Wait for fixes & optimization Also also PSA: Epic are giving away Battle For Polytopia, Monument Valley 2 and Ghostrunner 2 this week, free. All cool games
unlabelledView post →Bought it for the cyberpunk theme, unfortunately had to put it down. This is one of those "keep dying until you get it" games that appeal to some people but not me. Being able to get one-shot isn't for me, but I'm sure the raised stakes make the game enjoyable if that's your thing. Maybe I'll try it later with Assist mode, but if you found about this game only because you like Cyberpunk 2077 or Deus Ex, be aware the game has a much higher skill floor than these two. So make sure you like…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is solidly built. Visuals are solid and the cyberpunk atmosphere is compelling, nice soundtrack and controlling the character feels great. However, I feel like the actual gameplay is too boring and repetitive for how often you are forced to repeat it. It's a platformer, mild puzzles, and a ton of praying that a stray bullet doesn't make you repeat yourself. Which it will. "But I play dark souls and love challenging games". I also have played a ton of dark souls and others in that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After playin Titanfall 2, Ive been wantin another game with wall-running and fast takedowns. I didnt expect it to feel this good. The mobility’s insane, and nailing clean moves once you master it gives a huge adrenaline rush. But it has a steep learning curve n most late levels need tons of retries. my friends also said it causes rly bad 3d motion sickness, so anyone sensitive to that should think twice before buyin.

unlabelledView post →At first it feels incredible - visuals, speed, atmosphere. But soon it becomes boring die-restart gameplay. The whole gameplay is just memorizing every step. You are not mastering the game, you are just playing pattern-learning simulator. 10/10 Design. 0/10 Fun.

unlabelledView post →So you know how in a game like Titanfall 2 or Neon White or Cloudbuilt, you movements feel fluid and controlled? This game ain't that. Every movement feels stiff, and every time you're forced into a climbing or wall running animation you didn't mean to go into, you feel it, hard. The dash is stiff, the wallrun is stiff, the attacks are stiff (and also seem variable about how far away you're allowed to be before you get the lunge) the Architect might as well be wearing a neon sign saying "I'm…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hello, i have recently discovered the game Ghostrunner, and I have decided that I like a very specific type of game • hard • but lends itself to immediate retries • limited backtracking Celeste is the gold standard, but this also applies to, like, Tony Hawk 2, not genre-specific.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Me + a game that I love Ghostrunner was one of those games where I had never heard of it before release and it became one of the first games that I actively attempted (and succeeded) getting the platinum trophy
unlabelledView post →Lunistice is quite a challenging platformer but not too much. It's perfect for someone like me, who played Ghostrunner, struggled there a lot, but after a while, playing a game became easier. In this game I already feel like some parts are not as crazy as before. Great job, @deke.studio

Basically, it's a first-person Katana Zero. Instant-restart precision platforming and stabbing. The sequel is more open and has motorbikes.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a simple woman. If I see wallruns, double jumps and mid air dashes, I'm sold. The faster the gameplay, the more relaxed I am and immediately get into a flow state where killing enemies becomes a habit like breathing. I'm pretty confident and have kind of a god complex when it comes to fast-paced shooters, but Ghostrunner really gets me grounded. Whenever I play Ghostrunner, it reminds me that I'm just a simple woman sucking at its gameplay. It's fast, it's chaotic, it's unforgiving. And I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Y'all seriously need to play Ghostrunner It's like a first person parkour game with one hit kill and it god extremely fun parkour and you instantly start the section back when you die kinda like Celeste It's so addicting and vibes and music ate immaculate I can't recommend it enough
unlabelledView post →This game is confusing on two fronts. On one hand, the game is just way too hard. There is an assist mode, but it's out of the way to get to it, like the devs didn't want you to know it's there. I played without it, and the difficulty is absurd. For example, there's a boss fight where you need to perfectly time 16 parries, plus platform and dodge bullets. If you are ever early, the counter resets. If you ever fail to platform or parry late, the fight starts over. No checkpoints. That difficulty…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very good game, but don't play it if you are looking for a "cyber ninja power fantasy", because you won't find it here. LOL! This game will have you going through the five stages of grief in every level if you're like me. Stage 1: Denial — No, it's my keyboard! I'm not THAT bad! Stage 2: Bargaining — Ok, there has to be a way to block, right? What about better checkpoints? Stage 3: Anger — What is this $h!t game design!? Stage 4: Depression — I'm never going to beat this level.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’m playing through Ghostrunner 2 right now and it’s a lesser sequel because it’s worried about “characters” and “having a hub” world instead of jumping and slashing. Just give me what I want, a video game made for teenage boys, not adults.
unlabelledView post →I'm calling a moratorium on all cyberpunk media. Ghostrunner is the platonic ideal of DirectX 12. I don't think that there could be a world in which one of these exists without the other. So long as the tools to drive it have been made, the most generic cyberpunk cool-robot setting imaginable will spontaneously form like a stalactite in a wet cave. Indistinguishable synthwave soundtrack, neon everything, mysterious Japanese all over the place; despite the guys with guns and shields talking…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ghostrunner 1 & 2 are great. Basically Katana Zero in first-person, and extremely polished and pretty. The first game goes on deep sale pretty often too.

unlabelledView post →This game is built around dying repeatedly in quick succession and has charge based abiities that don't recharge on respawn, meaning that you only get to use your abilities once every couple dozen attempts. That really should tell you everything you need to know about the level of polish in the game design. It's supposed to be a flow state kind of game but the flow is really bad.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is absolutely the kind of game I would just see you playing one day and go "Fuck, I have to try that" a la Ghostrunner.

unlabelledView post →I have a few issues with this game. The combat is fine—it's enjoyable, moderately challenging, and interesting. However, the parkour sections almost made me uninstall the game. The problem is that when jumping and climbing, the game requires you to be extremely precise, not allowing the slightest mistake, while the game itself is very imprecise (especially in the final segment in Cybervoid), unlike other games in the genre. Despite this, I enjoyed the game; I think it deserves a 7/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are better puzzle games and better parkour games. It's a nice idea but even at AU$15 I feel ripped off. Getting what you want out of the movement system is harder than is should be and many of the puzzlecour sections are really just trail and error. Finishing a section feels less rewarding than it doesn releaving. Vibes are okay but without workshop or some sort of mod support just save your money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not for me. I really wanted to like this. Awesome setting and being a cyber ninja is awesome. But this is no Warframe or Mirror's Edge. I feel the game does not teach it's mechanics well enough. I could not make it past the tutorial. Frustration is not something I enjoy. The movement is like sliding on ice and the enemies are way too accurate and punishing. I never felt a feeling of control or precision.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FPS fans I highly suggest giving the demo for Metal Eden a shot. This game is dope. It's like Doom 2016 meets Ghostrunner 👌
unlabelledView post →Ghostrunner is a cyberpunk first person action slasher game. The game blends science fiction with post-apocalyptic themes and the survivors fight to survive.. Some comparisons to Cyberpunk 2077 fail to appreciate the game action in Ghostrunner. Played this on my Dell Precision 3480 with Arc Xe graphics and RTX A500 discrete graphics. Game is very playable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Certainly worth a playthrough but really not anything too special. First off I want to mention a huge flaw with this game almost nobody seems to be talking about: YOU CANNOT SAVE THE GAME MID LEVEL Keep in mind these levels easily take 20-40 minutes on a first playthrough... This alone makes the game significantly worse for me. The music is great, the story is pretty entertaining (architect voice actor carries it hard), the game looks pretty good, and crucially the gameplay itself is fun…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finished horizon zero dawn and really enjoyed it. I'm glad I got over the hurdle that impacted my progress the first time I played it. And I can't wait to play the sequel but for now it's time for a non open world game. Probably gonna play Ghostrunner next.

unlabelledView post →I just really dislike this game. It goes for visual fidelity over mechanical depth and you can feel it, hard. The arena's that you fight through feel decent to fight through and the laser tower boss is also pretty cool. That's where the fun ends. I stopped playing after the HEL boss fight because it was just. That. Bad. Seriously, look up gameplay of that boss fight and you'll see what I mean. It genuinely speaks for itself. You take really nice looking visuals and then put the most jittery…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of the worst games I've played in recent memory. I enjoy hard games but this one just wasn't for me. The AI somehow suffers from mental retardation while knowing my every move. The idea of dying in one hit is cool and can be done well but this is the most rage inducing incorporations of it I have ever seen. I should have refunded this game but it managed to make me gaslight myself into thinking it would get fun if I just kept playing (it did not) The one compliment I can fish out…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finally made it through the final level of Ghostrunner. Only took me nearly eight hours and 2100 deaths. Oh yeah, that's just for that level, not the whole game. You can see videos of people going through it in about 10 minutes.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ghostrunner is a very fun, fast-paced game, which doesn't overstay it's welcome. A perfect medicine for anyone tired of open-world games. I haven't played anything quite like it before, though if i really had to compare it to something im familiar with, i'd choose Sekiro. At first glance it may seem like the two games are nothing alike, but there's that one thing, that connects them. Both of them can be reallyyy frustrating at the beginning, before it "clicks" for you. After that, no matter…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a near-perfect skill game. It is incredibly frustrating at times, because it requires executing a series of actions near-flawlessly, and in the meantime you'll die over and over again. But I've found it to be far less depending on luck than other games of this type, e.g. soulslike games. It is a great feeling to find a scene nearly impossible to pass on the first tries, and progressively find it easier and easier to achieve. I typically died over 200 times per level, but I once…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Frustrating but fun and satisfying to learn the enemy layouts and then execute the perfect run. It definitely feels harder than it is at first until you learn to dodge properly. Lots of enemy variety and abilities. To me the tower section everyone complains about wasn't even that hard, but damn that final level "The Monster" is truly horrible and badly designed. Also Project Hel slaps, overpriced and short but it slaps

unlabelledView post →This game is PAINFULLY mid. Mid in the way where this game has some insanely good stuff, like the movement and combat, and really bad stuff, like the puzzle platforming sections and overall pacing/story. I'd still pick it up, but for about six hours of "meh, it's alright," thirty bucks is WAY too much.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a game that acts like it values you going fast, it really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ struggles when you try to go fast
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was fun. Nothing to write home about, but pretty fun gameplay. 7.5/10 Basically, if you like mirrors edge or neon white, that style of game, you will like this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ghostrunner is an adrenaline rush from the first jump; fast, slick, and brutally satisfying. The one-hit, one-kill loop feels super fair once you get into the flow, and pulling off clean runs is ridiculously rewarding. The cyberpunk world looks sharp, the movement feels buttery smooth, and the soundtrack absolutely slaps. It’s tough, but if you like skill-heavy action games, it’s a blast.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe I'll come back to this game and play it more, but this game is simply inconsistent in platforming/combat and the times where I felt like a bad ass playing it were very short lived and ALWAYS fell flat because of poor mechanics; I don't feel like this is a "git gud" game, but more of like a puzzle game where you have figure out how to kill the enemies in the best path that provides the least chance for RNG killing you. My first time playing this game I played for about 2 hours, which…
