I say "finally" because although the core game is "good," my patience was severely tested by technical issues and meaningless padding until I saw the end credits. Visuals Still Hold Up (But This Is Not a Remaster) Let's give credit where it's due: for a game released in 2011, the graphics still say "I'm here" and are easily playable today. However, I need to make a huge distinction here: the version I played…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing remaster. Accessible and playable on anything outside of a celeron ajdacent based laptop/PC just get at minimum one that can run Counter Strike 2 semi higher settings and this game is accessible (not maxed out). Hands down my favorite FPS game I think. And the only Crysis I've played outside of warhead.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crysis 1 brought an evolution to the clumsy design principles presented in Far Cry, offering a blend of stealth and action with a dynamism reminiscent of immersive sims, albeit in a redundant and insubstantial open world, strangely dry and introspective given its vastness and lush beauty. Despite the hype (including within the game itself), Crysis 1 was far from being a bombastic, open-ended action movie experience given how quickly the suit's energy was drained by the use of its abilities and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crysis 2 boldly moved from jungles to the ruins of New York City — vertical gameplay, cinematic presentation, and an amazing soundtrack took the series to new heights. The remaster enhances everything that made it strong: city atmosphere, spectacle-driven action, and tactical nanosuit abilities. Online in Crysis 2 was lively and intense, and its absence in the remaster is noticeable. 💡 Add-on: The city ruins give an incredible sense of scale and freedom. When you reach the top floor of a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tough to recommend this over the 1st Crysis. This is hardly even a sequel and more of a reboot. Tight arenas, linear progression painted over with a forgettable plot, of course who is playing Crysis for the plot. Very much a 'safe' game, no risks taken with the enemies: guy who shoots, guy who melees, big guy who shoots, and a boss type. 1st Crysis certainly didn't have a lot of variation with only three enemy alien types, one of them being a boss at the end of the game, they still had a…

Honestly this felt more like comeback home than the first game. First Crysis lost the charm and touch with gameplay loop. This in other hand is one of the better FPS created to date. Exploding concrete, dropping giant skyscrapers and shattered windows by alien invasion. You’re but one soldier. One to many to be scared by authorities. Grounded…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The original Crysis 2 was my whole personality when it released back in March 2011. I was so in love with this game. 13 years old me thought 'Alcatraz' was the best name ever and the Nanosuit 2.0 was the pinnacle of supersoldier design. (I still think it is to be honest...) and that main theme by Hans Zimmer is still one of my favorite pieces of video game music. Incredibly epic, it exudes pure bravery and badassery with a touch of mystery and darkness. It still gives me an insane amount of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overlooked Classic, Steam Deck Juggernaut When Crysis 2 originally came out, I simply wasn't a big fan of it. Rather than expanding on Crysis 1's battlefield and environmental scope, they reduced it massively into a relatively linear action-packed FPS with lots of beautiful setpieces. The graphics, while an improvement over Crysis 1, didn't have that same impressive leap. To me it felt like a cop-out and a way to turn Crysis in a console-based series. With that said, this game was in and out…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like Crysis 1 this is also a masterpiece... He have an awesome gameplay, the story is amazing, the mechanics going from cloak or shield are top. The graphics are much improved from the first Crysis. I realy recommend this game, is very good...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I never played the original Crysis 2, but its graphics hold up surprisingly well even today. However, judging by comparison videos, this remaster offers only marginal visual improvements. And while the presentation is solid, it remains the game's sole standout feature. The premise casts you as a soldier in a powerful nanosuit (with stealth, armor, speed, nanovision) tasked with saving New York from an alien invasion. You essentially play as a one-man-army super-soldier, a archetype straight…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crysis 2 is much better in every aspect from the original crysis in my opinion. From graphic, story, music and gameplay. If you like the original crysis and Call of duty series this game is for you. Highly reccomend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Out of the entire trilogy, Crysis 2 feels like the turning point of the franchise. It shifts away from the semi-open sandbox structure of the first game and moves into a more linear, cinematic experience. For some people that was a downgrade. For me, it wasn’t necessarily negative — just different. The setting in New York gives the game a more structured atmosphere. It feels tighter, more focused, and narratively stronger than the first entry. The pacing is more controlled, and the campaign…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crysis 2 is bad ass Sure you can megacheese it and stealth through to every next object passing near all enemies or just 1 shot them all with stealth kills, but you don't have to Theme and theatrics of this game is just bad ass
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crysis 2 is honestly the reason I think the franchise is worth getting into. While Crysis 1 has its moments, Crysis 2 takes the story and characters to another level. The shift from the jungle to a ruined New York gives the game its own identity, and Prophet becomes a much more interesting character than anything the first game offered. What really surprised me was how much better the story pacing worked in a more linear game. Crysis 1 often felt like it was trying to tell an urgent story…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crysis 2 is a better game than I originally remembered. It definitely has the characteristics of a 2011 First-person shooter, but with impressive cinematic set pieces in its single player campaign. While Crysis 2 did stray away from the elements of the first game, I have to admit that I love the war-ravaged New York City setting more. Visually, the game has always been stunning for a 2011 game. The gameplay is a step down from the previous game, but it's still loads of fun to use the Nanosuit…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crysis 2 was rumored to be a bad game with no open world gameplay like Crysis and mediocre story. But I found this game really fun with great combats like vehicular, boss fights and stealth. The graphics of the og Crysis 2 was amazing for the time and the remastered ones nailed it easy. The story is alright with some plot twists here and there. The gameplay is where all the funs are,.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An absolute banger and a blast from the past. The soundtrack is awesome, the gameplay is tight and satisfying and the story is just the icing on the cake. That doesn't mean it doesn't have its problems. It runs on Cryengine so the game looks amazing, however, it runs like poo poo and has 1001 glitches and bugs. My game crashed right after the tutorial forcing me to replay it again. For a "remaster" its honestly abysmal considering it plays worse than the Xbox 360 original version. This…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play the game up to the point where the sewer randomly glitches you out and then you're frozen in place In a little box you can wander in circles around and never get out So you have to turn it off and turn it back on. They never fixed this by the way. It's still there and Unfortunately, they're probably never going to fix it. I think that they released a remaster and it still has this bug. they have no intent on ever fixing it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is how I imagine playing Call of Duty feels like. Non-stop action, buildings coming down, military jargon, army vehicles, explosions, etc. The aliens with their metallic armor give it a Transformers movie vibe. In fact the whole thing feels like an action game directed by Michael Bay, sponsored by Activision. But by today's standards the gameplay is mid at best, the story is generic, and the graphics feel dated even in this remaster. The character models are particularly awful. I'd…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →took everything from the first game and improved it. story is larger, gameplay and mechanics are more detailed, levels are designed better and overall a better experience than the great first game. fps problems still happen in the latest systems but nothing that's annoying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →honestly, i think this one is better than the first one cuz it has better shooting mechanics for me and i like campaign more than sandbox. If u didnt play the first one dont play this one cuz u wont understand anything. I would give it a 100/93 7 points off because of some glitches and remaster is worse than the original but it still doesnt change my points cuz i dont care about little things if u can play the original play it but if u cant remaster is good too but dont expect something like…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crysis 2 Remastered A fine game that is still enjoyable today. Crysis 2 Remastered keeps the same strong gameplay, with smooth shooting and fun nanosuit abilities that let you play in different styles. Compared to the original Crysis 2 (2011), the remastered version has improved graphics, including better lighting, textures, and reflections. The game also runs better on modern systems. However, the core gameplay and level design are mostly the same, so it doesn’t feel very new if you already…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More fun gameplay than the first and great set pieces. Story is not very memorable. Score: 7.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My all-time favorite game. Amazing graphics, an unforgettable story, and the Nanosuit gameplay still feels incredible.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly going from Crysis 1 to Crysis 2 is like going from a luxury sports car to a 1994 ford tempo, it's just terrible, you go from an open world predator simulator where you feel like the boogeyman that haunts the jungle in Crysis 1 to this call of duty esque level system in Crysis 2 that doesn't have any save system except its crappy checkpoints, that can send you back as much as 20-30 minutes of gameplay, you don't get a silencer until you're already an hour or 2 into the game, the gun…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great Soundtrack, Good Story, Good combat. Lot's of nostalgia from this one still have the orginal Ps3 version on my shelf 9/10 Pick it up on sale if your itching for a single player story like it's the 2010s again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s a fun game. But I got stuck on the last mission - the game keeps crashing the moment I kill the first enemy after loading. That's not by design, I suppose. Also, the enemy AI is hilariously bad. They either stand there contemplating life while you unload a full sniper mag into them, or instantly evolve into omniscient gods with wallhacks, tracking and blasting you through walls.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →amazing way better than the first game remastered. Graphics also was way better.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Long time fan of the series. Crysis 2 brings the CryEngine to modern day New York city for an action filled run. The varied enemies make for a decent challenge. The game notches almost everything up from the original Crysis by addng in suit upgrades making for a fun way of getting more powerful. Easily worth the $32 price tag (Canadian), but even better when you can et all 3 games for about $20.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crysis 2 Remastered is a faithful visual upgrade of the 2011 classic. The improved lighting, textures, and ray tracing give NYC a modern shine, though the game doesn’t look as “next-gen” today as the original did back then. Gameplay holds up surprisingly well — the mix of stealth, power armor, and open-ended combat still feels satisfying. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3627464724 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3618966830
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Power fantasy for men. Who wouldn't want to wear a cool suit that gives you superhuman abilities and shoot aliens at the same time? Crysis 2 really holds its own today. Despite the fact that the original was released in 2011, graphically it is still one of the most beautiful shooters. I won't mention the plot because it's like the novels I wrote in middle school - it's there, but it's not necessary. The music is very good. The problem with this remaster is that it is simply unnecessary. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Almost a decade back, Crysis 2 had been one of the handful of games that I owned, so I would play it almost on repeat. Seeing the remaster kicked the nostalgia factor into overdrive, but sadly I feel that C2 has aged not as well as I'd hoped. The Good For a game released in 2011, the visuals are still pretty decent, especially given just how much destruction is going on in the city. And if you're looking to sate your nostalgia then the remaster is a pretty decent bet. The suit is still…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I described Crysis 1 as a 1980's action flick, and this one is perfectly described as a Michael Bay movie. Bombastic, filled with sweeping and explosive action while paper thin characters spout military jargon and random techno-babble. It's way more linear than the OG but still provides you multiple ways to approach a given objective. The gunplay is a hell of a lot better than the first game, as is your Nanosuit, since you can now upgrade various aspects of the suit itself. My one complaint are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My first fps game, also with the coolest armor. the main story is a bit short, graphics good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Woot! My computer can also run Crysis 2! Crysis 2 is a solid follow-up to the original, and honestly, it does a lot right. Visually, it’s a major step up—but it's not just about the graphics. The upgrades to the Nanosuit and overall gameplay feel smoother/sharper and way more fun. More weapons, more customization, more ways to approach every fight. The suit enhancements was a nice way to let everyone approach things differently. It’s definitely more linear than Crysis 1, but that’s not a bad…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Completion #9 - Crysis 2 Remastered. Continuing my playthrough of the series. This one is SO different to Crysis, but still carries a lot of the hallmarks. It's much more 'arcadey' and is more like a CoD game than the original Crysis, which was modelled more on the original Far Cry. /1
unlabelledView post →Crysis 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, i played it on xbox 360 back in the day and holy it looks as amazing 15 years ago as it does 15 years later, crysis is the only series i can say never have been dethroned from being the best looking games with some stellar gameplay and a interesting story atleast what i think of crysis 2 8/10 amazing game in a awesome series!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a bad game by any means imo much better the the first but its also released at a much different time in gaming hence why we see soo many call of duty style set pieces and action scenes. The combat just like the first one is good but suffers from the same ai issues where you could be completely hidden and if you aren't in cloak mode they will spot and shoot you.Guns were pretty good and satisfying ish to use the models also look incredible especially from a game that is soo old despite being…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Glitchy, buggy mess that I think the devs should be ashamed of making it. Crashes all the time and levels lock up. GFY Crysis devs.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An iconic game, my favourite in the series it has the best story, best gameplay and best soundtrack the theme of this game is fantastic and I listen to it during my free time, sure its linear compared to 1 but there are multiple ways to playthrough missions and I always feel bad for Alcatraz and what happens to him.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted a German version of Vietcong, instead I have got Call of Duty from Wish. In other words when the soundtrack is better than the game itself. Idk if the development for consoles hit the limitations here or just not enough of money, but this game is like COD for id*ots. Everything is simplified, cut, dumber and also bugged. Why this remaster exist... nobody knows.. 5/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great game, not as "open world" as the original because of console limitations at the time it was made but still a very good game and the remaster makes it look way better and perform better than the original.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is ok the graphics are not insane, but the gameplay and shoting make it worth it , i enjoy every moments of this games but sometimes with 5k 32:9 ultra wide monitor excepted to be some glitch visual bugs , i turn on Super Resolution and work it like as new
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm going to keep it short and simple: I love Crysis 2 because it has brighten my days when I was down during 2021-2022. Soundtracks is amazing and gameplay is fun. I will always cherish this game no matter what.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay-wise this is a major improvement over the first game. Movement and gunplay are much more smooth and refined. Enemies were a little more diverse and fun to fight but can feel a bit bullet spongy at times. The weapon arsenal is also greatly improved. The story is probably not the primary reason most people play this game but if it is then I would be surprised if you weren't disappointed. They almost completely abandoned the story from the first game - no mention of Nomad or Psycho or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, it's classic, plus i bought the whole trilogy for some very cheap price. Absolutely worth it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When the game crashes (it will often), it can reset your nano upgrades, collectible progress, and graphics settings...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →26) Crysis 2 Remastered Never thought I'd say this, but I think I like this more than the first game. While it loses Crysis 1's more open-ended structure, gunplay felt tighter. I actively switched weapons more, the soundtrack is better, and I even got a bit invested in some of the lore drops.
unlabelledView post →It works i guess ? I don't see the reason for this to be a remaster. The only big improvement is that it doesn't crash and performs well. But graphically ? I would even say that the OG looks better.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cons: * Game launched as an Epic Exclusive originally. * Game launched with Denuvo DRM (it has since been removed). (these two items are why I waited for an extreme sale to buy the game for about $6 in the bundle). * Boss fights weren't all that notable. * Nanovision should never have been dependent on suit energy. * I wish the main character had remained Nomad instead of switching to Prophet. Pros: * Nice graphical upgrade. * Smooth performance overall. * Still a fantastic game and…
