unlabelledView post →This is hardly an original sentiment, but I truly love how horror fans will say, “That movie traumatized me. I see it in my nightmares. It holds an arcane power. Let’s rewatch it!” (Yes, I am rewatching GONJIAM: HAUNTED ASYLUM and absolutely dreading That Moment.)

unlabelledView post →Last night I watched "Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum" with some friends. Probably the most scared I've been while watching a horror movie. But looking back it this morning, I think the story was okay and I don't know if any of the scares are that unique, but the way they built tension was so good.

unlabelledView post →About 25 minutes into the South Korean found footage horror film, Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum. Taking a break now because honestly, I've got to be in the right mood for a found footage flick. I will continue watching the film a bit later.
unlabelledView post →Taiwan Killer Hospital (2024) Review - Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital is a remake/based on Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum..
unlabelledView post →I’ve added Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum to the #HorrorWatch Letterboxd list. This is the the 52nd movie we have watched together, and it was a good one. Thanks to @pauljessup.com for running the polls and fostering this community. I can’t wait to see what movies we are going watch together next.
unlabelledView post →A GONJIAM rewatch is setting the tone for Monday morning. My essay for @secondsightfilms.bsky.social on Hell Joseon in GONJIAM, or why the film is surprisingly political, is one of my favourite things I’ve ever written.
unlabelledView post →Watched Gonjiam Haunted Asylum few nights ago with my family. It was surprisingly very creepy. Loved it lots
unlabelledView post →Now watching: ‘Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum’, dir. Jung Bum-shik, 2018. A found footage movie in which it makes sense that everyone has a camera because they're all producing content for YouTube or other social media platforms. 🎥🎬
unlabelledView post →#PlotTober A little while ago, I rewatched series 3 of the Korean variety show The Zone, and one episode has our intrepid players discover the truth of a haunted location. It was a nod to Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum (very fun movie), but it reminded me of the UK reality show Most Haunted, where a... 1/

unlabelledView post →We were watching Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum.
unlabelledView post →Just watched Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum. What a blast! I'm not a huge found footage guy but this hit all the right buttons. Definitely indebted to say, Grave Encounters, but a much better movie overall.

unlabelledView post →Here's a fun question: What's your favorite movie in a genre you HATE? I loathe 98.4% of Found Footage Films, they just don't do it for me (other exceptions: Creep, As Above So Below, Gonjiam) but the best two i have ever seen are definitely these:
unlabelledView post →Happy #HorrorWatch — tonight’s movie is Gonjiam (Haunted Asylum) and this is the thread/hashtag to mute if you don’t wanna hear about it from me.
unlabelledView post →Very interesting film tonight! I love getting exposed to stuff I wouldn't watch otherwise. Which hopefully will be the case for some of you when we watch Gonjiam next week! Talk about a different movie. Looking forward to watching with you all again, as always! #horrorwatch

unlabelledView post →#Horror film rec of the day: Gonjiam Haunted Asylum (2018) A group live stream their investigation of a supposedly haunted abandoned asylum. A common premise done incredibly well. One of the scariest found footage films I've ever seen, if not THE scariest. #horrorsky

unlabelledView post →Followed that up with Gonjiam Haunted Asylum, a very similar found footage movie. This one is newer and better in most ways than Grave Encounters, but not as scary. That said, one scene in particular in Gonjiam was an all timer in terms of making me poop myself. IYKYK ... 💀 // #Filmsky #Horror

unlabelledView post →#100HorrorMoviesIn92Days 2026 33) 곤지암 / Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum (2018) dir. Jung Bum-shik Fun live footage horror. I like that it was done as live, not found, it was really immersive and I liked how the views/clicks amped up the motive and stakes by themselves letterboxd.com/film/gonjiam...
unlabelledView post →Gonjiam is easily the scariest movie I’ve ever seen. The sense of dread they were able to build is exquisite
unlabelledView post →Oh, any movie about a tv/film crew investigating a haunting. Blair Witch Project, Ghostwatch, Grave Encounters, Deadstream, Gonjiam Haunted Asylum, Ju-On: The Grudge 2, etc.

unlabelledView post →What is your favorite found footage film? Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum
unlabelledView post →I sat down to watch Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum one night. The scariest part of the film was being jumpscared by Amazon's AI English dubbing. I have no regrets with canceling my subscription.

unlabelledView post →movie reviews Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum - Fun characters. Great build up to the spooks. And a lot of unique spooks I've never seen. Smile 2 - Great execution and pacing. Naomi Scott KILLED it. Really made me want a third. Rule of Jenny Pen - Made me hate John Lithgow in the best way. Great, painful
unlabelledView post →Feels like a Found Footage kind of movie week. Been wanting to watch Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum for ages given how scary its supposed to be and The Borderlands is meant to be an under-rated gem in the genre. Excited to watch them.

unlabelledView post →I'm about a day late here but i recently saw a good korean horror movie called Gonjiam The Haunted Asylum and i fucking loved it, if you haven't seen it yet you might dig it
unlabelledView post →Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital Its actually based off the movie Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum (they even name drop the movie) one of the best (and scariest) Found Footage films. While this one isn’t able to match it, it still proves a creepy watch with a good amount of meta horror.
unlabelledView post →Film 2: Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum Oh man this movie is a banger❗ If you liked Grave Encounters then you will feel (dreadfully) right at home. The atmosphere, twists and tension are great!
unlabelledView post →Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum is a high recommend from me, i think its my favorite Asian horror film. Not too scary and is a lot of fun and has an interesting premise
