34 of 34 · most liked firstI did not get very far but twice had my inventory erased, hence it was not worth devoting any more time and effort grinding further along. Refunded, as I don't like paying to be a unsuspecting playtester, but may come back in the future.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game looked pretty promising so I decided to give it a try. It's like Stardew Valley where you fight monsters, very good idea on paper but the reality is disappointing. I can get behind the small map and general lack of customization and things to do if you don't intend on spending tens of hours in this game. However, what really ground my gears where the numerous bugs. For example, the inventory constantly keeps on getting stuck so you can't move your items. Either you have to wait…

The Bad (In ascending Severity): The text Speed is way too slow with no Option of speeding up. You are also forced to wait for like 2 seconds after every pop up. The Tutorial is also awful. It overexplains simple things like how to chop down a tree, but not things like how to access the Skill menu (It's in the Ideas Menu (Click U and then the green Arrow)) or the fact…

At this point I quit the game and uninstalled."" i ran into the same bug and it wiped 7 days and about an hour and half worth of progress. uninstalled and moved on to my next game. i was enjoying it up to that point.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not good if you play with a controller. Not compatible with steam deck and the dev seems rather uninterested in dealing with controller and steam deck issues at this time (could change in the future). Unfortunately, this means that for people who can't reasonably play on a m+kb or want to play on the steam deck, this game just is not that great. Even without those, there are many issues (including bugs and wonkiness) and it isn't clear if the dev is working on those issues or not.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the game is functional, it isn't *fun* The combat, crafting and level-up aspects are all bare bones leading to a very slow & repetitive gameplay loop that doesn't feel rewarding. I did also encounter a few bugs, one of which had a "hardcore" character die on the first login screen.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Way too many bugs for this to be enjoyable. I had the house shrink and items inside disappear. The first boss got stuck in place and didn't die when his HP went down to 0. Items got plastered on my avatar and floated behind instead of going to the inventory.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hit boxes are crap! don't buy unless they fix it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Game is fun to play and addictive but some of the concepts and art feel cheated from other games such as forager. I also do not really recommend getting the game at this time because of the annoying bugs that delay or delete progress from the game. I do tho recommend buying it later or putting on your list as it is still a fun game to play or play now while at risk of bugs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doomed Lands is a top-down pixel art survival game where the player is transported to a post-apocalyptic environment where the world is dominated by horrible and mutant creatures. The goal of the game is to survive as long as possible while facing these threats, collecting resources, and fighting for your life. One of the highlights of Doomed Lands is its atmosphere. The pixel art graphics, with a dark and somber color scheme, add a sense of despair and constant danger. The soundtrack also…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a very simple game loop, which can sometimes be good, but this is just not. It feels very tedious, stressful and annoying. Everything feels rather unintuitive. The basic concept of the game sounds neat, but I found it far too frustrating to even try and advance.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it looked like fun but there was a lot of lag
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game! Even for a noob like me, the game is super smooth to play but also makes you use your head! LoL If you want something to spend hours without realizing, this is a great option!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ultimately, I somehow enjoyed Doomed Lands, but I simply cannot recommend it because it is a buggy mess, even though it is possible to beat the game and unlock every achievement. The inventory and storage system is the most tedious part I have ever dealt with. It is completely broken and forces you to press buttons (on controller) in a very specific, illogical order. If you do not follow that exact sequence, you will not be able to move items or the cursor between storage chests and inventory.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doomed plays | KAMGUSTA's MINI REVIEW A survival rogue like where you have to survive a mobile game design with poor gameplay and plenty of bugs. Crafting, building and fighting are so bare bones I died of hunger. I managed to get to the third day, then an ambush by aliens, skeletons and a snake made me ragequit - saving me from playing this game again ever. "Best played" with joypad Recommended buy price: 1$ Score: 5/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →controls dont work as labeled , the concept to that of a 1dollar cell phone game . hasnt been an update since
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very basic game with even the simplest things not fixed. Not worth even 1/4 of its price. A decent game dev can make this in an hour or less.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had hoped for a zelda-ish combat or a twin stick shooter type deal. Thats what I get for just looking at screenshots. Enemies can attack from every direction. You can only attack with swords from 6 pixels out in a straight line 3 pixels tall, only to your left or right. And enemies love to stand in the 6 pixel safe zone of right on top of your character because of the chase ai. It can be fixed simply by increasing the attack range of enemies and then having them stop and attack when the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A meta do jogo é invocar um demonhão. Não tem como dar errado.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried to like this one. I wish I can give Doomed Lands a "mixed" rating. However, the clunky inventory system and rage inducing bugs ruined the overall experience. Combat was very basic, but passable. The base building and crafting are way too laborious. And I ran into a bug where the chest would not allow the use of one slot in it. Thumbs down - reluctantly.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh my lord--after 7.1 hours and almost tearing my hair out I finally 100%ed this game. Now, before I get into the reasons, do I recommend this game? Yes, however not for the full price. I got it during the Spring sale when it was 85% off, only costing $1.79. Now, why is it not worth the full price? It is very janky. I had a lot of fun--it feels like a combination of Forager and Stardew Valley--it has several bugs that can hurt its enjoyability. Also, the hit boxes are a bit wonky, These bugs…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doomed Lands is a open world survival game where you build a base and collect material to survive an army of demons that emerge from the darkness in the woods. Every week a Demon lieutenant sends an army of minions as you craft weapons to defeat them. Graphics- Pretty good Soundtrack- Pretty good Audience- Teenagers and Adults Difficulty- Alright difficulty, but by your self it can become a bit challenging Story- descent story Game time- good length Price- Its a bit pricey, but on sale it's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doomed Land more like Fun Land but seriously I want more of this game and will commit numerous crime to have so
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Needs improvement
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible. Awful controller support. Awful keyboard controls. Almost no way to deal with mobs in early game. Incredibly grindy. Slow, unskippable tutorial pop-ups (this was my least favorite part of all). Just an aggravating mess of a thing. *edit: I gave it another go, and changed my mind (somewhat). I gave up on the controller entirely and the game became about 100x better. Still not great. That tutorial, and the inability to keep away from mobs in the beginning are still huge detriments.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Devs teased Steam Deck accessibility. No updates since release. Took my money and disappeared.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buggy mess. You can have your controls completely blocked off, bosses will have unlimited health (even though they have no more health), just unplayable. When it wants to work, the game is not too bad but you can lose progress if you get locked up at the wrong time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Greatest enemy in this game is bad UI.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Isn't working at all!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had my eye on this game for awhile and finally bought it, should’ve waited. I love the art style and see what the devs are going for but it needs some serious updates as the game feels JANK. The hit boxes on resources and enemies are awful, menus are infuriating to navigate (using a controller) to do simple tasks like crafting, building work areas, managing your inventory. Also experienced the same glitch other reviewers mentioned where progress was lost after the first boss fight when items…
