing game and has many clear improvements over the first game. But as a sequel it does not do enough to make it stand out. If you played the first…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The racing is fun, with different difficulties for different ages and skill levels. The online vs other players is mostly dead as others have mentioned, but honestly that's not a big deal, as the ai is fun enough and the game still allows you to do vs split screen and lobbies of up to 9 other players, so you can easily play this with friends, etc. The track builder is not very good, so that was disappointing, but that's not why I got the game. The game is best when it's on sale, do not buy for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best arcade racer to come out in YEARS. Absolutely gorgeous graphics. Tons of nostalgia.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, one of the best arcade racers ive played in years. As someone who heavily prefers arcade racers over sims, this game is exactly what I needed. Need for speed has been my go to racing franchise since the 90s, but with the current state of need for speed being in question, and just the general focus of the racing market shifting more towards sims, arcade lovers dont get as many great games as we used to. This game scratched my arcade itch perfectly.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not sure this game is not gettting the love it deserves? it has very tight controllers and fun arcade physics, sound effects is great and music isnt half bad, production values is nothing less than what you expect from a modern AAA title ... ignore the mixed reviews and give it a try and you will more than likely find yourself a hidden gem here, and if like me you used to collect hot wheels cars back in your childhood days this game is gonna be a dream come true!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very fun game overall, better than the first one for sure!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A super fun arcade racer. The story mode was a lot of fun to playthrough. The different types of modes and tracks kept the game engaging until the end. The cutscenes of story mode are kept short so you can get back to racing but is a fun segment to break up all the said races. I am not the biggest fan of how you unlock cars but the shop refreshes frequently enough that you will be able to find something you will like. 4/5
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just what i was looking for! ive been into sim racing since around GT3 and HEAVY since my early 20's (35). i LOVE motorsport and most of my time with Media/Games so on moves Around that World... Ive been wanting a game to "Kick back and chill" with and nothing Sim like but still racing... Looked into a few games like some of the Need For Speed games and so on... what i love about Unleashed 2... it Knows what it IS and ISNT unlike some Car Based games out there... i wanted Real Racing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not working. Unexpected error. Verified for deck but is wrong. Broken unplayable software. Bad programming causing crashes. Not good. Hot wheels brand is suffering poor decision making with break software broken. Broken. Broken. Unplayable. F GRADE 0/10 I WOULD RATE NEGATIVE IF I COULD.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very addicting. Nothing complicated you just pick a car, race, and upgrade your car. Very competitive multiplayer and racing solo on extreme is pretty challenging as well. I like to play this while doing ketamine therapy it's a very neutral game that is suuuuper fun to play while high.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Winner of: The worst UI of the year the real game starts once you need to navigate between the mess of screens Convoluted and time wasteful. Worse than the DMV. Just glad i only need to confirm once to uninstall. For real, why? To leave a race, at the very least, i need to wait for the boost start, then quit the race to the career map, then i get to see the loading screen kick in 3 times in a row. By unleashed 3 at least give us an epilepsy warning Cars are displayed in a single row…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a nice evolution from the previous version, and new game mechanics, but there are some caveats. - Music its an absolute downgrade, its just crap for some tracks. - Story videos are annoying, but I understand it's for little kids and you can skip them. - Map and menu navigation is less intuitive than previous one. Overall is a nice iteration. 4/5
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is so fun and everyone should play this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very fun game a that has some challenge to it, that or I am ass at the game, who knows. Anyways, the locations are all great, love the fact you can drive around each one. There is so much detail put into this game too. Side boosting and a double jump was something I didn't know I needed in a hot wheels game. The cars I used where fun, but I feel the off-road class is probably the weakest though. However, this game does have it's bad. Moving between menus sucks. It feel so slow and there isn't…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great fun, good graphic you can play MP and SP. Worth!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unplayable. Xbox series X controller disconnects every two minutes, never had a single problem with my controller until I downloaded this. Also, rubberbanding makes the game completely unenjoyable, it's not a challenge or fun, you can have the fastest car or bike going and some monster truck will overtake you after two minutes of nobody being behind you. I despise rubberbanding because it completely defeats the point of even having difficulty levels in the first place. If you're a fan of lazy…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Firstly, I will say that I think that the second game is better than the original. It plays smoother and I think a lot of the game mechanics were improved upon. What this game does lack is soul. I am not sure if it is because of the removal of the customizable basement, the blind boxes do not guarantee a car and feels grindy and slow, or the fact that the online aspect of the game is basically non-existent. I would 100% buy this game again on sale for a couple bucks, but would pass up every…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is good, but the drift events are killing my enjoyment of it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →hot wheels has been relevant my whole life my childhood: i played with hotwheels teenage years: i discovered masturbation and would stuff my hot wheels in my foreskin adulthood: this game glad to know; no matter how much we change some things in our lives are always relevant
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you've ever enjoyed Hot Wheels and felt nostalgic about Mario Kart SNES, this game is an absolute blast. If you catch it on sale you wont regret it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doesn't work on Steam Deck, despite being "Verified"
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game but its not active. Wait forever to try and play someone and finds no one to race against. Would be nice if they did more with it. Its fun tho. I would recommend if its on sale but not full price and dont waste money on add ons.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →CARS AND CHILDHOOD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The controller settings mess up on two player mode and there is no fixing them apparently. This is the only game with the problems. This is a game that is supposed to be easy enough for my kids. I can't even fix the darn problem and I don't feel like going down a rabbit hold for a kids game. Uninstalled. Not buying your next game either.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is frustrating to play overall compared to the first one. IMO the jump mechanics is just unintuitive to a racing game at all, and then they designed tracks to have this jump in mind, forcing you to use it, making this aspect very distracting. I'm not sure who asked for this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun racer, love that there are no crummy power ups or anything like that. It's just skillful driving that determines who wins, but in a fun, goofy environment. I played the first game too, and I really enjoyed that as well. Cars have a great feel to them, and the game feels really intense with the volume cranked up and headphones. I can absolutely recommend that. If the music is not to your taste, running your own music over the sound of your car roaring is fantastic! Negative, drift…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game activated the nvidia fps overlay without asking and also changed some general windows hotkeys it seems which are now activated in other games. Super annoying. The game itself, dunno. Ok I guess for the price. Not super creative nor visually inspiring environments it seems.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2 things alone destroy what could be an awesome game -AI races are garbage You either play on an easy difficulty and win easy or you play 1 undefeatable master whose car is clearly just faster than even possible to beat. Its actually worse than Forza Horizons AI somehow. At least on Forza when you get ahead of Unbeatable or Pro you can essentially race fair. In this game when you race real good to get ahead of the AI's clearly notably faster car, even when you knock them off where they miss a…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is basically the same as the first game with additional mechanics, better visuals, new tracks, and an awful storyline. If you liked the first game and want more of it, it's fantastic. Otherwise, it's an easy skip.
