It's always nice to discover a new dinosaur game. Tbh for me any game with a dinodex is automatically an S tier game. What is this some sort of Jurassictale?! The game is amazing. As a fan of the Dino Hazard franchise, Jurassic Park, and connoisseur of content related to dinosaurs, I loved it. The story is captivating, filled with elements of…

unlabelledView post →Edit 1 is my official review of the game as a complete product Edit 1: The game breaking bugs are gone in chapter 2 and I have finished the current early access build of the game (chapters 1,2 and 3). Firstly the gameplay is solid, OST is amazing and the art is killer. It's just a shame there isn't more of it right now however more is coming down the line so we'll just have to wait and see. The thing that keeps ticking at the back of my mind while playing was "man it would be cool to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →How does this have mostly good reviews? It has potential but half my play time/progress has been lost due to constant crashing. This game crashes way to much for a full release. Also from what I've played so far it's mostly just a confusing dark maze. You can't hack the laser fence until you get a hacker. Once you get a hacker you can't hack the next laser fence until you get a cyberhelmet? Some quest get markers others don't. Nothing has any rhyme or reason yet but maybe that changes as you…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dino Hazard: Chronos Blackout is an unusually ambitious retro-inspired RPG that blends dinosaurs, advanced technology, artificial intelligence, survival themes, and classic turn-based adventuring into one distinctive package. Developed and published by Bone Collectors, it takes clear inspiration from traditional JRPGs while building its identity around a futuristic disaster on Chronos Island. A catastrophic blackout has disrupted the island’s sophisticated infrastructure, dangerous prehistoric…

unlabelledView post →Wow. For those who grew up during the SNES era or are a dino-nerd or like turn-based games: This game is molded for you. Think of the story of the Dino Crisis series (believe me when I say you will find similarities in the story) but with a bit more of a futuristic application to it, mixed with gameplay similar to EarthBound on SNES, mixed with nostalgia of Jurassic Park on SNES, BUT the historical accuracy of the dinosaurs (and other era-related creatures) are spot-on (the developers work…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This review was made after completing the Beta. Even at this stage Dino Hazard shows a lot of potential. The games setting and story are so far very interesting and while not 100% original, the more derivative elements are used in the best possible way rather then as a crutch. Do not be turned off by the games retro aesthetic, it's very fun and runs smoothly. In fact it I rate it far more highly then maybe 99% of the Dinosaur games on steam. This is a retro style rpg, you have the ability to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to like this game but the story is not well developed and is non-immersive. The combat system is also clunky and non-intuitive.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately I can't currently recommend this. Originally purchased early access a while ago, I found it interesting and waited till a couple of updates after it reached version 1.0. Seem to still be a lot of bugs which hinder any joy to be had. Randomly unable to open inventory(on either keyboard or gamepad), during battle available items wouldn't show, just to name a few. Balance seems questionable, as one early part there is a dino in the way to getting your first teammate, but it would…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dino Hazard: Chronos Blackout has a story that is cliche' and is poorly done. There are a lot of glitches, one being you lose the light of your flashlight after leaving the command center and can't turn it back on. Not fun having to go through a confusing black maze trying to complete your objective. You have to have a hacker to hack the laser fence. So you think you're good to go hack the rest of the laser fences? Think again! Then you have to have a cyber helmet to hack the next laser fence.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GREAT game!! Engaging story and lots of different mechanics to explore. Very worthwhile, I highly recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am thoroughly enjoying this early access game, and know that the game is in active development and thus is not finished, and could have some bugs, which had caused me to be unable to progress further a while back, although I had started a new game since then, I have not yet come across the same bug. I do really like this game. It is fun and I'm enjoying it immensely.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As of the date of this review, Parts 1-3 have been completed, and I have thoroughly enjoyed all of them. The short version of what I’m about to say is that this is a hidden gem, and if you’re on the fence about giving this a try, you will not be disappointed. Here is exactly why: The devs at Bone Collectors have taken so many of the things that lovers of RPGs and choice driven games enjoy so much and have blended them into something that has nothing but potential to surpass the phrase…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn't really know what to expect. As a real-life palaeontologist, it's definitely up my alley in terms of the theme. I never played Undertail, but have to admit the gameplay is not, for me personally, the style I'd usually enjoy. I find combat opportunities - and thus the opportunity to level grind and gain stats - frustratingly sparse. That's more to do with MY preferences than anything wrong with the game, however. I suppose I'd expected a little more action-oriented combat on the world…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game surprised me with its depth. When I bought it, I thought it was just an ordinary retro rpg, but the narrative has many layers to explore. There are some bugs, but the community is very active and the developers interact and are available to solve bugs quickly. I recommend the experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great unique game with an active dev... will likely review it further when I finish, but I'm really enjoying it after 11 hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my first steam review ever. I felt it necessary to recommend this game to everybody because it is just AMAZING!!! I loved all of it: the variety of the characters, the ambience, the mind-blowing music, the cyberpunk atmosphere, the wonderful creatures and droids, and the tonne of references to movies and videogames. Paleonthology is one of my greatest passions, so I appreciated so much the attention that the developers put in creature design. If you love good, classic sci-fi and old…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm loving the game so far. The pixel art is beautiful and the soundtrack is EXTRAORDINARY!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i love this game, as it hits alot of my fave buttons. puzzles, survival, dinos
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tried to play the game and suffered crashes from launch to 2024. Hard to like when there are crashes. Maybe it will get less buggy. Still unplayable as of June 2025.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gorgeous prehistoric animal designs ! It's good to see proper paleoart in a game that isn't a walking simulator for once. The dog was kind of annoying, but thankfully not for long ;^)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hey there kids! Tried of waiting for Capcom to release the DINO CRISIS REMAKE! I have some good news...We have Dino Hazard. 10 out of 10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At the moment, this game could be considered an uncut gem; pretty rough around the edges, but with potential to become something really remarkable. Bugs and glitches do pop up, but the developers are very active and work quickly to resolve them. If you like dinosaurs, survival-horror, and don't mind the early-access process, then I'd recommend this game for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Twice in a matter of 30 minutes playing, this game just stopped responding. Both times after a fight, like it should give the score and XP, just sits there, playing music, with no amount of clicking to make it progress. The second time it stopped there, it suddenly continued. Then, go back into the building and now everything is black. I can still open menus, do stuff there and I am apparently still walking around as the rooms on the map transition. But, still a black screen. Supposed to go…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has a great nostalgic feel, combined with a fun story. It is clearly a work of love for the developer and I can't wait to see what is planned next.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really neat concept, and if you still have the attention span for something like old school Phantasy Star this is a recommend. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to grasp the mechanics behind combat after a couple hours, and enabling auto-combat to observe mechanics wasn't enough to pick it up. The plot was pretty cool, but this ended up being something I couldn't finish.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I posted an issue I saw in the game and the Dev fixed it the next day. Great Dev and a very well made game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game plays like any other jrpg but i feel its plays more like phantasy star 4 and the rest saga routine
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its very buggy, and not fun at all, GG
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bug Report: I can't save pass the first boss fight with the Smilodons. My shed menu constantly clicks almost and it's just a black screen. Otherwise the game is pretty fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/FHXP5UykpVM Tossing a few too many elements into the thematic blender results in a mix that doesn't land a strong core identity.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love it. 🦕 🦕 🦕 🦕
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- So fun to play, rating 91/100
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is fantastic. I have to cop to the currently un-earned achievement on my profile, I DIED for like the third time very very early in the game and upon the reload it magically gave me the achievement for rescue of all survivors lol. I'll try to earn it, but I absolutely haven't yet. this is like a combination of so many things, it's so complex. I love me a well designed indie
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If this had more polish it would be one of the best console RPGs of 1993.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Dino Hazard" has some really nice vibes that make it worth a try, and some issues that slightly reduce the gameplay experience & fun. + nice retro graphics that do the job fine + a great setting which combines scifi with that jurassic atmosphere you know from certain movies + as it seems: A big range of abilities and possibilities to handle the danger, like feeding dinosaurs to make them friends - unfortunately these abilities are not explained very good, and they are too much, especially at…
