It has potential, but there are a few aspects that prevent me recommending at this time: 1) The building and crafting is rudimentary - You can't build walls, roof, solar panels, or many other in game items. In short, you are stuck with the survivor's hut. 2) The survivor is annoying. I wish you could start a game without him. 3) You encounter well formed stone corridors and perfectly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is potential here but theres lots of issues still. Item descriptions are wrong, Mini Dynamite and Dynamite do basically the same amount of distruction which is almost less than the 3rd out of 6 digging tools. inventory space is wildly undersized for the resources you collect and the power system on player is VERY frustrating. using a wooden shovel? gotta watch your battery level. you have to make the digging hole a large distance away from the house requiring ALOT of resources to bring…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Liked the game at the start, but the more I play it the more I dislike it. Things I dislike:- Amount of resource required for items. The F***ing fishing game to get fish for food. The amount of energy used when using upgraded tools. Can't move boxes, so if you want move them you have to break them up and remake them which is just dumb! (Edit:- This seems to have been fixed in a hot fix update) It's a nice looking tropical island but too much copy and paste of plants and trees it looks too…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cant even go further the first 3 Quest, after picking up the Hammer. When i try to collect the 13 parts, they not count as 13 , always stuck at 9/13 , so the Quest is not ready or cant even complete it ! Tried to start again and again and again! Always the same happened. I can repair the Generator Yes, but incomplete Quest.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm only 8 hours in solo and my opinion is that for being early access I very much am enjoying the game. It's quite similar to other games with its own unique twist on survival. You've crash landed and need to dig for ores to process into bars to craft and upgrade items and tools all while discovering surprises underground. Things I think need improvement: 1. You can't hold down shift, alt, or ctrl to queue up multiple items for smelting or crafting. 2. The food mechanic feels weird and it's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first hour was actually pretty fun. Chilling with friends, crafting stuff, building a base... everything was going great. And then I discovered the most annoying bug in the game: IN USE. Normally, "IN USE" means that someone is currently using the object. Makes sense, right? Well... apparently not. Because even when nobody is using it, the game can randomly decide that the object is IN USE. And when that happens, you can't use it, interact with it, or even destroy it. We…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such a relaxing, straightforward game. I have tons of crafting games, but for some reason, Dig Island really resonates with me. It’s easy to understand, easy to get into, and doesn’t feel overwhelming. Maybe I’m just in a good mood, but work is stressful enough, we need games that give us peace of mind, not more stress. Either way, I definitely recommend it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is AWESOME! I enjoy this game, graphics good, crafting good. step by step I'm on my way! oh and did I mention I can BE A REAL GIRL too. some survival games are just guy characters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I know it's called Dig Island and all but holy crap was that boring. It was legit so boring I just had to stop playing and walk away cuz I was falling asleep. When I got to the part about having to dig up 20 charcoal. My wife and I were both playing and we were both falling asleep cuz it was so boring, so long drawn out just to get 20 coal. With a home already provided so there's literally no reason to build your own. Graphics that need better contrast, the sound design and ambiance needs work…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i had a blast on stream with this game it pulled me more and more into learning new things and on my way to build my sand castle finally thank you to the devs for a amazing game and popping into stream to support and help me out when i was stuck overall the game is fun and graphics are clean like really clean runs super super well with average 200+ fps without any dips i need to find sand castle building buddys
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the character portraits are AI generated. I did not play past this, so there may be other instances of undisclosed AI. The AI disclosure only mentions the AI used on the store page, but there is AI in the game as well. edit: the dev says that the store page discloses that there is ai in the game, but the only mention i can find is below. The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this: AI-Generated images are used for game cover of the store page.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Extremely fun, but short. More islands would be nice.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have way too many 'Simjank' games in my collection, but this is certainly one of the better ones. This is why I like it: 1. Minimal jank - in fact, very little at all, everything plays smoothly. 2. All the crafting systems are well designed, and interlock well, you are never short of things to do in the game. It seems that a lot of thought went into this game. 3. It has the genius idea of mashing a digging/exploration game with crafting. This is significant, as you are digging for ore…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game starts off as a "Wtf am I stuck on right now?!" hit box testing simulator and quickly turns into "I can only dig every 4 seconds" and "Omfg my inventory is full and now I can't dig because there's floating ore everywhere blocking my path and the only way to solve the problem is to throw crap on the ground and pick up the ore to be thrown on the ground. Pros: Diggy diggy hole. Cons: You're constantly out of energy. You lose everything if you die including your digging tool which…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is potential in the idea but the execution is very poor. The inventory mechanics are dreadful. The sound is so bad that I had to switch the UI sounds off.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like it, the core idea is actually pretty fun — digging deeper, upgrading tools, crafting stuff, slowly working towards escaping the island. it’s simple but kinda satisfying, especially at the start when you’re unlocking new things and figuring out how everything works. It also suprisingly has some story to it. I really wish we had more digging games like that. Now to my personal negative parts; there isn't much of a "survival" aspect. You don't really starve fast enough, nor does it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was a really fun and memorable experience. I did not expect that incredible ending. Took me quite some time to figure out the code and the entrances, but nevertheless, amazing game! My only suggestion is to reduce player collision with underground ores, which could allow easier movement. And also, a portable crafting station could be interesting, especially in the end game during island hopping. I thoroughly enjoyed the jetpack :) Go for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For now it's like a classic digging game. I wish to see here more like "survival" aspect because of the trailer, but it's very small one, feels more like placeholder. Upgraded (2lvl!) shovel request electricity to work for some reason. Game not saved automatically and (dev said it is... But I've not seen any other saves in save dialoge, so a bit confused) do not support hotkey for quicksave. Will try it a bit more, but I do hope next update can change my mind and I will recommend this.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dig Island is a really good game, the graphics are lush and gameplay is fantastic, only downside is no controller support and i can only play controller but with steam input this helps a little
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great fun. Almost wish it didn't end. WIsh i could fly the plane and build a empire on the island but ah well, onto the next!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Game started out fun, you are stuck on an island so the survival aspect and idea was there then you tell me i need to dig and craft stuff! This has all the right ideas for what digging games are about. A base i can upgrade and see visual changes to within reason for early access. This quickly goes down hill sadly. Between falling through the map in multiplayer and having to craft a new shovel or drill to go get the stuff that fell to the bottom of the world and inventory just filling up…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loving this game. Having played all the hole diggers and being a huge fan of crafting/survival games this one checks all the boxes. Mechanics are good and the guidance quests don't give too much away. The digging area is huge and I hope to excavate it all.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love to dig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun mining game with some crafting .
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game gets the Wife approval rating of 8/10. She liked it. I also liked it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →as of the date of writing this i have played the game for 10 hours. almost straight since i got the game. couldn't put it down. It's a great game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Needs the story fleshed out, and more variety added to the layouts of certain story areas but as is, It's pretty good. P.S. give upgradeable stations the ability to upgrade with resources from shared storage.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Enjoyable Solo game if you treat the game as a cozy crafting game. Would recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Huge fan of the game. I love games like this. It's a digging/underground exploring game with crafting. The crafting is excellent, the game tells you what you need to do with the option to turn the hints off. It's optimized pretty well. The graphics are good, especially the rain. Character animation is good, the guy goes inside when it's raining, that makes sense. Progression is good too. When i get overwhelmed i just start gathering a bunch of ores and craft ingots and then i usually have…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nope. boring. literally a boring digging work simulator.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed this game a lot with a friend in coop. Clever fun mechanics. I can only recommend it to those who like crafting chill games and it also has a nice story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun so far. You can still dig with low energy. Here is a tip, make mini-Dynamite in early game. It's easy to make and idk I like blowing stuff up. You need to fix fishing plz.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →...2.5 hours in and I’m convinced Dig Island is less of a game and more of an unpaid mining job. The grind is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous. You spend ages smashing away at the same ♥♥♥♥ for scraps of progress, and somehow every tiny upgrade feels like youre counting sand. I kept waiting for the “okay, now it gets good” moment... It never came. Just more digging. more farming. more grinding. more wondering why I’m voluntarily doing digital manual labour in my free time. There’s probably a decent game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game. If you like digging, mining, crafting, and upgrading your base and tools to unlock quality of life improvements, this is gonna scratch that itch perfectly. I finished the game in 40ish hours, though I feel like people going at a leisurely pace could take longer and people powering through could do it in half that time. The ability to trade up materials feels nice. The way crafting works, specifically the shared inventory, being able to queue up things before you have the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →only buy if it is cheap... completed multiple times and only have 11hrs in the game..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →kinda fun but not fun alone
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is boring, alot of broken mechanics, going up and down holes is tedious and annoying. there is literally nothing fun to do in the game. im only here because my brother wanted to try it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is an AI slop with Unity assets. I have only played the game in multiplayer but it's unplayable, from lag spikes to rollback after rollback. Also after some time no one could us any crafting bench as they where all in use but no one was using them and we where stuck.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game, plenty to do. Although the more time I spent on the Island the less I wanted to fix the plane to leave.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →played just shortly, but my cup of tea! easy and simple.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It looks simple at first, but it gets surprisingly addictive. The digging and progression feel very satisfying. Co-op is great, but it’s also enjoyable solo.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not play this shameful grindfest.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun short game, not sure if the price is correct. Get it when its 5 bucks. 19.5 hours as a duo
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's like forest from wish, without zombies, with braindead mining addition that doesn't make any sense
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an interesting island survival game! I like the realistic feel and fun orocess to find the blueprints and resources to craft a new plane to escape.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super well paced, will have you hooked without boring or overwhelming you, absolute blast as a couple game. Highly recommend for a ~15 hour game. Couple bugs here and there but nothing game breaking.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it was to easy shame you dont get fly to othere islanand do stuff i hope thats not it if so it was wast of money the game play was good but not long enough
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very fun and addicting game.. even better with co-op. just so much to do. Time flies by so quick when playing so be careful.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool game, I really like it. Simple yet fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Picked this up on sale for just under $12 and finished the main story in about 17 hours playing solo — well worth it imo. The digging mechanics/experience reminded me a lot of "A Game About Digging A Hole", which I also really enjoyed, but Dig Island also has the crafting component, which made it quite satisfying. Not only are you able to craft the items required to complete the story line, but you can use resources to craft consumables to use while exploring and upgrade your base to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love this game but ive absolutlwy no idea how to epuip my GPS watch.....please send help lol
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Neredeyse bir oturuşta bitirdim diyebilirim. Çok eğlendim. Öneririm. Ortak chestin seviye atlaması sınırsız bilginiz olsun. 35-40 lvl gayet yetiyo başka cheste de ihtiyaç duymazsınız. İndirimdeyken kaçırmayın derim.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dig Island is a fun and relaxing place with nice views and enjoyable activities. It’s a great spot to explore, spend time outdoors, and take a break from everyday stress. Overall, it’s a good place to visit for a simple and pleasant experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great little game even as solo just have to grind
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This genre-bending masterpiece is the coolest digging game yet. Not only does it have the aspects all digging games have, like digging for ore and such, but it's also a survival-crafter with a some story. I've only played for an hour so far, but I'm sure that's going to turn into dozens. It's cool to have a digging game where the goal isn't just to reach thee bottom.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Genuinely fun game to play solo or multiplayer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun. All chest should be linked with the shared chest along with any station that requires resources. Or the shared chest should be expandable. Also, as you upgrade your tools they should use less energy to operated since they are more efficient. I upgrade from stone shovel to the carbon fiber shovel and could only dig for about 10 seconds, when I was just using the stone shovel I could dig all day. And food and sleeping should increase energy. It is weird that I have eat food and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game with an unexpected story unveil. Would recommend to everyone who likes crafting and a clear goal in mind.
