Several units are built for AI only: suicidal, expendable, either overtuned or pure annoyance. Not talking about bosses or quest minions. Necromancers: a unit useful only after something is already dead. Works for AI. Fails for player. Roughly 30% of melee classes are dead weight. Stun orcs: too weak to engage, too slow to reach archers, too low damage to kill DD. To…

Either way, Gladiator Guild Manager is a fun little game. The concept is easy to understand — you build a team of fighters, you make them punch and zap each other in small arenas, and then you do it again, but with slightly fancier boots. The campaign gives you a nice reason to keep playing. The endless mode is there if you want to feel like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Once again, expectations got the best of me, I only paid around 3 euros for this so it isn't too bad. It is sold as a management game; there is almost no management here. It is primarily an auto battler with focus on team composition and lite town building mechanics. I felt nostalgic playing it, very reminiscent from the early 2000s, playing a flash game after school for the afternoon on Kongregate's website. Sense of humor was a little bit corny and silly, totally up my alley though, and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you’re looking for a deep tactical manager, look elsewhere. While the initial few hours are addicting, the 'strategy' quickly devolves into just finding the one or two meta compositions that work and spamming them. The UI is a bit clunky, and the progression systems feel like they're designed to waste your time rather than challenge your brain.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played for 9.5 hours in 1 run when I first got it. After saving and reloading the game just crashes when my next battle starts. It'd be a nice chill game if you could save/load lol
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game starts off well enough. At first, the scope is small, the systems are easy to understand, and it feels like there might be a satisfying management loop underneath it all. Unfortunately, as time goes on, the game expands wide instead of deep. Rather than giving you meaningful ways to develop the gladiators you already have, it keeps throwing new buildings and new gladiator types at you, many of which you cannot realistically afford to use properly. If you are even slightly a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Should have just been a few dollars mobile game. Do not pay more than 5$ for this. Autobattle with limited priority target controls. Resource aquisition to upgrade base buildings to allow hiring different types of units.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, I really tried to give this one a fair chance... Ultimately the AI of your units (which is the most important part in an auto battler!!!) is so bloody dumb that you will be pulling out any hair you can find on your body from the constant frustration. Before battle you can set "Priority points" for your units so that the rock-dumb AI can figure out how to behave but even that doesnt help. Your units will run between units as if they dont have priorities even when one side is specifically…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played with no expectations and it was extremely enjoyable. I recommend you try it; it's definitely worth the money 90/100
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game apparently has a bug that can corrupt your save file and make you lose all your progress. Buyer beware.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the idea of it, but it doesn't really work out. There is no balance. Sometimes you wipe the other team, sometimes you get wiped. There is no strategy. You can build a tank, but the enemies will just ignore it. Clever positioning matters very little. And with autocombat you can just sit there and watch your guys make bad decisions. Sometimes your lone guy fighting 8 archers goes for the enemy archer and kills him, sometimes he stops a few hits short and decides to walk to the other side…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unplayable. There's a glitch that's been around for MULTIPLE years where random units will perpetually stand still and not attack. Indefinitely, in all current and future rounds. You literally cannot play the game like this. It's happened to 3/8 of the gladiators I have and there's no known way to fix it. This is horrible guys.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is simply no balance, it's a free-for-all where you can provide some help, but ultimately your enemies are always tons of levels ahead of you, and the only way to win is to grind and die countless times. Your level 19 Orc Warrior is useless, because the Shop will always sell a stronger Orc Warrior. Bosses arrive at purely random levels: prepare to fight level 200 Behemoth while you're still level 15, at the same time you have limited-time quests that also spawn, and you can't finish…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have no problem with difficulty. I have no problem with weird combos; finding them to use or them being used against me (training for using them myself). I actually love the upgrade system and overall auto-battler style. The the lack of keybinds in (seemingly) obvious locations, the inability to set starting battle speed (so i can watch the starting fireworks instead of the occasional "fight is over in 3 seconds and wth happened"), the crashes in monthly arena causing you to LOSE ALL FIGHT…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1. I have to drag my gladiators to board every time. I would love to have a one click deploy button, could be the highest level ones or a preset etc. 2. Every time I open the game, it is going to show the devs+publishers+kickstarter backer. Just stop showing them after first time or one esc could skip them all. 3. You get a huge ad in the starting screen. I understand this is a good way to expose your new game, but it's so big, to the point of being annoying. However the overall experience is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is the game good? Just bought it on special at 5$.. haven't slept in 11 hours yet.. Very addictive friends. Worth the price for 5$ if you like to strategize. Many people say that it's boring and you only use one comp. "WRONG". I've been on this 11 hours straight and every groups are different which requires different strategy for different mobs or boss. There is no "perfect' comp to achieve this game. You have to make trial and errors and figure it out. PROS - SFX is pretty good. - Graphic…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honest review: Pretty good game, it has technically 3 different endings, and will take you about 4-5 hours to complete each. The story is silly. Its pretty fun and unique tactical game. I got it for free, so I'm going to say it is worth it. Would I pay for it..... I'd pay a dollar or two for it. If you like honest reviews, please hit that like button or troll me in comments. Have a great day!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Welcome, Guild Manager Gladiator Guild Manager is a refreshing and well-balanced mix of strategy, management, and simulation set in a vibrant fantasy world. Players take on the role of a guild master, responsible for recruiting, training, and leading a team of gladiators into battle. What starts as a modest operation quickly evolves into a complex system of resource management, tactical planning, and character progression. The game excels by combining depth with accessibility, offering a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the concept but there is too little variety in builds, units dont matter and u have to manage alot of em. All items are basic. Far too many things to choose from when its all the same anyways. A better approach would be to have a smaller team, stay with the gladiators u choose for a while and give em some more variety or perks that makes em stand out and not just be another basic unit of X type. The matches are also basic since u fight the same glads but just more of em etc, its a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is what could be called a "Click end turn" simulator, as the majority of your time is spent repeatedly waiting for the next event, which is rarely any different from the 500 previous events. I love the look, and premise of this game, but there's SERIOUS balance issues. I can't overstate that strongly enough. There are several incredibly powered units, and many, MANY you never need to use. The skill upgrade resources are insanely tight, and you'll never max out more than a couple…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very, VERY good game held back by a plague of minor QoL issues. At it's core, it's very good! There's a ton of different units you can hire, a lot of different strategies you can plot out, tons of items you can equip on them, perks you can train them in, and there's even a faction system that can vastly change how you build your army of gladiators. For example, if you side with the Baroness, you'll be able to recruit high-end royal guards focusing a lot of being bruisers, but if you side with…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OK, I slept on it and came back another day to try again.. I learned a few things and am enjoying the game past four-skull difficulty. If you have a lv2 gladiator and your other gladiators are lv4-5, you don't train it up.. it'll die in battle and earn 0xp. You just have to sell it and buy a higher leveled one. Also remove the equipment away from the gladiator before you sell it or they will take it with them. The main way to earn materials is from championships; have enough gladiators to field…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Annoying forced advertisement on the main menu that is animated and doesn't go away when we start clicking buttons, like the load button. It's a scummy move and I don't intend to buy anything else from this dev because of it.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The sprites are kinda cute the humor is intresting the game loop is kinda stale and the length is kinda short it feels like there was more to be had but it seems like its been abadoned but its worth its money for a couple days worth of fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played this game for 375 hours. In Tournament I got a score of 660 after a few days of play. I was keen to improve but NEVER got more than 400 since. WHAT THE HELL... Don't know whats changed, but very P....d O.f
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lost my save game in the campaign. It reset all my progress with almost unlimted ressources (almost looks like it is in cheat mode)....So the game is useless to me now if this keeps happening.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game, the narration-style and funny story are refreshing. With some better balancing, RNG control and QoL (carpal syndrome, no keyboard shortcuts) it could be much more, but still well worth it.

unlabelledView post →solid 6/10 - weak 7/10 good: lot of classes. different races with similar overall balance across the board. Lot of options Large amount of different battle. Reasonably grindy bad: Repetitive Some build are just superiors to others. You end up creating a perfect response for each situation. Getting to the venture unlocking and making the first classes where you're losing more is actually the great part here. But as you get to 12-15 gladiators you kind of don't need more and can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Annoying. Every little thing is designed, intentionally or not, to annoy in some way. The quests are annoying, the tooltips are annoying, the start options are annoying, the troops themselves are annoying. The devs have managed to make everything in such a way that it all feels like a series of microaggressions against the player. I sincerely did not enjoy the entire 0.6 hrs i played at all. It all feels just bleh to me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fundamentally, I am just confused at some of the gameplay design choices: 1. The game doesn't really explain... anything. Which units counter which units, why you might want to upgrade buildings vs. buy gladiators, etc. You might drop into a battle and realize that it allows for 6 gladiators when you only have 4. 2. Having the player advance time doesn't do anything for agency and just allows for suboptimal play when, for example, a battle that could be taken is missed. 3. Similarly, you can…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun but it's not very deep. Unbalanced and quirky. Expect very little quality of life (You will be dragging the same 10-12 characters on the board for EVERY battle in late game)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun manager game, but make sure to get this game on sale its pretty simple and does not have allot going for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I get this game is an auto battler, but there is literally nothing interesting to do. Your gladiators don't get injured, don't tire out. You don't need to manage their mood, availability, anything. Game has a ton of classes, but as far as I can tell (after ~1hr of playing), there is zero reason to get more than 3 gladiators, ever, and focus all your attention on them. Graphics and presentation are nice, on the upside.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →200+ Hours In. A Great, Addictive Game for Busy Adults. After sinking over 200 hours into this game, I can confidently say it's fantastic. As a working professional in my 30s, this game is the perfect relief after a long day. It’s simple to pick up, but the strategic depth keeps you hooked. The core gameplay loop is incredibly addictive, with simple mechanics that branch into countless possibilities. Mixing and matching different units and strategies is just pure, simple fun. The Good: Very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- awful UI - balancing leaves a lot to be desired
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tournament mode is great once you finish the main campaign. perfect second monitor game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent game, somewhat fun on and off very low replayability, no balance what so ever. Attacks players with advertising their new game in a ingame window that takes up 1/5 or 1/6th of the screen in a different genre begging for wishlisting. For a bux or two sure, more then that? Na, I don't think so.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a decent autobattler, but honestly way too repetitive and little payoff.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Held off from buying this for ages (mainly due to its share of neg. reviews). Loving it. Polished and fun game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun game and a good way to spend some time. One playthrough didn't take all that long, but it had enough retention to get me to play it through a couple more times for the fun of it. No regrets purchasing this one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought I might get about 5 hours of fun out of this, but the gameplay wears of pretty fast. I got bored after 2,5 h. I mean, it is really cheap when it is on sale, but still: I wish there was more to do. And I wish the game had more personality.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like to play on normal difficulty with permanent deaths and maximum 70% coins it seems to be the best way to play but after someone die a quick road block hits when 1 or 2 of my warriors die. Items become scarce, materials seem harder to get and enemies seem to grow in level pretty fast. I wish there was a little bit more balance with this sort of mode then ill come back to play. But it is a fun little game that i wish to continue under my circumstances.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been looking for a game of this type for a long time, and it's an easy recommend. +No bugs or crashes experienced. +Difficulty/progression scaling is very well done. +Graphics are fine. Some might find them a bit mobile looking but honestly they match the theme and style of the game well. +Variety of gladiators is large and meaningful. +Tons of different styles of combat. +Tons of items and skills to earn, upgrade, and experiment with. -AI is... inconsistent? It's not terrible…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Once you get synergies going, it's actually a fun little auto-battler.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a "get it on sale" recommend. Gladiator Guild Manager is an autobattler that plays almost like a turn-based strategy. It isn't one of the push-your-luck or engine-builder types. You won't be rolling dice for that shiny new item or hero that lets you improve your one-size-fits-all setup. You won't coast through (at least on higher difficulties) without some engagement. I found myself repositioning my units, adjusting equipments, and assigning target priorities nearly every battle. So if…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played for a few minutes until a unit moved into an unhittable position and then just papercut my whole team down. Very frustrating experience, would not recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is incredibly hard because I got attached to my gladiators but it's easier to buy new ones than it is to level them.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of my favorite games period. The variety of different classes and combination is almost endless - so the build is what is really fun to try to perfect. The ability to play a hardcore mode or resurrect Gladiators promotes different strategies for gameplay and difficulty. This changes - Particularly with the focus on leveling, purchasing Gladiators, and determining which fights to take or sit out a Gladiator. It is a fun in the title gladiator management game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice one. It plays without any stress and it's addictive.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice game. Pretty and addictive. Well thought out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is okay and has a decent loop. But its STEAM DECK status should be playable, not verified. There's no controller support at all, the text is very small and you only interact by touchpad. It's fun for a couple of hours, but gets shallow and repetitive quickly. There's huge potential to make your gladiators feel more different and more costumizable. Sadly, the game seems to be abandoned.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved the demo and then bought and loved the first hour. The problem is the fighter AI is absolutely abysmal and fights are completely unbalanced. You will either win every fight with ease on full fast forward or you will get absolutely destroyed. So much promise, no delivery
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →abandonware, don`t buy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gladiator Guild Manager is quite fun but it's also too repetitive, grindy, and even frustrating for my taste. My biggest issue with the game is balancing because the game has a habit of throwing teams that are way stronger than yours and It's really easy to wiped out most of your units because you got cloberred by an unfair team. In turn this just slows down your progress and it's just not fun especially when you have permadeath on. Ai also needs a bit of tweaking because they barely use…
