Don't forget to download and use mods, especially Courseplay and Autodrive ... they take the game to a whole new level. Try and resist using money mods in the beginning, they will shorten the enjoyment period a lot!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TBH, I would recommend a later version of the game over this. The mechanics of the game and the equipment/mods are my main reasons for saying this. FS2015 is stable but it is starting to show it's age. You will struggle to work some components like forestry. I know many prefer this game for nostalgic reasons. Fun can still be had playing it. Grab it on sale with a large discount if you want to try it otherwise get later iteration of the game.

The pros: Simple game Easier than FS25 Benchmarking feature that only stayed in one game The cons: Lags when you turn the lights on the first time (after loading into a game) or sometimes while in mid-game (only con I can think of) 9.8/10 very peak!

Now in 2025 i play FS22 quite a bit on my PC but my underpowered laptop runs FS2015 like a dream. And with cloudsaving playing the map today ive played on with my friend almost 10 years ago is pure goodness. Love the Farming Simulator games to bits and playing older versions is real fun still. Great game!

I don't really see any significant difference between the many versions that came before for after, but if you want something very casual and chill, Farming Simulator is definitely that. This is probably the only game I'd recommend as a way to treat insomnia.
