The backing layer is red, so it cuts about 2 stops of light and gives the photos a heavy orange hue! #BelieveInFilm #ShittyCameraChallenge

unlabelledView post →In college my roomie and I did spring break in N. AZ and hit up the Meteor Crater just on the day before they filmed that helicopter scene. There were dozens of rented choppers lined up in the desert around the crater. We had no idea what was going on until the movie came out.
unlabelledView post →Just like I remember watching The Crater Lake Monster, not a great film, but I was one of the last hurrahs for stop motion monster making. The monster was done well for it's budget

Mainly I'll be talking about film, but from a decidedly literary approach. And Sunday AM I'll be reading from CRATER GIRL. Should be fun! Some (much much) bigger names will be there, too.

So they make it to The Crater, which is like a total utopia, but Gerard Butler gets shot saving them from insurgents and FUCKING DIES as soon as they get there. This movie is DEPRESSING AF.

A decent plot is held together well by good acting, solid music and serviceable effects. There are naturally some issues, most notably the arguments between the characters are a bit forced/overly dramatic. Still, it comes together nicely and I found the ending to be rather sweet. A shame that Disney quickly removed this from their +…
positive · AI labelView post →Initially, this reminded me of one of those stories that might have been written by Enid Blyton and made by the Children's Film Foundation. It's starring children and it's, primarily, for children too. After the death of his father in the lunar mines, "Caleb" (Isaiah Russell-Bailey) is to be shipped to the ultimate "Omega" colony were he is to be fostered in luxury. He's not keen, and when chatting with his three friends they decide to pinch a rover vehicle and go for a joyride outside of their…
