Though only 60fps because that's what Fedora thinks my monitor can do... But 60fps is plenty for this village / town / city building game! #Linux #Gaming #Fedora #SteamOnLinux #GamingOnLinux #FarthestFrontier
unlabelledView post →i'm trying to 'play' Farthest Frontier after the 1.1 update that opens up how buildings and roads can be placed in a non-grid based format. and i see screenshots like this that look appealing to me, compared to the pure grid-based approach. but when i sit down to play, i struggle with it.
unlabelledView post →Every time I think I'm done with Farthest Frontier that game grabs me by the scruff of my autism and goes "I didn't say you could leave", this post brought to you today by me staying up until 1:40am to play my dumb colony sim game
unlabelledView post →I've never played Banished, but a friend who loves that game recently recommended Farthest Frontier as "Banished 2.0". The Steam screenshots look like they might have tech trees as well. Again, I've not played either of these games, so YMMV. 🙃 store.steampowered.com/app/1044720/...

unlabelledView post →OOC: I've played about 25 hours of Farthest Frontier and it's definitely the Banished successor I hoped it would be. Great game so far
unlabelledView post →Still haven't bought Manor Lords, still haven't touched the new Fields of Glory medieval strategy game, can't find time to learn Farthest Frontier. It's all work stuff and comfort games.
unlabelledView post →Ok folks, I played the heck out of BG3 so...what should my next game be? Last Epoch (out of early access soon)? Stellaris again? The Iron Oath? Farthest Frontier? Sea of Stars? Something else?
unlabelledView post →RIP to anyone who released a game yesterday. There were 21 Popular New Releases alone! Escape the Backrooms, Farthest Frontier, Darkblade Ascent, Dark Hours and Onirism all hit 1.0 the same day. Staples like Jackbox 11 only spent a few hours on the front page.
unlabelledView post →@solodeveling.bsky.social creates a nice game which reminds me on Siedler, Farthest Frontier and Manor Lords. Give him some love and a follow if you like that kind of a game
unlabelledView post →Farthest Frontier scratched the Banished itch for me. very similar game directions imo, but with more stuff to manage in your management game. they just did an official release very recently, too
unlabelledView post →I've had a lot of fun with Farthest Frontier and Songs of Syx, but Rimworld is the one that keeps me coming back again and again after all these years. Odyssey DLC was a game changer in every sense of the word

unlabelledView post →In conclusion, I strongly recommend against buying Grim Dawn or any of its expansion DLCs, as well as the company's other game Farthest Frontier. So it goes, I guess. There's still plenty of other games to play out there, many whose devs know better than to touch genAI in any way.
unlabelledView post →Good Morning. How would you define a Strategy Game? Steam has Magic Arena, Crusader Kings, Farthest Frontier, and BloonsTD all on the same strategy page despite being wildly different games. What makes a game specifically Strategy?
unlabelledView post →Going live soon with two new games to check out - Fading Serenades and Mage Food Truck. Tomorrow night I'll be checking out the colony management game Farthest Frontier. Saturday is a return to BitCraft Online, rolling new tools and searching for pumpkin loot. Twitch & YouTube - Links in profile. 💜
unlabelledView post →I actually like Manor Lords a lot but it's still only half a game. What's there is cool, but compare it to other city-builders like Timberborn or Farthest Frontier and it's really glaring how little there is to actually do. Again I like it! Looking forward to patches But "the best"? GTFO
unlabelledView post →May stream tomorrow? Everyone is busy and all I really got on my plate is groceries and light cooking so I may stream. If I do it’ll be something like Farthest Frontier cuz that game is fun
unlabelledView post →Something about.....I like that early struggle for survival? I'm playing Farthest Frontier right now. I usually can't get past 800ish residents because that early game thrill is gone.
unlabelledView post →Farthest Frontier is by the same dudes who did Grim Dawn (which absolutely rules). Still early access, but Crate has done good things in the past and it's a fun (relaxing) game.
unlabelledView post →The game is, The Farthest Frontier; village builder sim. Looking at the forums, Crate Ent.; the devs, have been waging a war on left handed gamers for years, and I can't figure out why I'm glad they gave it up, cause I've been pissed for a year. Now I can play it, and it's fun
unlabelledView post →I got Farthest Frontier on sale, a couple months ago, and I'm just starting it, and I don't think I can play it Having to reach around for keys, that I should be able to rebind, but can't... takes a lot out of the game Wonder if I can still get a refund, over "left handed bigotry"
unlabelledView post →More games to look forward in 2026: - Trails Beyond the Horizon - Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter - A Ys game or two? - Either Farthest Frontier/Of Life and Land/Against the Storm - Hades II - Mario Kart World? - Some games in my Steam or Switch library - Balatro gold stake (it's always Balatro)
unlabelledView post →Hahaha no worries, I appreciate the enthusiasm :D It really sounds lovely and unique, I'm looking forward to where the game will go! I'm playing Farthest Frontier currently and it sounds like they share some traits but with your game having 100x more focus on nature, so I'm very interested.

unlabelledView post →I've been having a lot of fun playing Farthest Frontier lately. I really like how the map generation doesn't give you all of the resources you need, and you are expected to sell and buy with travelling merchants to get any resources you are missing. It feels closer to a real village that way. You need to base your village's economy on what you are given. I keep having trouble affording an army to defend myself from raiders though. #farthestfrontier #steam

Hardened defense, improved research speed (which involves improving papermill productivity with enough flax fiber, so researchers have enough paper) and destroyed a raiders camp (and looted it LOL) My villagers are happier than ever. Local brewed beers are flowing, glasswares and potteries are in the markets and very well received; local made furniture is traded at a…

unlabelledView post →Huge thanks to #EvolvePR for the game key for Farthest Frontier! Had an absolute blast leading my settlers through chaos and questionable city planning 😂 Appreciate everyone who stopped by to hang out tonight! Watch for the youtube video drop coming next week!
unlabelledView post →I tried Farthest Frontier, and it's good, but a little too hand holdy for my liking. The tech tier system basically means my early game will often look the same. #steamgames
unlabelledView post →Great to see Farthest Frontier exit early access. When Banished came out years ago it was a huge hit for me, FF is a more polished, more complex, but still relaxing take on that game. As you can see, I had a fruitful early access with the game... #FarthestFrontier

unlabelledView post →I almost brought Farthest Frontier to the show because that game *destroyed* me when I tried it in Early Access.
unlabelledView post →Farthest Frontier is leaving Early Access October 2025. Find out why the team needed more time and read about the huge changes coming to the game in v1.0 in the latest State of Early Access update: forums.crateentertainment.com/t/the-state-...

unlabelledView post →This game has already taken a great deal of my time in early access. Farthest Frontier announcing a spring 2025 1.0 is pretty exciting. Banished is one of my all-time favourites, and this is it's next evolution. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YDA...
unlabelledView post →TV definetly The Last Kingdom. John Lunn and Eivor made such an incredible score for that show. For games, definetly Alistair Lindsey's OST of Rimworld or Steve Pardo, who made excellent work on a game more people should play: Farthest Frontier. youtu.be/eq2ph7DGbNk?...
unlabelledView post →It's funny the number of Stardew posts that show up in my feed (not complaining) but if I end up in yours here's a recommendation to try Farthest Frontier...it is not that chill though you can turn fighting off but it IS a very enjoyable medieval farming/city builder game.
unlabelledView post →3. Farthest Frontier I've spent an ungodly amount of hours on this game. It's a town building sim, but set in medieval times. Still in early access, but I think it'll get to 1.0 release soon!
unlabelledView post →oooooh he new Farthest Frontier updates are excellent and have me exploring the game again 👀
unlabelledView post →Farthest Frontier *is* really fun. And if you like this, you'll probably like Grim Dawn, which is another game by the same developer (and which is also stupidly fun).
unlabelledView post →So because everyone is doing things about the interwebs and I’m trying to avoid doing the things here for as long as possible I’m going to talk about a game I picked up in the latest steam sale that I really have enjoyed deep diving into Farthest Frontier Note it’s still early release
unlabelledView post →@Sven well -- unsure - i have a hearty wishlist LOL My top three that i'd like to pick up (which aren't wildly expensive to begin with) are #Tunic #GardenGalaxy #FarthestFrontier But I'd love #GodofWar and #Spiderman as well, always wanted to pick up #MonsterHunter for PC (I played on PS back when it launched) :gameslove: :8bit_mario2:
