14 of 14 · most liked first>The news comes despite the fact that Disney announced a Season 2 renewal for the show back in March, roughly two months after it debuted. I hate this new trend of renewed means maybe. I hope the characters appear again elsewhere, but even then the style of the show was something new. The Doorman episode alone makes the series worth watching. (And if you haven't watched it, and don't want to, go watch that episode. It's mostly standalone.)

unlabelledView post →Watching a random action movie starring Ruby Rose called The Doorman, and I'm sort of weirded that it seems like her love interest is a guy. On a related note, her action scene acting is way more plausible than her 'I'm definitely attracted to this basic cis man' acting. 😆
unlabelledView post →In fairness, you could say the same about Curious George: The Man With The Yellow Hat is never referred to as “Ted”, his love interest Maggie is flatout absent without so much as a mention, and The Doorman in the TV show isn’t the same guy as Ivan from the movie.

Not sure it was necessary to use a whole ep for the Doorman. But there were some very poignant and funny moments to love. Also makes me wonder - have I ever had chamoy before?

unlabelledView post →Okay suspense-thriller, has elements of Die Hard. Not the best material but I guess some interesting direction and the stunts were passable. Even though she's not the strongest actress, I generally like Ruby Rose and she's fine in the lead as is Jean Reno reminding us he's alive and well (can't remember the last movie I saw him in). As direct-to-video movies go, I thought it was entertaining enough. 3.0/5
