There are a lot of core issues with this game too. For example you're supposed to divide your casino into sections where each different type of guest has specific needs and enjoys certain things. This sounds nice until you run into the problem that all the guests wander everywhere in the casino, they don't seem to know to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OVERPRICED! Why? Lack of content, freedom, and ANY tycoon attribute by a tycoon standard. A tycoon game has the freedom to build, manage, design, and make your casino great. Not here... template type... direction and VERY repetitive. GST is a puzzle placement simulator and not a true Casino Tycoon game with any freedom. Also, the game starts with someone's saved file in slot 1, so attention to detail, not a strong signal in testing. The developer asked for clarification, we provided it.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I followed this game for a while and wanted to like it. I couldn't even get past 20 minutes when I realized that its a puzzle game, not a true tycoon/management sim. The guest happiness system doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me and it becomes increasingly tedious. Because of this tetris like system, you don't really have the opportunity to customize or even have any kind of strategy to make a successful casino. At this point its following the list of items that need to be checked off and…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What bothers me the most about this game is if you take your time to get it right. You will never be able to accomplish your goals. You will always be in debt. There are also items that do not seem to attract any players. You lose money, because the object in question is useless, but you absolutely need it to advance in your goals. I believe this game has potential, but it doesn't feel complete.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was looking forward to this game as ive played casino RPG and needless to say the game has been very disappointing. hardly anything to actaully do in game, cant play any of the games, forces you group people based on needs but then wander and everyone gets angry.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting game, you are tasked with handling different customer groups and tailoring their casino experience to their liking. Of course there are groups that conflict with each other so you cannot start a casino blindly without paying attention to your customer base. Only encountered a minor bug, which I posted in the community discussions with character movement, not a game ruining bug. Game includes a narrated tutorial to set the "mood", a large amount of campaign "missions", and a sandbox…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, right off the bat - the title is a bit of a misnomer. Grand Casino Tycoon is a good game, but it's a good -puzzle- game. The game features great artwork, a charming aesthetic and some really spectacular voice acting. Austin Powders in particular had me smiling all through the first mission. The background noise of casino goers also helps set a great mood for the game itself. The gameplay, as it stands, should be viewed as a puzzle. This has both good and bad to it, but I thoroughly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Grand Casino Tycoon is a cinical reminder on why the house always wins. It's not a free-building tycoon where you can place objects as you wish expecting that "it'll work out" - as in the real casino there is an intention behind each zone and object. After finishing a few levels I've got a strong Theme Hospital + Evil Genius vibe with a strong emphasis on proper placement of objects and an additional layer of management to ensure the satisfaction of all customers. Luckily you're not managing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this game for a while at first I didn't understand that I need to separate the players by the routine and therefore I was stuck with low popularity. After that 9 hours passed in a blink of an eye... I like the humor of the players and the easter eggs in the game (American beer) :) Feature request: Want to move multiple items at once please
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First impression: The game lacks possibilities and content. You are very limited in what you can build. All in all, I would rate the game as ok but nothing overwhelming. I don't see it as very challenging. Recommending this game, it depends. Its a bit pricey so i wouldn't at the moment.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My intension to get the game was to try a new management simulation game and the idea of planning/constructing a casino with all the entertaining requirements for the guests was the selling point for me. My first interactions with the game weren´t as good as I hoped, because I had some issues starting it on my end and it took me some time to get used to the user interface. After those initials obstacles I was surprised by the gameplay, and it made a lot of fun to build the casino and keep all…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You have to carefully design your casino to fit the needs of many different kinds of gamblers. It is helpful that they all follow a fixed path through the casino, so you can plan accordingly. The characters are funny and I like the art style. The title screen was a bit of a shock (looks horrible), but the game itself looks nice.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's alright it lacks freedom though.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →mm yes the sweet smell of addictions forming
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun tycoon game! Things I like about it: - Gamblers are sorted into different types (posh, compulsive, slot machine zombies etc). Each gambler type wants a different gambling experience, so the trick is in balancing the needs of each type with the limited space/money you have. - Each gambler likes to do certain things in a certain order, eg: start with a drink, then move on to slot machines, then get a bite to eat, then move on to a card table, repeat. It simultaneously reminds you these…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love this game, I played the demo endlessly.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed the first bit of the game I tried so far. Though this is definitely more of casual/puzzle-like tycoon game than a hard-core simulator.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game does not work on launch
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game all the babies giving bad reviews just don't enjoy challenging games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First I was a bit hesitated to buy the game, but I always liked strategical build and development games, so I gave it a shot. The first interactions in the game were a bit challenging, because the user interface and also the control menus aren´t as intuitive. Later on I was able to find my way through the control menus and all the options. As more I progressed in the game as harder it got to manage all different kinds of gamblers and their desires or dislikes. Especially with limited space and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is good and really enjoy the details and animation this game put in compared to rescue HQ although I wish you guys can add back into this game steam workshop for custom machines and npcs would be really nice.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun but also buggy so if you have spare money or in big sale you can buy it but without sale not really worth it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More puzzle game then sim. Bad pathfinding, just wasn't what I expected.
