The gameplay is great, the characters are each doing their own thing, but it's fun to stick them together in different combinations and see what works. Some of the cards feel pretty useless, but it's probably the case that I am just missing some interaction that makes it work. The idea of combining different status effects is great, but despite the pop-up assuring me I could find all…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Could have been one of the best games I played in a while if it wasn't so half-assed. There's a bunch of bugs, little to no fine-tuning and content is thrown at you at a far too quick pace. There's supposedly some synergy effects, but it's all just dumped on the player in quick succession. No chance to gradually grow into it. And that's a shame, because there's a solid core, beautiful graphics and an engaging story. But it seems like the devs have put a lot of thought into the game, got bored…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's ok. But feels like it's less than it should be. It's just boring is all. I'll open it. Play it for 15 minutes. Close again. There isn't much in the way of RPG elements. Just same-y battles over and over.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An excellent tactical card game with an engaging story and a fantastic cast of unique characters that have amazing synergies between them. The world and art are beautifully hand crafted. I really appreciate the lack of RNG in the cards and the environments. Winning is not chance. Its pure strategy and skill. Definitely worth playing for fans of RPGs, tactics, strategy and deck builders. GG!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Extremely poorly balanced. Battles are a boring slog and the options available are so restrictive that it ends up feeling like a free mobile game. Art is great, characters are cute and the story is interesting, but it's just not a fun card system.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am halfway through the game, I think. I like that the game is a linear story and not a roguelike, but I find the power curve is really lacking. Even after upgrading cards to max level, I still feel really weak against more enemies than my max party of 3. The lack of mobility, the small chances of synergies working, and lack of damage compared to the enemy make battles longer and longer as time goes. The game giving unlimited revives is the only way to get through some battles when you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The graphics and storyline are adorable. Unfortunately the card based combat system is severly lacking. The split battlefield of 3x4 fields for each party is cramped. Every now then then you have spend turns to remove obstructions to gain a least a little freedom of movement. The opponents AI is mediocre at best. The most important feature of your party is the unlimited revive option during compat, else you would not stand a chance even at the early stages of play.

The only downside is that it's a slow burn and needs time to ramp up by unlocking more cards and characters. The game combines card play with positional combat, similar to Gordian Quest where attacks target different lanes and your characters can move out of the way of attacks. Cards have…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have been following this game since its announcement on kickstarter, having played the demo and now completed the game. Super recommended for those who like card games with customization possibilities, fun and unique character archetypes and a strong strategy based combat. The strong point for me was the synergies that can be formed between characters, they are very varied and interesting, making each team combination feel unique. Norton will always be my mvp, the goat, carying me…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far this game is a lot of fun! The deck building is a lot of fun so far and I'm still trying to figure out my favourite combos and style. The characters are cool and the dialogue is engaging and funny at times. I've personally not encountered any bugs. The game plays smoothly with each turn and I love the sequences. I like figuring out what kind of combos and chains I prefer. I like moving around the battle field and "microing". The game blends deck building, exploration, and strategy very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love RPG? [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/39973073/]Make sure to Follow my Curator Page for plenty more! If you love a good story, this one won't disappoint. I liked literally everything about the game: well-designed characters, each with their own personality and set of unique skills, isometric exploration of the world, which is unusual for the genre, and excellent turn-based combat, where position really matters. There are no cons, there are only aspects that can be improved. (I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game so far! The deck-building coupled with the card upgrade system make for some fun combos. Almost like playing Slay the Spire with multiple characters at the same time, but with an actual plot! Movements and animations are crisp (I played at increased animation speed), and characters and story are enjoyable as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ING. Finally a new game on the market, innovative and entertaining, unlike updates or DLC of already known games. The style and design of the game is very beautiful. The mechanics of the cards are very well done and the explanation in the tutorial is simple and easy to understand. Good game Ganymede Games. ESP. Por fin un juego nuevo en el mercado, innovador y entretenido, a diferencia de las actualizaciones o DLC de juegos ya conocidos. El estilo y diseño del juego es muy bonito, y la…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dark Sky is such a fun deckbuilder! It really makes you think about strategy and wonder what your next move should be, but in a totally fun way! Plus the art is so pretty!!! All in all an excellent game, I look forward to beating it later. :^)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's very nice! Deckbuilding mechanics feels satisfying, battles so far are deep and engaging, artstyle's solid. Totally recommended ^^.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Third time stuck on loading screen after first boss fight, unable to continue.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have really been enjoying this game. I am new to deck builders but the mix between the story line and the game play is amazing, and the difficulty is just hard enough (for me) to enjoy this game. I would really recommend giving this one a try, even if its just for the story line :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game ideally combines Slay the Spire-style deckbuilding with tactical combat similar to Into the Breach. You manage your cards and use them in strategic battles that feel challenging but fair. It’s kinda straightforward and you doesn't get cluttered with unnecessary mechanics. If you enjoy both genres, this is a solid choice.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First Turned Based Card Game I've ever played! Really loving the style, the artwork and deck building. I'm honestly quite hooked so far! Really enjoying the story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dark Sky is a turn-based RPG with card-game mechanics for skills/attacks and I'm pleasantly surprised by this little gem. #DarkSky #RPG #TurnBased #cardbattler
unlabelledView post →An enjoyable 20 hours of turn based combat. The story line is interesting and the characters do have a little bit of depth. There could be a little bit more lore as they just toss in various species without too much backstory of the overall universe. The leveling up is fairly straight forward but the new and/or unlocked cards don't really bring much more to the game. For the most part, I stuck with the original cards with a few card purchases. The card upgrades were hit or miss. Some upgrades…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thoroughly enjoying this game - the artwork is gorgeous and card-based combat is a lot of fun. The upgrade tiers for each card offer a good bit of variety to your play-style too! There are some bugs and small elements of interacting with the game that could maybe use a bit of polish, but nothing that really takes away from the experience of playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun card based tactics RPG gameplay. I'm only a few hours in and I can already see the options opening up for novel synergies between the characters, and the different upgrade trees for the cards lets you build and discover your own strategy.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I completed this game on another account, and while this might just be my personal opinion, many might see Squig as the main character, but for me, it's Brae. His heartfelt quest to find his lost love, culminating in their beautiful reunion in the afterlife, was truly wonderful!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably not a good sign when I've found myself only interested in playing for a few minutes at a time. It seems cute, but the actual gameplay feels very tedious. For a similarly structured game with a stronger and more polished implementation, check out Gordian Quest.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great deck builder that adds an engaging story and beautiful art! Its been a blast so far and look forward to more!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great deckbuilder! Experimenting with decks is so much fun! The story is very interesting, characters are funny, artstyle is pretty! I think UI needs some polish, but other than that this is my favourite card-based rpg!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very engaging, good progression. Lots of strategies possible. Great music and sound effects quality (makes me wanna click everywhere lol)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is by far one of the most shallow deckbuilders I've ever played, which is a shame because the systems exist to support something much more robust. Having movement as a defensive option in addition to your standard block cards is interesting, but almost impossible to use in a meaningful way since enemies usually hit your entire side of the field. Card options are incredibly limited and boring. Enemies defense and health drastically outscales player damage, reducing every single fight, no…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short, Sweet, and Solid game. There aren't a lot of deckbuilders that aren't roguelikes, so if that is what you want (It is what I really want) then this isn't a bad choice. I would make a couple of quality of life changes, but overall I think it is pretty fun. I ended up liking the characters, but wish they could have explained some stuff better. The combination of thinking about where to place characters and deckbuilding is pretty fun. I wish they made it heal after every battle, because…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game can be challenging, but also forgiving. I got into some slug fests when I took a poorly-selected team into some fights, but I was still able to pull them off successfully. Positioning matters. It's always a dance between getting out of the way of attacks, being in the right place to hit the enemy, and using defensive skills to just tank the hits. I did die a few times, including the final boss fight. I was able to come back some time later (shortly before writing this) and remember…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is definitely not ready to be released, its full of bugs. 1)Most important is that Cards missing in combat, It happens usually after a few rounds in combat and its sooo frustrating. The cards are there but are invisible in the HUD so its a guess game which is not fun. 2)Hero movement not occurring during battle some times 3)Heroes getting hit for no reason randomly 4)Tool tips hide your card picks while picking from the discard pile Other than that the game is OK, nothing crazy, it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →playing DARK SKY: expecting a bog-standard budget game & instead this is a more deep strategy rpg-lite. Gordian Quest type card combat, but w/pooled AP & you can flip defenses into attack buffs. nice art & above-average writing, too. 👍 #gamesky

Here we have a game which I played, left aside, played again, tried again and again and again etc. I just couldn't get into it and I really don't know why. I mean the story is great, the graphics are decent, the combat... well the combat system was a "thing" I funnily enough had to get…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice deckbuilder with an enjoyable story. Some of the fights are frustrating, but overall each character feels different and fun to experiment with.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool game, the graphics are great and I really like the story!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super intuitive and interesting deck-based fighting mechanic. Really enjoying the game a lot!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I haven't played this game long (79 minutes as of right now I believe), I know I am diving into a special game, made with intentionality to the world the players is introduced to, the characters (both friend and foe), and the mechanics that drive the game play. As someone who primarily plays the large "AAA" titles, the online shooters/battle royals, etc, I've been working to expand my gaming reach and get back to my roots of playing a lot of TCGs, and Dark Sky fulfills that desire of…

unlabelledView post →My last game was a win with one card left in the deck! The design is brilliant. Between the different player events, Dark Sky cards, how the Shadow deck works and myriad objectives, the replayability is through the roof. And, when you lose, you want to jump right back in again.
unlabelledView post →I really wanted to like this game because the story and the environment and especially the character designs are cool. The mechanics of the game are fundamentally sound, but I'm approaching the midway point and the battles have become a slog. The amount of damage party members do barely scale and the best way to take down characters is to attempt chaining the status effects that still aren't explained fully in the tutorial codex. I'm not winning battles because I feel like my deck has improved…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty nice Card Battler. The Game oozes Character, especially with Norton playing off pretty much everyone. That Goofball is just too likeable. The Battles are pretty decently balanced and the different Characters have interesting synergy between them. Give it a try!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice deck builder. Interesting mechanics. Good art and RPG dialog.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game so far
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would love to recommend this game as I really enjoy the characters, artwork and music but I have to agree with other reviewers that the combat is unbalanced. It's very frustrating to do barely any damage while your party is being wiped out, and just reviving over and over again to make it through the battles. I've attempted to complete the game twice and each time have given up late game. I don't think I'll ever finish the story unless this aspect is addressed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dark Sky, developed by Ganymede Games and published by Midwest Games, is a refreshing take on the increasingly crowded deckbuilding genre. Instead of relying on endless roguelike loops, it presents a structured, story-driven adventure that combines tactical positioning, character progression, and card-based combat into a cohesive experience. Set on the troubled world of Wolf Prime, the game invites players into a universe that has been irrevocably changed by a mysterious celestial event. Ships…
