Then I love it. This isn't dungeon keeper. I don't know what dungeon keeper is, but scanning the negative reviews will tell you that people bought this game not called dungeon keeper, and then discovered that it isn't dungeon keeper, and were very upset. This is a dungeon-making/ time management/ strategy game. It's pretty easy, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dungeons: The Dark Lord - A Frustrating and Neglected Experience Dungeons: The Dark Lord is a disappointing game that feels more like an unfinished product than a polished release. While the concept of managing your own dungeon sounds appealing, the execution is severely lacking. The game suffers from constant crashes, which make it nearly impossible to enjoy. These abrupt and frequent crashes, often without any clear cause, completely disrupt gameplay and make progress feel futile and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its an alright game if you realize what it is. This is NOT A DUNGEON KEEPER Clone nor is it ment to be. Think of it like SimDungeon or DungeonTycoon. Thats the best way to describe it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Falsely accusing me of piracy, I have been permanently banned from this garbage games garbage forums. I couldn't even load my copy which is quite provably legally in my posession. Steam systems can't lie. I have therefore been robbed, abused, insulted, and then swept under the rug by petty ignorant childish imbecils who can't take criticism. This is pathetic, and so are the makers and producers. This entire company and all it's associates needs to go under and never return to the world again.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Firstly, don't believe that Dungeons is a Dungeon Keeper remake. It's not. Dungeon Keeper was about massing armies of minions and then trashing the incoming heros with them. Dungeons is more about indirect hero management (very much like a Dungeon Master in D&D) and this is no bad thing. Actually I prefer the concept of Dungeons far more than I did Dungeon Keeper. Are there enough piles of loot for hero's to find? Are they being adequately challenged by you minions? Is the dungeon decor…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everytime the game starts it reinstalls the VC Distributables. Then when it finally loads up it's some crappy Kalyspo Launcher that forces you to make an account to even play single player. Then you finally get in, and if you adjust any display settings the game isn't smart enough to go to windowed or change resolution on the fly, so you have to exit out and deal with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ VC Distributables and launcher. Not sure what they have against customers, but they sure like making it painful to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dungeons - The Dark Lord is a 3/4ths top down dungeon digging, operating, micro managing game with most of the emphasis on micromanaging instead of digging. On the surface it looks pretty much like the old Dungeon Keeper series of games. However, in the 3 dungeon 2 hour tutorial, you'll learn its about 'entertaining' heroes that invade your dungeon and then killing them for their soul points or whatever. The heroes are attracted to certain things. Some want gold, so you need to let them…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thoroughly enjoyed playing it. Has more freedom of control and design then dungeon keeper. Both making/decorating your dungeon and controling your dungeon lord to hunt heroes is a lot of fun. Only fun braking difficulty I experienced was constant soul gathering need and racing with heroes for endless leveling, leaving you always needing to push yourself harder untill immenent defeat from op heroes rather then having fun. But I guess no dungeon boss stays undefeated after all..
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the idea of Dungeons, but there are so many issues I have with the game that I can't recommend this game. It's not that it's a bad concept, I mean to be a dungeon boss, and rule with an iron fist. Ok. I like the gameplay mechanisms, build out the dungeons and entertain heroes. I'll even accept the stupidity of that last statement. Your dungeon is there to entertain or get heroes "excited" then you can kill them and get soul energy. What I can't stand is how the game actually…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Couldn't reach the game because of the completely broken DRM. I feel ripped off because I waited too long to get a refund. Never buying anything from Kalypso ever again!

There are a slew of exciting new features, including four-player multiplayer in four modes! Along with the addition of multiplayer modes such as Deathmatch and King of the Hill, there’s now the ability to play as some of the game’s popular bosses (Minos, The Dungeon Lord, the Zombie King and more) in multiplayer, along with the addition of an extensive single-player campaign, a new dungeon…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dont buy this game steam shouldnt put it down as a multiplayer game the multiplayer servers where shut down ages ago .
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Before clicking play on Steam, disconnect your computer from the internet and you won't have to worry about creating an online account and such. You can turn your internet back on right after the game launches.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game definitely does not deserve such a bad review score. They should not have named this DUNGEONS because it lead too many people to expect DUNGEON KEEPER, which it is not. It is so much better than Dungeon Keeper on many different levels. This is a real "strategy" game. It is less of a "mass my horde and crush" and more of a race against a very peculiar and difficult to predict enemy. It has ENORMOUS replay potential, which DUNGEON KEEPER style games do not. Too bad. I think this game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you want to be your own dungeon master? Ever have that itch to kill heroes and not finding a way to scratch said itch? This is the game for you!!!! Although it does get tough. Its NOT a Dungeon Keeper CLONE. Its more like the Sims. Editing the levels to make your level unique is easy to use. Maybe people don't like this game because it is fully 3d and has similar controls to a 3D design program. So far, it's has entertained me for about 3 hours and that is more then I can say for many other…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just not a fun game at all. Heroes enter your dungeon and you try to lure them to look at statues and enter your rooms so they become happy then you slay them collecting soul energy to make more statues and rooms . the game just sucks sry ..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah, if your are looking for the spiritual successor of Dungeon Keeper, thats not it. The Game revolves around the heroes invading your dungeon not the other way around. You'r much more a Wallmart Store Owner trying to keep the customers (Heroes) inside so you can clean their pockets dry, than an evil lord. The whole freaking game is about pleasing the heroes. And it quickly get boring and annoying. And you so desperatly wants the game to be good since you loved Dungeon Keeper so much, but it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this with the humble bundle ($12 for Dungeons 1/2/3 with all Xpacs), I really enjoyed the vanilla Dungeons game a ton, so I was looking forward to the Dark Lord (expansion)? I have a lot to say but bullet points are more fun & easier on the eyes. Pros - Another funny campaign story and we learn more about the other dungeon lords from Dungeons 1 - New building options (monsters/trap etc), new adventurers/heroes & new settings - You can spent gold & soul energy to level up your dungeon…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would like to have played this game but the thrird party login just would not let me. Untill they fix this I would not recomend purchase (steam refunded me)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Patronizing, overly complicated, buggy, very slow gameplay, hard to understand what the game designers want you to do, not a very fun experience, and games are meant to be fun right? Forces you to log into the Kalypso site to run the game, unless you block it in your firewall. Don't waste your money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very BAD Dungeon Keeper clone, which seems more like a The Sim. It avoid everything that made DK a masterpiece, and enhance stupid and hateful things like resources.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Came out in 2011. It is not 2025 & you cannot play it without creating an account... Just... no.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good game, but the game play is just not "fun". That's subjective, just my opinion, but the approach is indirect which I did not like. It's unfair to compare this game with Dungeon Keeper, but that is inevitable. But, just on its own, there are some limitations to the game play that made it a 3-time only game one evening. I tried 3 different levels, and got started on the "campaign", but it just didn't grab me. There are so many great games to play these days... I won't keep TRYING to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game!! But sadly, it needs more content. More dungeon decor, more maps, and a revamp of skills for ones Dungeon Lord of choice. It's like they took the sheer awesomeness of decor and skill/ability selection of the first game and flushed it down a Multi-Player sewer, thus robbing a sadistically funny single player/ custom game experience. Buyer beware, the first game Dungeons was much better. This game may just be a spiritual sucessor, and very much following the theme of creepy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In Dungeons you make a amusement park for heroes. They enter for free. Then they admire decorations and steal some loot or gold. When they try to leave you must club their heads and throw them in a prison. So you can collect resources to further upgrade your dungeon themed park. It's kind of a weird mix between Rollercoaster Tycoon and Dungeon Keeper. You are better off just playing those two.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →load of ♥♥♥♥! getting castrated would be more fun!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kalypso Launcher won't let you launch the game unless you create a Kalypso Account
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥♥♥♥ Kalypso Media Digitals launcher. I can play literally any other game just fine without making an account. I made one just for this launcher and it says wrong password. Put in the same info on their website, copy paste it into their launcher and it doesn't work. I can play literally every other dungeon game through that broken ass launcher just fine it never asks me once to log in or anything and I can actually play the game. ♥♥♥♥ Kalypso this game came out in 2011 plenty of time to fix…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is not letting me play without setting up a kalypso account
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Your product key is already in use. xD Can't run the game,,, Stupid launcher! Worst game I have never played!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you want to play a decent dungeons game go play dungeons 2 or 3, in this game objectives are very dragged on and boring. Graphics are purely ugly, and you get no sense of accomplishment playing it. Quarantine is more fun than this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would like to write positively. But the game is a small version of the first. - There are bugs and you need to balance. -Wants registration. -The game is short. In everything . -Same problems as part 3. -It repeats a lot , unnecessary things and everything is reduced. -Dead multiplayer or no one playing.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is getting a lot of clout just for being "Nothing like XXX" or dungeon crawlers. No, this isn't like XXX, it is nothing like XXX, it isn't named XXX, and it isn't even a Dungeon Crawler! Do people not read anymore? And those complaining about having to create an account and log into Kalypso's site - have you never purchased an Origin game? They do the same thing. As do many games - MOBAs, MMOs, and more. You have to log in before you can play their games. This extra step hurt…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game itself is not bad. Very similar to the old Dungeon Keeper series of games but a lot more complex. There is one major reason I can't recommend this game. The DRM. I don't want to have to sign into a Kalypso account and then be told my key is in use. Yes, it's in use, by me! Probably on one of my older computers years ago. Way to screw up a good thing Kalypso.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you love being zerg rushed while trying to figure out wtf you need to do and how to do it faster, this game is for you. You'd be happier playing mobile games than this thing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute garbage. Don't waste your money. It's not like Dungeon Keeper at all. It's boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My Opinion: This is hard to describe, but, in short, this is dungon keeper with all of the tedious elements enhanced, all of the fun elements removed, abnd with a load of bizzare mechanics about making the good guys happy so that you can be evil (it doesn't make any sense at all) My Advice: it's utter bilge, keep your money, I wish I could get mine back!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wont play, crashes on start up. Spent an hour and a half searching through forums and downloading "fixes" still doesnt work on my Windows 7 machine that "should" be able to run it no problam. I found several others with the same problam and no solid fixes. Complete waste of money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game because I thought it looked like Dungeon Keeper... and it does look kinda like that. it even works in a similar way... but this is not Dungeon Keeper! do not be fooled... if you want more Dungeon Keeper action this game will no satisfy you. Stay Away!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly the only steam game I regret buying and I own 99 games right now. I did not have on second of fun from this. Its just a terrible Dungeon Keeper clone. I wish I could permanently delete it from my steam library because I get sick everytime I see it.

This technically is THE SAME FREAKING REPETITIVE DUNGEON SIM called Dungeons. So I'll just paste the same review below: (with a few changes to fit into the narrative lol, read it at your own leisure) You're tasked with completing a bunch of missions all revolving around the Succubus Calypso, and her plans to overthrow The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A solid worldbuilder in which the primary goal is to upset NPC adventurers who stumble into your lair. As a mad scientist, I can definitely appreciate that, though the fact that the game spends a good half of its time spouting "AM I FUNNY YET?" jokes at you is kind of a downer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The expansion to this did not improve upon the flaws with the first installment.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Basically, a play on being a Dungeon Master from Dungeons & Dragons. Funny, fun, and recommended. This is really just the multiplayer version with a few tweaks. Still a sequel though. 9 / 12

unlabelledView post →While Dungeons: The Dark Lord continues the concepts of prestige and dungeon crafting from the first Dungeons, several changes were made to the campaign mode and game mechanics that I do not like at all and which ultimately led to my abandonment of the game. That said, having played this game most of the way through, I can now see how the further evolution of the game that occurred in dungeons 2 and 3 came about.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game crashes 50% of the time is tried to save and 75% of the auto saves do not work your team sits around doing nothing while they are getting attacks and killed

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So bought the game, keeps demanding i verify my email except they are not sending off the confirmation email after me clicking resnd like 20 times which make s the game UNPLAYABLE.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bugs, Issues. Just no.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So this dungeons DLC brings the story of the Lord of the Rings to the game, while I thought the humour wasn't so bad the game didn't however. The game suffers from the same bugs as the original game and if not alot worse especially with the game crashing at random points. The player eventually controls 3 masters at once however there isn't much in the ways of micromanagement aside from spamming the shortcut N key to switch between them. No function for selecting all of your masters and in as…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't really get all the negative reviews, this game is fun and unique. Its similar to the original and I like how the story flips over to feel fresh, the cliche humor and cheesy LotR parodies entertain you while you murder hoards of unsuspecting heroes in your "co-operative" quest to gain control of the dungeon. The campaign is definitely harder than the original, you get multiple heroes to control but they each need to be leveled up individually. A lot of things to think about. The way you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is not as horrable as most people claim it is it is not dungeon keeper instead its a dungeon "park" management game at lest that's what the main game mode is if you like this idea id recommend this game if your looking for dungeon keeper like game id check out dungeons 2 or 3

There are no issues creating an account. there are no issues playing the game. there are no issues with the gameplay (it is better in parts than the origional). bought this for a friend also, we play daily multiplayer and have all the achieves. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game came with an invalid cd key. it also says that this invalid cd key has 15 hours of playtime on it. because of this steam tries to say no refund for an unplayable game. make sure that you do a chargeback by you credit card company if this also happens to you. this is fraud and you are completely in your legal rights to do a chargeback if steam will not correct the issue. as for the game itself i have no idea it cant be played.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't even play it because they won't send me an activation email to set my account up. They force you to create an account before you can open the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It just keeps crashing randomly ... Pros: + I like the more specific effect of prestige items on heroes. + It was somehow entertaining as far as I played it. Cons: - VC redist installing everytime + launcher with login needed everytime + skipping all intros = way too many clicks to reach the game. - It randomly crashes to desktop. A lot. Like every 5 - 15 min. (This also happened to me with the basic game, but not as often). I found no fix until now (using Win8Pro - all my other SteamGames…
