Well... I gave it a good 2 hours; got the first 2 weapons and it just isn't doing it for me. The shooting feels really stiff and lacks a lot of impact that makes weapons feel good. I also felt that the level design needs a lot of work. I traveled to 5 sectors and the mostly consisted of: an elevator shaft and may 1 or 2 rooms off of the shaft itself and that's it. I restored power in 3 of the 5 sectors but it was very much the same thing each time: Find a power core place power core and maybe…

This is an awesome game. Not easy. If you liked the original System Shock games you will love this. Good: - Game play is perfect - a bit janky in places (dragging things, getting struck on chairs etc,,) but overall just feels old-school awesome. -Music is great -visuals are perfect for this type of game -love the inventory mini-game. It's a pain at times and I love it. Just make the subway your personal baggage train -puzzles are fun and lot's here in the way of items, upgrades and…

Really solid game so far if you enjoy more retro (quality) singleplayer games you can tell that this game was made by people who loved Dead Space and similar titles. I do enjoy the secrets they have in the map for you to find to and also something worth noting is there are many challenges/difficulties in this game ie ironman, 1hp and no flashlight just to name a few of the challenges/presets you can do on top of base game difficulty to tweak the difficulty to your preference.

Good visuals, solid controls, good weapon handing. Also a great premise; love the drip-fed story and the ambiance... but I *hate* the checkpoint save system. I come around a corner and get surprised by a large group of baddies after a long dry spell of no access to saves and suddenly you lose like an hour of progress. Why? Why do such a ♥♥♥♥ move on purpose? Frankly, why do checkpoint saves at all? And now that I know that the dev likes to do booby traps to exploit that (surprise attack…

Wow... what a great game. 10/10. Beats the snot out of other single player FPSs this year. I'm serious, this game is really REALLY good. The exploration, gunplay, resource management, lighting, enemies, graphics. The monorail system--and the individual level concepts themselves, with how power is restored in each block. It all works so wonderfully together. (On nightmare anyways) And honestly, the protagonist puts it over the top for me. ROCK ON you canonically unmocked, edge lord space…

This was fun for awhile it did scratch that "Prey 2017" itch that I needed, so I'm not giving a thumbs down and the game didn't cost much so there's that. The looting cabinets and level up system is spot on, the weapon combat feel was good enough, I liked you are able to block doors with items and cover up the air vents. The item placement in the levels is really good with things hidden well out of sight. Constructive criticism / the bad parts. There is some balance problems, not so much enemy…

This game is INCREDIBLY boring. The combat i got to experience was so clunky and uninspired. Each area feels exactly the same with just minor things moved. Exploration just feels kind of random. There really isnt any horror to it. just feels like any ambience it built is quickly replaced with "yep, gotta do this 100 more times"

Just played HELL OF FEAR: Mind Breach and wow, what a ride. As Major Axel Vex stranded in a dark, underground alien base, the tension is relentless. The mix of psychological horror, claustrophobic atmosphere, resource scarcity and unpredictable enemies creates an intense, immersive survival experience. The storytelling via logs and environmental clues adds real depth. If you like sci-fi horror and survival games with serious chills, this one’s a must-try.

A really solid indie survival horror-immersive sim, clearly taking a lot of inspiration from System Shock & Dead Space, but I think this does enough to just kind of be its own thing in that vein, it doesn't copy-paste the arsenal, enemies or all of the plot beats or every single mechanic, but does its own mix without feeling like it's missing any vital ingredient. As an indie game, credits seemed to list 2 main devs with some publisher help in localization and 2 artists and someone who did the…

I found this game to be both boring and frustrating. Even on the easiest difficulty, alien monsters become excessive swarming your position quickly in groups and dealing way too much damage. They also pop out of vents hurling projectiles at you and overwhelm you to the point that you might end up repeating the same battles over and over again like I did. Maybe you enjoy that type of gameplay, but I don't. You also can only save in certain spots and these are very far away from each other. Level…

👍 Pros * Great atmosphere, genuinely tense and creepy * Performance is very good – played at 4K above 60 FPS with no drops * Voice acting and sound design are strong and fair * Slow and confident pacing, doesn’t throw all weapons at you at once * Logs are well written and enjoyable to read * Problem solving feels rewarding – using barrels as cover against a turret was peak game design * Punishing save system adds real tension * No quest markers, encourages real exploration * Metroidvania…

Really, really awesome system shock inspired little creature. Gorgeous environments, with lots of secrets tucked away with a bit of classic immersive simmage to find your way to hidden reaches of rooms that are always really satisfying to discover. Shocking amounts of weapon variety, and an extremely rewarding if gruelling sense of progression on the high difficulties. Got its fair share of bugs so close to release, certain item pickups not being what they're supposed to be, sticky geometry,…

I liked it a lot! Only have 2 "issues" with the game, the layout of the map and the abundance of modules. I don't know if there is a recycle or way to sell em and held onto em (in the quantum box) but they took almost half of the box space. The layout of the map/lobby is repetitive as in every sector basically looks the exact same with some props added or missing. But when ur not in these lobbies they are fine enough and straight forward to find your way in. All in all I liked it a lot and…

I'll recommend this but with a lot of caveats. I don't want to bash indie devs with a clear passion for what they're doing, who clearly have some talent for it too. That said, I'm enjoying this game less than I expected, despite loving the old System Shock games, Prey and the entire "creepy space station where something has gone terribly wrong" sub-genre. The good: - the atmosphere. Sounds, visuals, lore bits, enemy design, all of this ties together well and manages to create that…

I had been following this game since the very beginning of its development. I really wanted to play it, but at this point, I’m simply tired. Pros; + Many features in the game are reminiscent of Deus Ex (2000). I've stuck in the middle (6/10) there is a lot to like for fans of System Shock. Understandably it is indie game made by 2 people so there are many cons. Like the inventory system, you can hack and possess turrets using items. Managed to complete after my saves was deleted in about 4 hours. Gameplay is like System Shock 2 inventory wise and similar in shooting. There is retro mode for pixel graphics. The problems: I lost save file after fighting final boss, that happened when trying to save…

This reminds me of Prey (2017). Not a lot of games scratch that itch right but this one is doing good. There is a lot of environmental story telling and monsters lurking in the dark. Throwing glow lights to distract enemies is a nice touch to add to the immersion but it doesn't feel like you HAVE to use them which I think is nice. You get to play the way you want whether it's stealthy, a gun maniac, or a melee fighter or a combination of the three. There are items hidden in every nook and…

Game is good so far. Enemies are hard to fight, especially those small spiders. With larger enemies, don't bother with melee, just shoot. It's a mix of Dead Space and System Shock. The game is exploration and you'll find out how to reach areas via exploration. i.e to find level 2 keys, keep searching level 1 areas, for level 3, search level 2 areas, etc. I like it. Inventory system is straight up but a little button learning curve, but you'll get it. Great game for the price and it's…

From the moment the battle began, this game stood tall in the arena. Every mechanic held firm, every system ran smooth, and not a single bug dared to cross our path. Tested under the watchful eyes of The Noble 300, it emerged unscathed—a true champion of design and execution.

A short fun game, only thing I wish is that the stealth was better but it feels a bit like the enemies have eyes in the back of their heads, the combat is fun enough to make up for this. Admittedly there is at least one enemy I genuinely don't like though, the ceiling crawlers have awful hitboxes and shots will pretty often pass straight through their bodies.

Excellent little light immersive sim. Great gun play, challenging gameplay. Slightly samey leel design but that actually starts to help rather than hinder after a while. I find myself coming back over and over again for another run. Some jank, sometimes you get stuck on things or pushed outside the level, but overall suprisingly well polished and very fun.

To whom it might concern: To start I liked the game. Having said that I feel I would be remiss if I didn't point out a few things. 1 I agree with the comments on the backpack storage system that sucks. 2 All weapons become available as you go. So even though you get shot gun ammo you wont get the shotgun till later... MUCH later depending on your choices. 3 Yes you can break the boxes with the blue light on them. I want to see more from this dev, and more polish going into the environment, level design and the UI elements. Weapon and build variety would also be welcome. It is pretty clear that a tremendous amount of effort went into developing and refining it. This was a really fun and atmospheric experience. I beat this entire game in about 10 and a halfish hours. Which honestly could have been cut down by an hour and a half because I needed to do a segment almost perfectly and hecked myself out of healing items and had to start it with 9HP and a Dream every time I got hit. Want to support independent developers? Ran out of System Shockalikes but need another fix? Then you've come to the right place. The influences are pretty obvious: An abandoned base, something went wrong, horror, weird creatures, zombies and hey, even a malevolent AI . Exploration is encouraged and often rewarded, even though sometimes you fight your way through hordes of monsters just to find a bag of chips.
