60 of 136 · most liked firstDub Dash is a beautiful looking music rhythm game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUvpbd6Y80A The game plays quite similarly to The Impossible Game. Your wheel/character rolls in the middle lane until you press left or right. The wheel will then jump momentarily to another lane, and return back to the middle. If you hold the left or right button, then the wheel will keep bouncing from middle to the side, as opposed to just staying on the side lane. This makes for some pretty cool looking and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a fun game for a very short little while. -have to beat songs to unlock other songs (not inherently bad but for this game, its pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥) -Multiplayer sucks ass. I tried it with a cousin who used an Xbox controller. whoever screws up has to wait for the other to screw up just so they can keep playing -have to beat the \"Challenge\" mode for more lives. You basically play the same songs but with different obstacles. Basically relearning that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ song you just learned to do. -NO…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't tell that this game is the best or the worst rhythm game, it's pretty much average, what is already good, because you won't see very much rhythm games on Steam. +Pretty easy to L2P +Minimalistic but looks okay +Okay music +Cheap +Achievements -No cards :C All in all good value for money ratio ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short Version Dub Dash is a rhythm-based game that translates the "wobbly" beats of dubstep music into a giant, revolving disco ball and has the player dodging and weaving around obstacles by tapping left or right to "jump" or holding the key down to "bounce". Levels range from simple-but-tricky to complex, mind-bending challenges. The level comes to life as you time your keystrokes successfully, with equalizer-like structures popping up around you and rather euphoric-looking smiley faces…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BugZy's Review: Dub Dash Headup Games, the publisher of Dub Dash, has kindly given me a key for their game for promotional purposes. Any and all of the following opinions and experiences are mine, yours may differ. Rhythm-based games are my jam. Pun intended. I love games where you play to the beat (like Audiosurf and Guitar Hero) and Dub Dash is a great example of them, with its fast-paced levels and the ability to make you feel terrible for failing but constantly wanting to try “just one…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cons: -has weird texture/graphical glitch (big white square that appears whenever text instructions pop up) -cannot play your own music -super flashy acid-trip visualizations may cause epileptic seizures Pros: -super flashy acid-trip visualizations may cause epileptic seizures -graphics are fine-tuned to match with the music beat very, very well -very good selection of intense electronic music -numerous game modes supplemented by challenging difficulty -supports local multiplayer…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was clearly a microtransaction game on a touchpad device at one point. The controls are very simplistic and it's essential a "hit the button at the right time" game like guitar hero or the like. It does get rather difficult, at which point you will need to use "continues" to make it through levels unless you can play them flawlessly. Without the microtransactions in the game anymore however, the only way to get, "continues," is to play the easier levels 500 times flawlessly to stock up…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are lots of great parts about this game. The graphics are entrancing and look great, and there are a heck of a lot of gamemodes. However, I still can't like this game. Some of the notes are placed so they're seemingly impossible to get (or at least ridiculously hard) in a couple of the early levels. In addition, a lot of the levels have irritating or boring gameplay, notably Sound Ward, where there are a couple segments which are the same thing for a really long time. I stopped at Milky…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftJhPCH7v-U Dub Dash is a music and rhythm based game where you must progress through the games levels as each level grows even harder than the last providing you with a great challenge. Dub Dash is very similar to another game I played called Spectra which I had a lot of fun playing. Wub wub... Due to a 40% release discount the game will be available for just $2.99 (€2,99/£2.39) for the first week, afterwards the regular price will be $4.99 (€4,99/£3.99).…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Drop the balls type of game, whatever that means.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Basically "geometry dash at home". The game looks like an abandoned tech demo somewhere from 2009. There's no user-made levels, so after you complete the game there's nothing to do, except "The Challenge", which is randomly generated so music sync is non-existent. Also, Proton does it's job well with this game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All hours I have in this game were because I use this as my go to drinking game. :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WOW! This game has some wonderful qualities to it. The camera is warped in a strange way that forces the eye to focus purely on the action, and it makes me feel in a trance. The levels feel perfectly in tune with the rocking soundtrack, and its just plain fun! To top it off, the developers are bros. I came to the store page looking for music DLC to buy, and I was kinda pissed when it wasn't there. That was until I looked in my install directory and realized the devs left the music files there…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The mechanics aren't bad or anything, but this is lacking in anti-frustration features even for a rhythm game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like Geometry Dash, but it's in 3D and it's not fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stay away! Save your $5.00. Anyone expecting this to be similar to Geometry Dash is going to be sorely disappointed. Sure the game looks pretty, but thats where the nicities end. First off, there are checkpoints in main gameplay. Make it a challenge, just make checkpoints in practice mode... Second, this game has a lives system. A lives system! You get 5 lives and then you have to beat a challenge to get more. This isn't a Facebook game, don't give me limited attempts to do something. Third,…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, i got a Steam Key from Incodra and i must say: BUY THIS PIECE OF HOLY MOLY GAME! The Devs are really going into it and i can't wait for Updates which make the game even better :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game really is the next type of GD game. Amazing!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You start the first tutorial level- you play it- you die a few time and lose your lives. Oh well you say, thats fine- I'll start over and try again with more lives; NOPE. The game doesn't replenish your lives, even upon restarting from the start of a song again. You know what it does? It forces you to play a "challenge mode" on the menu to "earn more lives" But what is the challenge mode you may ask? a "randomly" generated level that you have to BEAT to get more lives. Guess which is…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love a good rhythm game, but this one is just alright. The top down portions of the level seem to play well enough and the music you can get into a good rhythm with. The only thing I think doesn't fit at all in this game are the flappy bird style levels where you just have to avoid obstacles by randomly tapping the fly button. I've yet to feel any sort of rhythm to any of those sections of the game. Its really just playing flappy bird while flashing colors and music play in the background.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bring this game back, I'm begging you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is actually and overpriced, poorly made version of Geometry Dash. Instead of buying this, just buy Geometry Dash, its cheaper and provides more to do than this version of google's dinosaur runner. On top of that after a while it stopped working and was opening randomly to slow down my computer.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pro: It's way cheaper than LSD Con: This game is so trippy, I literally puked all over my keyboard. Couldn't stand it for more than 30 Minutes.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Grade "A" turd game. Just click left or right on mouse to avoid outcroppings of the walls. The controls are terrible and super finnicky. Sometimes I would release mouse button and it would count it as one more jump. Checkpoint system is done terrible. Suddenly there is none for like a min straight of having to dodge 7 different parts of 5 blocks in a row, forcing you to redo it all. Only get a few lives and must use challenges apparently to get more. Boring, repetitive, poorly designed game.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You control the game with your keyboard and the menus with the mouse. If you're new to a stage, you'll die pretty often which makes you switch between keyboard and mouse every 10 seconds just so you can restart at the last checkpoint. This sounds like a minor flaw, but after a few minutes it gets pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying. Furthormore, the game doesn't hide the cursor while playing. Sometimes you have to do a little flying minigame which is incredibly hard to control. First of all, the game only…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In a world of massive dance failure where everyone is a slave to the rhythm One hero will roll above it all to beat the beat up. Keeping it real: Crashed twice in first 10 minutes but there is a fix in disscussion section.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just a pretty bad game to be honest. Made for mobile. Not really a rhythm game so much as a memorization game. How fun lets memorize this arbitrary level! Great music and visuals though.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I received this key for reviewing purposes, but this will not affect my review in any way. My Impression: I love puzzle games. I am terrible at music related activities because I really don't listen to much music, only when I workout. I went in with an open mind and was like, I'll give this a shot and go back to Xcom 2 after I try it out. The game is incredible, I can't stop playing. This would be a great game to warm up your reflexes for your main games. Positive: + Very addicting + Love…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/hwihFcMs29k Incredibly simplistic controls with a punishing life/continue system results in repeating many early parts of songs over and over which is not an idea way to play a rhythm game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoy challenging games, but this particular game is more annoying than challenging. The first few levels are fun and provide a good challenge. In this game, you control a wheel and must avoid the blocks in the middle of the road by pressing left or right. Each song introduces a new game mechanic, making the game progressively more challenging. You can practice a song as many times as you want, although the practice mode is not immediately apparent. To access it, you need to pause the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dub Dash is a crazy and colourful looking music rhythm game. The concept is simple, but fun. Dash to the left and right in order to avoid hitting obstacles and dying. The music is pretty sick, and the colourful world causes epileptic seizures. Some of the levels are absolutely insane. You will definitely spend a lot of time on each map. The first ones are easy and serve as a tutorial, but the difficulty will quickly rise. The price (5€) is totally adequate. The game is definitely worth the…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't figure out how to fix the issue but this game runs at about 1-2 fps for me. This has happened before with another game due to geforce being enabled but I can't figure out how to run this game. Poor optimization if you ask me.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Horrible unoptimized mess. I played this a year ago and decided to pick it up again today. The game is so laggy that it is unplayable. My PC is high-end enough to run most triple-A games at max settings and a consistent framerate of 60fps, so that is absolutely inexcusable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok, wanted to vote Neutral , I enjoy the idea behind the game and did enjoy the first level. the second was great up till the end trying to get the musical note and dying.. 9 times.. and thats where it ends.. I quickly learned that to get more lives I had to play the challenge mode.. so instead of building you up in difficulty you are forced to play an easy level.. a slightly harder one to a stupidly difficult in order to get more lives.. I do like the game and the premise.. there are other…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is nice looking, and the music isn't too bad. However, the beat detection is a tad off, making for a slightly jarring experience. This combined with the life/continue mechanics and the constant switching between mouse/controller or kb/mouse just killed it for me. Fix the wonky life/continue and add controller support to the menus and I could give this a thumbs up, until then, nope.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Frustrating "game", the deal that you have to play the challenges to get more lives, that's idiotic, just give me 9 lives, it I fail, let me restart, from the beginning, of course then with 9 new lives, not like it is right now, use your 9 lives, then play for the rest or your life, whatever level toy get to, with 1 life, fix this and I'll play the game again, stick to your developer guns, and I have spent $5 on something I'll never play again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →graphics are nice, that's about it

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This ran so poorly as to be unplayable for me- sometimes dropping below 20FPS on a GTX 1080 powered on a 9900K. This is your standard lazy mobile port, unfortunately. No optimizations, or even more than basic options, no controller support, not even audio options- all of these essential for a good rhythm game. That really ticks me off, too, because this very much looks like it could have been something cool if it ran smoothly. It's very colorful, very eye-grabbing, if it ran at more than a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game reminds me a lot of Geometry Dash, but it stands out quite a bit from it. The visuals in this game are incredibly bright and colorful but can be a bit much at times. I would like to say though that I wish there was more to it, much like Geometry Dash it is very simple but the difficulty in progressing levels I feel should be less then what they are. I have enjoyed playing Dub dash all in all.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WAAAAAAYYYY over priced
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lame trial and error. I wouldn´t even call it a game. Maybe a free flash-webbrowser game which keeps you interested for 5 minutes...if you don´t have an OCD.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game gives out headaches
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun and decently challenging game, definitely recommended. The only, very minor, issue is the achievements for doing 10,000 attempts, 50,000 attempts and 250,000 beats because there's no way you'd do that many after beating all the levels. So it just requires a lot of tedious grinding. Obviously, they're optional so I didn't bother.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game runs at 15 FPS no matter what settings I run it on. This is a mobile phone game and I run most games on medium to high settings. Piss poor optimization that makes it literally impossible for me to play. If I can fix the game I will update the review.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a true spiritual successor to Geometry Dash, and it gets everything right. The beautiful 3D graphics and the rad soundtrack are enough to convince me to buy it. It offers just as much, if not more challenge than Geometry Dash did. The one thing I don't like is the small amount of levels, which I'm sure will soon be remedied by updates later. The thing that is the lowest point of this game is you can't progress to the next level until you've beaten the previous one, and as of right now…
