FIRST OF ALL DON'T BUY THIS VERSION!!! I bought this version of the game thinking it was the same as Inferno Climber Reborn..... Nope its the old version of the game. This game has not been updated since 2016 and if you want the latest version you need to buy it on the Microsoft Store... Not on Steam... Not only does it cost less there, but it is also the version that will support newer GPUs, CPUs, Windows APIs... its basically the better product and it pains to see that Arc System has not…

Chibi Zelda-Souls is a very nice summary... You start off as a character with many "lives/classes" and if u die with one, you will pick another class/character, you have to ress the dead one with a ress scroll you buy for 60 coins, and the dead one will be unaviable until you ress them or break their graves, which destroys all their inventory including money, but their acuumaleted XP will remain. You will eventually after the tutorial get to a base which is sort of like a nexus or a hub, from…

Interesting little action-RPG! I like it. Be warned that it's a pretty simple game. Very indie. Don't go into it expecting Dark Souls. The obvious comparisons are to Dark Souls, of course, but it doesn't play too similarly to that. I'll try to give you an idea of how it plays by comparing it to other games. Unfortunately that's going to make it sound worse for the comparison, and to be honest, it doesn't really stand up to these other games, but for me, it is still very entertaining in its own…

This game just simply isn't polished enough for the asking price. - Unless you have an Xbox360 controller lock on won't work at all, making the entire game useless - This extends to even the Steam Controller - Isn't very well optimized, looks like an Xbox360 title but chugs - Menus refuse to work Going to have to refund this, it's sad really, seems like it could have a fun core game, but they haven't bothered fixing anything since launch, just walked away from it. Not good enough afriad.

This is not the "Reborn" version of this game, and unfortunately it is completely unplayable for modern PCs. I have a good PC that runs games like The Witcher 3 at 60fps, but this game was slingshotting from 100fps to single digits every couple of seconds. It's unfortunate, because I really do like the art style and it looks fun. EDIT: The Reborn version is on the Microsoft store and it works great. This game is actually so underrated, I do recommend checking it out. Dumb as heck that it still…

This game is like Animal Crossing, Mario Bros, Zelda, Monster Hunter and Dark Souls all were put in a blender and this is what came out. A extremely long and difficult story-light action rpg with large levels, difficult enemies and bosses and a detailed rpg system that was definitely heavily inspired by all the games mentioned above. In short if you love Dark Souls, Mario and Zelda and don't mind some monster hunter style hunger and equipment management mechanics buy this game, it's fantastic.…

Inferno Climber is a fun ARPG With Major Flaws (EA) My ratings/review Difficulty: 10/10 ~ My favorite thing in the game is the challenge, yes, this game is challenging, way more than it seems, it compares to dark souls in my book, also the death system is pretty unique, when you die you start off with another character lose all your stats and have to get back to your body with what they call a "Death Contract" Which can be bought for 60CP (in-game currency) Unlike dark souls (you keep all…

This game seems like a ton of fun, really i would've loved to get to play more than just a half an hour...but seriously though the motion sickness is real. I haven't had a game get me this bad in years...if you get sick from motion do stay away, but otherwise it seems like a very enjoyable title.

I forgot how much I hated my first hours with Dark/Demons souls. I'm still in the first non-tutorial area in this game after four hours, so I don't know if I'm the most qualified person to review this (having not seen much of the game proper) but thus far I give it a thumbs down. It's a SoulsLike game with a chibi artstyle - even has the thing where the first boss fight will wreck your everything. Think Zelda Souls, or perhaps Salt and Sanctuary 3D. It's got a fun, simple combat system - you…

Am I really one of the first people to write a review? Dayum. I only got to the first Base (not a spoiler, you can easily get there in some fifteen minutes if not less I think, I like to take my time so it took way longer), and so far, the game is quite good. The controls are decent, even though the character's movement is not as realistic in AAA games, some enemies are well-positioned (well done, skeleton from the second trial), only the inventory management and bow controls seem somehow…

Your only reward for completing this game is the right to say you have beaten it. There is no satisfaction from being skillful. There is no respect from your peers. There is nothing you will learn. Just turn around and walk away. Do not embark on the path that only leads to your own grave.

Pretty good game thus far. Would like to see what weapons will be available after EA. Really like that it works completely with my PS4 controller without any extra software. Just plug it in and it works for this. Music is decent. Combat seems fairly fluid. Graphics are ok. Only encounter minor frame rate drops when entering a completely different part of a zone, or teleporting into a zone, otherwise it seems pretty consistent. Hey, hi, how ya been? Been taking care of yourself? I'm fine. Inferno Climber. My least favorite favorite(not a typo) Souls-like. Inferno Climber is a game published and developed by Arc System Works. You know, the same Arc System Works that developed the incredibly polished series of Blazblue and Guilty Gear games? Pretty good so far. You'll probably find a lot of people talking about the positive ways in which this game reminds people of Dark Souls so I'll skip that part and say that the enemies are pretty cool looking, status ailments are used in kind of interesting ways (the revive item, a literal written contract, can be destroyed by fire so you will need to avoid enemies that cause Burn) and most of my problems at time of writing come from the fact that the Early Access doesn't have all of the…

Inferno Climber is a wild game. Yes, it looks like Dark Souls. If you're expecting combat of that depth, don't buy this. The real flavor here is in the wild survival sim mechanics that, by the end of the game, have you eating garlic chicken to boost your attack power and farming fruit from trees and eggs from your chickens to make that food, as well as an atmosphere that only becomes more and more oppressive as the game proceeds. It's cheap, it's unpolished, but it's really, really rewarding if…

Have to make enemy slip on banana peel, decide to throw banana, because of janky controls miss the stationary enemy and throw it behind him, walk towards the banana peel, hitbox of banana peel to large, char slips on banana peel droping oil bottle and fire bottle onto himself and dies. Basically sums up the game, controls and such aren't tight enough for this kind of game and cause to dislike the whole experience while I try to figure out the 10 button combo to drink an hp potion.

The Dreamcast font at the start got me really excited! The game had a good feel, like Quest64 -- nostalgia abound! However the controller support is terrible. Changing the camera angle felt floaty (it continued to move a little bit after letting go of the stick) making navigation a bit disorientating. You can't rebind controller actions other than what is your 'accept' button (x/o or a/b for ps or xbox schemes respectively). Menus for swapping items and weapons are extremely clunky with a…

Criminally underrated and no where near as well known as it should be. From the gorgeous (and in my opinion adorable) art style to the lovingly crafted environments, it's easy to tell this game has a lot of heart in it. INFERNO CLIMBER, developed and published by Arc System Works, is an action RPG that mixes deliberate, Souls-like combat with survival mechanics and dungeon exploration, resulting in a game that feels both ambitious and uneven. The camera controls gave me motion sickness, the menu system was difficult to control (and didn't pause the game - meaning I could still move my camera and character while navigating options), movement felt too slow, combat animations needed to finish before your character could rotate and attack elsewhere, etc etc. There were also just random bugs - one example: I got…

The game is super confusing as far as figuring out where to go. The combat is way watered down compared to Dark Souls or Zelda. It just isn't on the same level at all. This game wants to be dark souls so bad and fails at every attempt. What the hell are these awkward overly complicated controls? Good luck doing something as simple as using your inventory or picking up and item. They try and hide the mediocre graphics behind bloom and blur effects. Nice try, didn't work. It's not just a soulslike/zelda-clone but something with a lot of charm and yeah they did shoot for the moon and maybe try to shoehorn in a lot but it all still works together cohesively. It screams passion project and cult classic. I just hope more people pick it up and give it a try.

Definitely one of the worst souls-like games out there. Honestly, it might been be one of the worst action RPGs. The game is rife with technical problems, like frame drops and clipping through the floor. Even when the game is working properly, it does not respect your time at all. The extra steps added to respawn after every death are tedious and add nothing.

ultimately it was a waste of $2.99 dollars. It seems cool and if you think learning bad/clunky mechanics is fun, then this is for you. But if you would rather have a game with good mechanics and learn it better then you probably shouldn't play this. If you like Dark Souls it'll probably be worth it. There are definitely interesting sorts of little mechanics that are exciting and well done. Like you can light sticks in a campfire blah blah.
