It took ages to load. And now I found out they're releasing long hair, but as a DLC!!? What? That should just be a base game feature. Craziness.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →20+ bucks for this game is crazy. Do not buy this, unless you can get this game for 5$/€ or less. The gameplay is really repetitive and boring, the haircuts / customers don't look good, especially the beards, and the game has some annoying bugs. I really wanted to love the game, but I gotta be honest with everybody - this game has too little quality to recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buyer Beware! This game has been out for such a short amount of time (a little over 2 weeks), and has racked up 8 MAJOR hotfix patches already, and STILL has game-breaking bugs that will either hinder your progress, or in some cases, destroy your saves altogether. And it was not even released as Early Access, so not sure where the playtesting even started with it (or even if it actually was. Right now, it seems that you pay for the privilege of the job). Definitely NOT worth the money as it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was very excited to get this game as i love the house flipper games and a bunch of other simulator games. However, you need an RTX 3060 as a recommended GC? thats insane given that I can play Hogwarts Legacy with a 3020 and 3050 as well as a bunch of other games, I will drop some of the issues I had that led to me getting a refund on this despite it being on sale: 1. The graphic requirement is insane, as stated above I can play a bunch of high detailed games with little to no issues so why…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to enjoy this game, I really do. However, just like others are saying, there's bugs galore. ESPECIALLY with the hair... You know, the thing that this game is CENTERED around. I can't even do the tutorial now without it acting up. Very game breaking because the tutorial girl's hair went from a full head of hair to NOW having massive portions missing. I can't do the wash after the color! I KNOW y'all can do better! Come on now!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I only write this review in hopes someone sees it and doesn't waste 20$+ The game is built purely on toothpicks & gum, assets with wonky sizes and shapes that hardly make sense. The game at it's core is incredibly broken. The hair & character models barely work in conjunction with the tools and furniture. It's just straight up cheeks. The vacuum is a micro ♥♥♥♥♥ compared to the door or even a chair. The creators didn't test their own game before releasing it out. Half the items/tools have…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game gets progressively worse with every update. Constant crashes, now hair is showing up shaved in sandbox mode. Constant bugs are piling up. It's now completely unplayable. Good scam for money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This unpolished game should have stayed in an Early Access state. More insultingly, they're releasing paid DLC that should have been a part of the base game.

unlabelledView post →very bad graphics on hair for it being a hairdresser game. i dont think its worth anything more then $10 max. Mobile hair games look better then this tbh..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game made my computer fan whirr so loudly i briefly started worry that it was mining bitcoin. i have a powerful computer capable of running modern games just fine, but i guess that rendering 1000s of terrible looking hair strands was simply too much for it to handle -- at least by what the devs have implied in their responses to other reviews on this page. the game crashed at least four times during the <2 hours i played it for. i just wanted to have a fun and silly time giving people bad…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As anyone can see, I have spent a lot of my time with this game, and I really enjoy it. As an actual cosmetologist, I was genuinely impressed with the hair cutting mechanics, and naively assumed the developers were aware that they had something special cooking here. Yes, there are bugs, it gets repetitive and boring after awhile, there are crucial game elements missing, and the DLC is a shameless ripoff (you have to pay 5 dollars to get beards and long hair? that's bullsh*t). But even today, I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OK i gotta say i like the game yes its fun when you start playing it. It is really glitchy and that's the thing that makes me not want to play it anymore. I beat all the courses and they barley have any and it was really confusing how to style hair but i finally got through that part. And I have 4 hair salons and now i cant travel to 2 of them and its irritating because i bought it and made it better and now i cant play it. But every time i try to go there the loading screen is done i cant get…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would recommend this game if the developers would fix it. This game has been out for almost a year now and they STILL haven't fixed the fact that you just can't play the beach salon after a while. There should not be game breaking bugs like that after a game has been out this long. The standard should not be releasing a broken game and then fixing it slowly. Make sure your game works before releasing it. I will hold off on purchasing games from this developer entirely from now on honestly,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unless you have the patience of a saint, this game is not for you. i've played through both house flipper and house flipper 2 multiple times and love them both. i was very excited about the release of this game. i waited for quite some time after initial release to purchase because i had read about the issues that were coming across at first. there have been multiple updates and still, the issues are not remedied. the game crashes SO often, multiple times within an hour of play. i have…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My first customer in the tutorial was bald. HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO CUT THEIR HAIR?!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First impression - this game has some bugs. By no means is it perfect. However, it is a fun game and it's relaxing. I am only giving it a thumbs up because I LIKE THE GAME, but no, I personally would not recommend this to anyone until the bugs are fixed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I waited to write this review because of course there was some initial frustration with how glitchy the game was. That said, I haven't had any issues in days and I am really starting to enjoy the game. Give it a chance!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a game with a fun concept that unfortunately falls a bit flat. Pair this with having insane GFX requirements and having frame issues on a PC that can run an EXTREMELY modded Baldur's Gate 3 on the highest graphics with no problems and a pretty boring gameplay loop it circles around to being a very sad disappointment. Definitely meant to be a game that a parent picks up to sate their daughter.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The devs have been quick to respond to player criticism, and I have noticed the game improving in leaps and bounds, but the fact remains that they released an unfinished game. It plays like it's still in beta and the bugs I've encountered seem like the sort of thing that should have been caught in routine playtesting. I want to like this game, and I think I will as it keeps getting better, but it's not there yet.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unplayable. the game is bugged and you cannot even get passed the tutorial. It seems to have been reported more than a few times on the community page with no responses from the devs. I went ahead and submitted another bug report. We'll see if there's a response. but save your money until its fixed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really fun concept for a game, and for the most part, I think they executed it well. It isn't easy making a game fun for more than 5 minutes when hairdressing is the main component. Same goes for how the hair cutting itself. What I feared the most before playing this was that I wouldn’t have free movement and will of my own to absolutely destroy my client's appearance, so I'm glad to say that you definitely can cut them to oblivion. Now the bads. It is very similar to all the other…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very buggy game. Crashes a lot part way through the day, meaning you have to start the whole day again. Since the last crash, I now cannot load my save
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashes constantly. I have a pretty decent PC, and I cannot get through day 3 without a crash, even on the lowest settings. I purchased this on sale for $12.99 and requested a refund because it is basically unplayable. This is after their "major update to fix stability" so I suggest waiting for them to fix this game before purchasing. The update did not fix the problems.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sadly, ive just bought this game and cant even finish the first teaching Course in the Tutorial, without it crashing and everything being gone. I restarted from scratch 5 times and... nothing, sadly im really dissapointed to find out a lot of people have this problem.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love simulator games and was thoroughly disappointed... Graphics are subpar and it was just plain boring. Skip this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love these types of games and I am very familiar with their glitches and in general they do not bother me. This one takes it to an entirely unplayable level. The game itself is fun, when it wants to work. The tools are sensitive which gives it a bit of an extra layer of, I believe, unintended challenge. Visually the graphics are a bit dopey, and some of the faces the characters make are downright comical but the texture of the hair, the way it reacts to the players actions is pretty awesome.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Step 1: Wet hair with shower Step 2: Apply conditioner Step 3: Wash out conditioner Step 4: Dry hair Step 5: Comb hair Step 6: Shave it all off? Doesn't even make any sense. Its an alright game but same stuff over and over again after a while.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →0/10 went in knowing the game would be bad, but got it in a bundle so i thought i would give it a try unable to play crashing on launch...... dosnt work on my pc or steam deck. i left the game up crashed to farm steam cards. have no play time what so ever on this game did spend 15+ minutes trying to get it working tho
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just nope. Janky. I think this was made for bored 11 year old girls. Refunded.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is so dissapointing that in all this time your game is still as broken as it was when i bought it around launch. I took a break for over a year because there was one white glowing light in my salon that annoyed me come back and there are now more. there in between each wall and floor "square" you paint. Also ive been playing for a hour already and i have had to reset my game 3 times due to complications. I don't recommend this game at all as it seems they've never cared. They saw a untapped…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game made me feel 30 years younger because the loading times are comparable to those on Commodore 64 from a Datasette player. But once the tedium of watching the loading screen is behind you, the game tends to crash on you super fast. Got it in a bundle but still would want a full refund for the frustration it has caused me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had to buy this game on my PS5 because my computer couldn't run it which is hard to believe since I can run other games with better graphics and have no problem. The game is glitchy on the the PS5 as well. It freezes are makes the clients heads look stretched. I bought it at discount. The PS5 does not have the DLC which should be part of the original game to begin with. I would not recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →buggy, slow to load and crashes, I got a refund despite it being on sale.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, previously had crashing issues but the dev team made a lot of effort over a couple weeks to try and fix this for me, great support from GameFormatic
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasn't even able to finish the tutorial every time I got to the hair dying part the game crashed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The people look like freaks, the mechanics are awkward, and the different wood options for furniture are BLEAK. They released a broken game, so now they release patches that break said base game even more (usually over the weekend, so you can't contact technical support), and rely on their consumers to send in fix requests and feedback to tell them what to do about their, yeah, broken game. I can't believe they only released beards and mustaches last week (6/30/2024) when that was a key part…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommend the game if you have a pc for it, if you are like me that play on a potato, just wait until you get a better pc. Better go play house flipper that still working on my potato. From the lives and youtuve videos look awesome so I will recommend the game, yet remember what I said about pc needing to be good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Save your time and money. This game will only frustrate you and make you question your own ability to handle a comb. I’d rather just cut my hair in real life and risk it. At least then I can blame it on my lack of skill, not a glitchy game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A hairdresser simulator, with bad hair models and physics. 'Nuff said. Edit To answer Dev's question I tried to give your game another chance, but I can't stand the awful hair. And it has nothing else to offer. Now I'm letting it run just to get cards.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game had everything to be perfect. Unfortunately, its filled with bugs. It was a very nice try, but, like we say in Brazil, it swims a lot, only to die by the beach. 2/10.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While there's a lot of promise, here, the simulation itself is pretty shallow, despite all the tools. Whether you're careful with the styling tools or fling the mouse around without looking at the screen, you get the same outcome, and it rarely looks good. :/ I'd love to see a bit more responsiveness to how the styling tools are actually applied. I'd also like to see a bit more rationality in how the game asks you to style and treat different hair types, as the steps it asks of you are often…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the game, love the concept, love the options you get BUT: - I played for not even 2 hours and it crashed two times (in the same in-game day also, or at least I believe so) - How can my computer be below minimal req. if I can comfortably play RDR2 or other stuff on pretty high details? - The tutorial got kinda stuck, I can still play normally but it is stuck on the hiring stage (And I had to buy additional stuff to even hire somebody but it still doesn't somehow count) - Those people…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Used to like the game before the update. Now it keeps glitching, the wash station doesn't want to work half the time, and its been randomly kicking me out of the game making it hard to get past more than 1 day before getting kicked off
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredibly buggy
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have just wasted hours of my life on this stupid game that I can not get back. I have played this game since yesterday afternoon and it has been fun don't get me wrong. But the game keeps crashing when I get to a certain point. And I even tried to save after every day in game and it will not save my progress. I am so upset I have wasted so much time on this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you want to actually have complete control of styling the hair don't get this game! This is game has a very slow click and drag down only mechanic that you use on sections of the hair, and your mouse doesn't really have full control of the hair. The tutorial had a game breaking glitch in the first 15 minutes, and I had to restart the game. I got to the renovation part, and it was just like the hair styling, every action was automated with a mouse click. I had way more fun playing Toca Boca…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been having a good time with this game and do recommend it, however I've noticed glitches with the npc's (keep walking into the workers and stay in a walking motion), the scissors/ comb and shower head can get very buggy. I'm excited for the long hair dlc coming out in Dec., as I really think the base game needs it badly, right now it's so focused towards short hair cut styles and I would love variety. Ideas: Would be awesome to see nails and makeup for women come into the game as dlc!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to love this game as I've played a lot of their games in the past, and as a hair stylist IRL I was intrigued. But the controls are clunky, and trying to use the clippers was such a pain, I gave up after my 2nd client. I also felt like it took more time to set up your salon than it did to do the tutorial and your first few clients. If I wanted to clean up a space and redecorate, I'd move over to House Flipper...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh god, what a simple game. Too simple I would say. Same type of hair everytime. Will uninstall and wait a few months for updates (If they arrive)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥ RECOMMENDED: YES ♥ ♥ COMPLETE REVIEW TL;DR: game good, game fun, minor glitches, gameplay can clunky, devs very active, tons of customization ♥ ♥ PROS ♥ + Semi-realistic hair engine makes for a unique gameplay experience + Each step requires a semi-realistic level of precision and care + Hair cutting requires you to move and hold sections of hair, similar to cutting hair in real life + You can unlock many salons, which keeps the environment fresh and gives builders plenty of room to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I read the reviews and I took a chance. I wish I didn't - I am so disappointed by this game. It has so much potential but when the whole point of it being a hairdressing game and the hair itself is so glitched it disappears, changes colour to chromatic where its bugged and is such bad quality you can't actually play the same. The mechanics and the potential was there but I would AVOID this game until they fix issues.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i cant leve laoding screen
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, I'm a big, big fan of Frozen District; I absolutely adore the House Flipper game as well as other games they've been involved with. But this one... I'm sad to say, I absolutely hate it. It feels clunky, like the game had been rushed. I didn't like how you were meant to interact with the hair, not to mention the really poor animation/graphics on the hair. There's no difference in how you work with different hair types. Don't get me started on actually attempting to cut the hair. I had the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DEVELOPER is to lazy to fix any bugs doesnt care about their games only cares about the money side of the game! should make the game free! their bugs nottting was fixed! This game is great but when you load the game it freezes on the menu and takes a while to allow you to select any options and also when you get to level 13 on wards and you own 3 to 4 salons the game freezes up when you save the game and doesn't respond like it should do and when you go to load the save file the game doesnt…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love to play simulator games... but this is Trash. I have nothing else to say, thank you
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, I really enjoyed this game. There were so many negative comments which made me hesitate to buy this, but as I usually love Frozen's games, I jumped on this too. And it is fun! Been waiting for this type of game for awhile. However, the graphics are not great. The developers could use some time to tweak those. I don't really have problem with the UI, but the characters and the hair (as this is a Hairdresser game) could use some work. What I would love to see is if the gameplay design…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3/10 Honestly, even with the constant patch fixes, I'm extremely dissapointed. I've had to restart multiple times due to the game not having enough controller support. I've been hopeful they'd update the controls so they are more user friendly but they definitely haven't. Small quality of life updates are great but they don't focus on game ruining bugs. I don't use mouse and key and this game is NOT controller friendly at all. The UI on your salon tablet barely works, or it freezes completely.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My +100 hours progress are gone because you are careless.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i've been waiting for this game since way before it got released. finally thought i'd try it since it was on sale only to get in 11 minutes of gameplay and it crashing twice(both times before i even managed to move the client after washing her hair). even on all low to zero graphics settings. unfortunately deciding to return it, but i might try it again later if i see more positive reviews and that bugs and stuff have been fixed.
