As a supposed hyperrealistic geopolitical simulator, seeing yourself lose 50% in approval ratings and subsequently getting deposed for raising the income tax by 0,5% is complete insanity. The game fails in its core aim - which is to realistically simulate being in charge of a nation. I dont think developers did a single playthrough before releasing the game. Completely nonsensical.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Clunkier than ever. Completely let down. It's a reskin of the last 3 games with a few features here and there. I give up on this series. I will check back in when/if they ever actually overhaul the engine. The thing that really pisses me off is the lack of warfare and diplomacy. I dont care about micromanaging the econoy, stocks, companies. etc. The "warfare" part of this game has remained the same since forever and no options to actually order the general to do things like ground invasion, no…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT BUY. Seriously Don't. I bought this expecting a deep geopolitical simulator. What I got was a confusing mess with bad explanations, frustrating UI, and mechanics that often feel random instead of smart. The game constantly leaves you guessing. Sanctions, military production, internal instability, unemployment, and economic management are all presented like complex systems, but the game does a poor job explaining what is actually happening or how to fix problems. You spend more…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tested the game and asked for a refund after 1 hour ==> The game is not stable like the 2025 version I'm playing Geo political sim of Eversim since 2014 (playing hundreds of hours) with World of leaders so I follow the studio and the serie from the beginning. Unfortunatey their last stable version is the one of 2023, I must admit that the studio lost its serriousness. Even if the concept is great, selling an unfinished game 60 euros is not fair, i'm not speaking about in game bugs but really…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bugged like its former in incarnations. This latest title manages to crash as well too even when not messing around with much of the game. The honest truth is Eversim is trying to rob your money. You can give it a try but please reimburse this before the end of the second hour. They do not deserve your hard earned cash. *white flag waving proudly*
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have bought all the previous additions and for the first time requested a refund for this game. I just can't recommend anyone buys it. It feels no different from the previous edition. Game just runs clunky. It quickly becomes boring. The politics part of the game feels only half decent if your a left wing party trying to implement left wing policies.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a huge fan of this developers products. I have played and enjoyed the Power & Revolution series for years. As I loved the games, I was able to get past the glitches and minor crashes as for the most part, I was able to take the good with the bad. With that being said, I took the risk, despite all of the negative comments on Geo-Pol 2026. I tried my best to enjoy the program but after a few attempts, the game just didn't work. It ended up being too much of a issue, so I requested a refund…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun, but it is near unplayable with all the crashes. Its been an issue for years and they just don't care enough to fix it. Could be great, but I could never recommend this with all the lagging and crashes and the complete and utter disinterest from the developer.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is unplayable on my pc, during start up and loading it consistently ran at 1fps, with severe CPU thrashing and memory usage, exceeding 70%. The Game stalls during loading and never reaches stable gameplay, this issue happens immediately on launch, not later gameplay. the technical state is unacceptable for a £50 release. TLDR: The game nuked itself.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I keep buying theese games compulsory iteration after iteration, just to realize I've bought the SAME game over again... Can someone please stop this sick behaviour!? I have this strange hope of Eversim doing it right and fresh every release but nope.... Same voices that sounds like they've been recorded at a day-care center. Broken economy, broken mechanics and ugly as always. Thankfully, this time I managed to keep my playtime low enoug
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried to like this game but I can't, it is way too unfinished, way too expensive and too buggy. - The tutorial is worthless, it shows you the most basic of actions as a leader but none that actually mater in your game play (economy and voting). - The in-game provided manual is not for this version of the game but rather a version that is several years old and it doesn't even list all the tasks/things you can do and how to do them. - Even the official discord server is filled with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bottom line, if you want the economy, politics, and diplomacy part of the game, eversim made great progress in fixing the bugs as compared to previous versions. I was pleasantly surprised in that I would take actions and get the expected outcome consistently! However if you also like the military/warfare aspect of the game forget about it. It's as unstable as ever. If anything it's actually less stable than when this version was first released. I mean all it takes to crash the game is a few…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overpriced by far. A very good game concept with very bad execution. main problems are: 1. UI and lack of information and documentation: This game needs at the very least tool tipps. Mechanics are not explained at all - I played the game with chat GPT on the 2nd screen to get an idea of what is happening under the hood. Also, a lot of clicks are required to get from where the information is displayed to where actions can be taken based on this information. Edit: There is little to no…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shameless cash grab. Same game as last year, same price, only minor differences, same bugs and even new bugs. This company needs to be held accountable by steam. They can't keep selling the same game with minor patches for 60 $ every year. it's a scam
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My worst decision of 2026: The image quality is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ atrocious, the game is unplayable, and the whole thing is a confusing, overpriced piece of ♥♥♥♥. I wouldn’t pay even €1 for it—and neither should you. Yet year after year, they still have the nerve to release ♥♥♥♥ like this. The graphics look like they’re straight out of the 2000s, and the gameplay is absolutely miserable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dont buy this unless its on sale ive played nearly every year since 2023 its gotten worse not worth $60 + the dlc that should come with the game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →buggy mess, the economy doesn't even work, everytime i play unemployment shoots up for no reason and its very dificult to bring it down
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Prepare for your PC to have a meltdown. I have a gaming computer and Geo-Political Simulator 2026 Edition lags even on low graphic settings and the application uses a large amount of computing data to run which may freeze its operations.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is great, but it needs improvement, especially regarding the realism of decisions made by other heads of state. 1. I request the addition of a variety of ballistic missiles in terms of range and damage, as well as the availability of different ballistic missile launch platforms. 2. Also, add some realism to militia forces, such as the ability to use rocket launchers and suicide drones. 3. Add realistic stealth aircraft that are difficult to detect when entering the airspace of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I know theres a lot of controversies about this game Like every huge update is 1 new game, buggy as hell or something But believe me, this game is the most realistic game on Steam And its the most in-depth game in economy and politics And its changing since GPS5 released They started their own official discord server and start accepting complaints (BTW I bought the 2025 Edition on their website And they let us convert the serial key to activation code of 2026 Edition on Steam Thats how I got…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FINALLY got my game to where it doesnt crash and lag, got a year into gameplay, it crashed after saving, tried loading the save, instantly crashes everything, all my progress gone, dumb af, refunding if i can.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I though after some initial playtime the game was finally in it's best shape. But after playing some more i found that you eventually get to a point where it breaks because of the NaN(-ind) bug. They refuse to refund you mentioning that you played more than two hours. But you only discover the bug after playing for a while, it doesn't seem fair to me. I have never requested a refund until now, and the first time i have problems with a game i get refused.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →keep crashing over and over again for the price you expect better
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it seems less buggy, too bad they removed the real life leaders. If you like grand strategy games, this might be an interesting option
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →has a lot of potencial, and they can add a lot of features but they dont do nothing about it, has a los of crashes, very stressful bugs
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashes all the time, waste of time and money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THE GAME IS LAGGING, I CANT EVEN NOPEN. FIRST IT SHOULD BE FIXED. BUT I REALLY LIKE THE GAME CONCEPT
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a teacher, I am very interested in this game, which covers many aspects of politics and economics. The game encompasses a wide range of topics, and the simulation calculations are consistent. It's a great resource for my lessons, and its engaging nature allows my students to discover how the world's economy works while having fun. Satisfied with my purchase.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Early Access was great, for like a solid 2 months this was the best game they ever made. Then they decided to change random stuff, remove stuff that worked and add stuff that doesn't work that no one asked for that just makes the game terrible and unplayable. They need to add the option to revert the game to earlier patches or hand out refunds
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent game and fully supported! For those of you who were left disheartened with Geo Political Simulator 5 2024 edition, Geo Political Simulator 5 2026 edition makes up for it in spades (with the added bonus of the 2025 edition) Please if you have a bug report it on discord or via email at [email protected] Jack Ohama and Ronald Drumpf may be retired in this latest version of the game but speed and functionality more than make up for that. For those of you that have followed the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played this game for many hours and I really wanted to like it, but unfortunately it has some serious issues. The biggest problem is performance. As the game progresses, it becomes slower and slower, especially when playing on higher speeds. Managing larger or more complex countries makes this even worse, and sometimes the game feels unresponsive. There are also many bugs and inconsistencies. Economic systems and projects (like construction and workforce management) don’t always behave…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Geo-Political Bug simulator 2026 Edition
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having already played previous editions of the series, this one seems to me to be the best, mainly thanks to the optimization of the game flow, which allows players to progress faster and reach much further into the timeline (in 5 to 6 hours of gameplay, it is possible to reach 2030). The other aspect that truly makes it better than earlier versions of Geopolitical Simulator 4 (Power & Revolution) is that the macroeconomy is far more realistic and even incorporates in this edition the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →How to increase economic growth and reduce deficit in your favourite dictatorship. Step 1: Grant some minor political freedom to gain popularity. The mob is so easily impressed... Step 2: Grant some social benefits like housing allowances. I'm a generous king, I mean president. Step 3: Lower corporate tax and employer contributions. Raise some other taxes which don't affect the economy. As you can see the economy is growing. Okay, the unemployment is still on the rise. Strange. Step 4: Raise…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashes constantly, next to no new content
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only a few new features were added and a few old ones were removed, but the game is the same as before. I wouldn’t recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Geo-political Simulator 5 was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a release. GPS 2026 is better and has bugs fixed compared to 5. Unfortunately, there are still simulation bugs. If you own GPS 5, you can get a discount for this game. I still stand by that the game is unique compared to other political sim games as it focuses on many aspects—macro economics and trade, influential people and opinions, elections and policy making that affects them all—besides war and world domination. Generally, you play as an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been playing the series from the very first one and thinking that Eversim would surprise me this time... :) I got a brand new gaming laptop; played 56 minutes, crashed twice (stopped responding), requested refund.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love Geopolitical Simulator 2026! Captivating but demanding, I recommend this game to all geopolitics enthusiasts. It’s truly comprehensive: you have to please the people, balance your budget, juggle opposing parties, make our planet greener, fight inequality, manage multinationals… In my opinion, this is one of the best versions of the game. It’s well-optimized and much more enjoyable to play. The developers listen to their community, and that’s awesome. The new additions in this version are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe in the future ile try it again was just buggy and not really as much as I'd hoped for honestly. Maybe next year's edition.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →how tf am i getting 30 fps at this game?????
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →log evry time i have to quit game most of time and restart my pc
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finally released! The game features 2026 and 2025 scenarios, which is a new feature in itself, with two years of updated data. Eversim has stated that the data for the end of 2025 will be patched. The biggest addition is the tourism simulation, which is enjoyable and quite comprehensive, and can be combined with building tourism businesses. Managing personal wealth is also very interesting, as is the scenario about the war in Europe, which may foreshadow what could happen in the coming…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best global strategy game I’ve ever played. Deep gameplay, great community, addictive, competitive and constantly keeps you thinking. Developers who actually care about players. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys strategy and long-term progression. No matter what kind of bug or problem you encounter, the support team responds incredibly fast and usually solves everything within just a few hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I withdraw my negative comment regarding a bug in this game. After the developer or customer service team responded to my feedback and I sent them the save file I used, the developer patched the bug, so I can now play smoothly again. 5 stars for their responsiveness.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Please fix Syrian pound value of year 2026 , it equals 110 per US dollar
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When they fix the load times I will recommend this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It looks fun, but it isn't. Everything is incredibly surface level. I think hoi4 with millennium dawn is more fleshed out. Refund.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a great game in spite of the hatred it receive's sometime. over all it is complex and gets as close to realism as possible. The draw back for me is the outdated and wonky graphics. My preference is bare bones Geo political and the only game I found other then this game is Global Power which is as close to perfect as I can get as far as Geo political. I hope that this company will move away from the second rate graphics and produce a game that gets to the core mechanics of a program such…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dk why people say its buggy its not been for me
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is it a good "game": no, hell no. but this series holistic approuch makes it what stand out deeply, yes is it a greedy company which sells you the same game every year, but much like fifa, politicians the world and every important aspect this game tries to provide do change. I do agree a dlc policy is smarter for everybody, but to review this game, and to call it a buggy sim series is indeed not a good way to think. Anyways, I enjoy the depth of the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasn't familiar with it, and I find the game fantastic with incredible depth. There are tons of management and simulation aspects! I haven't encountered any bugs like some have mentioned in other reviews. I've only tried the Leader of State mode and the scenario about the war in Europe. I also tried limiting global catastrophes; in that case, it's best to play as many large countries as possible to achieve significant changes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Much better than last iterations. I've actually been able to play for quite awhile without a crash. Still could have some performance optimizations, but I can actually recommend this version. Hope he keeps updating this one and doesn't sell a new 2027 version though. Keep this as the base game so you can keep updating it, add DLCs for future years and/or scenarios.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Massive support and improvement on previous versions. I can't understand all the complaining, I've had no issue with the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Be warned, this is a complex game. There are lots of management menus, both economic and political. The variables change over time, so it can take a while to see the impact of your actions. Personally, I prefer to focus on politics, and the game's approach to this subject is very comprehensive and realistic, with all systems of government represented. It's a fascinating game that requires patience and precision.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I haven't played the previous versions, but I think the 2026 version is a good one to get back into this game. There are quite a few nice new additions in this version. One of the new features I find really cool is the technological transition. I'm replacing my country's workers with robots and AI to see the consequences for my country and how they can be managed in this scenario (better done with a universal basic income). This gives the game a science fiction/speculative fiction feel that I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This new version brings many improvements, but a specific new feature I love is the simulation of political censorship systems: the US Supreme Court, government censorship, and so on, which enable subtle or even underhanded political strategies… just like in real life the devil is in the details!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Haven't had any crashes yet. The way the initial start (TV clip) and then playing as your world leader is nice and quick. Military seems cleaner ... the way you can transition to the different departments or trade is slightly easier. I haven't tried any tariffs or gotten to deep into the trade game yet but so far it is definitely cleaner than previous editions. Should it be $85 .... not a chance. But being the only developer that does a game on this level, you always have developers that have…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought that if I create a very good conditions for companies and will subsidize them, the AI in the game will automatically build relevant facilities. For example, if I subsidize cereal production and as a country I have good conditions for the business, then in 2-3 months AI will build 3d farms on the map or something. Very upsetting that no one in Everism had an idea of this. Please add that!!! Overall the game is good but bugs needs to be fixed!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played every edition since 2019. I can understand why many people find the game to be random or confusing. There are many mechanics you cant understand without playing and experimenting, which is why a manual of some sorts is definitely needed. That being said, I've thoroughly enjoyed each new feature and haven't had many bugs, aside from an occasional GDP bug in the late-game. I hope this will be fixed.
