It blends together aspects CRPG, TRPG, and ARPG into a cohesive and actually quite challenging isometric experience. It's got some of those classic postapo vibes you might expect from the Wasteland series or even something like Atom RPG, some of the ridiculousness you can find in the Fallout series, but also the more methodical and meticulous gameplay of something like Last Train Home. And yet,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The games firehose doesn't seem to be slowing today. The one that surprises me most is that Dustwind - an indie tribute to Fallout Tactics - is getting a sequel. Today. Looks to be more story-focused than the last They don't seem to have promoted it AT ALL. Zero press releases in my inbox archive.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Smaller Scale Fallout Tactics - Where you play as Farmboy Jake, his dog Diesel, Wife Amanda and his wife's boyfriends Jeff and Diego. Your Post-apocalyptic farm was attacked by a guy named Warlord and his raider army invaded and took your stuff. Now you search for survivors and kill the Raiders. In starting mission it will be Jake and Diesel, while dog seems weird he can be good bullet sponge and inventory keeper. Dog is also good at throwing grenades and putting mines, also for baiting…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Genre - Turn based combat with RPG elements sent in a post apoc world I played the original Dustwind game not long after release, and I loved the mechanics. it really scratched my turn based combat itch, The problem was there was no campaign only scenario maps. But with the varied steam achievements I used these to push me through playing the game more. This game seemed to drop under my radar at a time when I have been searching for accessible turn based games. Luckily I spotted it and used…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is effectively an alternate universe Fallout Tactics-esque game played via real-time-with-pause. If you enjoy the Pillars of Eternity games or similar types that reward wise tactical decisions in combat, this will likely appeal to you. The game itself is played in a small squad format (2-4 members, including a dog), and game challenge revolves around wise investment of skill points from each mission to become progressively more effective in your typical…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Dustwind: Resistance" is a follow-up of Dustwind. compared to the first game in the series it is a singleplayer tactical game with RPG elements similar to Fallout Tactics. While you don't build your team up front, you take over the role of Jake (Son of a Farmer), your team is expanded by a trusty dog that is a really cool character and then a further party member. You later get access to a car to drive around in. Compared to the old fallout tactics you have no option to switch between turn…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an exceptional real-time tactics game. There's a surprising amount of depth with equipment and builds. I usually am not a big fan of micro, but with the pause system and small squad size it feels really satisfying to make tactical moves and outmaneuver the enemy. Honestly, I feel that this game punching way above its weight class, and amazingly I only encountered 1 bug (which has since been patched). Highly recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plays like the first with some improvements. Priced fairly. Would recommend.

Explore areas and loot items in post apocalypse. [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35180752-3-point-play/] Follow our curator for similar games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR: it is a railroading experience, somewhat like a dumbed down Fallout: Tactics. Decent game, though feels rushed, like a "single player scenario for a demo of a map editor application" - if you played Sword Coast Legends, then you capture my meaning. I still recommend this game, as it can give you some entertainment. One friendly warning though!!!!!! If you have at least minimal experience in small group tactical games, play it on higher difficulty levels than Normal! I started it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay is the same as the first game. (i.e. like Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel Tactics in real-time mode) The HUD has been changed, it provides much more screen space but is less aesthetically pleasing. Skill point allocation has been changed so you can only distribute points at the beginning of levels. A few new weapons were added as well as 2 new low lvl armors and 2 new vehicles (the vehicles exist, but aren't used much). Like the first game you play a preset character in the campaign…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Real-time non-puzzle tactics with active pause. Enjoying so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game and a great price. Reminds me of the old Fallout games and the Wasteland games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reminded me of old school fallout. Pretty short game. No side quests. Just story line. It was fun. I am done.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You've got a dog after the apocalypse! You know what that means: real-time strategy action! Welcome to Z-Software's Dustwind: Resistance! Did I mention you have a DOG? Yeah, yeah, Josh wrote up a review for the game, but there's a DOGGO. I hope you can pet them. www.gamegrin.com/reviews/dust...

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is definitely not an RPG, not a Tactics and not a Strategy. Action-Adventure? Maybe. Anyway, I can't recommend it. And I don't know who were all these folks giving positive reviews. Do you want some post-apocaliptic tactics RPG - better check "Dead State". Scenario and the world: The scenario is not just childish, it is absurd. On the first slides you've been told that villagers are veterans, few moments later they are helplessly wiped out by a couple of raiders. You lived your whole…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice spiritual successor to Fallout Tactics that scratches that itch for a active squad tactics game. Campaign is ok and UI is decent. Replayability is relatively high with skirmish and map editor. All in all a good enjoyable relaxing experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dustwind: Resistance out today. Inspired by OG Fallout. From indie studio Z-Software GmbH. “This is the game Dustwind fans have been waiting for. Streamlined, immersive, and focused entirely on single-player action." Andreas Heldt, Head of Z-Software GmbH store.steampowered.com/app/3110370/...
