60 of 127 · most liked firstTL;DR: Interesting game held back by poor optimization, unfinished systems, and rough presentation. It technically works, but it feels rushed, unpolished, and not worth buying in its current state. Pros: Essentially a Supermarket Simulator style game, but themed around a GameStop. Does what it says on the tin. The auto-fill button for card transactions is a good QOL feature. Small, cozy world space that could be charming with better lighting and polish. Cons / Needs Major Work: Terrible…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is almost enjoyable, but is obviously half baked and not much effort was put into it, BUT could be really great if the dev fixes some easy things. I give it a 5 out of 10, and in it's current state you'll beat it in 5-6 hours..I do recommend a playthrough for the price. Plays just like other games in this genre, not much change anywhere, and it's very copy and paste from other shop games. BUT WHY DOESN'T SOMEONE GO THE DISTANCE AND MAKE A COMPLETE SHOP OWNER GAME THAT ROCKS! I'm sick…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honest Review After Playing for 4 hours and Almost finishing Everything and I hope game devs are reading this. The Game is good for an early access. Pros: 1- Good Environment and dynamic weather. 2- Beautiful town and small fun exploration too. 3- Card Payment have auto fill button which is really really helpful. 4- Game is fast paced so you don't have to grind a lot. 5- Shoplifting and then you have to catch the thief. 6- Online delivery feature is really good , pick and drop.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game uses ai assets and gen ai content. Store page used to say it only had it for the steam header image but it's now been removed. Once in game you realize that it is *considerably* more than that. One of the first things you see is a gen ai anime girl/vtuber hologram singin a song that is also clearly gen ai. Any game copy that isn't just a game the company made is also just gen ai. There is no excuse for the amount of ai slop in this game and it should clearly state on the store page how…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bite sized, and very approachable way into the store sim genre. I wish I could recommend it but upon my third crash I opened the task manager to find that it was using almost all of my 32gb of ram. Basically unplayable without some kind of frame gen/ dlss on my 4070 super at 1440p. I think this game has tremendous potential with its beautiful visuals and fun gameplay systems but a lot of optimization is needed before I can recommend it. I will be checking back frequently for updates but I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasn't going to leave a negative review so soon, but cmon, did they really remove the "AI" message at the bottom claiming only store page images were AI? Anyone with half a brain can tell that this game heavily uses AI everywhere. Anything anime, from the AI girls to character images are all generated by AI. In-game hologram dancing and singing is all AI (unless this game has a million dollar budget, which I doubt it). The biggest issue isn't even that. I could ignore AI art if the game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the Japanese stylization of the game and I feel like it has potential to be cozy but the store page lies when it says there is no AI generated content in the game- immediately the game throws AI generated videos of anime characters at you while playing AI generated music. Besides this the game world is full of advertisements for other "slop" games that are on Steam. I feel like games like this have so much potential that just gets thrown out by the use of AI generated content, it makes…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate to give this game a negative review, it has tons of potential and I have been enjoying it, but since release it crashes non stop for me. At this point the crashes are so frequent that it's almost unplayable now. Overall great concept, and i could see this game being a solid sim choice once the bugs are worked. I'll come back to once it's been in early access for a little bit. Hopefully the crashing issue get fixed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gamer Stop Simulator Red Axe Games. NO disclosure on main page, has it on the prologue / demo for headers and images. In-game "art" on the games look like they have ai filters over them. -y steamcommunity.com/app/3499220/... store.steampowered.com/app/3811880/...

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are some weird anti-aliasing issues on the characters that make them look jagged and distracting, which really hurts the visual experience. If this gets fixed in a future patch, it could be a solid game, but as it stands, I can’t recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The store page lists as AI being used only on the steam page for the picture. That is fully untrue. When I launched the game and walked down the street to the store, I was met by an AI generated anime girl in the sky singing a clearly AI made song about "gamer stop". The amount of AI in this game is actually nauseating. Do NOT buy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate to give a negetive review because I love the game.. Yes it has the same loop of all shop simulators Steam is currently full of, but I've no problem with that, I enjoy this loop. But this game is VERY BADLY optimised. Even on highest settings -- I get the grainy image quality which I hate to see in any game. It rains most of the time in game and the rain quility is awful. You get to see bright sunlight and clear sky even when it rains heavily. But a rainy day with cloudy sky has it's own…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its not a bad game, but the game currently has a game breaking bug with the box's. You pick up a box and then you are stuck with it and can no longer open it, set it down, throw it.. You become locked. You can try saying your character is stuck etc. I've posted the bug and nothing has been done about it at all. With it being game breaking don't waste your money till they fix it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game absolutely contains AI-generated assets
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has a cool concept, and i understand its still a new release and early access, but even with that knowledge i cant give it a positive review until the issues are fixed. Customers have no real pathing, they just walk through shelves. Boxes, despite being empty cant be used for packing any game other than the one that was in it originally, making transfer of items between shelves annoying and tedious. No ability to move checkouts, your essentially stuck with the layout of certain things…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hey everyone, After about 10 hours in the full game and 3 hours in the prologue, I’ve made up my mind. The Positives! 1. Graphics: I’m playing the game in 4K now, with DLSS set to "Balanced" and everything else on "Epic." This gets me a solid 60 fps. The graphics are genuinely beautiful, especially for such a small dev team! 2. Gameplay: Well, it delivers exactly what it promises. You simply sell games, repair consoles, and basically do the same things over and over. It’s a specific taste, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just reached the end game (lv.20) The flow of customers is really low. I was selling everything at market price and the flow of people entering the store is really low. I even unlocked all the extra space and the stoprage room, but the games are so expensive and the people buying are so few that all that space is unused. I just restock when out of stock and that's it. I don't think the game is balanced.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not recommended becasue tthere is no way to resset shelf tags, no way for workers to move items from the delivery oint to the storage area, no way to way to stop workers from putting goods sitting in the delivery area on open shelves. ILiike me f you don't like disorgzation then I stronly sugget you sit this one until changes have made to worker logic. Pretty disappointed, enjoying the game untill this point but will now be waiting for some changes , before I contine.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →(Edited Review) Great potential, but performance issues still hold it back Rating: Mixed / Not Recommended (for multitaskers) Review: I came back to test the game after the recent patches to see if the performance had improved—and to be fair to the developers: Yes, the overall baseline performance HAS gotten better. The gameplay feels less exhausting than it did at launch, and I appreciate the developers actively working on optimization. However, the game still suffers from noticeable…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The games fun for what it is, and keep in mind this is in early access so these bugs may get fixed. But one of the bugs that makes me keep this negative is very impactful. if you pick up a sales rack with items on it, it just deletes them and it's super easy to do it with the button configuraction
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Big fan of simulation games, but this one isn’t there yet. First up: optimisation. Even on max settings the game looks excessively foggy, and there’s way too much visual clutter — leaves, butterflies, particles everywhere. Staring at the register causes a pixelated highlight that shakes so badly it genuinely feels like you’re having a stroke. It’s distracting and uncomfortable to look at. Using the register itself is also frustrating. When you interact with it, your character turns away from…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What if [Supermarket / TCG / Book] Simulator was full of AI slop? I am a consumer hoe and I regret this purchase. Please be better than me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i've had to alt f4 my game like 15 times today. stuff gets stuck in your hand and you arent able to do anything at all. the workers drop stuff randomly and you literally cant move them. great potential, but it aint at a marketable place at the moment. game has been beat already. not alot to do. if you just like to run a store and not have much to do, then give it a try. i know they are adding more later, so im trying to stay positive
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Im selling the first game at $35 to make it nice and easy with change and the customers are giving me $63 cash or other random amounts?? What? Why arent they giving me 40 or 50 like normal people would in real life? Youre making me count just to make me count but we get a auto function when they pay with card?? wtf
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like the concept and a huge fan of sim games.... but this is poorly optimized and very limited in terms of gameplay. But hey don't take my advice because I have less than 1 hour in.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I try not to give negative reviews since I do want the devs to succeed, but as a consumer you'd be much more fulfilled from TCG Card Shop Sim or Cash Cleaner Sim if you're looking for a good entry to this genre. Putting the AI stuff aside, even though that alone gives this game a bad look imo, this game wants SO BADLY to not be a shop simulator. There's a whole city block you can run around and find collectibles in and little platforming puzzles and mini games and I can't help but think that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really really really want to play this game but it's a buggy nightmare. Massive random frame drops, crashing and so many bugs. I spent most of my time with my character holding onto a box they didn't want to let go no matter what. I really hope they fix this game. In its current state, pass on it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The jump from the first prologue/demo to the current Early Access build is honestly huge and really impressive. The game looks so much better now. It could still use some optimization here and there, but visually it already feels great. The world feels lived in instead of empty, which already puts it ahead of a lot of simulator games. One thing I really like is that the whole world does not just exist around the main character’s shop. You are not stuck in one building while everything else…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love simulation games like LOVE. So here’s my honest opinion. it’s an ok game to start. The exp sometimes feels slow to level up. My first theft I had a quick pop-up show for the thief. But because you’re so into the game, any click gets rid of that window so I didn’t realize I had a baseball bat. Staff npc needs work as well as actual security options for theft. Needs more store furniture styles and selections. scenery is very beautiful though i will add that. However if you dislike ai.…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm enjoying it so far. works smoothly for my on max settings. others have said characters look rough, but that isn't the purpose of the game. Good management game with good progression so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →September 30, 2026: I haven't opened the shop yet. I cleaned it up first and went to explore Koshima Island. It's pretty and bustling with life. It has a lovely view of Mount Fuji from the beach park right across from your shop! https://images.steamusercontent.com/ugc/13350391077546863843/4B340023F0D4FFFF26B71551BA3680B9F42302E8/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false There are various places to play basketball shooting hoops and fishing. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have really enjoyed my time with this game. Like any EA [Early Access] game, it has its quirks, but the overall atmosphere is great and feels very cozy. That being said, I do think there is room for more content. For example, it would be great to have additional decorations to personalize the shop—like posters and statues you would see in actual stores. If expanding the current shop isn't an option, I would love the ability to buy an entirely new building to sell new stock (yes, I am already…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →100% the game, and had very minimal issue. Only bugs I encountered were Items being stuck to hands and essentially loosing money. No crashes at all. Very enjoyable - a little grindy towards the end for the 500 orders as these are tied to time passing IRL rather than set points. Managed Blue ribbon before day 50, can be done sooner if open all 30 retro boxes from day 1 each day. Would highly recommend it adds a nice touch to the genre being able to go explore and have utility to the world…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good but too easy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are like me an Azerty keyboard player the game is nog playable. There is no option as well to adjust your movement. It seemed a fun and relaxting game but if can't move around propper the fun goes down the drain fast.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Currently wont recommend its gets messy in the further you go on. At the start its pretty simple order and sell games. The game even tells you if the price is too high which is a great feature to have however its not great with second hand items. With second hand items even if you are below the high marker customers will complain about the prices and you are kinda left guessing what price to set it for and can end up losing money with second hand items. The best times to stock newer items is…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still in EA but can't recommend at the moment. There are thieves in the game who can steal your game, but the game never mentioned how to stop them. Pretty ridiculous even for early access. Refunded.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is not (yet) much to do (especially at level 1) and it is a bit clunky to play but all in all after early access? probably a lot of fun :)) a first look at it, if you are unsure if you'll like it: https://youtu.be/UMWTrnaX8KI

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Outstays it's welcome by many hours Poor design decision to have some achievements locked behind such time sinks (1000 pack openings/500 online deliveries) you'll be finished with the gameplay loop long before hitting either of these goals. There's numerous shortcomings in running of the store too. You can't delegate duties like cleaning, running the trade in counter or online ordering for re-stocking low supplies. Other shortcomings are things like not being able to re-box stock that you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its fun and addictive, really recommended. It has nice exploration of a small Japanese village and amazing scenery. Closest I'll get to for now of actually living in Japan and running a shop. Some bugs, where if you talk to one of your employees when they are carrying boxes for storage its get stuck in the air and you cant pick it up or take out what's inside. Also, it would be great if there would be a better management system for storing and switching items around the shop.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Found the game in steam queue, wish listed thought I'd get it anyway because it's cheap. I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED. It's a simulator game but with depth, proper Japanese vibes with mini games too?!?! It's probably by far the best sim game I've played and it's really additive. I hope more content is released for this I love it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is still very janky and like many have said the models can look funny. However the systems in place at the moment follow that shop simulator game loop which is very addicting. Overall very early but gameplay is good enough if you like the genre, you can see where the polish needs to go and the potential it has. The little open world it has adds a pace change I really like. Edit; some really annoying bugs with second hand/shelves. Look out for these as they've kinda ruined my…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Im wrighting this bad review not because the game its self is Bad the concept is great but it does have its its issues. Its because you can see the developers have tried to implement Controller support but the controllers drift everywhere without you touching it this is both sticks left and right on a Xbox controller. I know its not my controller because on other steam games it works well. But what seems to annoy people. Is people are reporting issues like this and getting ignored the game…
