unlabelledView post →Still recovering and home alone tonight so I'm watching a TIME CAPSUL of a movie (that I legit love) and I may make the theme tonight "Women fighting to clear their name" with "Double Jeopardy" after this.
unlabelledView post →They actually made a serious movie ago about Double Jeopardy in which a woman was framed for killing her husband, but he was actually alive and faked his death, so the idea is "well, you can't be charged with killing him again, so revenge is a freebie!" That's so not how that works.

It has NOTHING TO DO WITH Double Jeopardy at all. It is NOT a remake of the earlier film. That's why the screenplay is different.
unlabelledView post →Just remember, if they try to exile you again that there are rules about Double Jeopardy and you can take them to court! I've seen the movie, it's definitely a real thing!
unlabelledView post →I think I learned from that movie Double Jeopardy about how once he is freed, he can just go around blasting CEOs for free. Hell yeah

unlabelledView post →I mean, it’s hard to compete with the movie Double Jeopardy, the very premise of which is a complete misunderstanding of DJ. As someone who litigated a DJ issue for years the very existence of that movie enrages me.

unlabelledView post →JW: Double Jeopardy I know it's never going to make the Sight and Sound 100 list, but I bloody love this movie. An absolutely cracking thriller of a kind that Hollywood just doesn't make anymore. This is the genre that the streamers should be targeting.
unlabelledView post →hot take: nothing has derailed the public's understanding of our legal system quite like the Ashley Judd's 1999 movie, "Double Jeopardy"
unlabelledView post →Omg omg omg I just woke up and I’m watching a YouTuber react to Double Jeopardy while I eat breakfast and she has no idea what the movie is about and I. Am. Invested.
unlabelledView post →I do want to point out that unlike the movie Double Jeopardy, if Willow were to actually try to kill Drew again, she could be charged for that as it is not the "same" crime. #GH

unlabelledView post →For day 180 of my year long retrospective on made for TV movies that need a DVD/Blu Ray release, I went with another Joe Penny film, Double Jeopardy (1996), which stars Brittany Murphy as a young woman having an affair with a married cop. When he finds out she's pregnant, things turn deadly

unlabelledView post →Had the realization recently that part of why my husband and I can never find something to watch is he doesn’t appreciate a fun and frivolous movie, which is my bread and butter. This realization brought to you by “ooooh we should watch Double Jeopardy”

unlabelledView post →Double Jeopardy is such a good movie. Ashley Judd used to be that girl in everything.
unlabelledView post →Double Jeopardy was my first experience with this & I never forgot it. First movie I watched where the heroine systematically planned a cold blooded revenge murder with zero remorse & does it legally. I've seen better examples since but this one always stuck with me.
unlabelledView post →My WIP has a scene similar to the cemetery scene in the movie Double Jeopardy, so I’m going to a cemetery “club” this week with friends for “research”. If you don’t see a post from me by Monday assume I’m stuck in a mausoleum someplace. 👻🏛️⚰️ #writingcommunity

unlabelledView post →My favorite revenge movie is "Double Jeopardy" with Ashley Judd. He underestimated me. He thought my vulnerability and niceness were weaknesses. But what he did gave me strength just like yours. They aren't men; just man babies who enjoy harming others. We deserve better.

unlabelledView post →That’s a great 80s movie! I subjected my 22 yo daughter to suspense films from the 80s and 90s and one was Double Jeopardy (really, anything with Tommy Lee Jones or Gene Hackman), also The Net, with Sandra Bullock. (One of Carl Reiner’s favorite movies.)
unlabelledView post →1990s thrillers have become a real comfort blanket these past few months. I love that you're in and out in 2 hours, where Netflix would stretch the story out across 10 dreary episodes. This week's fare: Double Jeopardy. Ashley Judd is jailed for 'killing' her husband. His name? Nicholas Parsons.
unlabelledView post →Does anyone else create unofficial trilogies in their head canon? For me, TWILIGHT is Newman's third Harper movie, and DOUBLE JEOPARDY is a third TLJ Sam Gerard movie.

unlabelledView post →In the movie Double Jeopardy the fact that they say a second, distinct murder of the not actually dead husband is covered by double jeopardy it's not... it is a new crime
unlabelledView post →Oh my god yessssss so good Did you follow up with U.S. Marshals? Tommy Lee plays the same role, he has the same team, and Wesley Snipes is the fugitive. (ALSO I consider the movie Double Jeopardy with Ashley Judd and Tommy Lee as an honorary fugitive movie, if you're interested)
