Not a lot of content either as I managed to finish the game in the same time as a 16hr shift. * As a fire fighter in real life, I find the voice acting cringe and dumb. For example, "We have a fire at such and such location" "Ok dispatch, that's not a lot. Do you have anymore information" or leaving station and Dispatch calling you.. Irl, it should be "Dispatch, Dispatch, this is…

The scene clearing where everything just vanishes from the ground feels really lazy. The mission system is also odd for a sim where you pick the fire you want to go to from a menu vs getting dispatched to them as they occur. The game has promise but if its anything like Police Simulator or Ship sim, I dont think it will improve.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The current state of the game is incredibly frustrating, especially for anyone that has been a firefighter in real life. The driving is all wrong, requiring you to abandone all regard for public safety, condition of the equipement, and safety of the squad. The non-human teammate AI is so badly worked that it's really only playable on easy mode. So basically, if you play it on easy, and skip the drive, it looks great. Turn up the difficulty and manually drive, and you won't be impressed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: I enjoy the rest of the game, I really do. And I dont know if the Devs decided "Oh we cant have the AI do all the work" and made them as useful as pissing against the wind with your mouth open. They stand in place because they detect a fire and hit the wall in front of it until you do your job and then they hit a ceiling. They will be downed and never help each other. Or You. I understand that the idea is to force people to play with randos? But Imma be real. Id rather piss against the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Memory Match Sim ❌ The Core Issue - This game forces memorization. Forcing players to fail a run just to memorize static layouts. The Gameplay Loop: - First run is blind guesswork. - Correct guesses feel unearned. - Zero reward for good intuition. - Replays are just memory tests. - Feels like a rigid speedrun. The Verdict: - Physics look great. - The gameplay loop is unfun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute dumpster fire of a game, looks great, is horrible, was trying to play online with a friend and something broke everytime.. a door couldn't be opened, water stopped flowing, water stopped putting out fire, and many MANY more broken things in this game. i was going to just see if the game got any better (spoiler it didn't) and then i was simply going to refund it.. but then no... owned it for too long (i know, my fault) so here i am stuck with this horrible piece of garbage game that i…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I deliberately held off on reviewing this game because I wanted to see how it would progress over a month or so and I've a lot to say. If I could give a neutral review I would - instead it'll be negative because the cons outweigh the pros. Before I start, I'd like to make it clear that I very, very much wanted to love this. I've completed everything on hard with gold medals and have offered extensive feedback on the discussion forums. The good: The game can sometimes be fun, even solo.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a medically retired firefighter/paramedic who spent 14 years in one of the largest fire departments in the country, this game hit me in a way I wasn't expecting. The moment I stepped into the station and walked through the bays, I got chills. No, it's not a perfect 1:1 recreation of the job, and no video game ever will be. You can't replicate the weight of the gear, the heat, the adrenaline, or the camaraderie that comes from doing the real thing. What Firefighter Simulator: Ignite does…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game doesn't get the proper maintenance and updates it needs to be sustained, the AI have began to just stop working and it becomes unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Firefighting Simulator: Ignite : A Promising Firefighting Simulator That Still Needs a Lot of Improvement As a firefighting simulation game, Ignite has an interesting concept and a lot of potential. The idea of responding to emergencies, driving fire trucks, rescuing civilians, and managing dangerous situations is genuinely appealing. However, after spending time with the game, I found many issues that seriously affect immersion, especially regarding vehicle handling, AI behavior, station…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The AI is hopeless. The previous game's AI wasn't great, but it's night and day better than this. Unless you've got 3 friends to play it to, you'll have an incredibly frustrating experience in the second half of the game where you stop being able to carry the fire yourself.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sorry I had to refund it. I am always wary of games published by Astrogon, they're usually recycled trash. On the surface, this game does look very pleasing, visually. But there are just bugs and things that frustrate me. A lot of my frustrations are probably personal/nit picky so I won't mention everything but in short, I'm looking for a serious simulation game and this just feels too arcadey for me. I would've kept it if there wasn't an issue hosting a multiplayer lobby. No matter what I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's... okayish. Poorly made, I feel. The AI of your NPC teammates has the collectrive IQ of a kicked-in basement window. They keep spraying water into empty corners and walls, and when you tell them to go into a room where fire is, they arrive and then just instantly waddles over to another room not on fire. And holy gallore of refusing orders all the time, and abandoning orders. It takes forever sometimes for an NPC to break open a door. I swear I first successfully got someone to spray…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game opens by telling me to stay clear of first responders. I AM the first responder. This is a German simulator, so it is not a game. It is a deontological ethics exam with a fire hose. The loading screen's plea is the wrapper. The prize is being moralized about grease fires, chemical fires, and electrical fires, then fighting them in a sanitized way while your Teutonic cutouts of Americans stand in doorways and spray walls. Germans love machinery simulators the way the sun loves setting…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The AI is abysmal, Ai not knowing what to do, where to go and just get stuck in a doing nothing animation. Only buy if you can play with friends. The game mechanics itself are good and fun, but the AI, well no.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having played through 2 different careers now, the game has come along having DLC's and giving more missions to play through. Before this last DLC, the AI pathfinding got better. Now on certain missions, it is absolutely atrocious. I watched as 2 of the AI, being tasked with various tasks like rescue victims, or put out fires, were continuously running into the same shelving unit. Even after I micromanaged their movement, they would go back to the same shelf trying to find their way. Out of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, why i not recommended this game? First one its a fully stupid bot mates who make your respondes more harder, they cant do anyrthing, absolutely, no they can of course, for example stuck on balcony with installed near ladder and screming in radio each 3 second "Mayday-Mayday im stuck", "HELP ME" instead serach and rescue or put out the fire. Its really irritate. Second reason: i really not understand, when u just seat in fire truck, ready to go, but ALWAYS bot team on another truck…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you have friends to play with this game may work better. The AI Squad is jokingly bad when you can actually give them orders. Some of the time they completely bug out and you can't order them to do anything. They literally just stand there. I'll remove this review if any improvements come.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a solo player, I still find the AI needing a lot of work. The AI still just stay in one room and spray water at a wall with full blaze behind them. They also lead civilians to windows that have ladders blocking the way out. Instead of taking another route the AI firefighter and civilian are just staring at each other while your trying to put out the fire by yourself. I've resorted to playing on easy because they AI are not very good and I have to to put out all the fires or go find people…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tried to like this game with a friend, but it's just a buggy mess, runs like ♥♥♥♥ even with a good rig. It feels like you constantly fight against the controls, it's unresponsive. 1 year later nothing changed, just new DLCs... Can't recommand this game in the current state.

AI: They are extremely dumb and shouldn't be called AI but drones who have 0 basic understanding of what they are doing. You will see the AI teammates spray water a wall that has 0 fire near it (including behind it). AI will spam voice responses 50 times or until the situation is complete. Worst thing that can happen is you tell the AI to do something and then you can't tell them to do…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a ton of fun. But needs polishing. I wish the campaign was longer. i wish the water had more power or reduce the time to put out a fire. Sometimes it feels like a garden hose. The Ai gets stuck frequently and randomly will reject certain commands despite being possible. (example: ai using bucket to spray roof, i tell ai to do anything else and it will leave the bucket but then deny the command. so you have to do it twice.) this happened on every mission, i got used to it. I bought it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →MP - yes great game Solo - no AI is doing nothing they try to rescue civilians but often rescue only few and start firefighting and they ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stai 1 room and do not finish it while i finished 4 rooms, if you give them order even worse they get stuck doing nothing afterward...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Single player is almost unplayable. AI just dont put out fires. I cleared 3 rooms, while the let whole house get on fire. But can be fun multiplayer, just not singleplayer

Happy Fire Fighting! 👩🚒

The game made me appreciate and understand some of the dangers real firefighters deal with on a daily basis. I have seen very few bugs and so far I’m impressed with the game. I highly recommend this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a career FF, this is the best, most detailed simulator of my job ive ever seen. nice graphics, nice physics, perfect details. Keep it up, keep it updated.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have over 200 hours in Firefighter Simulator: Ignite and, honestly, I've had a lot of fun with it. I've met some great people through the game, and when everything works, it's a great multiplayer experience. Unfortunately, I can no longer play multiplayer at all. Quick Play endlessly searches for a session, I can't join friends, and creating my own public server just loads forever. I've tried reinstalling the game, verifying files through Steam, restarting my PC, and troubleshooting on my…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In theory I like this game. In practice not so much. The game visually looks better than several other firefighting games currently available on Steam. That said it lacks customization options in single player, the character customization is limited to the main menu, and the vehicle customization is somewhat inadequate. Much worse than any of this is the AI. Your AI teammates will jump directly into fully involved rooms and down themselves without a second thought, get stuck frequently, and are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun to play, especially with friends (the AI is a complete idiot, especially Davis). And the game has optimization problem on high level. The game is too repetitive; every mission is the same, but thinking broadly, I couldn't come up with any ideas on what else could be done differently in a fire simulator game. Like "What if we put out a burning plane while it's flying?" 7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is raw, fps dropping, bugs, graphic demandable for poor quality.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The AI in this game is straight garbage. It keeps spraying the same wall on repeat, even when that wall isn’t burning anymore. Sometimes it will literally run into fire to “rescue” someone only to get itself roasted. Victims also spawn directly in the flames, which means you basically have 1–2 minutes to set up, scout the map, and get them all out. I’m not someone who ragequits. I actually enjoy playing on Hard where a single victim death = mission failed. After my 20th attempt on the same…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good idea but the game but basically impossible to play super buggy and laggy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So first the elephant in the room, AI team mates are horrendous. So often they just stand around broken no matter what commands you give or even if they are left to make their own decisions. It does make me some times just close the game so yeah if you don't have people to play with just keep that in mind Driving is okay but it is fun, customisation is good you can change vehicles colours and in the main menu is where you change your uniform... annoyingly ai keep the base uniform so if you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Now i really do like this game its a bunch of fun and id personally say its more fun. Here are the gripes before i get into what i like: - The AI is pretty terrible: I set up a ladder truck to get a computer on the roof and they set up a ladder right below it and when they cant go up the ladder they just stand there and If you tell them where to go especially when fighting fire they will just go back to whatever it was they were doing. Maybe even a beta version that can be selected in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everything it's just perfect besides the AI, if they will fix the AI then this game will be just perfect, I really hate that I am giving a negative review since i see that a lot of hard work has been put on this game, put when i am actually going to see a hotfix that will fix the AI i am going to change my review, For now it's a negative one(also i refunded the game and then bought it again, so I have the game right now, it's not refunded.)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do not usually like simulators as i dont have patience for them but this one i like it. playing with at least 1 person is better. so far i like the game. it is quite unique and missions are quite straight forward.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely awesome on the important stuff. The dispatch audio is a bit ridiculous for real world, but this is mainstream and really well done! Just make the pool table (etc) workable in the firehouse as a mini-game but it's *chef's kiss* either way!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Protecting the City level is broken. The 3rd floor gas valve was off but the gas wouldn't turn off. Wasted 40 minutes trying to get it done. The AI sucks and got two people killed. This game is ♥♥♥♥ without friends.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is honestly the best first responder/firefighting game and have logged over 110hrs to date. The mechanics are really solid for the most part, some are a tad clunky sometimes but nothing that truly gets in the way of gameplay. The driving is smooth and really fun (both to scene and back) brings a lot of realism in overall along with the firehouse as a whole which; if you're every lucky enough to even be stationed at one like that in real life, you're LUCKY LUCKY. Love that it brings a more…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So used to blowing things up and causing fires that it just hits different when you're in a game where you put them out. Since I've watched a bunch of seasons of Chicago Fire, I was able to ace the training missions on the first go. Being able to have NPC teammates to help you out makes things that much more immersive. Since I'm a survival game player I like to speed run the area and loot all the downed civilians while the rest of the team keeps the fire back. Can't wait till this game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Any dev team and publishers who create and or promote such a dumpster fire, please resign and find new careers because making games is most certainly not a smart career choice if this "simulator" is what gets churned out. Everything feels underwhelming, uninspired, underdeveloped and unfinished and is an absolute insult to anyone in the emergency response profession as a whole because no way should this ever be considered an accurate representation of a firefighter. The AI is about as useful…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game just a few things that could be better. 1. AI: the ai are WAY BETTER than the last their faster and more efficient, the last ones would barely do anything. The ai are sometimes calling mayday when their just standing there which is very anyoing but other than things like that their great. 2. VICTIMS: the victims are great exept for the concouse ones. thy always are saying wait for me and their right on your back and they repeat it to many times like i cant open my eyes or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible AI (both fellow firefighters and conscious victims) and game-breaking glitches, even with playing with friends. The amount of times I've gotten stuck mid-animation getting into the fire truck, or getting out of the truck at scene without my helmet on and being unable to interact with anything is insane. It's a real shame because the actual fire-fighting part is great and really fun overall with friends (minus the glitches of course). But if your situation only allows for single player,…

I am 89% complete with the career mode as of writing this review and I have a lot of thoughts. First of all, it's a great game and I highly recommend it to anyone who's ever dreamed of being a firefighter. The fire, smoke, and steam visual effects are really good, The fire dynamics are extremely impressive, real firefighting techniques are required to fight these fires, heat and smoke are very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's cool, was hoping for a more random co op play type play because I don't have many friends who have time to play games, but it is a fun game. Not real sure what the point in driving is but that's ....kinda fun every now and then. In any case, it is an interesting game and I'm enjoying it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best firefighting sim so far. The AI could do with some work, but this is still a great game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game imo. only thing i dislike is how dumb the AI is. Example: the Ai will walk right by an electrical box, point it out, then just walk the ♥♥♥♥ away to do something else without flipping it off. same with gas valves.

unlabelledView post →I understand that I'm playing on a potato but this game is very poorly optimized. The gameplay is solid, but the AI is a bit all over the place sometimes, and more importantly the NPCs that need to be rescued can bug out requiring a restart. At $35 for the base game the content is pretty short, I got the Year 1 edition and it hasn't really been worth it. TL:DR If you have money to burn or particularly enjoy firefighting, give it a go. If you're gaming on a budget or on a potato give it a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game started off being pretty fun but over time the AI has gotten so bad its turned into rage quit simulator. The AI now water the side of a building vs fighting the actual fires, OR they say they cant complete that order and then start saying this rooms clear over and over while running in a circle until the mission is finished. My advice...wait for the next AI update and try then...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I will start this by saying: YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY GOT TO FIX THE AI. They are SO BAD it's actually laughable, not just your AI firefighters, but the victims, too. The pathfinding is absolutely F-tier abysmal! Your squad mates will spam mayday calls constantly at best, when they are clearly able to move somewhere else, and at worst they will just stand there doing nothing and refusing to do anything until you direct them out of whatever invisible jam they're in. That said, I recommend this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is great, could use more customization but its still really fun reason for negative review is because for the love of god FIX THE DAMN A.I they dont listen to move here commands, they choose to put out fires when i set them to save civs not matter how many times i ask, they get stuck everywhere, they run into burning rooms and kill themselves, arguably the worst team a.i ive seen in a game. also i have a pretty good pc and can only run 1440p at 60ish fps on minimum settings while the game…

The "A" in AI stands for "Absent" Let’s talk about your "highly trained" squad. Calling these NPCs "firefighters" is an insult to water. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game itself is really well made. Physics feel very realistic. It´s fun to play, but with one exception; If you´re gaming by yourself you got the 3 AI models by your side, they´re absolute trash... Sometimes they got stuck or call for help or just stand outside of the building or in a room full of flames, and then, who could´ve guessed; a "Maday" call... I don´t get why they´re working on a dog in the firehouse if the basegame didn´t run as it should. But on the other hand it´s really…
