unlabelledView post →THAT film had a few too many cooks but Dark Hero is purely the project of Steve Wang, a huge Toku fan who would later, with his brother, be massively responsible for Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, a series about as accomplished as American Toku could possibly be.

Not a good movie but I have an axiom, "I Enjoy Bad Movies" if they are entertaining. "The Hero" deemed a Good movie.

unlabelledView post →Something about European movies is just so interesting. It isn’t always about “plot”. It is frequently about how humans interact. While there was a bit of a plot to this movie, that was secondary to how the Anti-Hero just dealt with other people.
unlabelledView post →This was a great movie. Vanessa Redgrave and Jane Birkin (famous for the “Birkin Bag”). The movie is slow…and interesting. The Anti-Hero photographer (he is an asshole) captures something interesting on film, but it takes an hour to get there… Loved/hated the ending.
unlabelledView post →Just watched Our Hero, Balthazar (2025). Need to let this one settle in for a bit. I enjoyed it despite all the unlikable characters. It's a grim portrait of America, a sad film despite its darkly comedic moments, cos it all seems so tragically believable. An interesting film. #Filmsky #Moviesky 📽️

For him it all came down to one quote which, for years, he said was probably the most honest thing he's ever heard about life in a movie: "People are always talking ya about truth. All there is is bullsh, pardon my vulgarity here. Layers of it. One layer of bullsh on top of…
