positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you love games like Carmageddon, Split Second, Flatout 2 and Wreckfest, you gonna like this, though the game works more like Twisted Metal, kinda like Death Race the video game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →could have been cool... controller support is a lie. have to map all your own buttons. just for it to not work and then get stuck in menu and have to force close the game. refunded
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best $2 I've spent in a minute. Had no idea the masterminds behind Runescape decided to make their own bare-bones off-brand twisted metal. The game get's pretty redundant as there are only a handful of tracks and different races, However the heavy rock music, widebody jdm cars, guns and that $2 on sale price tag made this game an easy 5/5 PS: This game also works great on steam deck.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you love car racing games but get tired when someone passes you and you want to blow them to kingdom come? In this game you can and why not add zombies (if you purchase the Zombie DLC for next to nothing when it's on sale)? This game is slightly aged at this point but so am I. Buy it on sale and you will not be disappointed. Did I mention you can shoot zombies?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Initial impressions. The game is fair amount of fun, its similar to Skydrift except controls are easier to handle . I bought the four pack. I always wanted to try a combat racing game but didn't like GRIP since it looked too funky and had a ton of DLC. Might buy Grip later. This one has funny voice acting by various celebs, profanity filter and a lot of difficulty levels for the AI. Con - Cars are locked until one plays campaign and multiplayer needs a seperate PC and game copy to host…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2 out of 5 stars. Played a round, game was quite fun, loved that it has a language filter. Played great on steam deck. But, video for game is altered to show 4 player split screen. This is not found in the game. I only bought it to play quick races with my wife on my steam deck. Can’t do that. Very disappointed and advertisement was misleading. Anyways, if you want it for local multiplayer don’t get it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The movement layout wasn't mapped out for me so I couldn't drive at all. Not with my keyboard or my controller................................................ what? I could go first person to third person and look backwards that's it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Become the legendary gas guzzler! If you played games like Flatout, Burnout or Crash Day, you know what to expect. Enjoy destruction with different weapons and plenty of cars to unlock. Multiple tracks set in different environments but main con there aren't enough environmental destruction except few obstacles and barrels here and there. Gain boost by smashing into things. Upgrade your cars for extra omph. Races are divided into normal ones, weapon assisted, deathmatch, last man standing and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a 12 year old game as of this review, and honestly it still looks pretty dang good. It also controls really well. Overall, just a fun combat racer. Is it worth the US$25? Sure. Is it more worth it on sale? Well, duh. Either way, its a fun romp.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For 3 Bucks on sale, its def. worth checking out, but NEVER buy it for 25€, It has the same quality as a Mid Tier Mobile Racing game from the early 2010s, its fun, but clunky, Story mode is kinda non existant, as you only have 3 events to choose from each race, random map, same game modes. Crashday is Infinitely Better, but again, for 3 bucks, grab it, but not for 25 bucks.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have been playing this game since 2013, on a pirated version. When I can afford one, I've bought it on Steam. This is the one and only car racing game I play. I have tried to find a newer alternative version of this type of game, but I ALWAYS come back to this one. There's nothing like it. Best vehicular combat racing game there is.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gas Guzzlers Extreme – All Noise, No Nitro Gas Guzzlers Extreme feels like a game that arrived ten years too late and still missed the memo. You boot it up and are welcomed by long load times and visuals that look like a budget arcade racer from the early 2000s. Not retro. Just dated. Edgy… In Theory The game tries hard to sell attitude. Loud menus. Forced humor. Rock soundtrack blasting in the background. Unfortunately, the soundtrack feels like elevator music with distortion, and the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this flavor of car combat racing (at least as good as this game) has not been seen since it came out extremely pick up and play mechanically complex it is not, nor does it need to be, since you're both driving and shooting at the same time the ability to fully remap all controls no matter what you use, with menu and ingame controls separated too, is a nice bonus on top
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately, controller support is not working correctly
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is pretty bad. I'm only playing on medium and the AI are insanely broken. There's 5 total difficulties and medium is only the second difficulty level so there's absolutely no reason the AI should be this broken. They rubberband like crazy. I will be ahead for 95% of the race, just for the AI to slingshot past to steal the win, making the race absolutely pointless. It's obvious the devs are very bad at balancing the AI, letting them have infinite boost. I will watch the AI, them missing all…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like Flatout, Mario kart and Twisted Metal had a threesome and had the baby born in Texas and after that moved to Croatia to find jobs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →REALLY NICE GAME BUT. THIS GAME HAS LIKE 75% COMPATIBILITY WITH CONTROLLER SUPPORT. 75% IN-GAME AN 0% IN MENUS. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS GAME TILL THE DEVELOPERS FIX THE MENU AND IT WORKS WITH A CONTROLLER... SO I WILL NEVER INSTALL IT AGAIN TILL THE DEVELOPERS FIX IT.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love this game, lots of cars/decent amount of tracks/class music and very easy accessible arcade handling but also hard to master, the weather effects are great and the game still looks good. You can also purchase (optional) two DLC packs which has 2-3 extra play arenas/zomies/cars and extra modes which is great, however I would like to see some more racing tracks added in the future, maybe through a shopping mall and stadium along with jump ramps etc, if not hopefully they will make a follow…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In sale? Yes. Not in sale? No. Game's campaign end in around 3 hours and the racing events that allow you to be armed can be cheesed with simply blowing up the opposition because they won't respawn Car's design is average. Turning? You can turn nicely unlike games like NFS or Trail Out. By default pretty much all of the cars are grippy. AI opponents? Rubberbands but in a twist you can blow them and they only rubberband in speed, not really aggressive. Also unlike some other racing games like i…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i remember having a lot of fun playing this. but it does get repetitive fast. if you wanna get it i'd encourage you to wait for a big discount.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Better than Forza Horizon
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Running on legion S go, runs well , looks good and uses low power. Feels a bit like burnout but with weapons.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nah, dude. The cars constantly make the screeching "drifting" noise, regardless of whether you're drifting, turning, or going straight. After a bit of researching, it looks like the developers were made aware of this and their solution was to "Delete and reinstall the game" instead of fixing the bug themselves. (this is on a fresh install on all the maps, by the way) Also, there is no preset for a controller layout, so you have to manually map all of the buttons for yourself and experiment…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the best car crash game for its price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You know, I obtained this game a loooong time ago. Probably when it was new. I still load it up for a blast from time to time. More fun than some newer titles.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →itle: Gas Guzzlers Extreme Delivers High-Octane Chaos and Pure Arcade Fun Gas Guzzlers Extreme is one of those games that reminds you how fun, fast, and downright chaotic arcade racing can be. It doesn’t try to be overly realistic or complicated—it just wants you to strap in, mash the accelerator, and blow past (or blow up) anything that gets in your way. And it absolutely nails it. The racing is tight, responsive, and incredibly satisfying. Cars handle well without feeling floaty, and the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a game that I've liked a lot as (It remembers me to Interstate '76)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gas Guzzlers Extreme might be a small time release, but it’s full of pure, unadulterated, racing heart. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3403212526
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun and funny. Also the progression system is really nice, you start with sh*t cars and gradually unlock nicer ones, kinda like Most Wanted 2005.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Id say its just as good as the first one, please make a 3rd! there fun games racing and weapons all in one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR - Buy Crashday instead. This is not a good game. It is incredibly buggy, reeks of being unfinished and is very repetitive and gets boring very fast. The game being an absolute jankfest aside, it is also very poorly thought out when it comes to difficulty, especially on the "impossible" difficulty which, at the very least, does live up to it's difficulty as it can be nearly impossible to win on that difficulty due to the absolutely blatant rubberbanding (which you can see very easily…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A friend gifted this game to me. While the post apocalypse setting is a bit dry, at least I can actually have a car combat game on my PC.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing Game for car Mayhem
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a fun game! And great Metal Soundtrack!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →YES.. this is a game waiting to be resurrected. looked like fun so I bought it for myself and a friend, single player is a blast, and there are a handful of dedicated servers always looking for new blood. get it, and join in the fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, economy matters here
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun , simple and cheap game . would recommend very much . great vehicular combat , great weapons , lot of chaos . exactly what i need. unfortunately multiplayer is dead but servers can be self hosted .

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controller support is a flat out lie.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun, relaxing and full of ammo.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the best car crash game for its price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My "go to" racing game. No need to look further, trust me. The best car game on Steam. (disregard my playtime - I've been playing playin' it to death elsewhere)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →had to map buttons on Xbox controller but other than that runs great and fun. like twisted metal but trying to race at the same time
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it was ok however it basically is only single player and my AMD bug report crashed my game 2 separate times for whatever reason and when I relaunched it the game was super stuttery till I restarted my computer then relaunched it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels very bad with steering wheel :c
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game didn't bother workinmg with my Xbox controller, I've tried it directly, I've tried it with Steam Input, I've tried re-binding every button in the controls menu. No matter what - there's no steering in the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game but the game is now unfortunately 6 feet under ground
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This games is amazing. Take Twisted and Carmgedon and this is what you get.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Headline : Very good, especially for its age, but a little on the short side. If you were ever a fan of Car Wars a role playing/ combat table game by Steve Jackson Games this is effectively the computer game version. Race round a significant variety of tracks and arenas with mines, smoke, oil, and a variety of guns - on most courses for the latter, and beat the opposition by fair means, foul, or a combination of the two. Rubber banding is strong so one bad crash won't take you out…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Visuals are not quiet as dynamic as stunning as the screenshots might imply but the game is a bit of old school mindless fun. Would recommend picking up when its on special.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gas Guzzlers Extreme pros: //fast game with modern day graphics with easy controls that moves from location A to B to C and so on //good amount of action and special effects cons: //a lot of difficult races //AI uses rubberbanding so that you can never really get ahead in the races //AI can shoulder block you off the road //AI can take your powerups if they are infront of you //some powerups are better than others //locked races //unlocking races and gathering resources are a grind //cars and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was feeling the need for a racing game, but didn't want something that was too expensive since I have a habit of only finishing like 20% of the games I start. This fit the bill. -Plays alot like if there was a twisted metal racing game, truthfully it reminded me most of a racing game on Dreamcast called Demolition Racer: No Exit, except with guns too. This is a pro because it was one of the few games ive played that really does racing AND demo derby well. -Gameplay is quick and easy to get…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gas Guzzlers Extreme is an action-packed arcade racer with little realistic physics. Race on tracks inspired by the real world, collect items, and hunt down opponents while managing your beastly machine. The game offers diverse vehicles, While lacking a compelling story. The learning curve is steep, but mastering your weaponized racer is rewarding. Graphics options allow smooth gameplay, and vehicle feel is a standout feature. However, it lack competitive multiplayer and some performance…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great graphic smooth play chickens guns characters talk like in Unreal Tournament. Tons of fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game if you like vehicle combat. I played it on Xbox with a wheel and loved it so when I switched over I found it on pc I knew it was a must buy. I got it on sale for a couple dollars with all DLC how could I lose. Update: It just gets better and better. As I get new cars and upgrade them I have become a beast! The extra content adds a lot to the game, also. Mowing down zombies as they assault your base is loads of fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worse than Flatout, but good overall for a couple of evenings.
