unlabelledView post →EXHUMA is a hell of a lot of fun for what it's about, escalating from a movie about a family haunted by the ghost of fascism past to a story of a whole country (S. Korea) haunted by the atrocious anima of Japanese imperialism, resolving into full on (slick) monster B-movie w/ lashings of folklore.
unlabelledView post →📽️ We watched Exhuma tonight (finally!) and I'm so glad we chose it for tonight. No review - I'm taking the day/night off - but it's as great as everyone said!
unlabelledView post →I don't know what is going on, but I've been on a movie binge lately; watching "Exhuma" next. Happy Thursday! 🎬📽🎟

unlabelledView post →I finally watched The Piano Lesson and it is hands down the best acted film of the year. It unseated Exhuma as my favorite horror film and I think John David Washington and Danielle Deadwyler give outstanding performances. It's on Netflix. Please watch it before you cast your ballots as critics.
unlabelledView post →#Exhuma and #AKillerParadox were named the Most-Watched and Reviewed Movie and Drama of 2024, according to Watchapedia's year-end report.
unlabelledView post →Last night I watched Exhuma (2024)… I’ll pretty much watch anything with paranormal investigators, it’s one of my favorite movie tropes. This started out slow and got more and more awesome as things progressed. Choi Min-sik (from Oldboy) is the lead and he’s wonderful.
unlabelledView post →The film #Exhuma has won the Jury Special Award at the 2024 Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival. Congratulations to the cast and crew!
unlabelledView post →I'm having such a good movie year. Maxxxine, long legs, twisters, Exhuma... And I've been watching some of the movies off the 'top 100 indie horror movies you've never seen' list. Finally saw Godzilla Minus One. I had a hustler/color of money double feature. Love to be entertained.
unlabelledView post →Exhuma is such a great movie.
unlabelledView post →A really interesting thread about the film #Exhuma. We recommend it if you want to learn more about the lore surrounding the movie’s story and characters.
unlabelledView post →The Korean occult film Exhuma has inspired a new spinoff webtoon series that launched on Saturday.
unlabelledView post →#LastFourWatched time - it’s all spooky up in here. Exhuma was excellent, Steppenwolf was grueling, The Wolf Man was surprisingly dull, and Titane was overwhelming. Only half of #Hooptober left to go! 📽️
unlabelledView post →One more boost for "Exhuma" on Shudder, a damn fine supernatural horror flick from South Korea that makes you think it's one kind of movie in the front half before doing a hard swerve into darker, more threatening territory.

unlabelledView post →For anyone interested in an analysis of Korean (and Japanese) shamanism as it relates to the Korean movie #Exhuma (and for that matter #kdramas like #Revenant & #MoonEmbracingtheSun), this is a terrific (& terrifying!) thread
unlabelledView post →Film recap from the horror trenches, personal list, in order. 1. Exhuma. 2. When Evil Lurks. 3. The Substance. 4. Abigail. 5. Oddity.
unlabelledView post →My top film, just in general, of the year is either Monkey Man or Exhuma.
unlabelledView post →What are your top 3 horror movies of 2024 so far? The Substance Exhuma The Coffee Table Bonus: Terrifier 3 was a well needed midnight movie. Give me more sleazy gorefests in the theaters please ❤️
unlabelledView post →I watched Exhuma last night & I'm STILL thinking about it! I loved it so much! I was listening to a podcast talk about it, & it was interesting to hear their POV w/ no prior knowledge of Korea's history w/ Japan. Because that history is symbolised throughout the WHOLE movie (even at the beginning).

unlabelledView post →Welcome back to the #hauntalong! Today I'm going to make the pitch for watching EXHUMA (2024), a Korean film about funereal practices, magic, and hauntings. (And a bit about Japan and the Korean War.) First off: one thing that elevates a horror movie is protagonists who are good at what they do.
unlabelledView post →So awesome to see Shudder get more love. And finally! A shout out for Exhuma! Awesome film that needs to lead into an urban fantasy TV series!
unlabelledView post →If not for Exhuma, it would've been the best horror film I've seen this year, and it's only May
unlabelledView post →Do you like Korean horror films? EXHUMA about a very messed up exorcism is one of the most successful S Korean movies of all time there after a few weeks of release, beating Dune 2. And it’s playing in a few cities in the US this weekend. Trailer here theatres below: youtu.be/lpqVbCMmqj8?...

unlabelledView post →Today a friend showed me this movie, amazing horror movie without major gore or crazy stuff, just good horror Worth watching if you are in a Halloween mood Exhuma goes into one of my favorite horror movies
unlabelledView post →Love love love this film, and it's a crime that it hasn't gotten an English-friendly release yet. Big bonkers fun that'll appeal to fans of EXHUMA.
unlabelledView post →Gonna start posting reviews from this WOC-led horror list. Here’s what I had to say about Exhuma on Horror Movie Blog. horrormovieblog.com/exhuma-dead-...
unlabelledView post →Exhuma is kinda goated thriller/horror movie! It's really cool seeing it navigate traditional and modern Korean occult themes.
unlabelledView post →My ★★★★ review of Exhuma boxd.it/7D5R4n Overstuffed South Korean chiller is like 2 films in one. Experts exhume grave to quell vengeful spirit cursing its ancestors. But wait? Could something more nefarious be waiting? EXHUMA resets after an hour. Another crisis. Terrific. #filmsky #horrorsky 📽🎬
unlabelledView post →It was such a trip to see a Korean film in a US theater after living in Korea for nine years. The movie (Exhuma or 파묘) was great, too, a fascinating folk horror about shamanism for wealthy clients, the feng shui of burial grounds, and the legacy of Japanese imperialism as a kind of family curse
unlabelledView post →Han Dong-seok's The Sin (2023, now on Tubi) is an absolutely demented film that mixes Exhuma, The Wailing, The Witch and Suspiria (Guadagnino version) in a blender and spits them all back out as very much some other kinda thang. A bit like taking The Guest (K-TV) and compacting it into two hours.
unlabelledView post →For Luke, I would want to cast Lee Do-hyun entirely because of his role in one of my favorite movies, Exhuma 😂😂 he did a phenomenal job as someone who is devoted both to his work and his person, and has the same solemn air Luke would hold.
unlabelledView post →#YooAhIn reportedly will return in the upcoming film Vampire, directed by #JangJaeHyun (Exhuma). The team is still in the early stages of developing an original korean story, inspired by Bram Stoker's Dracula. "I want to create a vampire film set in the Russian Orthodox Church".
unlabelledView post →Exhuma--a really interesting Korean film. We learn about Korean beliefs re the afterlife, shamanism to placate ancestral spirits, still carried out by modern people, eerie Japanese intermixings and oh--it's a #horror film. But it's sort of like a horror film within a horror film. Patience pays off.

unlabelledView post →Giving Exhuma a rewatch. I feel like it's a film that I'll grow to appreciate more on each viewing
unlabelledView post →This was why I mentioned in my Review that #Exhuma was not simply a horror movie, but it's a love letter to Korean Mudang ritual that has survived for decades as well as a sharp critic towards Japan occupation period of Korea. Something that absolutely will be missed without these contexts.
unlabelledView post →I just watched the Korean film Exhuma and I highly recommend, y’all.
