24 of 24 · most liked firstSince I hadn't seen the extended Mandarin cut before, I'm calling this watch of Erotic Ghost Story my 100th first viewing of 2025. letterboxd.com/24fpsuk/film...

unlabelledView post →#NowWatching Erotic Ghost Story (1990 Lam Ngai Kai) would you believe I'm struggling through this. The problem with trying to watch a movie like this as a movie rather than a masturbatory aid is that the middle hour is just slo-mo sex scenes, so I'm here checking my phone a lot.

unlabelledView post →Erotic Ghost Story is a fun movie, but it's still so funny to me how it ends up being oddly staged to accommodate the different levels of nudity that each actress agreed to.

unlabelledView post →Carrying on with the boxset. This one came with a poster for the film (the first one had a small booklet) which is fun. I’ll probably frame it. #NowWatching EROTIC GHOST STORY 2 (1991) #FilmSky

unlabelledView post →Erotic Ghost Story is a set unto itself. Original movie, Just Amy Yip version (original), Just Amy Yip version (4K), Just Amy Yip's *transmission garbled* version, said version in 4K. Oddly no original movie in 4K.
unlabelledView post →The Erotic Ghost Story boxset is WELL worth picking up if you're interested in Cat III cinema. Increasingly weird, and increasingly fun, as the series goes on. Amazing package from 88 as well: 2 cuts of each film, commentaries, booklet, poster, postcards and other on disc extras besides.
unlabelledView post →Sensual tale of the perils of lust, that takes your CAT III turn to gory horror in the third act. Just wild, as expected? My ★★★½ review of Erotic Ghost Story on @letterboxd.social boxd.it/7XosIl
unlabelledView post →Hell yeah lol One time I was watching The Witches of Eastwick on some channel and I was like "hang on, this is just like that movie I saw on SBS" and then I looked in the tv guide and found that Erotic Ghost Story was scheduled for that night so I watched it afterwards. Surreal
unlabelledView post →Another four: the third installments in the EROTIC GHOST STORY franchise might be my favorite? Fukasaku's final Yakuza flick. There's more to Aronofsky's first film than you may remember. A perfect snapshot of a specific moment in youth culture.
unlabelledView post →Finished Erotic Ghost Story (1990). All you can ask of a film like this is that it has heart and I think this one does. I can’t vouch for the sequels yet but going to keep an open mind.
unlabelledView post →My copy of the Erotic Ghost Story trilogy had arrived by the time I got back on the bus last night. I only had the energy to watch a little. If this film is for “the male gaze” is I think more complicated than I thought—not necessarily or not exclusively. The men are often the butt of the jokes.

unlabelledView post →The only other movie I've seen from him is Erotic Ghost Story, which was fine, nothing truly outstanding. I really need to see The Cat though, man that one looks wild!
unlabelledView post →The Erotic Ghost Story trilogy gets weirder and better film by film. Part 3 is definitely my favourite. letterboxd.com/24fpsuk/film...
unlabelledView post →I watched the movie called Chinese Erotic Ghost Story 1998 last night about a tax collector who is given a talking magic dick with a mind of its own.
unlabelledView post →Winter Break Viewing Diary: Erotic Ghost Story III. There is at least one more to the series, but I am tapping out here. The first film concentrated on the three ghosts. This film focused on a sappy human. Even the interesting villainess couldn't hold my interest.
