NEW VIDEO! Freedom Fighters is a charmingly simple action game that an increasing number of players want brought into the modern era. However, its vision of revolution bumps into one small problem—the reality of America as an institution in 2026. Hope you enjoy—share it around if you feel like it!

After playing this game again, all I can say is this game needs to be remade. This needs to be given the MGS Delta treatment where it's close to the original to a fault.

Childhood games that I cant get over. The music, gameplay, boxy graphics and the linear storyline is what attracts me the most. No bullsh*t quests or unnecessary open world. You fire the game and get straight into the action. This game is definitely worth a play and deserves a remake.

One of favorite games of all time, when i started to play on PC almost more than a decade back on my low tech desktop, this game was only one which ran properly and had nice graphics (at that time)... but boy... the gameplay was unique and extremely fun. And the soundtrack was awesome... we all felt the game when the soundtrack would become loud during the action... very well made game and it is always nostalgic for me to talk about this. And so I had recently played this as well in 2026, and…

I'm so happy IO Interactive is getting all this new attention from the new James Bond game. They've been one of my favorite developers since Hitman 2 and Freedom Fighters back in the PS2/Xbox days. They deserve all the love and I hope this new game takes the studio to another level.

A tradition that's lasted 13 years. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3758891788 I still remember the first time I played this game. It was an offline retail copy that one of my friends secretly shared with me at school, hiding it from everyone. I was just a kid, excited about gaming. Back in 2013, I came home, installed it, and started playing. Now it's 2026: 13 years later and I still have those old game files and save data. I've replayed this game over and over…

It is still the classic I remember—it feels like I’m experiencing it all over again, 20 years later. Maybe it’s the simplicity of its core mechanic—building and commanding your own squad—that makes it so special. Even after all this time, I can’t think of another FPS/TPS that captures this system quite the same way. We’re still waiting for a sequel… just polish that mechanic and release it already.

I played this game a bunch back in the day on the PS2. Alt-history setting and story is sick as you slowly become the leader of the American freedom fighter resistance and grow your army in a New York City taken over by the Soviet Union. Gameplay is kinda ass at the start since the guns all have ♥♥♥♥ spread and ammo is hard to come by. But once you get enough ammo for the AK and Sniper, combat gets pretty trivial. Your recruited fighters can also surprisingly hold their own as long as they're…

This ran so The Division could crawl. The music is composed by Jesper Kyd. In case your ADHD arse decides to skip the title intro, and five hours later you're wondering why your ears just came – he's the brain behind a little something called 'Ezio's Family'. Just trust me and play it kid. Your plain white dad will only ever recommend Hitman (or Kane and Lynch, if he's been in his room with mom for a while now). But all the peak is made between the lines, like they say in War Dogs.

Game 095: Freedom Fighters A grounded, kinda realistic third person shooter with tactical elements. Now, none of these words sound appealing to me, yet this game manages to execute it with such an evolving gameplay loop, satisfying gunplay and a very compelling plot, that I can't help loving it.

600MB game with playtime over 8 hours, I never thought there would be so many locations to conquer and so many twist in the plot, which really surprised me. The dev is definitely a fan of Hit-man series, which you can tell from the poster in the beginning map. As player you need to be wise on choosing which side of the map you need to conquer first and be careful not to encounter the enemy squad when you team is bad condition, decide what to do with your team, for example getting the C4 first…

Freedom Fighters remains a pure nostalgia trip a game that taught us courage, unity, and resistance long before we understood those words fully. It wasn’t about graphics or realism; it was about heart. For many of us, this game didn’t just entertain us it shaped our idea of what a hero looks like.

Back in the early 2000s, firing up this masterclass by IO Interactive on a bulky CRT monitor was peak childhood happiness. This is perhaps my most fondly remembered childhood video game. I think it has a nice and unique mix of small squad combat and shooting mechanics in a world where the USSR takes a "peacekeeping" role in New York. (Mamdani) I still wish for a follow-up to this game from IO.

Honestly, I went into Freedom Fighters expecting very little expectation and it completely caught me off guard. The story hooks you faster than you'd expect from a game that's over 20 years old. There's something about the pacing that just works. Every mission feels like it actually matters, and watching your squad grow while slowly reclaiming areas from enemy control is genuinely satisfying in a way a lot of modern games struggle to nail. One thing I didn't expect to appreciate as much as I…
