Good stuff for adapting what could be at most a 20-minute video game (if you get lucky and know what you're doing) into an hour and a half-long movie. The way they expand the material and thematically weave in the idea of being stuck in a loop of...

unlabelledView post →Saw the movie Exit 8 Honestly, one of my favorite adaptations of a video game ever. It works really well as a movie, and the stuff they added makes sense without deviating much from the premise of the game. Would highly recommend!
unlabelledView post →Tonight’s horror watch (we’re one behind) is EXIT 8, a liminal spaces type of horror film from Japan that adapts a video game—pretty literally I assume, as it drops characters into an atmosphere-drenched place with rules and an objective
unlabelledView post →#Shocktober movie 3: Exit 8 (2026) So wild to see a lovingly adapted film of a small indie game. If you haven't played the game I think this is a great version to experience! If you have played it, it does get a bit samey a lot of the time. Love the ambition, could be better though. ⭐⭐⭐

unlabelledView post →a friend asked me about Exit 8 lately and its been on my mind. i was so curious to see how they'd turn a simple little game into an entire movie, and they did it successfully! (with some additional lore/movie touches)
unlabelledView post →I was very taken with Last Exit to Brooklyn. I’ve only seen the film of Requiem for a Dream & found it unremittingly bleak.
unlabelledView post →The streamer that I watch (big RE fan) really liked the movie, but had issues with some of the humor and the third act. Overall it felt he liked more the Exit 8 movie than the RE one, but he very much enjoyed it

unlabelledView post →I have actually never played the original Exit 8 video game and I've only watched the film to be honest while the original game looks very creepy and interesting and unique I really like what the film did gave the whole world some Meat to the Bone I liked it.
unlabelledView post →13th movie is Exit 8 (2025)! A man becomes increasingly desperate when he realizes he is trapped in a subway station, needing to complete a mission to get out. This film is based off a game of the same name, which I didn't know until now. This will be a spoiler-free review! 1/

unlabelledView post →Now watching Exit 8; the film based on the indie horror(?) game. I played the latter for an hour and while I enjoyed the concept, the act of trying to complete it became frustrating so I hope translating it to a different medium is a more enjoyable experience
unlabelledView post →Exhuma is great. I’ll second that one. If you liked When Evil Lurks I can’t recommend Terrified highly enough, earlier film from the same director. I liked Exit 8 a lot. It’s sort of like a Japanese Cube mixed with a bit of Backrooms.

Side note, the film French Exit is charming, made more so by Michelle Pfeiffer's performance. I hope to find a used copy of the book #blusky #canada

unlabelledView post →October Horror movie marathon: Exit 8. I know nothing about this. Going in blind. 10 minutes in and it's basically like a level in a video game where you have to go a specific way or else it repeats on you and you never find the exit. #filmsky

All that struggle to end up doing the bare minimum anyway 🙄 Also, I’m sick of hearing babies cry, don’t want that irl, don’t want that in my horror movies, thanks! 3/5⭐️ #31DaysOfHorror

unlabelledView post →Next up: Exit 8. I enjoyed this! It's not, ah. Always subtle, thematically speaking. But then, neither am I. 😅 I found the movie very clever and engaging. Kinda interested in playing the game now, and I'm very curious to see how it compares to Backrooms, should we pull that movie this year.
unlabelledView post →Exit 8 (2025) I almost fell asleep during it, but the movie got incredibly loud and pissed me off. It's very drawn out and honestly would've worked better as a short film. It's kinda funny how prone the characters are to crashing out.
unlabelledView post →Exit 8 has to be one on the most game accurate movie I have seen up to this point. No o see it has such high ratings. Tonight’s film is what made me want to do this weeks theme in the first place. Tonight’s movie is Iron Lung (2026) Got my popcorn ready #October #HorrorMovie

unlabelledView post →I'll watch resident evil at some point, I'm not into gore for gore sake and what Red Letter Media said, it's not fun to watch a person play a video game poorly. A good horror movie is more than it's kills and brutality. I made a stink about Exit 8 being about "fathers become parents now" already.

unlabelledView post →Exit blends thrilling action with heartwarming messages, delivering strong performances from Yoon A and Jung Seok in a physically demanding and emotionally resonant story. The film highlights the enduring power of family and human compassion during crisis. With sharp cinematography, tension-building music, and moments of humor, it’s a disaster film that entertains and inspires. Read the full review here: (Indonesian version : alunauwie.com)
