You can choose to play as either Corvo Attano, the protagonist from the first game, or Emily Kaldwin, his daughter, each with their own unique abilities. The game is set in a beautifully designed world that feels alive and reactive to your choices. Key Highlights Dual Protagonists: Players can choose between Corvo and Emily, each offering distinct powers and playstyles. This…

unlabelledView post →Dear Nostalgists, Please stop saying that this game is in any way worse than its predecessor or that there is no reason for it to exist. Dishonored 2 improves upon the entirety of the gameplay in every way imaginable. The level design, the fact that there are two playable characters with their own complete sets of skills — the level design, have I mentioned the level design yet, etc. Something the game also does extremely well is that it mainly builds off Dishonored’s DLCs, but still…

unlabelledView post →Broken build.. game won't start if you have AMD + Nvidia combo, only fix is to perma disable anything AMD on the system... Been an issue for 2-3 years now, devs won't fix it. To bypass the problem, the simplest way is to get a dll stub for amd_ags_x64.dll (https://github.com/SCell555/amd-ags-stub/releases). This dll is responsible for finding the GPU, querying for display info and enabling some graphics features. But this crashes on modern GPUs/drivers. The fake .dll pretends everything is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Dishonored saga has always been in my view one of the peaks of gaming, for it being very classic in its mission structure but with a gameplay nothing short of stellar and both a very unique lore and art style. Sincerely, they really should make a series out of it: I won't spoil anything about the story, but the steampunk setting and its interesting characters really leave you with the desire to know more about it. For the 3 people who still don't know, the Dishonored saga works on a chaos…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After multiple playthroughs, I still think Dishonored 2 is one of the best immersive sims ever made. It gives you an incredible amount of freedom without ever feeling overwhelming. Every level is designed like a giant puzzle box, with countless ways to reach your objective depending on how you want to play. You can ghost through without being seen, eliminate every guard in sight, or mix stealth, powers, and gadgets however you like. The level design deserves all the praise it gets. Missions…

I bought this game after seeing the gameplay, the new story with two playable protagonists and ofc new powers and weapons. But after buying and instaling the game the game cannot launch. This game has a problem where if you have a modern pc with an AMD and an Nvidia grafics card combined the game will not launch and you cant play the game. unlabelledView post →When I tried Dishonored 2 I questioned whether or not I still liked stealth games. Going back to Thief, I definitely do. A lot. And TDP isn't even one of my favorites. It just seems like nearly every attempt at a full-on stealth game (few as there are) has been kinda shit once 7th gen rolled around.

unlabelledView post →Extremely fun super stylish FPS game. Played this originally on console when it first came out. Double dipped when I saw the $30 Steam deal. After all these years still holds up. Mechanics, story, combat, stealth, art style. All a 10/10 for me (well, story maybe not a full 10, but). Bonus tip: Turn off all the markers in the game to make it even more immersive. Too many games have too many 'follow this point'. Really changes the game imo. :)

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you have any type of AMD hardware, you will need to update files from github because an outdated dll file will not allow the game to launch. On top of that the games borderless / windowed mode are not coded correctly and won't allow proper tabbing out of the game. If you tab out via steam overlay the game will become incredibly slow and require a relaunch. Play this anywhere but PC.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR- Dishonored 2 is a fun game and an acceptable sequel. However it is derivative of the first and has a weak narrative that undermines the game significantly. The Cons- Dishonored 2 plays it too safe narratively. It’s a derivative remix of the original’s and lacks any of the plot twists that made the original’s so good. There is nothing new here. Once again you play the betrayed rouge assassin that must overthrow your betrayers and retake the empire. However this time all of your enemies…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an excellent game, well worth your time, with some of the best level design in gaming history. But I can't recommend it at the moment in all good consciousness, as it no longer launches. There are temporary fixes, but they need to be applied every time you launch the game. To that end, I am leaving a negative review until Bethesda pull their finger out and let Arkane fix it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got it on sale. Feel like it delivered past my expectations, not to mention the absolute steal. I recall the level design being somewhat better in Dishonored 1, but I also like the QoL improvements. A worthy sequel and one of the best stealth games ever made, by far. Looks great, runs great.

The world reacting slowly to your chaos (how you play the game) in game is a really nice touch. ‣ Encourages exploring. Sometimes second objectives, loot or safe codes appear if you explore sections of the map. (this is sometimes I've had levels where i spend more than 1 or even 2 hours) ‣ Same as…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall, one of those extremely rare cases where a sequel succeeds in being bigger and better; containing more varied and detailed levels without sacrificing any of the freedom the original offered. Strongly recommend you play the original first if you're thinking of picking this up. The content offering is fantastic and there’s a lot of depth to your decisions, was surprised you could change the past. Need to try playing as Corvo and using his abilities.
unlabelledView post →Dishonored 2 is easily one of the best stealth-assassin games ever made. Even years after its release, it never feels old. What amazes me most is the sheer amount of freedom the game gives you. Every mission feels like a giant sandbox where there are countless ways to achieve your objective. Whether you want to sneak through shadows without being seen, eliminate targets silently, or go on a full rampage, the choice is always yours. At first, my ADHD kicks in and I spend way too much time…

unlabelledView post →Dishonored 2 is in every way better than the first game, a great improvement across the board. The choice of playing two characters is great, even though it doesn't make much sense to pick Corvo, since the storyline was clearly designed with Emily being the obvious choice and you tend to repeat the first game pretty much, should you pick him. The story is a bit flawed in my opinion, with the focus being the main antagonist, which was in the first game's DLC. I had a feeling that story was…
