There is a bug with certain graphics drivers that cause the game to be unplayable (It crashes without warning five minutes after startup). This will most likely never be fixed as the game is essentially completed in terms of progress, If you encounter this issue you are not alone. Besides this bug the game is wonderful and is worth…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This a great game but it is buggy and the developers have moved on, so there is no hope of fixes. While it isn't expensive it is disappointing. Once the world becomes populated it begins to lag until it eventually freezes and/or crashes. I love the game idea and the cute art style, but it gets frustrating to try to play after awhile.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It had potential, but now it's abandoned and incomplete.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →equilinox is so satisfying until you hit endgame and entire biomes still feel empty. this game feels incomplete but it's never getting updated, so i can only half-heartedly recommend it. where're the pandas?? who's gonna eat all this bamboo???
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoy the game, but after populating the world, it started experiencing glitches. My PC is fairly powerful, and during gameplay, the system load typically stays below 30%. However, the game itself begins to freeze periodically, which significantly impacts the gameplay experience. I hope this issue can be resolved. I’d also like to mention that when I load into my populated world, the game runs smoothly for about 3 minutes. After that, distracting micro-freezes start occurring every 3…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Eh. It COULD be a fun game. It doesn't really start you off well, during the tutorial phase. The graphics are small, the controls kind of hard to find, and after I'd done a few tasks, I didn't really feel the need to do more. I'll try reading through the documentation and see if I'm more invested at that point, but they can definitely do more to make the game a fun start.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is super chill and relaxing. The music is incredible, and there's something very satisfying about building and maintaining habitats. I play this game when I'm stressed out or frustrated and it almost always makes me feel better.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hasn't been updated in a long time and missing some key species (ex. bamboo mentions pandas eventually being added to the game, but there still aren't any) but very fun and the game mechanics are good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At the start this game was fine but later is was really boring, nothing spreads or goes over set limits meaning nothing really happens at all. Also why do I need to do 500 tasks to get some random flower I want??? It takes forever and is just really boring
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A wonderful, calm little game I clearly (after 177 hours) love very much. I don't know how to categorise Equilinox, really. It's sort of casual meets puzzle, meets Lego, meets management? Except none of those are stressful. This is one of those games I turn on if I'm stressed or very brain-tired after work. Pop a video, podcast or playlist on and just zone out while making a pretty little landscape for all of my lil guys. The core gameplay loop is this: You buy both animals and plants…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The most cozy game I've ever experianced! I was following development of this game from the beggining to release on dev's Youtube channel. His videos are so bright, relaxed a positive, that game had no chance to became different. I love-love-love this game! Please follow dev's YT channel, support him!

The save files all say ERROR so I am wondering if its an issue with the autosave. I've looked for fixes and mods but it seems like the game is just not well made when it comes to function since many others are having the same issue. Really sad because this seems really fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really great game! Relaxing, enjoyable and complex, without being confusing! Well done developer!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice little game and surprisingly addictive as you try to evolve and grow your ecosystems. Played it through twice with each playthrough about 15 hours or so. Probably won't do another playthrough, but who knows. Although it doesn't offer any 'disaster' scenarios, and can run idle for a while, neither will the game progress without you intervening directly - unlike SimEarth, where I won it the first playtrhough without doing a single thing after putting it on max speed and sitting back. A…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to like this game, and pick it up again after not playing it for a long while, but the UI is very small and makes it difficult to read any of the information. If you have a higher resolution screen or have any difficulty reading/seeing small text (or just don't want to strain your eyes) I can't recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such a fun and relaxing game. Watching your animals roam around and interact with other animals or plants is so fun. There are many unique interactions in the game, such as beavers making dams, birds making nests or bees making hives (and many more). The game has about 10 hours worth of content and it is well worth the price!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such a wonderful game - not the best thing you've ever played, obviously - but god is it satisfying and just some good classic fun. From a design perspective - why is there no hotkey to speed time up? Why offer it if not? Why not add a toggle? Currently, from what I can tell, you have to left click and hold on the UI icon for the speed up. There's a hold to pause key (spacebar) but no speed up. That and no UI hotkeys (to open up interfaces) is my only qualm with this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have it running while WFH - the biomes develop quite nicely when left alone.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember watching this game as it was made on YouTube. Brought back some nice memories.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's basically a city builder game where you build ecosystems. Takes around 7 hours to complete. The pacing is really well done, until the last few plants and animals. I wish the game encouraged bigger habitats, and that researching new plants and animals awarded some points.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can see the vision in this game. However, it has lots of logical flaws and questionable design choices. Like the missing options for time speed, constant back and forth in the UI to get infos and nonsensical requirements for evolution (e.g. wild mint needs 3 rabbits to evolve into a carrot, but rabbits need carrots as a hard requirement to satisfy their habitat needs). Also there is no world editor and entities do not spread on their own unless placed. TL;DR, lots of small things make the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a super peaceful sandbox game that doesn't frustrate you with clunky systems and growth trees that make no sense. The game has its systems described and how to interact with them. The systems are awesome, i love my fish particularly. The artstyle does wonders for this game as well. It truly makes this game stand out in the face of all the others and makes it just that much better. Its a 10/10 game and something id recommend you play for a few hours if youre ever down or stressed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awful game, awful UI, awful simulation, awful graphics. You have to click and hold on a minuscule button to advance time a bit faster and still is too slow. Even setting the game to fullscreen felt like a chore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have had a crippling god complex since I was born. This made it worse.

It is so fun and rewarding to unlock new species and watch the life expand to cover the barren map. I have over 150 hours in this game and I still find myself coming back to replay it every few months.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice relaxing little game, with a very satisfying set of core mechanics. It's really nice watching the life you put down spread and change, and there's a lot that you can do with the modification system changing colour and size so you can end up with something quite different even though it's using the same model. That said, it does feel unfinished. Several of the in game descriptions reference things that aren't in the game, and the map size is too big to fill without a lot of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is like a Bullet Train, you feel amazing at the start, whooshing by the beautiful scenery and mind racing even faster with visions of whats next, but then you crash down a ravine because the train tracks are unfinished and no one cared enough to let you know. Very good base and gameplay loop that very simply needed more content and depth to make it stellar, but it never got that. And with no workshop, modding community or word from the devs it seems like it will never come to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very relaxing casual little game with lots of potential. My #1 suggestion would probably be mod support.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game sucks. I really wanted to like it. Minimal controls that you need to restart the game every time you adjust something. I got completely softlocked or something on what should've been very simple. I would genuinely only have bought this game for $2 or less. Got it from a bundle, so it doesn't sting too much.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game seems very unfinished and I've been spending a lot of time just waiting for something useful to happen now with no signs that it ever will, everything has been in effective stasis for multiple in-game years with no useful events. Game needs a "fast forward to a notification" feature badly but multiple comments say it's been abandoned. With that said the other complaints seem overblown so I'm changing this to recommended, but only with the caveat that you should get it cheap due to low…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Once in a while, i have a look at this game, hoping the development goes on. The game has a lot of potential and i liked all the time playing it - but it feels like i have played it through. That's sad.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyable to watch your world bloom, and I really like the random mutations in color just as a silly visual thing. I especially enjoyed that I did not once get stuck in progression to the point where I had to Google the answer. It's always a bit of a bummer to have to do that so it was really nice that everything I needed to know was easy to find in-game, and I think a good balance was struck with that too, it didn't feel like it was made easy or trivial to have this information…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've never seen anyone talk about this game, but I found it on a whim one day and if my 145 hours is any indication, it was well worth the purchase. This game is so peaceful and calming. I personally love the poly art style as well. It scratches the "unlockable-s" itch well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dealing with really bad nausea right now, needed something calm and easy to play to distract myself. This works wonders if you want to calm down and take your mind off things for a bit.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Neat lil ecosystem builder with a bunch of species to discover! Kind of weird theres not more games in this niche tbh
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played the scenario, unlocked everything, then made my own paradise. Rinse, repeat.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've had Equilinox sitting in my library collecting dust for a few years so I finally decided to try it out. And honestly it's a very fun game for what it's offering. There isn't that much content and I was able to get through everything relatively quickly (bit of a learning curve) but it was still fun. The only issue is that there aren't very many animals and the variety fizzles out quick. The game is no longer in active development so there's no hope of anything new being added. Regardless,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is lovely but it has some gamebreaking bugs with a memory leak on sound effects that will never be fixed because the dev abandoned this project.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice and gentle little time passer. You don't need to pay too much attention, just watch your grass, and trees and shrubs grow. Put down some sheep and chickens, then a few fish, and slowly build your little biome!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's just not enough gameplay or visual to make this game worth it once you've completed the basic progression. Every time I open it, I feel frustrated and disappointed that it's so unsatisfying to play around with it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Zen natural evolution game, takes less than 10 hours to complete. It is a chill, cheap time sync and relaxation. I do however feel like the various flora doesn't spread pretty far and it ends up leaving a very splotchy landscape that would be better helped by having a little bit more aggressive spreading on all plants.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A calming point & click simulator, with eye-catching visuals, and a relaxing soundtrack. The game play loop is calming, the customization diverse, with my only complaint being that I wish there were more things in the game (more animals, plants, and a bigger map.) I would highly recommend this game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sometimes Grass Growing Sim 3000 just can't cut it and your AuDHD demands you play something with a little more oompf. Bouncy little geometric fauna and accompanying flora like something from a wild trip described in the music of 'Dark Side Of The Moon' will satisfy the part of you that craves both release from reality and total control over your environment. Favourite evolution game. 9.6/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still one of my alltime favourite games. Just very chill.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very simple yet complex game. I have not completed the game but I've played it many times over the years and there's a couple tips I'm gonna throw out for people struggle or feeling like progression is slow. First: Go big. You have a ton of space. feel free to dedicate a good 10-20% of the map to grasslands if you feel like it. You can easily remove it later and early on it will make splitting all the various branches off it much easier without hindering your other plants and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game up until you've got a fair few number of biomes. Then it's unplayably laggy. Freezes for about 5 - 10 seconds every 2 seconds. That's with the following specs: * Nvidia 4090 * i9-13900K * 32GB Corsair RAM
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So as it turns out, if you change fullscreen settings in any capacity, there's a small chance it can permanently lock you out of being able to interact with the game at all. It will just automatically minimize the window no matter what and you can't get back in. Can't uninstall and reinstall the game to fix it. Can't figure out a way to change it from outside the window or in steam. It will just permanently render the game unplayable. 16 hours down the drain
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Equilinox is a peaceful ecosystem simulator built around the simple pleasure of creating a landscape and watching life gradually take hold. Developed and published by ThinMatrix, it approaches simulation from a noticeably calmer direction than games centered on economies, cities, or survival. Instead of constantly threatening the player with failure, it provides an open natural environment where plants and animals can be introduced, nurtured, evolved, and combined into increasingly complex…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its definitely one of the better games i own on steam, its nice to play after a stressfull day or if you just wanna chillout and relax.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Natural Evolution hardly happens in this game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →such a chill little game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the game but the lack of World Generation options is a travesty. I have very little control over the hills and plains of my world and end up re-rolling over and over and over and over and over and over. It's really annoying. There should be a world overview that shows you the world before you accept playing on it. Until this is added, I'm not recommending this game.
